Underneth The Mistletoe -------------------------- Disclaimer: I don't own anything you recognize! Ginny was in the fifth year Ravenclaw dormitory. She was wearing muggle clothing, as she often did, since she had stayed with Hermione for a week and Hermione had introduced her to muggle London, the clothes that muggles wore, was the best. Ginny was wearing a tight red shirt that said 'Happy Christmas' in bold green letters and cargo pants. "Luna, just pick an outfit so we can go and finish our homework, so we have no homework during the holiday" "What's the point we'll be here all break, you just want to go because you know Draco will be there." "Why would I be there if I knew Draco was there?" Ginny asked. "Because your in Lo-" "Finish that sentence and be ready to die." "Love with him, oh look I'm not dead." Ginny glared at Luna. "I do not even like Draco!" "Sure." "I don't!" "Fine, do you think your brother rather a red or green shirt?" "He's my brother!" "Red or green?" "Luna how can you like him, He's my brother." "Red or Green." "Green I suppose." Ginny said looking out the window. "Okay then Red it is." Ginny's head whipped over to where the closet was. "But I said green." "And you're always wrong when it comes to your brother." "Yuck." Ginny said, Luna chuckled. Luna stepped out of the closet; she had changed since last year. She always wore her hair semi-back. She took two pieces of her grown out bangs and pulled them back, which made the effect of looking fairly innocent. She wore driedel earrings, and a Red shirt that said 'Happy Chanukah' "Let's go then." Luna said. Draco and Harry were in the back of the library, having a secret meeting, as they did every other day. Draco had turned into a spy for the order during the summer. You see his father wanted him to kill Ginny, and he couldn't. He knew why, and only Harry also knew why. He fell for Ginny, the way she was fearless toward him, the attitude she had with all Slytherin's, she wasn't the shy girl she was first year, she had grown into a feisty girl with an attitude toward anyone who took a step out of line. And Draco didn't know that he fell. He told Harry when they were partnered for potions. Harry was suspicious, but he got Dumbledore to put Ginny into hiding. Draco hasn't gotten the dark mark, because they couldn't find Ginny for him to kill. Draco knows he can only be a spy till he refuses to get the dark mark and then he will be a target, but for now he just updates Harry regularly whom in turn tells Dumbledore, and the order. "Voldemort is planning a attack on Hogsmeade next weekend." Draco whispered to Harry in the library. "Got it, anything else?" "No, still trying to find a way to attack Hogwarts to get Ginny, but that's not new" "Right. Ah speak of the devil." "What?" Draco said quizzically. Harry nodded to where Luna and Ginny were sitting. Draco sighed. "During the holidays everyone will go home, and then you could talk to her, and have a date." "Shut it Potter." "Scared of rejection?" Harry smirked, he knew this was getting to him. "Potter, I am warning you." Draco said his jaw set. "Ginny!" Harry yelled. Draco's eyes widened "Harry. Break hasn't started. Slytherin's are still here." "Insult her then." Harry said. "Go fuck Hermione, you know you want to, but do not set me up!" "Hermione sees me as her brother." Harry sighed. Ginny looked up as Harry called her over; Draco was there also. Luna started humming the wedding song. "Shut up." Ginny said to Luna with a glare, Luna smirked and continued humming. "Hello Harry." Ginny said. "Malfoy." She said in blasé tone but smiled at him so he knew she was acting. "'Ello Weasel." He said as Ginny said his name. "Well I have more important things to do then hang out with two Gryffindor's." Draco said in his snobby manner, and whispered. "See you guys after the feast." Both Ginny and Harry cracked a smile. Ginny took one last glance at Draco he just happened to be looking over his shoulder at the same time both blushed. Luna walked over. "As her true love walks away they take last glances, and meet the others eyes." Luna said in a narrative voice. Harry smiled and did the same. "What shall they do over break, will they snog, or are they just two ignorant to tell the other likes them." Harry said. Ginny rolled her eyes. "He doesn't like me." "Ah-ha!" Luna said. "What?" "You said he doesn't like me, not I don't like him." Luna and Harry smiled. "I hate you." Ginny said. "I know." Luna said. Draco was walking to Slytherin tower, while thinking about Christmas, and Ginny. Maybe I should get her a gift; friends do that. I wonder what she would like, maybe a necklace no a bracelet. Yea, what kind though, maybe I should get Hermione to help me, she knows her better then me. Hermione seems to have taken a liking to me since I don't call her mudblood anymore. Draco got his broom and flew to Gryffindor tower he saw Hermione in her dorm. He knocked on the window. Lavender came up to it. "Hello Draco!" Lavendar said. "Hey Lav, Hermione please." Draco said. You see all of the DA knew he was a spy for them so they had with time become friends. Lavendar seemed to have taken a very deep interest in him. She was okay, but he liked Ginny. "You got it." She said. "Hermione, Draco wants you." Hermione's eyes widened. She walked to the window where Draco was, well hovering. "Get in here! What if you were seen! You moron!" Hermione said. As Draco walked in. "No one saw me." Draco said casually as he set his broom down. She did this every time he visited for info, important news and what not. He was afraid of Ron attacking him, if he went through the boy dorm window. "Well why are you here now? Harry isn't even back from the Library." "Keeping tabs on him are you now 'Mione?" Draco smirked. Lavendar snickered. Hermione looked at her sharply and she shut up. "Which would also explain why you have a picture of him on you night stand." The picture was of Harry catching the snitch in the game against Slytherin this year. "It's a good picture." Hermione defended. "Let's not get off track what's wrong?" "Nothing really I kind of have a private question." He told her looking at the ground. Hermione smirked. "Private?" "Personal." "Why are you asking me?" "It's about a girl." Hermione smirked even more. "What house?" "Gryffindor, could we please talk about this with out them" he said pointing to the other girls. Hermione nodded. They walked onto her bed, closed the curtains and put a silencing charm on it. "Who?" Hermione asked. Draco muttered something that couldn't be understood by Hermione. "I can't hear you." "Ginny." Hermione smiled. "And you're going to ask her out?" "No, I was thinking of giving her a Christmas present." "Oh that's sweet. I wish someone would do that for me." "Doesn't Harry, give you a present every year." "Yea, but he thinks of me as his sister." Hermione sighed. Draco slapped his face. Those two were going to get together one day; he would make sure of it. "Back to my gift, I was thinking jewelry." "Yea, it has to be elegant, but simple." "Which would be?" "Hmm, well what kind of jewelry do you want to get her?" "I was thinking about giving her a bracelet." "Get her. a nice bracelet with different colored beads hanging off different links of the bracelet. Zany, and elegant yet simple." Draco nodded his head. "Are you sure she wants that?" "Yes, I am totally sure, she keeps eyeing I everyday she goes to Hogsmeade, but she won't buy it for herself." "Excellent." Lavendar opened the curtain. "Sorry to interrupt, but Harry is looking for Hermione." They both nodded. "Thanks for the help 'Mione." "No problem Draco." "See you all later." He said as he left. The feast had ended and there was a DA meeting tonight. Draco looked around to make sure no one saw him walk into the room. "Look it's your boyfriend." Luna said to Ginny. "I'll leave you to talk to him." Ginny rolled her eyes. And practiced her patronus. It took form of a fox. "Impressive." Draco said. "I would have thought Phoenix, for you." Ginny smiled at him. "Thank you and what animal do you have?" "A Bear." "Aggressive, yet cute." Draco smiled, and Ginny slightly blushed. The DA meeting went by as any other soon enough it was over. Soon enough it was Christmas day. And Ginny had just woken up. She had a couple of presents on her bed. She reached for a rather small one. She opened the card. Ginny, Hope you have a good Christmas With love, Draco Ginny smiled. She opened the present and saw it was the bracelet she had been eyeing practically forever. She opened the rest of her presents. One from her mum and dad, the usual; a jumper with a 'G' on it. Hopefully this year she sent her the right one and not George's like she did last year. She got a bunch of sugar quills from Ron. Dungbombs from the twins, to keep the Weasley name a troublemaking one. A dragon necklace from Charley. Bill gave her some chocolates from Honeydukes. A pair of small earrings from Luna. A quidditch book subscription from Hermione. And a Puddlemere United book, which held a note that Ginny, laughed at. Ginny, Don't tell Ron I told you this but I think Puddlemere is gunna whoop the Cannons arse this year! Your Friend, Harry Ginny put on the necklace from Charley and the bracelet from Draco got dressed into her jumper and jeans. She then ran down to the great hall where everybody was. She literally bumped into Draco who caught her. She got to her feet and hugged Draco. "Thanks for the present." Ginny smiled up at him. Draco smiled. "No problem, glad you liked it." Draco said. Luna came up behind them. "Well kiss!" Luna said. Both of them looked at her with questioning faces. She pointed above them; they both looked up and saw mistletoe. Draco put his hand on Ginny's cheek and bent down to kiss her. ~The End~
