Then they turned to each other, noses accidentally bumping together, their smiles fading consequently.
Oh, my. I did not just feel that, this is HARRY. My best friend, Harry.
Hold on. I don't like her like that. Do I?
Harry looked at her, and decided he couldn't ignore his subconcious any longer. He had to do this. He absolutely could not let this feeling pass him by. He kissed Hermione, right on the lips. He felt her tense a bit, as if surprised, and the she seemed to relax completly, winding her arms around his neck, almost like she thought her knees would give out soon. This was nothing like the kiss under the mistletoe with Cho. This was like flying--exhilarating, and free. But like all things of the sort, it had to come to an end. He was losing breath fast, so he pulled back, keeping his eyes closed for a moment, relishing in the atmosphere.
"We'll save our news for tomorrow, shall we?" said Harry, with a wink that made it clear he wasn't only talking about Grawp.
"Yes, all right," agreed Hermione, blushing. "Though I'm not in any hurry.... For Grawp or what just happened with us."
He grabbed her hand and they climbed the steps together.
