A/N 2: Okay, I just posted this, but I forgot to add one thing! Gah!
“Um, Draco. Do you think you could go a whee bit slower?”
“Do you love me Ginny?”
“Oh my gosh! You’re going to take me on that?” Ginny Weasley squealed as she slid her hand against the silver and green metal. Draco Malfoy just grinned and nodded. Ginny threw her arms around her boyfriend of one year. They started going out in her 5th year his 6th year and have been inseparable ever since. Some people couldn’t understand their unique relationship. They were complete opposites. Fire and Ice, Soft and Hard, Love and Hate, and yet, everyone knew (even Ron) that no one would could be more perfect for each other. Ginny moved away from him and smiled. “I could have sworn a certain boyfriend of mine said “Bloody Hell! I will never take you on a motorcycle, muggles die on them all the time and most wizards don’t know how to properly drive them causing death!’” Ginny crossed her eyes and pretended to imitate Draco. Draco slapped her behind playfully and put on a helmet.
“Come on, bitch. I’m taking you for a ride of your life!” Draco got on and threw her a helmet. Ginny tried putting it on but it fell off.
“The clasp broke!” She cried and threw the helmet aside. Draco stepped off and examined the helmet.
“You’re right. Well, I guess I’ll just have to be extra careful then. You want my helmet?” He asked and began to take his off.
“No, no. It’s fine, I’ll just put my arms around you tightly” She purred playfully. Draco chuckled and got back on the bike. Ginny got on after him and they drove off.
“It’s really nice of Hogsmeade to let us ride on your bike.” Ginny shouted over the sound of the wind. Draco just nodded and kept his eyes on the rode. Ginny pushed her body closer to his and laid her head on his back. They drove like that for a half an hour. They were on the out skirts of Hogsmeade and Ginny began to get worried. She bit her lip nervously as she noticed Draco hadn’t slowed down for a while.
“Um, Draco. We can start heading back now.” She said nervously. Draco nodded and made a sharp turn back making Ginny nearly fall off. “WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?” She screamed.
“Sorry Gin.” He mumbled and Ginny instantly regretted yelling at him as they arrived back in Hogsmeade’s city-limits. Ginny brought her mouth close to his ear.
“Um, Draco. Do you think you could go a whee bit slower?” She said softly.
“Do you love me Ginny?” Draco asked suddenly as they sped past the cave. Ginny nodded.
“Yes, yes Draco, of coarse just, slow down!” She cried. Draco took off his helmet and handed it back to her. Ginny took it and put it on.
“Hug me?” He asked in a small voice. Ginny wrapped her arms around him and squeezed. “I love you too.” He said softly and turned sharply towards some trees.
“DRACO! WATCH OUT!” Ginny screamed.
Everything went black.
~*~
Ginny’s eyes slowly fluttered open. She could hear voices all around her.
“I saw him with the helmet though!”
“She is one lucky girl.”
“His mum is here. I think she’s in shock.”
“First her husband and now her son.”
Ginny languidly looked around a bright white room and covered her eyes.
“I think she’s awake!” Someone said and Ginny heard someone come over to her. “Are you okay Ginny?” Ginny recognized Ron’s voice. Ginny tried to nod but it hurt too much. “It’s okay Gin.” Ginny could distantly feel Ron’s hand patting her head. “Just sleep.” He murmured and Ginny closed her eyes.
~*~
Ginny opened her eyes again and noticed a presence in the room. Ginny slowly turned her head to the right and smiled weakly.
“Hello Harry.” She croaked out. Harry looked up and stumbled to her side. Ginny had broken up with Harry before she dated Draco. They went out for 2 months in the summer but Ginny just couldn’t pretend to love him like that anymore. Harry put his hand on her cheek and softly caressed it.
“I can’t believe it, you’re okay.” Harry said softly.
“What happened?” Ginny asked, suddenly worried. “Where’s Draco?” She panicked and sat up quickly. Harry looked nervous.
“I- I well…”
“Ginny!” Ginny turned to the door and saw her mum run in. Ginny smiled when her mum hugged her. “We were so worried about you! My god, I nearly passed out!” She cried and squeezed her daughter harder. Ginny slowly moved out of her mother’s embrace and looked at her seriously.
“Mum, where is Draco? When can I see him?” She asked and stared into her mother’s eyes. “He’s alright, right?” A tear ran down Molly Weasley’s face as she stared into her daughter’s hopeful eyes.
“He didn’t make it Gin. The, The Brakes died, Draco must have known they didn’t work when you were riding, and gave the helmet to you.” She said softly and held her daughter’s hands in hers. Ginny’s mouth fell open. “You’ve been in here for 5 months. Every day someone sits here by your bed and waits for you to wake up. We’ve been waiting so long and Harry-“
“You’re lying to me! Tell me where Draco is!” She cried pushing her mother’s hands away and looking around as if Draco would jump out from somewhere.
“Ginny, he died instantly in the crash. We’ve been waiting for you to wake up before we held a funeral. You were paralyzed from the neck down. They fixed that, but Ginny, the doctor’s say…” Ginny pushed her covers off and tried to get out of bed.
“What kind of spell is this? Let me see Draco!” She screamed. Molly held her daughter and buried her face into her hair.
“Ginny, Draco is dead, and you’ll never get to walk again.” Molly cried. Ginny stopped moving and tears began to pour down her face.
“Mum, mum. Please, tell me this is a lie.” But the look on her mother’s face held no humor. And for the 1st time in her whole life, she felt hopeless.
