1. The Plans

There were whispers everywhere, as the firelight from the fire shown on the 7th Year Gryffindor’s. Many were rubbing their temples, and throwing down their quills in frustration. Other’s such as Hermione Granger and Harry Potter were laughing at each other, quite obviously done with their Homework. “Ron!” Lavender whispered to Ron, who was teamed up with Lavender during their Transfiguration homework. They were almost done.

“What?” Ron replied eyes still skimming the things he had written so far. He had Defense against the Dark Arts Homework still to do, but figured he’d tackle that next, knowing well that Professor Sorenson didn’t make it difficult.

This was the first of many they needed to complete. Professor McGonagall was the first to assign and want it back first. So they were prioritizing the best they could manage. And for once they were actually doing their homework. I guess they really did care about their futures after all.

“Ron, we need to do something about two people I know,” motioning over to where Hermione and Harry were sitting making jokes, giggling, laughing, and tickling each other.

“Hmm,” was all Ron managed to say. He thought for a second, and placed his chin upon his knee, which was right up against his chest. His eyes for once that night were not on his paper, but wandering over to Harry and Hermione.

“You’re right; something needs to do something about them, those two. They are so clueless about everything that happens when they’re not looking. People placing bets, and making – don’t get me wrong – remarks.” He sighed and went back to revising his paper. All those years Hermione spent badgering them about doing their homework, really paid off.

“Now what shall we do?” Lavender remarked not taking her eyes off Ron. Ron who didn’t notice this, just kept on reading his paper.

“We?” He said looking up at her skeptically.

“Oh, come on Ron! We need to help those two out, they are hopelessly in love, and are just too darn clueless!!” Lavender said maybe a little too loud, but she obviously didn’t care, she kept her eyes on Ron, when people looked over, and started whispering, and pointing in their direction.

He looked around, and looked at Lavender, he sighed, “You’re right.” He said this while dropping his quill and paper.

“We need a plan.” Said Lavender coming over and sitting on the arm of his chair. She began to play with his hair unnoticing what she was doing. He didn’t seem to mind.

He got a grin on his face.

“I’ve got the perfect idea,” he said grinning ear to ear.  She pulled her hands back to herself, and replied with a, “well?”

~*~*~*~*~*~*

“Ron, I can’t believe this!! We’re going to help them out so much!” Jumping up and down a couple times, and hitting his shoulders excitedly.

He laughed, and started to walk right in front of the room for requirements.

He paced the hallway that was placed in front of the ‘room.’

Then a door appeared.

“Ron!!”

“Okay, now we need to get them. Lav, you need to get Hermione, and well, obviously I’m getting Harry. Make sure to confuse her. Although it will take a while to do that.”

He scrunched his face up, and looked a bit bewildered. She just gave him a look that represented humor.

“Ron, she’s the smartest witch in Hogwarts, get over that! Don’t worry, I have a plan.” She said, grinning, and jumping around, in search for Hermione. This is going to be good.

Ron came out of his little trance, and they both left going opposite directions to get the two people. Harry and Hermione.

Uhm, I wrote this ages ago… I actually rewrote it because the first version SUCKED. But oh well, lol. There you have it. Please… flames should be sent via email. Otherwise, feel free to comment (nicely) on this fic that is dumb and unknowingly stupid.

2. Now that is has changed, what are they gonna do?

A/N: Hello!! Well, wasn’t that a great story, part, beginning of a story. Yeah, well, I’m hyper right now, so bear with me!!! Have fun reading this!!!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Lavender and Ron went and found their ‘subjects.’

Ron was heading toward the Great Hall, where he was almost sure Harry would be nicking some food from the kitchens. He went through the door, and saw Harry just coming out of the portrait of fruit.

“Harry!”

“Ron!”

“Hey, I’ve been looking for you everywhere!”

“Well, here I am, nifty and full,” he grinned, and patted Ron on the back.

“Well, its Saturday night, any plans to irritate Filch?” Spoke Ron, walking from the Great Hall with Harry at his side.

“No,” Harry grinned, “not yet.”

Lavender, on the other hand was having trouble finding miss bookworm. She had checked the Gryffindor common room, Head Boy and Girl common room, Hermione’s bedroom, and the entire Library.

Lavender was walking on the east wing, second floor, about to ascend to the third floor, where she knew she would encounter Ron, and a clueless Harry, when she came upon a room lit with half a candle.

“Hermione!”

“Wha—. Lavender! What are you doing here? I thought you were doing work!” Hermione raised her eyebrow, and shut her book, put it underneath her right arm, and walked toward Lavender.

“Well, what are you doing here?” Lavender chuckled and took Hermione’s hand and sped up to the third floor. Hermione had no time to object. She just followed along as if she was a play thing.

Both anxious and excited, Lavender was surprised to see that Harry and Ron were meeting at exactly the same time!

Ron gave Lavender an apprehensive look.

“Why, Hey Harry!” Hermione said, and smiled.

“Hey Hermione!” Harry said back. “Hey Ron,” whispered Harry, “can the girls be in on it too?” Ron nodded his head, and grinned.

Harry and Hermione met halfway, which was right in front of the room of requirements, and smiled at each other, then turned to Ron and Lavender.

Ron just smiled, and Lavender grinned a knowing grin.

Ron went behind Hermione and Harry, opened the door, and pulled Harry in, Hermione next. Ron closed the door. He huffed, and turned to Lavender.

He heard a yell, and then turned around. He did a silencing charm on the door. Hoping it would work. It did.

^^^^^^^

(In the closet)

Hermione had dropped the book on Harry’s foot, he yelled, and almost kneed Hermione in her thigh.

“Harry, are you in front of me?” Hermione spoke to the darkness that Harry and her were in.

“Yeah Hermione. Right here,” he said and reached out in front of him. He hit her on the side of the head.

“Ouch Harry! What did you do that for?” Hermione said, poking him in the ribs.

“I should ask the same thing! Hermione I can’t see you!.”

“Well, damnit, we don’t have our wands. We can’t see anything, and how long do they expect us to stay in here?”

“Hermione--.” Harry was the first to realize that they were both up against each other.

“Harry, what’s the---.” She then realized.

“Can you move back?” She said trying to move backward herself.

“Does it look like there is any room?”

“Right,” Hermione replied.

There was an awkward silence, and both kind of tried to hide into the darkness. Obviously the dark had its advantages. They wouldn’t be able to see the other one blush.

“So, Hermione, what are we going to do about this,” gesturing to in front of him, although it was hard to see.

“Harry, I’m sure there is nothing we can do at the moment. We just have to wait.”

“In this position?” Harry chuckled.

“Unfortunately, yes.” She laughed a nervous laugh.

She heard him sigh. Then she expelled a sigh of her own, causing a laugh from the other end of the closet, if you could call it the other end.

“Why do you think we ended up like this? In a closet? This position?” Hermione asked unknowingly.

“You have no idea.” Harry spoke, rubbing his head.

“Harry,” she began to get a bit restless.

“Everyone thinks we should be together. This was just Ron’s joke on us; or rather, attempt to make us a couple.”

“But why?” Hermione asked hastily.

(This part is where Harry’s thoughts come into the picture)

She sure is smart. “because, I’m Harry Potter, and you’re my best friend. We do everything together. They see us together constantly. They sure do assume wrong, don’t they?”

“Got that right.”

Why would it be so wrong to go out with me? What’s wrong with me? Wait. No… he shook his head violently, and as easy as possible, to refrain from his head hitting a side of the closet.

“What’s wrong Harry?”

“N-n-othing.” Harry? What’s wrong with you? Maybe… no. He blinked at himself back to reality, and then just went back to talking with Hermione.

Meanwhile

“How long should they be in there?”

“I don’t know, they might be tired, because it’s almost bedtime. Ron, conjure a couch, will you?”

“Sure no problem.” He flicked his wand, and sat down next to Lavender.

“Do you think this will work?”

“It should,” Ron replied, biting his lip.

“Did you know, you’re cute when you do that?”

Ron blushed, and smiled at Lavender.

Back in the closet

(Hermione’s thoughts now)

Boy, we are sure close, but it’s not bad. I’m so close to his face… no… no… Hermione, you said you wouldn’t fall for him!! Look what you’re doing! What am I doing? Thinking about his lips? Oh… this is bad.

“So, Hermione; how is life?”

“Funny time to ask that,” when I’m 2 inches away from your face!

“It could be better,” down Hermione that was too harsh.

“Oh.”

He sounded a bit hurt.

“I’m sorry Harry,” She put her arms around him, and hugged him. He gladly hugged her back.

Why does this feel so good? Because he’s holding you; shut UP! No.

“Hey, Hermione, we really never knew each other you know?”

“Yeah… I know, I know we’re been friends for who knows how long,” 7 years, “and we know only a little bit about each other.”

“Yeah, you’re right.”

“This may sounds stupid Harry, but I don’t know your favorite color,” Hermione laughed nervously.

“Red,” Harry said bluntly.

“How about yourself Hermione?”

“Green,” now let’s hope he doesn’t realize that’s his eye color. Wait. When did green become my favorite color? Oh man.

“Hermione…” he rested his hands on her hips.

Those…are his hands. On my hips. Crap, this is going to be a hard time in this closet.

He he, I figured I’d end it there for today! Sorry it took so long to update, I’ve been at my mom’s house for some time, and I haven’t been able to access this page. Sorry everyone –again.
