1. The Nightmare Begins

Disclaimer: I don't own any of the Harry Potter world, or characters etc…

Warning: H/G at beginning, though I wouldn't really call it anything myself.

A/N: I know this has been done so many times but give it a chance ok…anyway review and tell me what you think PLEASE!

The Nightmare begins…

Ginny opened her eyes slowly. It was not possible but she thought she could hear male voices drifting through her dorm.

“Haha you idiot, what do you think you are doing?” An amused, but clearly male, voice said sounding horribly close to Ginny.

“I'm trying to see if my butt looks big in this if you really must know” Another male said tiredly. “Millicent said my bum looked fat”.

The male laughed. “Crabbe your butt always looks fat, you are fat.”

Ginny breathed deeply. It was all just a horrible dream. It was not possible that Vincent Crabbe was in her dorm trying to determine whether his bum looked big or not. It was not possible that boys were even in her dorm. Ginny pinched herself and bit her lip as pain seared through her arm. Ok it wasn't a dream but clearly something wasn't right.

“Oi Draco!” The male said still laughing, “Get your girly looking butt out of that bed and get dressed.”

Ginny sat up. “Draco?” she said confusedly.

Blaise Zabini looked at her in concern. “Are you feeling ok Draco? You look a little pale.”

Crabbe snorted while trying to disentangle his robes from his head.

“Well paler then usual” Blaise amended with an amused glint in his eyes.

Ginny stared at Blaise blankly. “What are you doing in my dorm?” She said shocked. It then occurred to her that her voice was deep and not her voice at all.

Blaise rolled his eyes. “Did you bang your head or something? If you don't remember this is my dorm too. I've only been sharing it with you for the past seven years.”

Ginny just stared at him. Why did Zabini keep calling her Draco? And why was the dorm so dark? Getting out of the bed she walked over to the mirror. She gaped in horror as the surprised face of Draco Malfoy stared back at her. His cold grey eyes widened in shock and his thin lips, for once free from his trademark sneer were open in panick. “This is not happening,” She said hysterically.

“Uhh you alright mate?” Blaise said looking genuinely worried at his friend's odd behaviour.

“I'm fine” Ginny said weakly before fainting.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Draco smiled and rolled over in his bed. It was going to be a wonderful day, he could just tell. Sitting up he pushed the covers off him and stepped on to the floor. For some reason he felt a lot shorter then normal, but figured it was just because he had woken up; it had been a rough night.

“Hmm what to wear” he said absently. He paused as his brain finally registered one fact; he wasn't in his dorm.

“What the?” Draco said clearly puzzled. He became even more shocked when a soft musical voice issued from his mouth. “What's going on…?” Draco panicked.

A girl sat up and rubbed her eyes tiredly. “What are you doing Ginny. Shutup would you, I'm trying to sleep.”

Draco stared at her perplexed. “My name is not Ginny” was all he could say, again in that same girlish voice.

“Fine.” Ginevra would you please shutup” The girl snapped.

Draco stared at the girl thinking she was clearly mad. He felt his stomach grumble and looked at his stomach to find certain things distracting his vision “I have boobs,” Draco exclaimed clearly horrified.

He ran to the mirror and stared at the reflection. His face fell ludicrously as his gaze looked not onto the usual reflection he was used to seeing everyday but instead he saw a girl with deep brown eyes that were veiled with lustrous long lashes; they were amazingly dark despite her luxurious auburn hair. Her pretty soft lips were open in shock and her pale cheeks were lightly dusted with freckles; one would almost call them cute. Draco could only gape at the girl before him. It just could not be true. There was no way that he was in the body of none other then that damned she-weasel.

“Ahhh this is a nightmare!” Draco exclaimed dramatically.

The girl opened her eyes with a snap, “I though I told you to shut it. Geez, just because you go out with friggen Harry Potter doesn't make you the Queen of the World you know, some of us are actually trying to sleep.”

Draco's mouth fell open. “She goes out with Potter? Ugh talk about bad taste.”

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Ginny opened her eyes to see Blaise Zabini's face looking over her. To her left was Vincent Crabbe and on her right was Gregory Goyle.

“Phew, Draco you gave us quite a fright. You alright?” Blaise said helping Ginny to her feet.

“Umm I'm fine…” She said cautiously. It was obvious she was somehow in Malfoy's body, and in his dorm with his friends.

“Well you better get dressed we're already late for breakfast and you know how Pansy hates to be kept waiting” Blaise said smirking as he said Pansy's name.

“Uh right.” Ginny said stupidly. She realised she wasn't being a very believable Malfoy, but she was so confused.

“Draco?” Goyle said in his trollish accents.

“Oh right” Ginny said blushing and walking over to Draco's drawers. She couldn't believe what she was about to do. Ginny opened them and pulled out the Hogwarts uniform throwing it unconcernedly on the bed. She then proceeded to pull of the silky pyjamas she was wearing and tried desperately not to blush. “Malfoy definitely has been holding out on us. Who knew he would have such a hot body. Ohh crap did I just think that?” Ginny mentally scolded herself and quickly got dressed. She looked in the mirror and again saw the familiar face of Draco Malfoy looking back at her. She hurriedly brushed her blonde hair and walked over to the group of Slytherin boys. “Ready” she said sighing.

“Good. Uh you're not going to fix your hair?” Blaise asked looking at Draco's messy hair.

“What?” Ginny said confused.

“Never mind.” Blasie said putting an arm around his friend. “C'mon, I'm starving.”

Blaise led Ginny out of the Slytherin's dormitorys and into the common room. It was rather different to what she expected. There was an open fire but it didn't give that same warmth the Gryffindor one did. The décor was all in green and silver of course and there were a lot of black leather armchairs dotted around.

Blaise pulled her through the portrait hole and led her off to the Great Hall. He had been talking to her the whole way and all Ginny had been doing was saying `mmm or really?' from time to time.

Blaise stopped and looked at her. “Are you sure you're alright. You've been acting so…odd.”

“I'm just tired” Ginny said quickly. These Slytherins were too sharp for their own good.

They walked into the Great Hall and Ginny found herself walking automatically towards her usual seat at the Gryffindor table when Blaise's amused voice said in her ear, “Ready to taunt the Gryffindors already Draco? You know they aren't worth it.”

Ginny suddenly realised her mistake but it was too late. She looked at Crabbe and Goyle who were looking at her expectantly, clearly thinking she was about to give them a laugh at the Gryffindor's expense but Blaiselooked as if he wastrying not to roll his eyes. Ginny's eyes fell on Ron who was glaring at her with pure hatred in his eyes. Really she had to wonder how Draco even managed to say his insults being confronted with such intense rage in her brother's brown eyes.

“Not now,” Ginny said quickly. “McGonnagol is watching”

Blaise nodded and pulled Ginny away from the Gryffindor's table towards their own and sat down. Ginny only had the chance to sit and grab her plate before a girl sat down beside her and clutched her arm possessively.

“Good morning Draco” The girl said looking up at Ginny and smiling seductively as she ran her hand up Ginny's thigh.

Ginny stared at the girl with short black hair and deep blue eyes. She would have been pretty if it wasn't for her pug like nose and the expression of superiority that frequently occupied her face. However right now Pansy Parkinson was looking at Ginny with such a ridiculous expression on her face that Ginny found it hard not to laugh.

“Do you mind?” Ginny said hoping she would go away.

“Mind what Draco?” Pansy said sliding her hand up further.

Ginny leaned away and looked at Pansy in horror. “What the hell are you doing you pug-faced cow?”

The Slytherins guffawed at her statement and Pansy flushed with outrage.

“Draco what is the matter?”

“You.” Ginny said bluntly, that was horrible, she couldn't believe that slut Parkinson.

Pansy glared at him. “Is that anyway to treat your girlfriend?”

“Girlfriend?” Ginny said incredulously

Pansy glared at him, “Yes girlfriend you idiot, or did you forget?”

Ginny sat there confused. She had no idea Draco had been dating Pansy. “Ahh sorry”

Blaise looked at Ginny trying not to laugh.

Pansy glared at Blaise but turned her dark eyes back to Ginny, “I hope you remember our date tonight by the fountain?”

“Yeah, of course I remember” Ginny said unconvincingly.

Pansy narrowed her dark blue eyes, “You'd better Draco.”

Ginny swallowed. Being Draco Malfoy was going to be more difficult then she thought.

OOOOOOOOOOOO

Draco walked out of the Gryffindor common room and began walking disgruntled to the Great Hall for breakfast. He was not enjoying his time in theshe-weasel's body. He found it damn annoying trying to put on a bra and was finding it very difficult to keep his mind of thedainty body he was in and on how disgusting the she-weasel was.

He glared at a few students as he walked down the corridor but froze when he felt a pair of strong arms snake around his waist and kiss him on the neck. “What the hell!” Draco yelled before spinning around to see Harry Potter smiling at him. “I missed you this morning, why didn't you wait?”

Draco stared at Harry and quickly darted out of his arms. “What are you doing?” Draco hissed.

“What's the mater Gin?” Harry said confused.

“You can't snog me in the middle of the corridor” Draco improvised. He was still trying not to be sick at the feeling of Harry kissing his neck.

Harry laughed, “Since when did you become so self-conscious Gin?”

Draco rolled his eyes, “Keep your pants on Potter, or else I'll miss my breakfast.”

Harry stared at Draco dumbfounded. “You know you sounded horribly like Malfoy just then, what's up?”

Draco walked in silence, “Maybe if I ignore him he will go away”. Draco thought

Harry put an arm around Draco's waist and walked with him down the corridor “Damn that Potter! What the heck does he think he is doing?” Draco thought scowling to himself.

They entered the Great hall together and Harry took Draco's hand (who shuddered) and led him to the Gryffindor table.

Draco's eyes scanned the Great Hall and narrowed as he saw Pansy Parkinson talking to the Draco imposter. He watched the fake-Draco's face lean back in horror as Pansy smiled. Draco sniggered. Clearly Ginny wasn't enjoying the clingy attentions of Pansy. “Not that I've got it any better, with Potter trying to snog me everywhere.” Draco thought miserably. He had to talk to Ginny soon and figure out how to get his body back.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Draco was walking down the corridors when he saw pale blonde hair walking around a corridor. He quickly followed and groaned as he saw his body start walking towards the girl's bathroom. “Weasley!” Draco yelled grabbing Ginny's arm. “What are you doing going to the Girl's bathroom.”

Ginny turned to face Draco and yelped. She was staring at herself. “My body” She exclaimed.

Draco rolled his eyed, “Give me my body back Weaslette.”

“How? I don't know how we got this way in the first place.” Ginny said confused.

“I don't care!” Draco screamed. “I've had enough surprises in your body thank you. If Potter kisses me once more I swear I'm going to be sick.”

Ginny smirked, “You let Harry kiss you?”

“He kept sneaking up on me” Draco said heatedly, “Now you give my body back!”

Ginny sighed. “I would if I knew how, believe me, I'm just as anxious to get my body back as you are but I don't know how.”

Draco glared at her. “Well then we will just have to find a way. Clearly it isn't polyjuice potion because it's been longer then an hour.”

Ginny nodded, “So what do you think it is that has happened to us?”

“I dunno” Draco shrugged and suddenly became serious. “Listen Weasley, it seems like we are going to be stuck this way for a while so I think we have to start taking this a bit more seriously. You need to start acting more like me.”

Ginny nodded, “Likewise Malfoy.”

“Let's go somewhere and discuss what we are going to do. We can't stand in the middle of the corridor like this” Draco said annoyed.

Ginny sighed, “This is such a nightmare.”

Keeping Up Appearances

Draco and Ginny walked into an empty classroom and sat down.

Draco looked at Ginny and sighed. “First things first, you can't slouch like that.”

“What?” Ginny said confused.

“A Malfoy never slouches. You have to sit up straight. And stop gaping at me like that; a Malfoy never shows when he doesn't understand something.”

Ginny stared at him before sitting up straight. “Talk about stiff”

“Excuse me?” Draco asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Nothing” Ginny huffed.

Draco stared at her but decided to ignore the comment, “Well she-weasel, the main thing you need to know in being me is that you are better then everyone. You do not admit you are wrong, you do not help people; you do not notice people who are non-Slytherin unless it is Potty, Weasel and Mudblood, in which case you must insult them. Oh and Longbottom too; he makes good target practise.” Draco seemed to contemplate something, “Hmm I guess that's all for now. I'm sure you can figure out the rest.”

Ginny stared at him. “You are so horrible. How can you act like that?”

“Because I can.” Draco said simply. “So what do I need to know to be a good she-weasel?” Draco asked, his mouth forming a smirk.

Ginny glared at him and then sighed. “I don't know. It's kind of hard to explain myself. I guess the only thing I need to say to you Malfoy is to be the complete opposite of yourself. Be nice to people, accept everyone and don't insult Harry, Ron, Hermione, or Neville!”

Draco rolled his eyes, “You're no fun, but I'll do it.”

“Good.” Ginny said, standing up. “I guess we should try meet at lunch in the library to see if we can find anything on what is happening to us.”

“Right.” Draco said, as he too stood up, “Oh and Weasley”

“Yes?”

“Don't you dare snoop around my stuff or you'll wish you were dead.”

Ginny rolled her eyes, “Like I'd really want to. That goes for you too Malfoy. If you dare go through my stuff…” Ginny trailed off leaving it to his imagination to figure out what she'd do.

Malfoy only laughed and smirked at her, “Oh and here I was looking so forward to exploring your underwear drawer.”

Ginny glared at him and made a furious swipe to hit him but Draco stopped her.

“Hey Weasley aren't you forgetting you are in my body. You could do some serious damage to yourself if you hit me.”

“Oh shutup.” Ginny screamed, as she stalked out of the classroom.

Draco smirked and followed her out.

OOOOOOO

“Hey Ginny” A girl squealed as she ran towards Draco and clung to his arm. “Where have you been? I was looking for you after breakfast and I couldn't find you.”

“I was busy” Draco said, glaring at the bubbly blonde next to him.

“What's with you?” The blonde asked.

Draco said nothing

“Oh, is it that time of the month Gin? Poor you.”

Draco glared at her. “No it is not that time of the month you crazy wench!”

He suddenly remembered he was supposed to be acting like Ginny and bit his tongue, “I mean I'm sorry I'm just a little tired.”

The blonde cocked her head but shrugged, “I guess you did have a rough night last night.”

Draco nodded his head, not having any clue what she was actually talking about. “That's right.”

“Well come on we've got potions now!” The blonde said pulling Draco forcefully into Snape's dungeon.

Draco found himself sitting in his usual chair. “Hmph, so the she-weasel sits here too.” He thought to himself.

Professor Snape tore into the room, with the same fuming expression he always wore. “Today we will be making a strengthening solution. The instructions are on the board, you may start now.”

The blonde sighed. “Trust Snape to give us a hard potion straight away.”

Draco looked at her blankly. This was easy stuff compared to what they did.

He set to work immediately. Snape wandered over a few times and merely sniffed as he stared at Draco's solution.

Snape then turned to the blonde next to Draco and sneered. “Tell me Miss Rosedale, did you even read the instructions?”

The blonde bit her lip and looked fearfully at the potions master “I did read them”

“Then how is it that you have failed to add the most important ingredient?”

The blonde hung her head in embarrassment. “I'm sorry Sir”

“Your excuses are nothing to me Miss Rosedale, this potion is useless.” Snape said, his lip curling.

He waved his wand, which instantly vanished the potion in the blonde's cauldron and stalked off to breath down other student's necks.

Draco could only stare at Snape surprised. “That was totally unfair. You could have easily fixed that.”

The blonde looked up with tears in her eyes, “He wouldn't have cared. He only helps the Slytherins. Look.” She said gesturing to Snape who was now helping a weedy Slytherin fix his potion. “It's just not fair.”

Draco frowned slightly. He always found it funny that Snape despised the other houses and only liked the Slytherins but being on the receiving end was a little different.

The class finished and Draco took his sample up to Snape, who looked down his nose at the potion. “Hmph, Weasley, it seems you have somehow managed to create a potion that hasn't blown up in your face. I'm surprised, but it still doesn't reach standard.”

Draco glared at Snape. “This would give me an E at least. What are you talking about?”

“Don't talk back to me Weasley” Snape said icily. “That's twenty points from Gryffindor and a detention.”

Draco opened his mouth to retort when a brunette with large green eyes grasped his arm. “Ginny c'mon, Oricarn is waiting for us.”

Draco let himself be pulled and looked at the blonde, who he figured must be Oricarn.

“He's so evil!” The brunette spat angrily. “He gave Ginny a detention just because her potion was good. Speaking of that, how did you get so good suddenly?”

“What are you talking about?” Draco said confused.

“Well that's the first time you've ever concocted a potion that didn't melt your cauldron or blow up. I must say Ginny we were all quite surprised,” The brunette said bluntly.

Draco stared at the brunette. Really, Weasley must be dumber then I thought. He thought to himself. Smiling slightly he said, “I guess the studying helped.”

The blonde smiled, “I guess so. Well, Lyra, Ginny, let's go, we've got to get to Divination.”

Draco followed the two girls as they chatted happily about their next class. This is more trouble then I thought it would be, Draco thought unhappily.

OOOOOOOO

Ginny sat brooding over the mess of Transfiguration notes in front of her. I don't have a damn idea what these things are on about, she thought angrily. Who knew NEWTS were so hard. I've only just started on this kind of stuff.

Blaise turned to Ginny with an amused look and whispered in her ear, “Look at McGonagall through these.” He said handing her a pair of glasses Goyle had just been wearing.

Ginny put them on a little apprehensively and immediately tried to stifle a giggle as she looked at Professor McGonagall; she was unmistakably wearing tartan underwear.

Ginny took them off and handed them to Blaise. “Who would've thought? Everything really is tartan with her. She really must have Scottish pride.” Ginny whispered.

Blaise nodded with a smile and promptly changed his expression to one of deep concentration as McGonagall walked towards their table.

She peered at the badger that was still stubbornly refusing to vanish on Ginny's desk. “Mister Malfoy I would like to talk to you after class.”

Ginny nodded and sighed as McGonagall walked off to tell Crabbe off for falling asleep.

Ginny looked at Blaise who was staring blankly at the blackboard. She had been pleasantly surprised with Draco's friends. She hadn't expected Slytherins to be so fun. Blaise was easy-going and always had a friendly word. Crabbe and Goyle, although notoriously stupid, were good for a laugh and even Pansy wasn't that bad when she wasn't clinging on to her with that soppy look in her eyes.

Ginny smiled, really all that stuff about Slytherins was wrong. They weren't cold or rude all the time. They were friends who cared about each other just like the Gryffindors.

Blaise looked at her and smiled, “What are you gaping at Draco? I thought Malfoy's never gawk at people.”

Ginny collected herself quickly and put a smirk in place, “We don't,” she said firmly.

Blaise laughed softly, “Honestly Draco” he said shaking his head.

The bell rung and Ginny said her goodbyes to the Slytherins who promised to save her a good seat in Charms. She sighed and waited for McGonagall to tell her off for not vanishing the badger. Ginny was desperately thinking of an excuse; she couldn't very well say that she was only a fifth year and could not do this kind of magic yet.

“Mister Malfoy” Professor McGonagall said sternly, “You will have extra homework for not vanishing your badger. I expected better of you Draco, and I've noticed that your over all grades have been dropping lately. It would be wise if you don't slack off anymore.”

Ginny nodded and left feeling relieved it was only that.

OOOOOO

Draco looked at his watch. Yes! Only five minutes to go of listening to that old bag drone about dreams. Why doesn't she just go drown herself in her damn pink tea-cup and do us all a favour, the old bat. He thought moodily.

Professor Trelawney glided over glittering from her many beads surrounding her. “Ahh Ginevra.” She paused and stared at Draco. “You seem different Ginevra. I sense an icy aura behind those fiery eyes of yours.”

Draco stared at her non-plussed, You really are deranged you know that, he thought in his head, but kept silent.

“Hmm never mind.” She said confused. “I could have sworn I've felt that presence before” she muttered to herself as she wandered off lost in thought.

Lyra looked at Draco. “What was all that about?”

Draco shrugged. “Who knows? The old bat's a crazy fraud. I wouldn't pay any attention to her.”

Lyra looked thoughtful but said nothing.

The bell rung and Draco stood up not able to resist the smile that came to his face. Finally we can leave this stuffy room.

OOOOOOOOOO

Ginny saw Blaise walking down the hallway looking preoccupied. “Hey Blaise where are you going?”

He stopped and looked at her, “Oh hey Draco I was just…forget it. C'mon let's go to lunch.” He said smiling.

Ginny frowned but shook her head. “I can't, I have to do something in the library. You go ahead. I'll meet you guys.”

Blaise gave her a quizzical look but nodded his head all the same. “Ok Draco, I'll see you later.”

Ginny watched Blaise enter the Great Hall and made her way slowly to the library. She walked through the doors to see Madam Pince glaring at anybody who dare disturb her lair, and made her way slowly to a table at the furthest corner of the library.

Ten minutes later she saw Draco come walking towards her.

“Oh you finally decided to turn up.” Ginny said angrily.

“Yes well I was trying to get rid of Lyra and Oricarn.” Draco said unapologetically as he sat down.

Ginny huffed and glared at him.

“It was only ten minutes. Now can we please get on with finding a solution to this?” Draco said raising an eyebrow.

Ginny sighed and nodded her head. “Fine. Where do we begin?”

“I haven't a clue but the restricted section seems the most appropriate.” Draco answered.

Ginny nodded and together they stood up, both thinking the same thing. The sooner I find out how to get my body back, the better.

A/N: Ohh review please. You know I love reviews.

3. Finding The Answer

Finding The Answer

Draco threw a book down and sighed for what Ginny thought must have been the hundredth time.

“It's no use. We are never going to find anything that allows people to switch bodies, besides the polyjuice potion.” Draco groaned in a defeated way.

“There has to be something! I refuse to believe I am stuck this way!” Ginny said agitatedly as she searched through mouldy old books.

“Face it she-weasel, we are stuck in each other's bodies.” Draco said gloomily.

“Oh well you're not exactly helping are you. All you've done is complain and act like a big baby!” Ginny snapped.

“So what. I just spent the day stuck with giggling girls and pretending to be a happy clappy Gryffindor. I'm not in a good mood.”

Ginny's nerves were already stretched and this seemed to be the last straw. “Malfoy if you don't shutup I am going to throttle you”

“Really Weasley control that temper of yours before I make you” Draco drawled.

Ginny fumed and Draco decided much to his dislike that he looked terrible when he lost his temper. “Weasley don't do that face again. It looks terrible on me.”

Ginny suddenly stopped fuming and went into a peel of laughter. “You're so vain,” She said between gasps.

“Yes well you've already ruined my image by not even brushing my hair properly” Draco said peevishly.

Ginny only laughed again.

Draco glared at her. “Oh shutup” he said annoyed.

Ginny stopped laughing and looked at him, her eyes brewing with amusement.

Draco sighed. “Look Weasley, I really don't think we are going to find anything here.”

“Wait. Malfoy I found it!” Ginny squealed excitedly.

Draco instantly sat up and leaned closer to read where Ginny's finger was pointing.

…Speaks of a strange magical power that allows two people to switch bodies. It is unclear how the actual phenomena occurs but the only way to reverse the effect is to…

“Where's the rest” Ginny said blankly.

Draco looked around the mouldy book. “The page has been ripped,” he yelled angrily.

“What do we do now” Ginny cried defeated.

“AHHH this is not happening” Draco screamed, finally losing his control. “I will not stay in your horrible body any longer!”

A third year Hufflepuff looked at them curiously.

“What the hell do you want you little runt!” Draco yelled.

The third year Hufflepuff squeaked and went running off.

Ginny frowned at Draco who looked at her innocently, “What?”

“Oh for goodness sakes” Ginny sighed, “Malfoy when are you going to act your age?”

“Excuse me?” Draco asked annoyed. “You see how you like being stuck in a female's body stuck with twittering girls and Potter trying to kiss you. IT'S NOT EXACTLY A PICNIC!”

“Ok, ok I get it.” Ginny sighed. “Just calm down.”

Draco glared at her, “Must be this hair rubbing off on me. I don't normally lose control like this,” he mumbled dejectedly.

Ginny glared at him but didn't say anything rude back. “Right Malfoy, I think we should try figure out how this happened to us.”

“And how are we supposed to do that?” Draco replied blankly.

“By going over everything that happened yesterday.” Ginny replied.

“I knew that” Draco replied.

Ginny rolled her eyes, “Alright where to begin.”

“How about when you woke up” Draco smirked.

“Shutup Malfoy” Ginny said pushing him slightly. Malfoy smirked but said nothing.

OOOOOOOO

Yesterday as Ginny saw it….

AHHH why does this always happen! I always sleep in! Never mind. Now where did I put that…. oh there it is.

Ginny sat up from underneath the bed and looked around frantically for her other sock.

“Ginny what are you doing?” Marissa said sitting up in her bed.

“Quidditch training” Ginny grunted. Like you care you sneaky little git. I know you want to get your smutty paws on Harry.

“Oh well good luck”

Pfft yeah right. You know you're wishing me de—EEK better hurry up before Harry gets really mad!

Ginny grabbed the rest of her clothes and sprinted out of the girl's dormitories.

Scrambling out of the portrait hole she began to run still trying to get her clothes on properly.

Must hurry, can't be late. Might get kicked off team. Ahh, as much as I love you Harry, why must you make practise early?

Thump

“OWW that hurt!”

Seems I've banged into someone. Quick you dolt apologise.

“What the hell are you doing?”

Hmm I know that voice….

“What kind of idiot runs around hallways with jerseys covering their heads? What are you some kind of mental?” The voice said scathingly.

Ginny pulled the jersey of her head. Knew it would have to be that git

“I was in a hurry.” Ginny replied.

“You Weasels really have no manners do you.” Draco sneered

Ahh how dare he say that. Quick Ginny thing of a clever retort

“Oh and I suppose you're the model of propriety?” Ginny replied with one eyebrow raised.

Yes that was good! Way to go Gin!

“Well Weasel. The rich can afford to be however we like. But you will be labelled common and vulgar. Two descriptions that I think have you in a nutshell.” Draco replied smirking.

Ouch that hurts, really it does. Slimy git. Hmmm bah who cares? I have to get to Quidditch no time for the amazing Ferret boy.

“Oh I would love to continue having this discussion. But you see I am late and you are in the way.” She said smiling amiably.

Ginny roughly pushed Draco out of the way and continued her mad dash to the Quidditch pitch.

oooooooooooo

“Sorry I'm late” Ginny gasped as she ran on to the Quidditch pitch.

Harry gave her a fleeting look and nodded his head.

Phew. I thought he was going to get angry. I mean the match against Slytherin is coming up and Harry's been a bit tetchy lately with the whole Quidditch thing

“Right let's go” Harry said.

Ginny pushed off on her broom and smiled as the wind whipped through her hair.

Feels good to be in the sky again

ooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Later that evening…

Oh no there is the great prick himself. Great what does he want this time?

“What do you want?” Ginny said tiredly at Draco who was leaning against a bookcase watching her with a smirk.

“Now Weasel what did I say about manners?”

Right that decides it. Malfoy is a royal pain in the butt and is this close to feeling the Weasel choke I mean Weasley temper.

Ginny contented herself by throwing her book at him.

Malfoy raised an eyebrow; “You know it is very rude to throw books at people.”

Ginny huffed. Stupid git. I hate you. Hmm, wouldn't you look nice being eaten by the giant squid.

“Leave me alone Malfoy. I'm tired and I have a lot of work to do.”

“Oh yes” Draco said smirking as he snatched a book out of her hands, “Err I'm sure Orlando the handsome prince and Hero the beautiful damsel in distress could not possibly wait.”

Ginny snatched the book out of his hands. “MALFOY GET LOST!”

Draco chuckled, “I only came to tell you that Snape wanted to talk to you.”

You pompous sneering idiot! Why couldn't you have said that in the first place?

“You could have told me that earlier.” Ginny said annoyed.

“Oh but that would have ruined the fun.” Draco smirked.

Git.

Ginny stood up and stalked past Draco with her head held high.

Why is he still following me?

“Snape told me to led you there himself. I guess he doesn't have much faith in your abilities to follow simple instructions” Malfoy said as though reading her mind.

“If you like your body the way it is I suggest you shutup.” Ginny spat.

Draco laughed but said nothing.

They walked silently down to the dungeons.

Yes now I can get rid of the slimy git

“Well it seems Malfoy, you can go now.” Ginny said sweetly.

“Finally.” Draco said tiredly.

Hmm when did he get so tired? He was being his little snarky self just before.

“What's wrong with you?” Ginny said.

“Well apart from the fact I had to endure your company for several minutes, I'm quite tired.”

“Oh yes I'm such an affliction. Please get over yourself.”

Draco looked at her bored, “You know Weasel, it would be great if you would just shutup for once.”

“I'm sure the whole world thinks that about you Malfoy” Ginny said sweetly.

Draco rolled his eyes, “Whatever. I'm going now.”

“Good.” Ginny said glaring at him.

Draco turned to leave but was knocked by Snape who came bounding out of the Potions room holding his face.

Ginny's eyes widened in surprise as Draco fell on top of her.

AHH the ferret is on me. Ewww.

“Oww” Draco groaned.

“GET OFF” Ginny bellowed.

Draco stood up holding his head.

Ginny felt herself swaying as she stood up.

Hmm so dizzy… What's that strange smell? Ahh! What's going on? Why do I feel so strange?

OOOOOOOOOOO

Yesterday as Draco saw it….

Hmm Oh yes I have to give that report to Snape this morning.

Draco took one last look in the mirror before nodding his head in approval.

Looking good. That Ravenclaw hottie is sure to fall at your feet, you stud.

“Draco shouldn't you be going?” Blaise asked yawning.

Yeah, yeah I'm getting there.

“You know Blaise. If you rush yourself in the morning you will regret it.”

Blaise snorted and threw a pillow at Draco. “You're unbelievable you know that”

Draco laughed, “I'll take that as a compliment.”

ooooooooo

Draco walked down the corridor thinking happily of the food awaiting him in the Great Hall.

When suddenly-

Thump

“OWW that hurt!” Draco yelped as something collided with him

What the heck, it's a jersey monster

“What the hell are you doing? What kind of idiot runs around hallways with jerseys covering their heads? What are you some kind of mental?”

The monster pulled the jersey of her head.

Oh it's a Weasel. No wonder

“I was in a hurry.” Ginny replied.

“You Weasels really have no manners do you.” Draco sneered

“Oh and I suppose you're the model of propriety?” Ginny replied with one eyebrow raised.

Hmph. So the Weasel has claws

“Well Weasel. The rich can afford to be however we like. But you will be labelled common and vulgar. Two descriptions that I think have you in a nutshell.” Draco replied smirking.

Take that Weaslette

“Oh I would love to continue having this discussion. But you see I am late and you are in the way.” She said smiling amiably.

What's she up to?

She pushed him roughly and walked off.

I'll get you back Weasel. Oh damn that report. Snape's going to kill me…

oooooooooooooo

Later that evening…

“Mister Malfoy, your report was excellent” Snape said eyeing Draco with approval.

“Thank you sir” Draco said in a bored voice.

“Before you go would you mind finding Ginevra Weasley. I need to have a word with her” Snape said not looking at Draco.

Hmm, what does the overgrown bat want with her? Oh well no matter I know where she'll be anyway.

“Oh and would you bring her back here. She seems to have problems following simple instructions.”

Draco smirked; Hehe Snape really doesn't like the little Weasel. This should be entertaining.

“Of course Sir.”

ooooooooooooooo

Draco walked into the library and saw red hair. Smirking he walked over and leant against the bookcase watching her

Hmm what's she doing?

“What do you want?” Ginny said tiredly.

Ohh someone is in a bad mood

“Now Weasel what did I say about manners?”

Much to Draco's horror Ginny threw a book at him.

Hmm this girl has spunk. No matter. Make her feel like the low-life she is.

Malfoy raised an eyebrow; “You know it is very rude to throw books at people.”

“Leave me alone Malfoy. I'm tired and I have a lot of work to do.”

Draco peered over at the `work'. She calls that work. Looks like a romance novel to me…just get a closer look…

“Oh yes” Draco said smirking as he snatched a book out of her hands, “Err I'm sure Orlando the handsome prince and Hero the beautiful damsel in distress could not possibly wait.”

Ginny snatched the book out of his hands. “MALFOY GET LOST!”

This is so easy. Weasleys are so diverting.

Draco chuckled, “I only came to tell you that Snape wanted to talk to you.”

“You could have told me that earlier.” Ginny said annoyed.

Well that is true, but then I wouldn't have got to annoy you. Wait, why do I even want to talk to her?

“Oh but that would have ruined the fun.” Draco smirked.

Ginny stood up and stalked past Draco with her head held high.

Hmm she's staring at me funny. Probably wondering why I'm still following her. Don't flatter yourself Weasel, I'm only doing this because Snape wants me too.

“Snape told me to led you there himself. I guess he doesn't have much faith in your abilities to follow simple instructions”

“If you like your body the way it is I suggest you shutup.” Ginny spat.

Draco laughed. I would love to see you try little weasel.

They walked silently down to the dungeons.

Ohh finally. I think I've had enough Weasels for today.

“Well it seems Malfoy, you can go now.” Ginny said sweetly.

“Finally.”

“What's wrong with you?” Ginny said rudely.

Hmm she seems peeved. Hehe maybe she thought I was enjoying her company?

“Well apart from the fact I had to endure your company for several minutes, I'm quite tired.”

“Oh yes I'm such an affliction. Please get over yourself.”

Yes you are you stupid chit.

“You know Weasel, it would be great if you would just shutup for once.”

“I'm sure the whole world thinks that about you Malfoy” Ginny said sweetly.

Like I haven't heard that one before.

Draco rolled his eyes, “Whatever. I'm going now.”

“Good.” Ginny said glaring at him.

Stupid Weasel. Finally I can go.

Draco turned to leave but was knocked by Snape who came bounding out of the Potions room holding his face.

Ahh what the? That's the second time today.. Oh no I'm falling.

Draco landed on Ginny with a hard thump.

“Oww”

Ahh crap I'm lying on the Weaslette.

“GET OFF” she bellowed trying to shove him off.

Like I want to stay on you anyway.

Draco stood up and looked around a strange smell wafting towards him from the open potions door.

Head is swimming. Feel sick…

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

“The Potion!” Draco and Ginny shouted looking at each other ecstatically.

“We found it!” Ginny said smiling.

“I can get my body back!” Draco cried happily.

Or so they thought…..

A/N: And I am sorry for the repetitiveness of this chapter.

The Inevitable

Draco and Ginny raced down to the dungeons to find Snape sitting at his cauldron looking particularly annoyed.

“Professor we need your help!” Draco and Ginny said breathlessly in unison.

Snape looked down his hooked nose at them and frowned, “What is it?”

“We need to know what was in the cauldron last night.” Draco said with a warning glare at Ginny.

Ginny didn't know why Draco just didn't tell him that they had swapped bodies but decided to play along.

“Yes Professor, we think we may have been affected by it since we were both in the vicinity.” Ginny said.

Snape looked at Ginny, “Draco it was merely a potion that causes the people surrounding it to fall asleep by its intoxicating fumes. I assure you, nothing will have happened.”

Ginny looked at Draco who looked crestfallen.

“No, it can't be. You must have made a mistake,” Draco said angrily.

“Weasley, unless you want points taken off you, don't talk back to me.” Snape spat nastily.

Ginny nudged Draco to be quiet and looked at Snape, “Thank you professor, that's all we needed to know.”

They left the dungeons quietly.

Draco looked at Ginny with an annoyed look. “What do we do now? Clearly it wasn't the potion.”

“I don't know Malfoy. But I think we should tell Dumbledore. He'll know what to do.” Ginny replied looking at him seriously.

“And what are you going to say?” Draco said turning to face Ginny, “Hey Professor me and Draco Malfoy switched bodies and we don't know how, so can you turn us back?” Draco said sarcastically.

Ginny rolled her eyes, “Well it's better then to keep pretending.”

Draco grabbed her arm and frowned, “Look Weasley. Maybe you haven't noticed but only dark magic can make people switch bodies. They're going to think we did something really bad and probably expel us.”

Ginny stopped and saw the reasoning in this. Why would anyone believe them that it was by accident? Sighing she looked at Draco, “Ok so what do you think we should do?”

“We need help, there is no doubt about that.” Draco said to himself, “Blaise would probably help us. He's good at finding out all that stuff.”

“Well Hermione can help us too.” Ginny said firmly.

“The mudblood?” Draco said sharply.

“Yes the mudblood. You know she is the smartest witch in our year, maybe even our school. I'd say she'd be able to find a solution to all this.”

“Fine. We get Blaise and Granger to help us.”

“Fine.” Ginny nodded.

“Now when should we meet?” Ginny mused.

“We'll meet during dinner. I'll get some food from the kitchens and we'll go to the unused charms classrooms and figure these things out alright?” Draco said.

Ginny nodded. “Maybe I should tell Hermione?”

“Weasley you are in my body. She won't go anywhere near you.” Malfoy smirked.

“Oh right. Well you tell her then.” Ginny said slightly embarrassed.

“Alright. Make sure you tell Blaise.”

“I know I know” Ginny said waving a hand as they went their separate ways.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Ginny found Blaise walking absently down the corridors eating a sandwich.

“Oh there you are Draco,” He said smiling.

“Blaise do you uhhh, want to come with me to do some study during dinner…. in an unused classroom?” Ginny felt herself blush. That had got to be the lamest thing she had ever said, but she really didn't know how to say she wasn't Malfoy to his best mate.

Blaise looked at her with an odd look in his eyes. “You want me to come with you to an unused classroom and do study, during dinner?” He repeated slowly.

Ginny nodded still blushing.

Blaise looked at her sharply. “Alright, what have you done with Draco?” he said menacingly and pinned Ginny against the wall.

“Nothing, nothing” Ginny gasped. “Please just let me go and I'll tell you everything.”

Blaise nodded and let Ginny go.

Ginny sighed and looked at Blaise. “You are right. I am not Draco. But I'm stuck in his body.”

“What? You serious?” Blaise asked confused.

Ginny nodded.

“So if you aren't Draco then who are you?” Blaise asked curiously.

“Ginny Weasley” Ginny said quietly.

“WHAT?” Blaise shouted.

Ginny winced, “I know it's hard to believe but I'm telling the truth.”

Blaise burst out laughing, and looked at Ginny with an amused glint in his eyes. “Out of all the people in the school, Draco trades bodies with you. Oh this is too good to be true.” Blaise said wiping his eyes.

Ginny huffed, “Yes well I'm not exactly enjoying myself being stuck in the ferrets body.”

Blaise laughed, “It really is you in there, isn't it Weasley?”

Ginny sighed and nodded. “I'm sorry I imposed on all of you, but I didn't have much choice.”

“It's alright.” Blaise said honestly. “So what is it you want me to do?”

“Well me and Malfoy were wondering if you would be willing to help us research a way to get our bodies back. We figured we shouldn't trust the teachers since they would just think we were playing with dark magic and expel us.”

Blaise nodded. “I'll help you.” He laughed again and looked at Ginny, “You're lucky you told me. I'll be able to help you be more like Draco now. So no one will notice, because it was very obvious you weren't Draco.”

“Was I really that bad?” Ginny asked anxiously.

Blaise smiled, “You were terrible. But don't worry, Crabbe and Goyle are too thick to notice and Pansy hasn't been talking to you much today. By the way, you better remember that date with her or Draco won't be happy.”

“How can he go out with such a harpy?” Ginny asked puzzled.

Blaise laughed, “Pansy is alright. She just doesn't like you guys.”

“Hmm” Ginny frowned.

“Well shall we go to class then?” Blaise asked smiling.

“Sure.” Ginny shrugged. “Soon it will be dinner and we can sort out this mess.”

OOOOOOOOOOOO

“Where is that stupid bushy haired mudblood?” Draco muttered as he scouted the corridors looking for Hermione.

He saw Harry and quickly ducked behind a pillar.

“Hey Hermione have you seen Ginny?” Draco heard Harry call.

“No I haven't Harry.” Draco heard Hermione say distractedly.

He waited until Harry left around the corner and quickly ran out. “Granger” He called.

Hermione turned around and looked at Draco oddly. “Ginny, Harry was just looking for you.”

“Never mind that,” Draco said pulling Hermione away from the rest of the students. “I need your help.”

“Of course I'll help Ginny.” Hermione said smiling. “What is it?”

“Well the thing is…I'm not Ginny.” Draco said looking at Hermione seriously.

Hermione laughed, “What are you talking about?”

“Me and Weasley somehow switched bodies.” Draco replied knowing how stupid he was sounding and how degrading it was to be talking to the know-it-all mudblood.

“You what?” Hermione said confused.

“I woke up this morning in Weasley's body. I don't know how it happened but it did.” Draco replied annoyed.

“You…you're Malfoy aren't you?” Hermione said shocked.

Draco nodded. “Weasley thought you might be able to help. And Merlin knows I'm failing miserably in pretending to be the she-weasel.”

Hermione looked at him sharply. “Well I guess I can help.”

Draco sighed with relief. Though he would never say thankyou to Hermione, he was grateful for her accepting to help.

“It's not like I'm doing this for you. I just don't think Ginny will be enjoying her time pretending to be you, or having you ruin her reputation for that matter.” Hermione said matter-of-factly.

Draco nodded, “I understand. And although I'm asking for your help, I still don't like you.”

“Well then for now I guess we can put our differences aside.” Hermione said putting out her hand.

Draco took her hand and nodded, “I guess… for now.”

“So when are we meeting Ginny?” Hermione asked.

“We're going to meet Weasley at dinner in the old charms classroom. She's bringing Blaise with her.” Draco replied.

“Zabini? That Slytherin?” Hermione asked scrunching up her nose.

“What's the matter Granger? Afraid of the big nasty Slytherins?” Draco asked smirking.

“Please” Hermione huffed. “I just didn't expect him that's all.”

“Whatever. We've got two hours before dinner. Make sure you aren't late.” Draco said waving a hand.

He spotted Harry walking towards them and quickly looked at Hermione. “Ahh Granger do me a favour and don't let Potter follow me.”

Draco mumbled a quick thanks and ran off.

Hermione looked at Harry and sighed. “Why should I have to do the dirty work?” she mumbled to herself.

“Hi Harry” Hermione said brightly.

“Hi Hermione. I can't find Ginny anywhere. Are you sure you haven't seen her?”

“Sorry Harry. I already told you I haven't seen her. Have you tried Ron?” Hermione lied.

“He's too busy snogging Luna to listen. I guess I'll keep looking” Harry sighed.

Hermione watched him walk away and frowned. Things were getting way out of hand here. How on Earth did Draco and Ginny switch bodies? And how was Ginny taking all of this?

Hermione shook her head. She figured she would just have to wait until dinner to find out.

OOOOOOOOOOOO

The unused classroom was a small circular room with desks and chairs piled everywhere cluttering up the space. Hermione kept giving Ginny awkward glances; she was clearly finding it difficult to be friendly with Ginny while she looked like Draco. Blaise was watching the situation with an amused smile and Draco was pacing up and down sighing from time to time.

“Ok now that we are all here I guess we should tell you two all we can remember.” Ginny said looking at Blaise and Hermione.

Draco stopped pacing and together him and Ginny recounted all they could remember.

Hermione looked at Blaise, who looked contemplative, and turned back to Ginny. “You think Snape could be lying?”

Ginny shrugged, “He may have been right that it was just a sleeping draught but it seems strange that is the last thing we can remember.”

Blaise looked at her seriously, “You'll probably find that is because you were knocked out. I saw Draco come into bed and he was still knocked out. I don't know if that was you then Weasley, but I would say Snape was telling the truth.”

Draco nodded, “Blaise is right. Snape wouldn't lie to us like that. It would be pointless.”

Hermione looked at Ginny, “I'm going to have to agree with Zabini and Malfoy. I don't think Snape would purposely do that.”

“You'd hope he wouldn't” Ginny said darkly.

Blaise laughed, “I know you hate him Weasley but he's not that bad.”

Ginny shrugged and looked at Hermione, “So what do you think might have caused this.”

Hermione looked at the book Ginny and Draco had been looking at earlier. “I'm not sure, but I will try and find more information on this. There will be a way to reverse it. We just have to find out how you got like this in the first place.”

Blaise smiled at Hermione, “She's right. We can't do anything until we figure out how you got this way. Are you positive you can't remember anything after being knocked out by Snape's potion.”

Draco and Ginny looked at each other; they both shook their heads.

Blaise sighed; “This is going to be harder then we thought.

Draco stood up and looked at Blaise, “No way! I have to get my body back!”

Blaise shook his head, “It ain't going to happen at the moment. I'm sorry Draco but you're stuck in Weasley's body for now.”

Ginny put her head in her hands, “So what do we do?”

Hermione looked at Blaise who nodded. “For now just keep pretending to be each other. I'll help Malfoy be more like Ginny”

“And I'll help Weasley be more like Draco.” Blaise said grinning at Ginny.

Ginny and Draco both looked at each other crestfallen. Things were really beginning to look bad.

Connected In More Ways Than One

Blaise looked at Ginny slyly, “Aren't you forgetting something?”

Draco and Hermione turned to look at her curiously.

“What?” said Ginny confused.

“Your date with Pansy.” Blaise finished grinning evilly.

Ginny choked on her food and looked at Blaise horrified. “I don't actually have to go on that do I?”

Draco clapped a hand to his forehead. “Oh I totally forgot about that. Of course you have to go. Do you really think I want you to ruin my relationship Pansy? Though from what I've heard you already have” said Draco angrily.

Ginny glared at him, “Well I'm sorry,” Ginny shouted, “You see how you like it when a girl starts trying to come onto you when you're trying to eat your breakfast. It's not something I'm used to.”

Draco rolled his eyes, “Yes well I can't say being snogged by Potter was exactly a thrilling experience. It's not like I said rude things to him so keep that damn temper under control.”

Ginny looked like she was about to go into another rant but Draco cut her off, “I don't care how much you complain you're going on that date whether you like it or not.”

Ginny tried to find an excuse desperately, “But I don't know how you act around girls on dates.”

Draco sighed, “You're a girl aren't you. I'm sure you can figure it out.”

Ginny looked like she was going to argue some more but Hermione cut in. “I think I can find a solution to this.”

“What?” Draco and Ginny both said in unison. They glared at each other and turned back to Hermione.

“You can use the esprit joindre spell to help you.” Hermione answered.

Blaise gave her an odd look, “Are you sure that is safe Granger?”

Draco and Ginny looked at Hermione cautiously, “What are you talking about?”

Hermione looked at them seriously, “Esprit joindre is a spell that will connect your minds. Basically it will feel like you and Malfoy are sharing the same body. You will be able to communicate with each other in your minds.”

Draco looked at her flabbergasted, “I will not connect myself to that She-weasel in any more ways. It is bad enough that I have to be in her body but being able to read each other's thoughts. No way!”

Blaise laughed, “Well I guess you won't care if Pansy dumps you.”

Draco looked speechless and Ginny rolled her eyes. “Look Malfoy if you care so much about your girlfriend you'll do it. I don't exactly want you in my mind either but it has to be done. Besides Hermione wouldn't suggest this if there was any way it could hurt us. Would you Hermione?”

Hermione shook her head, “I've read a lot about it and there are no side effects. The spell only lasts for a very short time. When the time runs out Malfoy will simply leave your mind and everything will go back to normal.”

“That's it?” Draco asked sceptically.

“That's it” Hermione affirmed.

“Let's do it then,” Draco said boldly.

“Are you sure you want to do this?” Blaise asked seriously.

“Why not?” Draco shrugged. “It seems it won't harm me so what could possibly happen? And I don't want Weasley mucking things up with Pansy. I'd never hear the end of it.”

Blaise nodded, “I guess.”

Hermione stood forward. “Ok you two need to face each other.”

Draco and Ginny stood facing each other; Ginny rather fearfully wondering what access Draco will have into her thoughts.

Hermione pulled out her wand, “Take each other's hands.”

Draco took both of Ginny's hands in his own.

Hermione nodded and raised her wand saying in a clear voice, “Esprit joindre”

Blinding white light shot from her wand and encircled Draco and Ginny's clasped hands. A strange sensation began to go through Draco's body and he felt like his spirit was being ripped from inside him.

Ginny opened her eyes and looked around.

What? A voice sounded in her head confused. Did it work?

Ginny looked around and saw her body staring blankly into nothing. I think it worked Malfoy. She thought.

How come I can see everything you can see?

Hermione said it would feel like you were sharing the body with me. I guess our spirits some how connected, so you can hear every thought I think and see everything I see.

This is so weird.

Tell me about it.

“Did it work?” Blaise asked looking at the now blank eyes Draco. “It's like he's an empty shell.”

“That's because he is.” Hermione said also looking at Draco. “He should be in there with Ginny.” She answered pointing at Ginny.

Ginny nodded, “Yep we're both here.”

Why do you get to do all the talking? Draco said grumpily.

Because I'm the one who is in the body normally. Now shutup. Ginny scolded.

“That's good.” Hermione said relieved. “I imagine that must have hurt a lot for you Malfoy.”

Oh no it felt like feathers. Draco said sarcastically. You stupid know-it-all mud blood. Could have warned me about the excruciating pain of having your soul ripped out of you.

“He said it's fine.” Ginny said.

What? It is not fine!

“That's good. Well you better get to the fountain. I expect Pansy will be there soon.” Blaise said giving Ginny a slight push.

“Good luck. And remember it will only last for one hour.” Hermione warned with a small smile.

Ginny nodded, “Thanks.”

I can't believe I agreed to this.

Oh would you get over it. It's only for an hour then you can go back to your own stupid body. And would you stop thinking. You keep giving me frights.

Sorry Draco said in anything but sorry accents.

Stupid git!

Hey I heard that!

Crap.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Ginny saw Pansy standing impatiently by the fountain, her dark eyes glittering in the starlight and her foot tapping distractedly. Her face broke into a smile as she saw Ginny approach.

“Oh Draco where have you been?” Pansy asked walking forward and looking at her expectantly.

She doesn't expect me to kiss her does she? Ginny thought horribly.

That is the normal custom Weasley.

Ewww I can't do that.

Then kiss her on the cheek. But don't stand there gaping like and idiot.

Ginny leaned forward and kissed her on the cheek.

“I missed you. Why aren't you talking to me at the moment? You've been avoiding me all day.” Pansy asked sadly.

“I've been busy” Ginny said quickly.

“Too busy to talk to your girlfriend?” Pansy asked quietly.

Ginny had no idea where this was going. Um what do I say?

Tell her that she knows you care about her. You just had a lot of things to do today.

Ohh. How sweet.

Shutup and talk to her.

“Pansy” Ginny said taking her hand, “You know I care about you. I just had so much things to do today.”

Pansy smiled, “I understand Draco. I just wish you'd talk to me more. We've been through a lot and I know you care about me but I still…I just wish things didn't have to be this way between us.”

Pansy you idiot what are you doing? Draco thought annoyed.

What is she talking about?

None of your business. Change the subject now. Draco demanded.

Huh?

“Draco,” Pansy began.

Please don't say anything Pansy.

You do realise I can hear your thoughts.

Oh go to hell Weasley. If you don't make her shutup I will hex you so you aren't recognisable.

But that will be your body you're hexing.

Shutup.

“Everytime you look at me it brings back those memories doesn't it?” Pansy asked sadly. “I see it when you look at me. You can still be happy with Blaise but with me it's always different. You don't have to stay with me because you feel obligated.”

What happened between you two?

I don't want to talk about it.

What do you want me to say to her?

I don't exactly want to be spilling my heart to you.

She's waiting for your answer Draco.

Tell her that she means more to me than I could explain. I know I've been distant… It's just hard to forget…Everything we shared was so hard on us both. Apart from Blaise she is the only person I trust. I don't want to see her hurt but I can't look at her the same. Draco paused, She's right…I do feel obligated to stay with her…

What do you want me to say?

Tell her I don't know how I feel. I just need time to think.

Ginny looked at Pansy in the eyes. “Pansy. I know I've been distant and I'm sorry. It's just so hard. I can't tell you how I feel…I need more time to think about everything.”

“I understand.” Pansy said standing up.

“Where are you going?” Ginny asked.

“I too need time to think about whether I want to be in this relationship. It's just so hard Draco. We put on brave faces but nothing will change. In order for me to move on…I don't think I can be with you.”

Ginny watched as Pansy walked away with tears glistening in her eyes.

I'm sorry Draco.

It's ok. I guess I kind of knew it was going to happen.

What happened?

What do you care?

Of course I care after hearing all that.

We had some fights last year.

That's it?

That's it. Now can we please get back so I can get back in my body.

Alright but you know I'm not stupid. You don't have to answer me if you don't want to but I know that's not all that happened.

Mind your own business Weasley.

OOOOOOOOO

“How'd it go?” Blaise asked seeing Ginny come in the room looking a little sad.

“You're early.” Hermione exclaimed standing up.

“Well it didn't go that great” Ginny sighed. “Hermione how do we change back.”

“Oh that's easy.” Hermione said standing up. “Finite Incantatum”

Immediately Ginny felt like something was leaving her. She looked around and saw Draco blink his eyes several times.

“I'm going to bed.” Draco said quietly and left the room.

Blaise looked at Ginny. “What happened?”

“I'll tell you later,” Ginny said with a pointed look at Hermione. She didn't plan on telling Hermione but she figured Blaise would know what happened. He was after all the only person Draco trusted, besides Pansy;Draco even said that himself.

“Alright. Well Granger. I guess I'll be seeing you around.” Blaise said nodding to Hermione and leading Ginny out.

“Bye Hermione. Thanks for everything.” Ginny called over her shoulder.

“Bye.” Hermione said watching them leave. “How strange…” she mumbled to herself before heading of to bed.

6. A Trip Down Memory Lane

Disclaimer: I don't own any of the Harry Potter characters or story.

A Trip Down Memory Lane

Ginny and Blaise sat themselves down on a seat in the Slytherin common room.

Blaise looked at Ginny with a worried frown. “Alright what's this about?”

Ginny proceeded to tell Blaise about what had happened on the date. She sneaked a look at Blaise's profile and saw the sad thoughtful look across his features.

“He wouldn't tell me what happened. Told me to mind my own business. But Zabini damnit I can't just pretend I didn't hear anything. What happened between those two?”

Blaise sighed. “I shouldn't really be telling you this Weasley. Draco would kill me if he knew but I guess in some ways you have a right to know. Pansy and Draco have been dating ever since their third year. They really loved each other but last year things happened that will probably scar them both for life.”

“What happened?” Ginny asked quietly.

Blaise closed his eyes. “It happened like this…”

Pansy looked up at Malfoy Manor and smiled as she saw Draco waiting for her. “Hey Draco, I hope you don't mind me coming to visit you?”

Draco shook his head, “It's fine.”

Pansy smiled, “Great. So how have your holidays been?”

“Alright I guess.” Draco replied half-heartedly.

“You seem sad. What's up?” Pansy asked squeezing his arm as they walked inside.

“It's nothing” Draco replied dismissively.

Pansy looked at him piercingly but said nothing.

They continued to walk through the corridors but were stopped by Lucius coming out of a door, “Draco I've been wanting to talk to you.”

Pansy thought she saw a flicker of fear in Draco's eyes.

“Yes father of course.” Draco said walking forward, “I'll catch up with you later. Just go hang out in my room or something.” Draco said to Pansy.

Pansy nodded and watched as Draco followed his father into the room. The door shut ominously and Pansy had the horrible feeling something terrible was going to happen.

She walked up to Draco's room and sat down on his bed, waiting for when he would come to tell her what had happened. She didn't understand why Draco would be scared of talking to his father but she figured whatever Lucius wanted to talk to Draco about it couldn't be good.

An hour later Draco came into the room and looked at Pansy. He looked helpless and seemed to be struggling to contain his emotions.

“What happened?” Pansy asked softly standing up.

Draco put his arms around her and held her close. “He wants me to become a Death Eater Pansy.” Draco whispered before burying his head into her hair.

Pansy sighed. It was what both of them had been dreading for the whole year. “But you aren't even of age yet.”

“Voldemort wants me to do a special mission.” Draco replied heavily.

“What?” Pansy asked frightened.

“He wants me to kill you and your parents for betraying him.” Draco replied softly.

Pansy looked at him with tears glistening in her eyes. “Why you?”

“Because he's a twisted old loon who delights in making people miserable.” Draco replied grimly.

“What did you say?” Pansy asked quietly.

“I told him to go to hell.” Draco replied pulling her close.

Pansy smiled and clung to him. They kissed passionately but quickly fell apart by a cold voice cutting through the air.

“So this is what you refused Voldemort's offer for?” Lucius said eyeing Pansy with disgust. “You're parents are filth and you are not fit to be in this house.”

“Shutup!” Draco yelled at his father.

Lucius looked at his son coldly. “Draco I will not allow you to do this to our family. This girl will be the death of you. No one survives betraying Voldemort. He is going to kill her and her parents as a warning to all Death Eaters.”

Pansy glared at Lucius but Draco pulled her behind him, “I won't do this. You can't make me father.”

“Don't you talk back to me,” Lucius cried angrily raising his wand. “Crucio.”

Draco fell to the ground writhing on the floor in agony.

“Stop it!” Pansy screamed.

Lucius looked at her coldly. “You've been a nuisance for too long girl.”

Pansy watched as Lucius raised his wand to her but he was knocked over by Draco casting a disarming spell.

“Pansy run.” Draco gasped as he struggled to get up.

Pansy shook her head and grabbed Draco by the arm. “I won't leave you here. Come with me Draco.”

“Accio Pansy” Lucius shouted.

Pansy soared towards Lucius and was instantly pulled into a death grip. “Now Draco,” Lucius hissed, “I'm going to make you watch your little girlfriend suffer. I will not tolerate such weakness in my house or by my son.”

Lucius aimed his wand at Pansy, “Crucio.”

Draco watched as Pansy shrieked out in pain. Her tears fell freely and she looked up at Draco pleadingly.

“Father no!” Draco shouted.

Lucius looked at him menacingly. “I am doing this to help you son.”

“You're crazy” Draco said disbelievingly as though seeing his father for the first time.

Lucius smiled and lifted the curse of Pansy. Draco watched as she sobbed on the ground at Lucius' feet.

“Join me Draco, or your fate will be like this trash on the floor.” Lucius said coldly eyeing Pansy.

Draco glared at his father. “Let her go.”

Pansy looked at Lucius fearfully. She knew as she looked into those pitiless gray eyes that she was going to die. He was going to kill her in front of Draco.

“I promised Voldemort if you could not do the job I would.” Lucius said coldly. He raised his wand at Pansy, “Avada-”

“Avada Kedavra” Draco said quickly pointing his wand at his father.

Lucius was too surprised to do anything. Draco and Pansy watched as he fell to the ground; the life dying out of his eyes.

“You killed him” Pansy said shocked.

Draco looked at her. His face was very pale and he dropped his wand and fell to the floor at his father's side. Tears were sliding down his face and he gently touched his father's cold cheek.

“Draco.” Pansy said softly.

Draco continued to stare at his father. Pansy stood up and put her arms around Draco holding him close to her. “It's ok Draco.” She said gently.

Draco buried his face in her shoulder tyring to block out the misery in his heart. Pansy looked at Lucius cold face and barely managed to repress a shudder. He was cruel and she hated him but she knew Draco had loved his father.

“Come on Draco. We can't just leave him here.” Pansy said quietly.

Draco stopped crying and looked at Pansy. He nodded and transfigured his father's body into a small bone. He had heard Barty Crouch Junior had done something like this to hide his father's body and figured he could use the same method.

Pansy and Draco walked out into the gardens and buried the bone in the rose garden. Pansy looked at Draco, “What are you going to tell your mother?”

Draco looked at her unemotionally, “Nothing. I'll pretend nothing has happened. She'll just assume he ran away…”

Ginny looked at Blaise horrified. “That must have been terrible.”

Blaise nodded. “It's taken Draco a long time to get over that. He's been much happier this year without Lucius ordering him around. He came and stayed with me the last summer holidays to get away from it all. His mother still doesn't know what happened. Only me and Pansy know the truth and now you do.”

“I can't believe it.” Ginny said quietly.

“Don't you dare tell him I told you” Blaise said dangerously.

Ginny shook her head, “I don't think I would dare mention anything.”

Blaise nodded satisfied. “You had best get some sleep Weasley.”

Ginny nodded and walked up to the dorms. Blaise looked at the dying fire for a minute and sighed before following Ginny to bed.

OOOOOOOOOOOO

Draco lay in Ginny's bed staring at the roof. His emotions were in turmoil over what he had heard on the date. Pansy wanted to break up with him and he didn't blame her. She was right when she said he couldn't be around her. It seemed every time he looked at her he relived the old memory. It tortured him and eventually he tried to avoid her or else barely talked to her; usually their encounters involved passionate kissing but nothing more. Draco had come to accept that he no longer loved Pansy.

“Perhaps this is all for the best.” He mumbled to himself.

Draco was still angry that Ginny had been the one to overhear the date. It would not do to let her know what happened. He didn't need any sympathy from the she-weasel.

Draco realised the absurdity in his situation. He was stuck in Ginny's body pretending to be a damn noble Gryffindor, which inevitably led that stupid weaslette to learn things about himself that he didn't want anyone to know.

“Curse this spell. I'll find a way to break it. I'll find that damn Granger and Blaise tomorrow and make them stay in the library till it kills them. I can't let this go any longer.”

A/N: I know there is no humour in this chapter but not all romantic comedies are always happy. So bare with me for now my lovely readers. As usual a review would be nice.

7. Tricks Of The Trade

Tricks Of The Trade

Ginny opened her eyes and yawned as she sat up in the bed. Last nights talk with Blaise had helped her a lot in understanding Draco, but that didn't change the fact that he was still unbelievably cocky and acted like a complete jerk to her.

Blaise looked at Ginny, while getting dressed, “Come on we've got a Quidditch game today.”

Ginny shot up and looked at him, “What?”

“Even you should know this” Blaise said grinning, “It is against Gryffindor after all.”

Ginny's mouth dropped open as she realised the full implications of what this meant. Not only would she be playing against her own house, but her boyfriend and her brother.

“You've got to be kidding.” Said Ginny blankly.

Blaise smirked, “Well let's go Captain.”

Ginny held a hand to her head, “I forgot Draco is captain of the Slytherin team.”

“Well you better start thinking up a plan for us players.” Blaise said with an evil grin.

Ginny glared at him. She knew Blaise was enjoying every minute of her discomfort. She only hoped Draco was having the same problems.

OOOOOOOO

Draco looked in the mirror with disgust as he tied up the long deep red hair. He was going to have to play Slytherin in the Quidditch finals. Not only that but Ginny was going to be captaining his team and probably make him lose. Granted she was an average seeker but she was no match for him or Potter. And he was going to have to be a chaser.

Draco sighed, “This day is just getting better and better.”

He trudged down to the common room and almost shuddered with horror as he saw the whole Gryffindor team standing around waiting for the last few people to come in.

Harry smiled at Draco and turned back to the team, “Alright. Slytherin have got no chance in beating us this year. You all know the drills, so lets just get changed and have a good game.”

The Gryffindors cheered and began to make their way down to the Quidditch Pitch.

Draco sighed and followed them dejectedly. On the way he saw Ginny and Blaise walking side-by-side talking. Ginny had his broom slung over her shoulder and gave Draco a small smile as she walked into the Slytherin changing rooms. Somehow this reassured Draco and it was with a more confident feeling that he walked into the Gryffindor changing room to get changed.

“Hey Gin, you gonna show us some of those moves you were practising?” Katie asked grinning.

Draco looked at her, “You'll just have to wait and see.”

OOOOOOOOO

“Blaise,” Ginny whispered.

“What?” Blaise asked curiously.

“Ummm is there anywhere I can get changed?” Ginny asked trying not to blush.

“Why?” Blaise asked with a smirk.

“Because I'm not used to seeing so many practically naked guys everywhere you idiot what else?” Ginny hissed.

“Wait till its shower time then.” Blaise grinned.

Ginny rolled her eyes, “You're lucky I'm in Draco's body Blaise, or you'll be regretting those words.”

Blaise merely smirked.

“Come on Draco. The match is about to start.” Crabbe grunted.

OOOOOOOOO

“And the Match begins” Luna said dreamily from the stands.

Instantly red and green clashed together in a myriad of colour. Katie Bell grabbed the quaffle and raced of towards the Slytherin goalposts, which were being guarded by a rather brutal looking Slytherin called Romulus Castrande. Katie lifted her hand to score but Blaise Zabini, the star chaser of the Slytherin team, knocked the quaffle out of her hands. He gave a cheeky smirk to her as he passed the quaffle to Theodore Nott.

Draco couldn't help grinning a little; still he wasn't going to just let this go. He may be competitive and want Slytherin to win, but to purposely lose a Quidditch game was not part of his code. So Draco sped of towards Nott and did a tricky loop as he swept under Nott's broom to take the Quaffle. Everyone watched as Draco speed towards the Slytherin goalpost with determination. He ducked and swerved the bludgers with ease and threw the quaffle hard into the ring behind Castrande.

The Gryffindors erupted with cheers as the first goal was awarded.

Ginny watched shocked. She had no idea Draco was such a good flyer. He would have made a decent chaser.

“Malfoy what are you doing? You're meant to be looking for the snitch.” Nott yelled as he sped past after the Gryffindor chaser.

Ginny jumped slightly and looked around. She sighed with relief as she saw Harry still searching frantically for that elusive glint of gold.

Blaise came up by Ginny, “We're ready for the plan.”

Ginny nodded and gave the signal to the other Slytherins. Crabbe and Goyle grunted in acknowledgement and raised their clubs to the bludgers so they could aim at chaser Dean Thomas who currently had the quaffle. Blaise, Nott and Warrington made a sort of V formation as they swooped towards Dean. Instantly he was hit by the bludgers, the quaffle dropped and Blaise grabbed the ball from within. As a flawless sequence they passed the quaffle to each other to avoid bludgers and opponents. Blaise caught the ball and flied up close towards Ron, who was watching their moves in a hawk-like fashion. Blaise raised his hand as if to score but threw it diagonally. Ginny who had been hovering by the goal hit the quaffle with the back of her broom that sent it flying back to Blaise who managed to score.

Ron let out an annoyed grunt as Luna's dreamy voice awarded Slytherin ten points.

“Oh come on that has to be a foul!” Katie shouted as she looked at Draco. “They used their seeker to help score a goal.”

Draco grinned, “I don't remember reading anywhere that a seeker couldn't accidentally hit the quaffle.”

Katie huffed and flew off as the game resumed.

Soon the rain started and people were becoming a blurred mess in the air. Ginny could still make out Harry's narrowed gaze as he flew around the pitch. She could see Draco speeding after Blaise as he made his way once more towards the Gryffindor goalposts. It seemed the beaters were now trying to hit each other, rather then helping their own team-mates.

“Malfoy you better catch this snitch soon. We're winning on 70 to 50. If Gryffindor get any more points they've won the cup anyway.” Warrington said as he came to hover by Ginny.

Ginny nodded, “I know.”

Blaise looked at her with misgiving. Would she really help Slytherin win? It all fell on her now.

Ginny looked around and saw the golden blur as it flew past her face. She wheeled around on her broom and saw Harry do the same. The commentary sounded muffled to her ears as she speed through the air after the ever-elusive snitch.

Harry looked at her and narrowed his eyes as he tried to outfly her towards the snitch. Ginny inwardly sighed. She knew she was no match for Harry but that didn't mean she wasn't going to try. She still had her end of the plan to uphold after all.

Looking at Harry squarely in the eyes she winked and blew him a kiss. As expected Harry was shocked and, much to Ginny's delight, distracted. Ginny was able to reach out her hand and snatch the snitch from right under his nose.

The Slytherins erupted with cheers as the game finished. Ginny looked around and smiled as she saw Blaise come speeding over. He grabbed her in a bone-crunching hug, whispering, “Thanks Weasley, we owe you won.”

Draco sat on his broom watching his team mates practically jumping for joy as they slowly descended to the ground. He smiled to himself as he saw Ginny congratulating the Slytherins on their flying.

Harry flew over and looked at Draco. “We lost. We actually lost.”

Draco looked at Harry, “It's only one game.”

Harry still looked dejected, as did the other team members. Draco sighed to himself. He was glad Slytherin had won but now he had to put up with a bunch of mopey Gryffindors. Really it felt like he had lost anyway. He wouldn't even get to celebrate with his team.

“C'mon team. Showers.” Harry said to the bedraggled Gryffindors.

Draco made his way to the ground and saw Ginny and Blaise waiting for him.

“Good game.” Draco said.

Ginny nodded cheerfully, “You could make a decent chaser you know.”

Draco scratched his head slightly, “Well you weren't so bad yourself. Mind you, I wouldn't normally use that tactic on Potter. He's going to think I'm a poof.”

Ginny grinned, “I wouldn't worry. He already thinks that anyway.”

Blaise laughed and Draco watched them angrily as they walked into the Slytherin changing rooms.

“Stupid gits.” Draco mumbled as he walked into the Gryffindor changing room to have a shower.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Hermione walked slowly down the hallway and looked behind her as she heard footsteps running towards her.

“Granger.” Blaise called as he saw her stop.

“Zabini.” Hermione said stiffly.

“I thought we might try to find some info in the library now. If you're ok with that?” Blaise asked smiling slightly at her protective stance. Honestly did she think he was going to pounce on her or something…. not that he wouldn't like to, she was quite an attractive girl.

“I guess.” Hermione said dropping her wariness slightly.

“Good.” Blaise said grabbing her by the arm and steering her of to the library.

“W-wait can I just-” Hermione stuttered as she was pulled irresistibly forward.

“I'm sure you can do whatever you need to do later.” Blaise said cheerfully as he dragged her into the library.

Hermione rolled her eyes and sat down. “Alright.”

“That's the spirit,” Blaise said with an annoying grin.

Hermione sighed. “Let's get this done quickly then.”

Blaise looked at her with a smirk, “You really need to loosen up Granger. Not all Slytherins are evil Death Eaters.”

Hermione jumped slightly, “I never said that.”

Blaise shrugged, “I know that's what everyone thinks.”

Hermione looked at him curiously, “You don't seem to mind giving of that image.”

Blaise smiled slightly, “Wanna know why?”

Hermione looked at him, “Why?”

Blaise grinned and lowered his voice, “Come closer and I'll whisper it. Wouldn't want everyone to hear our sacred Slytherin secrets.”

Hermione rolled her eyes but leant closer anyway. Blaise smiled as he leant towards her. The sweet smell of honey drifted to his nose as her hair tickled his face. On the pretext of whispering in her ear, he gently moved her hair out of the way and leant even closer. Softly he turned her face towards him and placed his lips upon her own.

Hermione looked at him shocked and pulled back. Blushing fiercely she stood up, “I uh-just remembered I left my book in my room. Um I'll see you round bye,” she said quickly as she ran out of the library.

Blaise smiled to himself. That was too easy.

A/N: Review please!

8. Misunderstandings

Disclaimer: I don't own any of the Harry Potter characters or story.

Warning: H/G at beginning, though I wouldn't really call it anything myself.

Misunderstandings

Ginny walked idly down the hallway. She was looking for Blaise, who had just run off. To her surprise she saw Hermione looking very flustered and muttering to herself as she walked quickly ahead. Ginny wondered what was wrong and decided to find out.

“Hermione!” Ginny called, jogging slightly to catch up.

Hermione stopped and looked at Ginny with wide-eyes. “He kissed me,” she said, still in shock. “He kissed me!”

Ginny looked taken aback. “Who kissed you?”

“That Zabini guy, Blaise.” Hermione said shrilly. “He just grabbed me and kissed me. What am I going to do now?”

“Woah, woah, slow down. Blaise kissed you?” Ginny asked with a grin.

“It's not funny.” Hermione said stiffly. “Taking of advantage of me…Oh I hate him!”

“What did you do?” Ginny asked, not able to keep the mad grin on her face. She found it hilariously funny that Blaise snogged Hermione, the uptight muggleborn who had probably never kissed anyone in her life.

“I ran away of course.” Hermione said, as though Ginny was mad.

“You what?” Ginny asked blankly.

“I-ran-away!” Hermione choked and then burst into tears.

Ginny patted Hermione awkwardly on the back, “Um why are you crying?” she asked confused.

“I don't know.” Hermione said hysterically.

“Get a grip!” Ginny said firmly and slapped her in the face.

Hermione looked shocked and then sighed. “Thanks Ginny. I really needed that.”

“I know.” Ginny said, and firmly took Hermione by the shoulder, “Let's go somewhere we can talk.”

Ginny steered Hermione off to an unused classroom, neither of them noticing the blue eyes narrowing in suspicion.

OOOOOOOOOOO

Ron peeled his eyes away from Hermione and, who he thought was Draco, and looked at Harry. “Did you see that?” he asked, looking like he was about to explode.

Harry nodded blankly.

Ron slapped a hand on Harry's back, pulling him closer into the shadows. “That's the second time this week I've seen Hermione go running off with Draco. And just the other day I saw her go running of with Blaise. But it's not just Hermione who seems to have gone mental. I also saw Ginny walking with Draco and they too went into an unused classroom.” Ron narrowed his eyes saying darkly, “And we all know the only reason people go into unused classrooms.”

Harry looked at Ron horrified, “Do you think Ginny is cheating on me with Malfoy?”

Ron nodded solemnly. “It's obvious. And he's clearly not satisfied with Ginny and has gone after Hermione too, the sneaky git.”

“We have to do something!” Harry shouted.

“Shh Harry. Not so loud. We have to go about this quietly. We can't have the girls knowing what we're doing.” Ron grimaced, “You know how they get when they think we're interfering.”

“But that's my girlfriend.” Harry said outraged.

Ron nodded. “Here's what we'll do…”

OOOOOOOOOOO

Ginny sat down and looked at Hermione sharply. “Ok Hermione. I know this is new to you. But honestly, you ran away?”

Hermione put her head in her hands and mumbled some incoherent words.

“What was that?” Ginny asked amused.

“I said I just sort of froze and then he was smiling at me and- oh Ginny I'm so embarrassed, but I wanted him to keep kissing me.” Hermione said, blushing rosily.

Ginny gave out a loud whoop of laughter and almost fell of her seat. Hermione looked at annoyed. “You don't have to laugh about it.” Hermione said stiffly.

Ginny nodded, “Yes I do. I can't believe you like Blaise.” Ginny giggled, which looked completely absurd, since it obviously looked as if Draco was giggling.

Hermione blushed and said, considerably higher then her usual voice, “I do not like Blaise.”

“Yes you do.” Ginny giggled, “You just said you wished he was kissing you still.”

Hermione, if it was physically possible, blushed even more, “He may be a good kisser but that doesn't mean I like him.”

Ginny opened her mouth wide and looked at Hermione with a shocked look. “Hermione I never knew you were so-”

“Oh shutup.” Hermione snapped. “I'm going back to the common room.” She stood up and began to walk to the door, but stopped and turned around, “And don't you dare say a word to Zabini.” She said crossly, and left the room.

Ginny nodded solemnly and waited until Hermione left before going into a fit of silent giggles. It was almost too good to be true that Hermione would fall for Blaise. She figured she would have to find out just what happened from Blaise. She didn't even know he had a thing for Hermione. Of course it did make sense. Blaise was intelligent, polite and good-humoured, which went well with Hermione. Of course he also had the sneakiness that all Slytherins possessed, but she figured that Hermione would get over that.

Standing up, Ginny opened the door and was immediately accosted by Ron and Harry, both wearing identical grim expressions.

“Malfoy. How nice of you to finally join us.” Ron said darkly.

Damn. Ginny thought to herself. This was not going to be pretty.

“What are you playing at with Ginny?” Harry demanded coldly.

Ginny looked surprised, “What?” She said startled.

Ron went red and glared at her, “Don't try lie to us Malfoy. I've seen you sneaking of with Ginny and just before I saw you go off with Hermione into that unused classroom. Enjoyed a good snog did you?”

“W-what?” Ginny said confused.

“Don't try play dumb.” Harry said angrily. “We saw you take her in there.”

Ron nodded darkly. “We see you all the time. You and that git Zabini.”

Ginny couldn't help it; she burst out laughing. “That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard all day.”

Harry glared at her and Ron looked like he wanted to punch her, “Why you-”

“Ron what are you doing?” Draco said coming to stand in between Ginny and Ron.

“Stay out of this!” Ron growled and pushed Draco out of the way.

Ginny smirked, “Why don't you tell her why you're trying to beat me to a pulp. I'm sure she'll find it just as amusing as I did.”

Draco looked at Ginny sharply and turned to Ron with an enquiring look. Ron shifted uncomfortably and looked at Harry.

“Well?” Draco said impatiently.

It was Harry who spoke. “Ginny have you been cheating on me with Malfoy?”

“Of course not.” Draco said blankly. “What gave you that idea?”

“We always see you two sneaking of together. Even Hermione was in the unused classroom with him just before. And we've seen Blaise with you too.”

“Do you really want me to say what we were doing?” Draco asked with a sly grin.

Ginny felt the small pangs of misgiving and looked at Draco warningly.

Draco ginned, “Well first of all me and Draco here were having a nice old snog fest in the classroom. And then Hermione came in so we allowed her to join us too. Oh and you know Blaise came too, so we decided to have a massive orgy. I'm sorry we didn't invite you. I would of, if I had known you would get this way.”

Ginny choked on her laughter and then quickly fell silent at Ron's furious look. “This isn't a joke Ginny. Tell us what you were doing with scum like him.”

Draco sighed, “Oh shutup and leave me alone.”

Grabbing Ginny by the arm he pulled her away, leaving a very furious Ron and Harry behind.

Draco stopped, when they were well away from the fuming duo, and looked at Ginny, who was still desperately trying not to laugh.

“How thick can you get?” Draco said shaking his head.

Ginny burst out laughing and clutched the wall to support herself as she practically cried with mirth. “You should have seen their faces. They looked so outraged.”

Draco couldn't help but laugh too. They really did look so funny, with their morally outraged expressions.

Ginny stopped and looked at him. “I can't believe they would think that both me and Hermione would be going off to snog you.”

“Hey. I resent that.” Draco said annoyed, “Just what are you implying?”

Ginny giggled, “Don't be so vain. You know we don't like you. Besides, Hermione fancies Blaise.”

Draco laughed, “What?”

Ginny nodded, “Yeah. He kissed her just before.”

Draco sniggered slightly, “I always thought he had a thing for her.”

Ginny sighed, “It does make things difficult for us though.”

“Why?” Draco asked confused.

“Because now Hermione refuses to go near him. She's too shy.” Ginny said simply.

“Well she can get over that. Blaise isn't going to attack her.” Draco said frustrated,

“Technically he already has.” Ginny said with a slight grin. “But that won't change the fact that she will no longer go near him, for fear of having her maidenly virtue stolen… or some such stuff.”

Draco rolled his eyes, “So while they battle their silly love problems, we're stuck in each other's bodies.” Draco sighed, “Do they even realise that Christmas is coming up and we will be expected to go home?”

Ginny shook her head sadly, “I think they're too worked up about their own tangled love lives. I just wish this whole thing was over.”

Draco nodded, “Tell me about it. You girls have it so tough.”

Ginny looked at him surprised and giggled. “No don't tell me.” She snorted inelegantly, “It's that time of the month.”

Draco blushed and looked the other way. “It's certainly not easy that's for sure.”

For the fourth time that day, Ginny burst into uncontrollable laughter. “Wow, this day just keeps getting better and better.”

“Shutup Weasley.” Draco said angrily.

Ginny choked back her laughter and began walking down the corridor.

“Where are you going?” Draco asked grumpily.

“I'm going to look for Blaise.” Ginny said with a smirk.

Draco watched her go with a bitter expression. He knew she was enjoying his discomfort in being a girl. He only hoped hers was just as bad in being a boy.

OOOOOOOO

Ginny walked into the library and saw Blaise leaning against a wall, a book in his hand and appearing to be completely engrossed in it. Ginny could understand why Hermione would fall for Blaise. He was extremely handsome in a way both Draco and Harry could never hope to aspire too. He had black hair, which was slightly curly and a very well structured face, which was slightly tan. His eyes, which were of a mesmerising forest green, held secret mischief but also gentleness. He dressed elegantly and his personality far out stripped his friend's; since he was both nice and funny, while Draco was mean and sarcastic.

Blaise looked up at her, as though he could feel her gaze, and smiled. Ginny thought she could fall in love with him herself when he smiled.

“Hey.” Ginny said, coming to sit down next to him.

Blaise placed his book down and looked at Ginny with a small grin. “I was wondering when you were coming to see me.”

Ginny looked at him surprised. “You were expecting me?”

Blaise nodded. “I knew Granger would run of to you. So what did she say?”

Ginny grinned. “I'll tell you later. First I want you to explain something to me….”

OOOOOOOOO

Draco walked into the common room and sighed as he saw Hermione. He walked over moodily, and collapsed on the couch next to her.

Hermione looked at him surprised, “I didn't expect you here.”

Draco sighed; “Yeah well…” he trailed off and stared at the fire. Neither of them spoke, both thinking about their own troubles.

A/N: This chapter is quite short but never mind. I hope you enjoyed it, and as usual, I expect a review.

9. Never Kiss And Tell

Disclaimer: I don't own any of the Harry Potter characters or story.

A/N: Thank you for your reviews, I appreciate them a lot.

Never Kiss And Tell

Ginny gave Blaise a business-like-look and settled herself more comfortably. “Ok so why didn't you tell me you had a thing for my friend?” Ginny asked, as if it was the biggest news since the school found out Professor Flitwick and Madam Sprout were dating.

Blaise frowned as though thinking over what he might say, “I guess because it was really none of your business.” He said finally with a grin.

Ginny shook her head, “Well Hermione told me what happened anyway, as you already guessed. So I want to know what made you do it. Surely you know how uptight she is?” Ginny asked, eyeing him beadily.

“What is this interrogate Blaise hour or something?” Blaise asked with an amused grin. “Well I suppose I could tell you. After all, it's not like I have Draco to confide in anymore.”

Ginny nodded and waited expectantly for him to talk.

Blaise was silent for a minute, pondering on how he should word it. “I guess I've always noticed her. She's intelligent, beautiful and speaks her mind. It's more than what the Slytherin girls do, besides Pansy of course. But I guess I didn't really give it any thought until we were stuck in that room together while you and Malfoy were of on the date of disaster.”

“What happened?” Ginny asked intrigued.

Blaise grinned, “I'll tell you….”

Blaise watched as Ginny walked out of the room, taking Draco's spirit with her. He turned his forest green eyes towards the girl who was in the room with him. Her light brown, slightly curly hair was pulled back into a bun, but he could tell it was very bushy. Her honey brown eyes were peering at the now empty body of Ginny.

He smirked to himself and walked over. “So Granger, how are we supposed to help those two?” Blaise asked, giving the clichéd manly pose as he leant against the wall next to her.

Hermione frowned and bit her lip slightly (very cute, Blaise thought to himself), “I don't know. I wish there was something we could do for them, but I have never read anything about this anywhere. Have you?” She asked quickly.

Blaise shook his head. “It's quite amusing really, it will be a shame when they switch. I'm quite enjoying the Weaslette's company.”

Hermione raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms. “Well I can't say the same for Malfoy. All he does is complain.”

Blaise laughed, “Yeah well, he's always been like that.”

Hermione shrugged, “I guess. I wouldn't really know.”

Blaise nodded and looked at her with an amused grin, “So what's it like being best friends with Harry Potter?”

Hermione frowned, “He's only a boy, just like you. I'd imagine it would be the same as being best friends with any other boy.”

Blaise looked at her thoughtfully, “I think I can understand that.”

Ginny smiled, “I think I see why you like her.”

Blaise looked at her, “Why then?” He asked with a small smile.

“Because she sees people for who they are and not what they are. You find that attractive because no other girl you know does that.” Ginny said simply.

Blaise laughed, “I guess you're right.”

“Of course I'm right.” Ginny stated firmly. “Now then as to what Hermione said. She's confused. I suggest you just let her have her space for a while, so she can get her mind around everything.”

Blaise nodded. “Alright.”

OOOOOOOO

Three Days Later…

“Hey Ginny wait up!” Harry hollered as he spotted Draco walking down the hallway.

Draco sighed and reluctantly waited for Harry to catch up.

“Why have you been avoiding me?” Harry said when he finally caught up.

Draco frowned. He really didn't know what to say. I mean, he couldn't very well say, `I'm not Ginny, I'm Draco Malfoy, and I don't like you.' So he had to think of some excuse for the distance he had put between himself and Harry. “I've been busy.” Draco said dismissively.

Harry grabbed Draco's arm and moved closer to him, looking straight in his eyes, “Ginny, what is wrong with you?”

“N-nothing.” Draco said startled at Harry's sudden closeness.

Harry moved even closer, and Draco was beginning to feel very uncomfortable. “Look Ginny, I don't want us to fall apart. I know I haven't been very attentive, but I promise things will get better.”

Draco looked at him horrified. Harry was getting quite sentimental here, and Draco did not want to be caught in this. “I-”

“Please Ginny, give me another chance.” Harry pleaded and kissed him firmly on the lips.

A look of revulsion came over Draco's face, as he thrust Harry back from him forcefully. “What the hell do you think you're doing?” Draco yelled disgusted.

Harry looked confused and a little hurt. “What's wrong with you!” Harry shouted back.

“Don't you get it?” Draco said angrily, “I don't like you!” Draco wiped his lips angrily and muttered, “I can't believe you just kissed me. Ugh now I'll have to wash my lips or something. Gross.”

Harry just stared at him blankly. “Fine. I've had enough. We're through Ginny. Why don't you go off to Draco Malfoy; it's obvious you like him.”

Draco laughed, “I might do just that.”

Harry glared at him and stalked off down the corridor.

Draco began to walk in the opposite direction all the time fuming over what just happened. `Stupid git! What does she see in him anyway.' Draco thought angrily. `He can't even kiss that good.' Draco laughed to himself slightly, `Wonder how she'll react when she finds out I made Harry dump her.'

OOOOOOOOOO

“YOU WHAT!” Ginny screamed when Draco told her.

Draco shrugged and tried to look unaffected by Ginny's obvious seething anger; he should know, it was his face he was looking at.

“I can't believe you made Harry dump me for your own selfishness!” Ginny shouted.

“Look it seemed like it was going to happen anyway. I don't know what you're so angry about.” Draco replied nonchalantly.

Draco watched as Ginny's face contorted with fury and suddenly she leaped on him.

“YOU-STUPID-ANNOYING-IDIOT!” She screamed as she tried to hit him.

“Ahh Weasley, get off. You're killing me. I'm serious GET OFF!” Draco shouted as he squirmed underneath her.

“WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?” A loud voice shouted from above them angrily.

Draco and Ginny both looked up to see Professor McGonnagall looking at them with complete shock and fury. Her nostrils flared and her eyes narrowed, so she looked positively hawk-like.

“This behaviour is not tolerated in the school. Fifty points from Slytherin and Gryffindor and both of you will receive a detention and will be serving it tonight in the Great Hall. I am absolutely disgusted.” Professor McGonagall said coldly.

Ginny quickly got of Draco and nodded. Draco stood up slowly and nodded.

“Good now both of you out of my sight.” She snapped and swept off down the hallway.

Draco gave Ginny an annoyed glance, “Thanks a lot Weasley. You just got us a detention because you can't control your temper.”

“Well you shouldn't have made Harry dump me then. I just can't believe you would do this. This is my life you're ruining.” Ginny said annoyed.

Draco raised an eyebrow, “Come on Weasley, you can't be serious in thinking that Potter was the best boyfriend. I've had to put up with him for almost a week now and I don't know how you did it.”

Ginny was silent. He was right of course. Harry was hardly ever around, always running off with Ron and Hermione to do crazy adventures and she was always the one left behind. Sure they kissed and went on dates but Harry always seemed preoccupied. It was almost as if he was using her as a distraction to his life and the problems in it. “Just leave me alone Malfoy.” Ginny said quietly.

Draco looked at her sad expression and felt something tug at his heart, was it pity?

“Weasley I-”

“You've already done enough. Please just leave me.” Ginny said firmly.

Draco sighed and walked away. For some reason he felt worse than when Harry kissed him. Was it possible he actually cared about the little Weasley's feelings? Maybe it was just the effects of being in her body for so long? Yes that must be it. Malfoy's did not care about Weasleys…right?

OOOOOOOOOO

Ginny sat brooding by the Slytherin common room fire. Her gray eyes stared into the smouldering flames, reflecting the anger burning within her.

The door opened and Blaise, Crabbe and Goyle all walked in with smug expressions on their faces.

“What's up with you Draco?” Blaise said as he came to sit down next to her.

Crabbe and Goyle walked off to go look at the new toy they `borrowed'.

Ginny gave a hollow laugh, “Malfoy made Harry dump me.”

Blaise looked surprised. “He did?”

Ginny nodded and looked at Crabbe and Goyle who had appeared to have broken the toy. Sighing she turned back to Blaise, “For some reason I don't feel as angry as I should.”

“What do you mean?” Blaise asked curiously.

Ginny shrugged, “I realise now he doesn't love me, and I know that I don't love him. I guess I felt obligated to date him. I've had a crush on him since second year but now I see that's all it was.”

“So it was a good thing he dumped you then.” Blaise said, watching for her reaction.

Ginny sighed, “I guess. I'm still angry that Malfoy made him dump me though. I should've been the one to tell him.”

Blaise nodded, “That's understandable, but hey, look on the bright side of things, you just got Draco to do your dirty work, and now you don't have to put up with the sulking and erratic outbursts from Potter.”

Ginny laughed, “I guess you're right. So uh, how's things with Hermione. I haven't seen her in a while.”

Blaise grinned, “Well-”

“Hey Draco, looks like your owls got a letter for you.” Crabbe yelled by the window.

“Oh.” Ginny said surprised. `I wonder who this could be from.' She thought to herself.

Standing up from the chair, she walked over to Crabbe and took the letter from the owl. It was in dark green parchment and felt very heavy. `Certainly nothing we could afford' she thought with a slightly bitter smile.

Ginny sat down next to Blaise and gave him a sly look, “Should we open it?”

Blaise shrugged, “I guess he deserves it. Sure let's open it.”

Ginny nodded and opened the letter. She didn't really care about getting Draco back. She just wanted to satisfy her curiosity.

“What does it say?” Blaise asked, as he leaned over to read the letter.

Ginny peered at the flowing, and very feminine writing. It said:

Dear Draco,

I know you wanted to stay with Blaise again these holidays, but I would like you to come home for Christmas.

Love Narcissa.

“That's it.” Ginny said, plainly disappointed.

“I guess.” Blaise shrugged.

“Oh shoot!” Ginny shouted and sat up.

“What?” Blaise said startled.

“I forgot my detention.” Ginny said quickly and ran out of the common room.

OOOOOOOOOOO

Ginny walked into the Great Hall to see Draco looking bored and Professor McGonagall looking very stern.

“You're late Mister Malfoy.” She said crossly.

“Sorry Professor.” Ginny said quickly.

McGonagall sniffed and looked at them both sternly. “For you're detention you are going to work together in polishing the floors of the Great Hall, with no magic!”

Draco and Ginny exchanged horrified glances.

“I only hope this will teach you not to behave in such a disgusting way again.” She said coldly and caused two cloths and bottles of polish to appear. “I suggest you start now, or else you will be here all night. I'll be checking to see what you have done later.”

Draco and Ginny watched as Professor McGonagall walked out of the Great Hall and immediately turned on each other.

“This is all your fault!” They said in unison

“My fault?” they said together angrily.

“Oh, blaming each other isn't going to work let's just do this.” Ginny said tiredly.

Draco scowled and picked up a cloth and polish plonked himself down on the ground as he started polishing the floor.

Ginny sighed and did the same, occasionally giving glances towards Draco, who wore the expression of someone who had just swallowed bubotuber pus.

Two Hours Later…

“Ok…. what's your favourite Quidditch Team?” Ginny asked as she looked at the stars.

Draco turned his head slightly from where he was lying and looked at Ginny with a smirk, “Easy. The Silver Tails of course.”

Ginny laughed, “Same.”

“I would have thought you'd be a Chudley Canons fan.” Draco said mockingly.

“No way. They're terrible!” Ginny said bluntly.

Draco smiled to himself and stared up at the starry ceiling above them. “I wonder how he did that.”

“Did what?” Ginny asked from beside him.

“How he made the stars come inside.” Draco said softly.

Ginny shrugged, “I dunno. It's pretty cool though.”

“Yeah.” Draco said absently.

Ginny looked at him from the ground and sighed, “Do you think we'll ever get our bodies back Malfoy? I mean the Christmas holidays are tomorrow and if we're still stuck like this, then we won't be able to go home.”

Draco shifted slightly and looked at her, “Hopefully things will work out.”

Ginny nodded. “Well I guess we better finish polishing these floors.”

“I suppose.” Draco said as he sat up of the ground. “McGonagall might come back again anyway.”

“Oh you're right.” Ginny said quickly and began polishing the floor.

Draco picked up his cloth and started polishing beside Ginny.

Ginny glanced at him, “You know Malfoy.”

“Yeah?” Draco said absently.

“When we get our bodies back, will you-I mean, we can still be friends right?” Ginny said quickly.

Draco stopped polishing and looked at her. “You call me your friend?” he asked curiously.

Ginny shrugged, “Well, I mean, me and Blaise have gotten quite close, and I wouldn't want me and you to go back to mindlessly baiting each other.”

Draco stared at her disbelievingly, “So you want to be friends with me?”

Ginny nodded, “Yeah…is that so hard to believe?”

Draco shook his head, “No. I don't think it is possible for us to go back how we were anyway. I know too much about you. I mean. I've been pretending to be you for almost a week.”

“So I guess we're friends then?” Ginny asked, holding out a hand.

Draco nodded and took her hand, “I guess we are.”

They looked at each other and laughed, neither of them noticing the teary eyed Professor McGonagall watching from the doors.

OOOOOOOOOOO

Draco walked into the Gryffindor common room and sat down next to Hermione.

“How'd your detention go?” Hermione asked, while she knitted elf hats.

“It was alright.” Draco said absently. He was still thinking of how funny it was when Ginny fell over after they had finished polishing the floor; after that, they had spent the next fifteen minutes sliding around on the floors.

Ron walked over and sat down next to Draco. “Hey Ginny, have you got your stuff packed?”

“Packed for what?” Draco asked slowly.

“We're going home tomorrow. Didn't I already tell you that?” Ron asked, his eyebrows almost disappearing into his hair.

“No.” Draco said bluntly.

“Oh well we are. Better get packing then.” Ron said with a careless grin and started talking to Hermione about bats.

`I have to spend Christmas with the Weasleys?' Draco thought to himself, `This is going to be awful.'

10. I Won't Be Home For Christams

A/N: I've been terrible with updating lately. I'm sorry.

I Won't Be Home For Christmas

Draco's morning had not been a pleasant one. He had missed his breakfast, and didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to Blaise or talk to Ginny about what she should expect at his home. Now he was stuck in a car, on the way to the burrow and probably going to have the worst Christmas of his life.

“Isn't this year going to be wonderful?” Molly was saying enthusiastically, “All the family is coming, even Percy.”

Draco scowled to himself, the more Weasley's coming to Christmas, the worst it would be.

“We're going to have so much fun!” Mrs Weasley cried happily.

So it was with great relief that Draco felt the car slowing down; that was until he saw the house he was supposed to be staying in…

The burrow was not exactly what Draco expected. The house, if you could call it a house, looked like it was originally one floor, and then people had come and used magic to add on rooms and floors when necessary, until it resembled more of a lopsided tower, than a comfortable home.

“Well, we're home kids.” Molly said cheerfully as she picked up the bags and walked off towards the teetering house.

Draco walked apprehensively up to the house and was immediately jumped upon by Fred and George, who cracked identical evil grins.

“Ginny, you're just in time for the fun!” George exclaimed happily.

“We left an early present for Percy.” Fred whispered with a mischievous sparkle in his eyes.

Draco looked at them warily and followed their gaze towards the pompous looking Percy, who was opening a present with a smug smile.

“We said it was from Fudge,” they whispered in unison.

Percy shrieked rather girlishly as a gnome fell out of the parcel. Draco watched as the small potato looking creature ran on its stubby legs out of the house.

Fred, George and Ron all started to laugh as Percy's face went beet red.

“That was classic.” Fred cried, as he wiped tears away from his eyes.

Draco stared at them blankly and turned to where Molly was glaring at everyone. “Boys, I want us all to get a long this Christmas. There will be no mischief here!” She said in her dragon voice.

The boys nodded and dispersed of their separate ways. Draco found himself standing in the room, wondering where on Merlin's name Ginny's room was and who these people's names all were. He could see someone with long red hair and a fang earring talking to another guy who was unbelievably freckled and tan, he new neither of them.

“Ginny, what are you doing just standing there?” The man with the long hair asked as he walked over and pulled him into a loose hug, “You should go put your stuff away.”

Draco nodded and walked up the stairs, trying to figure out which room Ginny's was. He let out a sigh of relief as he saw a yellow sign saying `Ginevra's room'.

“Thank goodness she's one of those girls.” Draco muttered and pushed open the door.

He cast a critical eye about the room and was slightly surprised. Ginny's room was decorated simply and reminded Draco of his mother's morning room. It was bright, inviting and comfortable.

Draco sat on the bed and smiled to himself, “Never did I think I would be in Ginny Weasley's room.” He muttered with a small laugh.

OOOOOOOOO

Ginny blinked slightly as she saw the large mansion that was Malfoy Manor. It's beautiful, she thought to herself, as she gazed at the gorgeous house that looked just like it came out of a fairytale. It was nothing at all like the dark, gothic mansion she was imagining. It had beautiful rose gardens surrounding it and she longed to walk through them, but if she was to be Draco, she could not act impressed by any of this.

Ginny quickly walked into the house and looked around the beautiful marble halls. A door opened and Narcissa Malfoy, in all her ethereal glory, walked out of a room and came over to Ginny with a warm smile.

“Draco!” She exclaimed happily, her cerulean eyes shining with joy, “I have wonderful news.”

“Oh.” Ginny said a little nervously as Narcissa gave her a kiss on the cheek.

Narcissa smiled, “Your Aunt has come to stay.”

“Aunt?” Ginny choked out.

Narcissa gave a worried frown, “Is something wrong dear? You know, I'm sure I told you Bellatrix was going to be staying with us.” Narcissa sighed, “If only your father was here.”

Ginny felt a sickening twisting in her stomach. She had met Bellatrix only once, and it had not been a pleasant meeting.

“You'd better go get changed then.” Narcissa said fondly.

Ginny nodded and stared at the many doors and halls. She had no clue where Draco's bedroom was and felt a slight panicky feeling seize her. Suddenly she saw a house elf creeping through the hallway and quickly called out. “Hey you!”

“Yes master?” The house elf asked, performing a very low bow.

“Take me to my room.” Ginny commanded.

The house elf nodded and quickly walked on its stumpy legs through the maze-like house to a large oak door. “Master asked to be shown his room, and Tinkle has shown him. Would you like anything else?”

“No.” Ginny said firmly and opened Draco's door. She gazed about the room and smiled slightly. It was very masculine, though surprisingly comfortable. “Who would have thought I'd be in Draco Malfoy's room?” Ginny asked the room and jumped on the large bed. “Ohh wow this bed is amazing!” Ginny exclaimed happily.

Two Hours Later…

“Draco, your aunt is here to see you.” Narcissa said from outside the door.

Ginny finished the last of her attire and walked out of the room. She noticed Naricissa looked slightly agitated and frowned. “Something wrong?” Ginny asked.

Narcissa shook her head and led the way to the dining hall. Ginny gasped slightly as she saw the tall figure of Bellatrix Lestrange; her long black hair falling loosely around her, and her elegant figure encased in a black silk dress. Ginny was surprised to see that her heavily lidded, black eyes were staring at her in an almost piercing way.

“Draco.” Bellatrix said harshly, “How about you and I have a little chat.”

Ginny breathed in sharply as she saw the intense fury in Bellatrix's eyes. What had Draco done to get such a look from his Aunt? Ginny wondered. “Of course.” Ginny replied.

Bellatrix smiled and walked towards Ginny. “I've just been visiting the Parkinsons, what a lovely girl that Pansy is, wouldn't you agree?”

Ginny suddenly felt a deep sense of foreboding as the Parkinsons were mentioned. She looked at Bellatrix curiously and suddenly remembered something Blaise had told her about Draco and Pansy. He'd said Voldemort had ordered Draco to kill Pansy's family, but Draco had refused and killed his father. Ginny stared at Bellatrix with dawning comprehension, was it possible she knew?

“Why?” Ginny asked simply.

“Well she was most helpful in giving me the information I needed.” Bellatrix said with an evil smile, “And I know your secret Draco. You killed Lucius!”

Narcissa gasped and fainted and Ginny stared at Bellatrix horrified. “I didn't!” She said quickly.

“Do not lie to me boy!” Bellatrix spat coldly.

Ginny flinched slightly and looked at Bellatrix fearfully, “What are you going to do with me?” Ginny asked in a small voice.

Bellatrix smirked, “I'm going to make you pay for what you did. You not only defied the Dark Lord, but your own father. Nephew or not, I shall make you suffer!”

Ginny gulped and stared horrified as Bellatrix lifted up her wand and began mouthing the curse…

OOOOOOOOO

Draco sat at the dinner table, squeezed in between Percy and Ron. He looked around the multitude of red heads and barely repressed a shudder as they all chatted merrily and dug in heartily to the food. His eyes alighted on Hermione and noticed her small smirk playing around her lips as she looked at him.

I bet you're loving this, he thought angrily, seeing me stuck in a house full of Weasley's and Potter. It had been a bit of a surprise to see Hermione and Harry turn up, but then he figured it was to be expected with his luck.

Draco noticed Hermione looking at him funny and looked at her curiously, “What?” he asked, “Something on my face?”

He realised that his voice was not its usual tone and frowned slightly. He then noticed that everyone at the table was staring at him with their moths wide open.

“What's everyone staring at?” Draco asked bewildered.

“WHAT THE HELL IS DRACO MALFOY DOING IN MY HOUSE?” Ron bellowed.

Draco stared at them and looked down at his hands, he was wearing his clothes and had his body back. “My body!” Draco cried joyfully and stood up too look at himself better.

“May I ask what is going on?” Arthur asked curiously.

Molly looked flabbergasted, Fred and George looked bemused and Percy appeared to have fallen off his chair.

“Malfoy?” Harry said confused.

Hermione looked at them and sighed, “Malfoy somehow switched bodies with Ginny. It looks like it's somehow reversed itself.”

Everyone looked at her confused and Harry looked as if he was going to vomit.

“You mean that Malfoy has been Ginny all this time.” Harry asked slowly.

Hermione nodded.

“Uhh, that's disgusting!” Harry cried.

Draco smirked slightly, as he knew Harry was remembering the kiss.

Hermione looked at Draco curiously, “But how did this happen?”

Draco shrugged, “I dunno, something must have happened.”

“Ginny.” Molly gasped, “You get my daughter back right now!” she demanded angrily.

Draco looked taken aback and looked at Hermione pleadingly. Hermione stared at Draco and suddenly got an idea. “I think I can figure out what happened. Come on!” She said quickly and pulled Draco by the arm out of the room.

“What are you going to do?” Draco asked.

“Esprit joindre” Hermione said quickly.

“I thought you have to be holding hands to do that?” Draco said confused.

Hermione shook her head. “I think because of the bond you and Ginny share it might work. Then at least you can find out what happened.”

“Let's do it.” Draco said firmly. He was a little worried about Ginny, and he kept having these weird feelings like something wasn't right.

Hermione nodded, “Esprit joindre!” She shouted.

Draco watched as the blinding light soared towards him and then everything went blank.

A/N: We're almost at an end. Only one chapter to go! (I think)

11. Rescue Me

Disclaimer: I don't own any of the Harry Potter characters or story.

Warning: H/G at beginning, though I wouldn't really call it anything myself.

A/N: Ahem, ok here is the changed chapter. Sorry for the confusion.

Rescue Me

“Ginny!” Draco shouted.

He looked around but could see nothing but black. Ginny was not responding and Draco began to fear the worse.

“GINNY!” Draco yelled, “Can you hear me?”

No answer.

“Please say something. Please don't be dead.” Draco cried desperately. It would be his entire fault if she had been killed.

“Please…”

OOOOOOOOO

Harry stared at Hermione who was looking worriedly at Draco, “Why didn't you tell us this sooner?” he asked angrily.

Hermione turned her honey brown eyes on him and frowned, “Because they didn't want me to. Me and Blaise were trying to find a way to turn them back.”

“Blaise?” Harry said in a choked voice, “Since when did you get on first-name terms with the Slytherins?”

Hermione stared at him shocked, “He's not that bad, not like the others anyway.” Hermione frowned, “Why are you so angry anyway?”

Harry could only stare at her, “What haven't I got to be angry about? And why the hell is Malfoy just standing there?”

“His soul has been transported.” Hermione said matter-of-factly.

“What?” Harry said confused, and walked over to where Draco's blank face stared. He waved his hand energetically in front of Draco's face and frowned when Draco did nothing, “How strange. What's he doing?”

Hermione looked at Harry, “He should have gone to Ginny's body. He wants to find out what happened.”

“Oh.” Harry said confused as he looked at her.

Hermione sighed, “I just hope Ginny's ok. I don't understand how they could have just changed back like that.”

Harry stared at the blank Draco and looked back at Hermione, “She'll be fine.”

OOOOOOOOOOOO

Ginny opened her eyes groggily. She felt dizzy and her body ached all over. She realised she must be in a dungeon of some sort, as the walls were all made of stone and a small drip fell from the ceiling which fell on her cheek. She tried to move but her hands were chained.

“Wait a minute.” Ginny muttered. She looked up at her very feminine looking hands and then glanced down. “Oh thank Merlin, I have boobs again!” Ginny declared, and she never thought she would ever hear herself say that.

“Ginny! You're ok!” Draco exclaimed relieved.

“Huh?” Ginny muttered out loud, “I could have sworn I heard Draco's voice…”

“You did. It's the Esprit joindre spell.” Draco said quickly.

“So you're in my head?” Ginny asked.

“That's right. But what happened, how did we change back?” Draco asked curiously.

“I don't know,” Ginny said confused, “The last thing I remember is your Aunt cursing me.”

“Why would she do that? What happened?” Draco asked anxiously.

“They found out about you killing your dad.” Ginny said softly.

“How did you-”

“Blaise told me,” Ginny cut in, “You can yell at him later, I think someone is coming.”

The door opened and Bellatrix sneered down at Ginny through mocking black eyes. A surge of hatred shot through Ginny, and she realised that Draco's feelings were taking control.

“I see you're finally awake.” Bellatrix sneered and walked in, shutting the door behind her. “Imagine my surprise to find out that when I used Legimens on you, you were not Draco but that Weasley brat.”

Ginny glared at Bellatrix, “Well that's how she found out.” Ginny thought annoyed.

“You'd better be careful. She's completely mental.” Draco said firmly.

“Draco, so nice of you to join me.” Bellatrix said coldly as she gazed into Ginny's eyes.

“She's using Legimens on you. You have to block your mind.” Draco said earnestly.

“I don't know how!” Ginny cried desperately, as she felt the penetrating glare searching her mind.

“Don't bother.” Bellatrix said coldly, “The girl is weak, she's much too passionate to be able to block her mind, you should know that Draco.” She sneered.

“What do you want from me?” Ginny asked angrily.

Bellatrix laughed, “You? I don't want anything from you, you're simply my bait.” She said nastily.

“What does she mean?” Draco said apprehensively.

“I know you can hear me Draco,” Bellatrix said coolly, “So listen well. You have five minutes to get here, or else your little girlfriend dies.”

“Draco?” Ginny said fearfully.

“It's ok, I'm coming to get you Ginny. Just be careful.” Draco said reassuringly.

Ginny felt the feelings of intrusion leave, as Draco returned to his own body. She looked up at Bellatrix's sneering face warily. `Oh Draco, please hurry!' She thought to herself.

OOOOOOOOOOOOO

Draco opened his eyes to see Hermione peering at him worriedly. “Ahh, good Merlin, what the hell are you doing?” Draco yelled.

Hermione frowned, “I was just-”

Harry and Ron quickly rushed into the room, attracted to Draco's yells. “What's going on here?” Ron said angrily.

Draco pushed past them and walked to his bag, pulling out his wand determinedly.

“What are you doing?” Hermione asked him.

“My aunt has Ginny captive. She's going to kill her if I don't go there.” He said angrily. “I have to save her!”

Harry put a hand on Draco's arm, “Wait, how do we know you're not just setting this up? How do we know you aren't going to use her for Voldemort?”

“What the hell is wrong with you?” Draco shouted, “Ginny might be dying, I don't care if you don't trust me! I don't really care about any of you! But I will not let Ginny be killed! So get the hell out of my way before I curse you!” Draco said firmly, his wand pointed at Harry's face.

“STOP THIS!” Hermione shouted. “Draco just go,” she said quickly, as she held Harry back from attacking Draco.

Draco nodded and disapparated from the room.

“I can't believe you just let him go.” Harry said angrily.

“He's the only one who can save her Harry. For once would you just let your prejudice go and see that Draco likes her!” Hermione said angrily, “He's not about to let her get hurt.”

“What are you talking about?” Ron said confused, “How can Malfoy like Ginny?”

Hermione sighed, “I talked to him and I can tell you, the expression he got when he talked about her, it was of admiration, sometimes annoyance, but mostly fondness. Even if they were in each other's bodies, they learnt more about each other and I think, if I'm not mistaken, Draco likes her, maybe even loves her.”

“So you think we should trust him?” Harry asked defeated.

Hermione nodded, “He'll save her, don't you worry about that.”

OOOOOOOOOOO

Draco opened his eyes and immediately saw Ginny chained to the wall. Her long, deep red hair, twisting around her like blood, her chestnut eyes looking frightened and yet determined all the same.

“Ginny!” Draco exclaimed and ran over. “Alohomora,” He said quickly to the chains, which fell away from the wall, releasing her. “You ok?” he asked concerned, as he took her small hands in his.

Ginny looked behind him in fear, and Draco turned his head to see Bellatrix, leaning against the wall, a small smile curling her lip as she gazed upon them.

“Aunt” Draco said coldly, as he stood up to face her.

“Draco, you've been making quite a spectacle of yourself, fawning over a Weasley.” Bellatrix said with a cruel smile at Ginny.

“That's none of your business. What do you want?” he asked angrily.

“I've come on Voldemort's orders to kill you.” Bellatrix said with a twisted smile, “You murdered Lucius, and he wants revenge. I gladly will give him the satisfaction.”

“You're mental you know that?” Ginny said disbelievingly.

“Shutup, you disgusting filth!” Bellatrix spat nastily.

Draco pushed Ginny behind him slightly and looked at Bellatrix warily, “So you're going to kill me. Well, that's too bad, because I really don't want to die just yet. I mean, I'm still young, got my whole life ahead of me, plus think of all the girls” Draco said in despairing tones, “They'll all go into a decline, and then where will we be?”

Bellatrix stared at him incredulously, “Stop this ridiculous behaviour right now. Don't you get it? I'm going to kill you.”

“Well you haven't done anything yet, except bore me to tears.” Draco said lazily.

“Why you insolent little whelp!” Bellatrix screamed and sent a curse, which Draco dodged, pulling Ginny to the ground with him. “Run,” He whispered in her ear, “I can't promise that I'll be able to hold her off for long.”

Ginny looked at him with a frightened look, and realised that for all his words, Draco really was worried. “I can't just leave you here.” Ginny whispered back.

Draco stood up and looked at Bellatrix, “You know I've killed before, what's to stop me from killing you too?” He looked at Ginny quickly, pleading her to go, but she shook her head.

“You can't kill me Draco.” Bellatrix said coldly.

Draco laughed slightly and drew out his wand.

Ginny watched, horrified, as Bellatrix sent a jet of purple light towards Draco. He had no time to react and she screamed as the blast hit him square in the chest. She saw his silver eyes widen in surprise, and then he fell back gracefully to the ground.

“DRACO!” Ginny screamed as she scrambled up of the ground. She glared at Bellatrix with intense rage, bellowing at the top of her lungs a curse that had been feared by all, the infamous bat bogey hex.

Bellatrix screamed as a swarm of great flapping things smothered her face. Ginny grabbed Draco by the arm and not even knowing what she was doing, disapparated from the room.

She felt her body splitting and incredible pain, as the world pressurised around her. All the time she held Draco to her, not even daring to look at his face, for fear of what she might see.

She felt her body hit the ground, with a loud thud, and gasped slightly as the world righted became normal. Looking around wildly, she saw Draco's body sprawled out on the grass; not even bothering to wonder where she was, she scrambled over and turned his body to face her.

His pale face was expressionless and his eyes were shut, he was just so still, and silent. Ginny ran a hand down his pale cheek and brushed the pale blonde hair out of his face. “Draco?” She said slowly, “Draco, wake up.” She said a little louder. A tear trailed down her cheek as she looked at him, “Please wake up! Don't leave me here.”

Ginny buried her face into his chest and cried. Just when they were beginning to become friends, this happens. Now she would never know what would have become of them. She hated to admit it but she was beginning to really like him, despite his egotistical and annoying ways. She couldn't help but feel attracted to him, after all, she knew so much about him.

“You idiot,” She sobbed, “Why did you have to be noble? I thought you were a Slytherin, you don't do things like that.”

“Never thought a Weasley would cry over a Malfoy.” A voice drawled lazily.

Ginny lifted up her tear-stained face and saw Draco's cool gray eyes watching her. “You're alive?” She exclaimed.

Draco nodded and gasped as Ginny leapt on him and started hitting him. “Don't you ever do that again! I thought you were dead,” She sobbed, still pounding him with her fists, “And you sit there joking about this. Don't you ever scare me like that again!”

Draco grabbed Ginny's arms and held her close to him, “Shh, it's ok, alright?” he said gently.

Ginny only clutched him tighter, “I was so scared.” She choked.

Draco sighed, “Don't worry, everything is ok now.”

Ginny looked up at him, “What do you think happened to Pansy?”

“What do you mean?” Draco said confused, “What about her?”

“Bellatrix said that she talked with Pansy, and that was how she found out about Lucius.” Ginny said sadly.

Draco frowned, “But the Parkinsons returned to the Dark Lord. They didn't want to be murdered and so they came back to him. Pansy must have betrayed me.” Draco said angrily.

Ginny looked at him surprised, “But she wouldn't do that, would she?”

Draco shook his head, “I don't know.” He sighed and helped Ginny to her feet, “C'mon, I've got to take you back to your family, before they go nuts and try save you.”

Ginny laughed and allowed him to pull her close to him as they disapparated.

OOOOOOOOOO

“That's it!” Ron shouted, “I can't take this anymore! I have to get her!”

“Ron calm down,” Hermione said earnestly, “Please think about what you're doing.”

“I can't just sit here while my-” Ron broke off as Draco and Ginny materialised in the room, holding on to each other. “What do you think you're doing with my sister?” He yelled angrily.

Draco stepped back from Ginny and looked at Ron, “I'm not doing anything,” he looked at Ginny and gave her a small smile, “See you at school then.”

“You're going?” Ginny asked, surprise evident in her voice.

Draco nodded, shooting a nasty look at Ron and Harry, “I don't think I can bare to be stuck with them for my holidays, so I'm going to go see Blaise. I'll see you round.” He nodded to Hermione and promptly disapparated.

“Thanks a lot Ron.” Ginny said moodily and stomped up to her bedroom.

Ron looked at Hermione confused, “What was that all about?”

Hermione sighed, “Don't you see? Ginny wanted to talk to him, but you had to go open your big mouth. I don't blame Malfoy in leaving, who would want to put up with you snipping at them every few minutes.”

“I do not snip at people.” Ron said offended.

Hermione rolled her eyes and walked out of the room, leaving Ron and Harry to gossip about Malfoy and Ginny to their hearts content.

She walked up to Ginny's room and knocked on the door.

“Who is it?” She heard Ginny's muffled voice ask.

“It's me, Hermione.”

Ginny opened the door and let Hermione into the room. “What's up?” She asked Hermione, as she sat on the bed.

Hermione regarded her and laughed, “Don't give me that Ginny, what happened?”

Ginny sighed, “I don't know if I can tell you. It's Draco's personal matters, and I don't think he'd be very happy to know I told you.”

Hermione nodded, “Alright. Do you know how you changed back?”

Ginny shook her head, “I'm still confused about that, maybe Bellatrix did something?”

Hermione frowned, “Perhaps.” She said contemplatively.

Ginny sighed, “Well in any case, everything is back to normal.”

Hermione nodded, “That's right.”

Ginny frowned to herself, she wondered if Draco would still want to talk to her. He had said, he'd see her at school, so maybe they would still be friends? She hoped so; she couldn't bare them to go back to how they were now. She'd had so many good experiences being Draco Malfoy: getting to know Blaise, Crabbe and Goyle, winning Quidditch, and most of all, getting over her prejudice about Draco and becoming his friend. She wouldn't change any of it; even if she was almost killed by his Aunt.

“Ginny why are you looking at me so strange?” Hermione asked confused.

Ginny jumped and realised she had been gazing blankly at Hermione. “Sorry, just thinking.” She said quickly.

Hermione frowned and left Ginny to her musings.

A/N: Sorry for everyone who actually liked my ending, but I needed to fix this up. I should have the next chapter done soon. I hope you aren't too annoyed at me, lol.

A/N: Again, sorry for the confusion!

Normal Life?

The next few days were spent in a very tense atmosphere for Ginny. Harry avoided her like the plague, and Ron would start grinding his teeth whenever she walked past; he was still remembering the Quidditch match that Ginny had won for Slytherin. Mrs Weasley kept fussing over Ginny, and because Bill, Percy and Charlie had gone off, it was just Fred and George who bothered to talk to her; only they kept asking her stupid questions about Malfoy, until she wished they would just leave her alone too. The only person who she could find any sanity with was Hermione, though even she seemed tense, but maybe that was because she was worried about seeing Blaise again?

Ginny sighed and stared at her calendar; tomorrow she would go back to Hogwarts, and then she would know where she stood with Draco and the Slytherins. It was going to be weird talking to him when she was herself; she was so used to looking down at him, but now she would have to look up. “Things are going to be so complicated,” she muttered to herself and rolled over on the bed to go to sleep, flicking the light out lazily with her wand.

OOOOOOOOOO

“GINNY GET OUT OFF BED!” Mrs Weasley screeched.

Ginny clamped her hands over her ears and raised her head warily to see Mrs Weasley holding a wooden spoon and looking furious, “You're going to make us late, we told you to get up hours ago!”

Ginny stuck one leg out of bed and stood up, “Sorry mum.”

“Don't you `sorry mum me', young lady. Now get dressed quickly, we have to be leaving in ten minutes!” Mrs Weasley said firmly and stomped out of the room.

Ginny sighed and grabbed her things, chucking any old clothes on; she was too worried about seeing Draco again to really think about what she was wearing.

Slowly she dawdled down the stairs to the kitchen.

“Hey Gin, Dad's got breakfast in the car.” Fred said cheerfully; it seemed like everyone was running late today.

Harry brushed past her as he went to go put his stuff in the trunk. Ginny looked around and noticed Hermione looking agitated. `Well at least someone is as nervous as me,' she thought relieved.

“Time to go” Mrs Weasley said bossily and shooed everyone into the car.

Ginny took one last look at the burrow before the car took off, taking her to Hogwarts, and Draco.

OOOOOOOOOO

All too soon the gray stonewalls of Hogwarts loomed before her. She gazed at the gates and jumped slightly as Ron nudged her, “What are you waiting for Ginny? Let's go!”

Ginny nodded and walked through the gates. Her eyes automatically searched for the pale-blonde hair that would lead her to Draco, but she could not see him.

“C'mon Ginny,” Hermione said firmly, “Let's go take our stuff up.”

Ginny nodded and followed Hermione up to the Gryffindor tower, all the while keeping her eyes open for any sign of Draco.

OOOOOOOOOOOO

Later that day…

“Just go talk to her!” Blaise urged from sitting on the leather armchairs.

Draco ran a hand through his hair and looked at Blaise, “It's not as easy as that. I don't see you running to talk to Granger.”

Blaise laughed, “That's different. I kissed her, and she's too embarrassed to talk to me. You, on the other hand, have no excuse.”

Draco looked at Blaise incredulously, “I almost got her killed, not to mention I've been in her body for over a week. Don't you get it?” Draco said frustrated, “I know everything there is to know about her. Hell, I've seen her naked and everything.” Draco said running his hands through his hair again in agitation, coming back into his male body, brought back all the male thoughts that came with it.

“So what?” Blaise said dismissively, “You should have nothing to worry about then.”

Draco rolled his eyes, “Whatever, I'm going for a walk.”

Blaise smirked and watched him walk out of the dungeons.

OOOOOOOOOOOOO

Ginny walked down the Hallway with Lyra feeling slightly annoyed. Her friends were wondering why she had been acting so distant for the past weeks. They accused her of liking Hermione more than them and Ginny had had enough of hearing their complaints.

“Look I'm sorry ok?” She said to Lyra, “I've just had a lot going on right now.”

“Oh yeah, like what?” Lyra asked angrily.

“She's been busy with me.” Draco said, rasing an eyebrow at Lyra.

Ginny watched amused, as Lyra blushed and stammered something unintelligible, which sounded suspiciously like “Figures, she'd go with someone like him.”

Draco merely smirked and took Ginny by the arm, “Well goodbye Rosedale.” He said dismissively and steered Ginny away from her fuming friend.

“You know that was very rude,” Ginny reprimanded, though she couldn't stop the small smile that crept to her lips.

“Well she was the one who started it,” Draco said innocently, “She's too nosy for her own good.”

Ginny laughed, it was true that her friends were nosy and didn't know when to keep their mouths shut. “Even still, I've got a lot to complain to you about.”

Draco smirked, “Oh yes, I managed to get your boyfriend to dump you, your friends to hate you, oh and let's not forget I almost got you killed.”

Ginny laughed lightly and pushed him, “You know when you say it like that, I almost feel like I should be mad at you.”

Draco looked at her surprised, “You're not mad?”

Ginny shook her head, “It's not like I expected any different from you, apart from the almost getting me killed bit,” she added as an after thought, “But, I never really thought you would be nice to Harry, or to my friends. From what they've said to me, you never did get mean to them, though you did act a bit strange sometimes,” Ginny said laughing, “But I'd say you did a pretty good job at tricking them.”

Draco gave a mock bow, “High praise indeed, I'm honoured.”

Ginny nudged him again, “Stop making fun of me,” she said playfully.

Draco smirked and continued to walk with her down the hallway, their shoulders occasionally nudging each other from their close proximity.

Ginny smiled to herself, as she listened to Draco talking about staying with Blaise. It was good to just talk to him normally. She felt immensely relieved that they had managed to catch up so easily; it was almost like they had been friends their whole lives.

Ginny looked up at his handsome face, with the silvery gray eyes. He smiled at her; a warm, friendly smile and she felt a strange fluttering in her stomach.

“And then Potter eloped with Filch.”

Ginny shook herself out of her wandering thoughts and looked up at him, “Um, what…?”

Draco laughed, “You're not even listening to me are you?”

Ginny blushed, “Sorry.”

“It's ok,” Draco said lazily.

Ginny still felt rather stupid and walked in silence with him. She noticed the Charms class and sighed, “I have to go to class now.” She said reluctantly.

Draco looked down at her and nodded, “Alright, I guess I'll see you round then.”

Ginny smiled, “Yeah.”

Ginny watched as Draco walked away towards the transfiguration room and couldn't stop the grin that formed on her face.

“Was that Ginny Weasley with Draco Malfoy?” Someone whispered loudly.

Ginny ignored the loud murmurings and whispers and walked into the Charms class, nothing could spoil her day, nothing at all, until….

“Ginny, how could you ditch me to flirt with Malfoy?” Lyra demanded.

Ginny looked up surprised, “I was not flirting with him!” She said annoyed, “He's my friend!”

“Oh sure,” Lyra said sarcastically, “Because all friends like to smile and make sheep eyes at each other.”

“I was not making sheep eyes at him!” Ginny said defensively.

Lyra snorted inelegantly and sat down next to Oricarn. Ginny glared at them and stared at Flitwick who was squeaking about some silly charm. She was not flirting with him, she thought angrily, they were just friends!

She sighed and stared at the window, hoping that the class would hurry up and be over.

OOOOOOOOOOOOO

Draco had a small smirk playing on his face as he walked into transfiguration. Blaise hollered him over to his seat and Draco walked lazily over, sitting down and pulling out his books.

“What are you looking so happy about?” Blaise asked curiously.

“Nothing.” Draco said absently.

“Yeah right, you look like you've just had a good snog or something; Weasley finally give in?” Blaise asked grinning.

Draco rolled his eyes, “Honestly Blaise, you are so vulgar sometimes, we just talked, if you really must know.” He smiled again, as he thought of how cute she looked when she laughed, `Wait did I just think she was cute?' he asked himself stunned.

Blaise smirked, “I'm just curious, anyway I know you dig her, it's so obvious.”

Draco frowned, “No I don't. I just like her as a friend.”

“Yeah, right.” Blaise said sceptically.

Draco didn't know why he was getting so defensive, but he had to prove Blaise wrong. “I swear!” Draco said defensively.

Blaise sniggered, “Don't try deny it, it will only come back to bite you in the bum.”

“Where do you hear these crude sayings?” Draco asked amused.

Blaise shrugged, “I've been talking to Crabbe too much. Anyway, why don't you just admit it?”

Draco sighed, “Because-”

“As interesting as your conversation may be,” Professor McGonagall said coldly, “I do not appreciate you talking during my lesson.”

Blaise and Draco looked at each other with annoyed expressions.

“In fact you can move Mister Zabini, I've had enough of you interrupting my class.” McGonagall said firmly.

Blaise sighed and moved desks, leaving Draco to continue his work in silence.

Draco blinked as a note landed on his desk and looked around to see Blaise smirking at him. He opened the note and grinned as he read it.

“She's just angry because Snape stood her up last night. I heard all about it when I was trying to steal food from the kitchens.”

Draco quickly hid the note as McGonagall came back and began to do his work. He exchanged amused glances with Blaise and continued to write his notes.

The bell rung and Draco and Blaise quickly stood up and left before McGonagall could throw a rant about their behaviour.

“That woman will die an old maid.” Blaise said firmly, “If ever there was a shrew, Minerva McGonagall is the ultimate!”

Draco laughed, “I thought you said she fancies Snape?”

“She does,” Blaise agreed, “But like I said, he stood her up.”

Draco shook his head and noticed Hermione watching them edgily, “I think Granger wants to talk to you, shall I leave?” he asked Blaise with a smirk.

Blaise looked at Hermione and looked back at Draco quickly, “Uh, yeah, let me deal with this alright?”

Draco nodded and walked away, an amused smile lurking on his face.

Blaise walked over to Hermione and smiled, “Granger, how are you doing today?”

Hermione smiled nervously, “Um, ok, I guess.”

“That's good.” Blaise said quickly. Why was he so nervous, he'd been around so many girls, hell, he was known as the Slytherin ladies man, and yet here he was, all tongue tied around Hermione Granger? “Wanna go for a walk or something?” Blaise asked, looking in the opposite direction.

Hermione nodded, “Sure.”

Blaise grinned and led her out to the courtyard, “So how were your holidays?” he asked, trying to keep casual.

“Well, um after the whole Draco/Ginny switching incident, things were kinda tense.” Hermione said slowly.

Blaise nodded, “I can imagine it would've been weird.”

They fell into silence and continued to walk. Blaise glanced at Hermione briefly, trying to think of something to say; all he really wanted to do was just grab her and kiss her, but after what happened last time, he didn't know if he should.

“Um, Blaise?” Hermione said nervously.

“Yeah?” Blaise said, stopping to look at her.

“When you, um kissed me, why did you do it?” Hermione asked, twisting her fingers nervously.

Blaise looked at her surprised, “I um..” he paused, why did he kiss her? At the time it seemed like a good thing to do, she just looked so adorable, and he didn't really think, just acted. “I guess because I could.” He said shrugging.

Hermione's eyes flashed with anger, and Blaise realised he had said something wrong.

“You!” Hermione yelled, slapping him hard in the face, “Ugh, I hate you!” she cried angrily, and stomped off towards the school.

Blaise sighed, “Well that didn't go well. Dammit, why can't I ever do anything right around her?” He asked no one in particular.

Sighing, he made his way to the dungeons; he didn't know how he could show her that he actually liked her.

OOOOOOO

“Hey Blaise!” Crabbe grunted from the seat where he was trying to balance a lolly on his nose.

“What's up?” Goyle asked, stuffing his mouth with a muffin.

“I think I just made Hermione hate me.” Blaise said dejectedly.

“What happened?” Crabbe asked, the lolly falling off his nose.

Blaise told them everything and sighed, “So now she hates me.”

Crabbe grinned, “Well you know what you could do.”

“What?” Blaise asked, running his hands through his hair.

“Write her a love poem.” Crabbe said shrugging, “Girls love that stuff.”

“A love poem?” Blaise said faintly. He had never had to do anything except snog a girl to have her fall at his feet, and now he would have to write poems?

“Yeah,” Crabbe said eagerly, “Go on, give it a try.”

Blaise nodded and began writing.

The door opened and Draco sauntered in looking arrogant as usual. “What's going on here?” he asked lazily, as he snatched up the parchment from Blaise.

“You smell like libraries,

I like your hair-”

Draco looked at Blaise, “What is this crap?”

Goyle burst out laughing, which turned to uncontrollable coughing as he choked on his muffin. Crabbe slapped him on the back hard, and they watched curiously as the muffin flew out of his mouth and hit a first year in the head.

“Anyway,” Draco said, turning his eyes back to Blaise, with a raised eyebrow.

Blaise blushed, “It's a love poem.”

Draco frowned, “You're writing this for Granger?”

Blaise nodded, still slightly red in the face from blushing.

Draco sighed and ripped up the parchment, “Give me that quill,” He said tiredly, “This is how you write a love poem.”

They all watched interestedly, as Draco began to write. Soon Crabbe and Goyle were putting their input into the poem and after a long hour of arguing, they finally had it finished.

Draco sealed the letter and gave it to Blaise with a smirk, “You owe me big for this.”

Blaise took the letter and sighed, “Thanks guys, I guess I better get it delivered then.”

The three boys nodded and pushed Blaise out of the room.

“This will be interesting to see,” Draco said with an amused smile, and sat down to wait for Blaise's return.

Love Poems And Jealousy

Ginny yawned and threw the book down she was reading on the floor, “I swear, if I have to read one more line on how sleep charms can affect people I am going to crack.”

Hermione sighed and looked away from the window, “Ginny, how are you going to pass your exam, if you don't read the book?”

Ginny grumbled something that sounded suspiciously like, `make you do it' but Hermione ignored her.

Ginny heard a faint tapping by the window and looked up, “Looks like an owl.” She said curiously. Standing up she walked over and opened the window, allowing a handsome tawny owl to fly through the window. Ruffling its feathers importantly, it dropped a thick envelope on Hermione's head and flew out the window.

“Oww,” Hermione said grumpily, picking the heavy parchment up of the ground. “What's this?”

Ginny shut the window and walked over to Hermione. “Wonder who sent it?”

Hermione shrugged and broke the seal on the envelope. She gasped in surprise as she read the parchment and handed it to Ginny in silence.

Ginny took the parchment and stared at the unfamiliar flowing writing; it was very neat and nothing at all like anyone's she knew. Frowning she began to read it.

Your eyes have pierced my steel heart,

Your smile enslaved my soul.

I wish to never be apart,

With you I become whole.

To be with you is like a dream,

If you only forgive me,

Now that I am coming clean,

I ask you this sincerely,

To meet me at the waters blue,

Under the moon and stars,

Then will I reveal to you,

What's in my stolen heart.

Ginny gasped, “Hermione, this is a love poem.”

Hermione nodded, “I know.”

“Well aren't you happy?” Ginny demanded, “He obviously went through a lot of trouble.”

Hermione laughed, “Blaise is just trying to get in my good books after I told him I hated him.”

“What?” Ginny said confused, “Why would you do that?”

“Because he said he only kissed me because he could.” Hermione said bluntly.

Ginny laughed, “Oh Hermione you didn't take him seriously did you?”

Hermione's flush told Ginny she did. Ginny sighed and clapped a hand to her forehead, “Blaise Zabini,” Ginny said firmly, “Doesn't know the first thing about dating. He's Mister ladies man, I'm sure he figured you would swoon at his feet at the snap of his fingers- but-” Ginny said smiling, “You didn't. Now he knows he has to work for you- and-” Ginny looked at Hermione squarely in the eyes, “He really likes you.”

Hermione sighed, “You think I should meet him then?”

Ginny nodded, “Why not?” She grinned, “Plus, it's such a romantic poem, wouldn't want to waste it now would you?”

Hermione grinned, “I admit, it is really nice.”

Ginny nodded enthusiastically, “Uh-huh, you're really lucky, getting something like that.”

Hermione blushed slightly, “Well I guess I should go then.”

Ginny clapped her hands excitedly, “Great, let's get you ready for tonight then.”

OOOOOOOOOO

Blaise walked into the Slytherin common room looking rather lost, “I did it.”

Crabbe and Goyle cheered and clashed their bottles of butterbeer together, while Draco stood up smirking all over his pale, pointed face. “Well done Blaise, you can finally call yourself a man.”

“Shutup,” Blaise said annoyed, pushing Draco slightly as he picked up a butterbeer. “I hope she likes it.”

“Course she will,” Draco said smugly, “I wrote it.”

Crabbe and Goyle looked up at that, “Hey, we helped too!”

Draco waved a hand at them dismissively and looked at Blaise, “So you're meeting her tonight then.”

“Guess so.” Blaise said shrugging.

Pansy walked past them and gave a nervous glance at Draco before exiting the common room. “Hang on,” Draco said seriously to Blaise, “I have to go have a chat with my dear Ex.”

Crabbe, Goyle and Blaise exchanged warning glances and looked at Draco warily, “Mate, you don't know if she did tell, think about it-”

Draco cut them off by glaring at them furiously before walking out of the common room. “Pansy!” He yelled, “Hey Pansy!” Grabbing her arm roughly, he turned her around to face him

Pansy glared at Draco through her glittering blue eyes, “Let go of me Draco or I swear I will curse you!”

Draco didn't let her go but loosened his grip slightly, “Why'd you do it Pansy?” he asked firmly, “Why'd you sell me to Bellatrix? Do you know you almost got me and Ginny killed?”

“Ginny?” Pansy said confused, “What's Weasley got to do with this?” She asked blankly.

Draco groaned, “I forgot, you didn't know.”

“Didn't know what?” Pansy asked confused.

Draco sighed, “Did you notice that I didn't seem myself lately?”

Pansy nodded, watching him curiously.

“That's because I wasn't myself.” Draco said heavily, “Ginny Weasley and I somehow switched bodies.”

“WHAT?” Pansy exclaimed incredulously.

“Shh” Draco said, clamping a hand over her mouth, “Do you want the whole school to hear?”

Pansy made a muffled noise and Draco pulled his hand away, “So now you know.”

Pansy looked at him shocked, “So the Draco I was talking to, was Ginevra Weasley?”

Draco nodded, “Hard to believe?”

Pansy shrugged, “I guess everything makes sense now.”

Draco sighed and looked at her, “You know you still haven't answered my question.”

Pansy fell silent and stared at the ground. “She came to my house two days before Christmas.”

Draco looked at her curiously, “And?”

Pansy let out a sob and buried her face in Draco's chest, “Oh Draco it was horrible. She tortured my parents with crucio and then she said to me that if I didn't tell her what happened she'd just use legimens anyway and then kill me. I was so scared, I didn't know what to do.” Pansy looked up at him with tear filled eyes, “I'm sorry Draco.”

Draco sighed and held Pansy close to him, gently smoothing her hair. “Don't worry about it,” He said gently, “We're fine and that's all that matters.”

Pansy gave a watery laugh, “I can't believe you were in the she-weasel's body.”

Draco laughed, “Well, it was certainly a strange experience.”

Ginny walked out from around the corner, chatting unconcernedly with Hermione when she saw Draco holding Pansy in his arms, smiling down at her. She stopped mid-sentence and could only stare. A strange feeling surged through her and she realised with a sickening jolt that she was jealous of Pansy. She wanted to be the one he was holding in his arms and smiling at. She wanted to be the one he would call his own.

Anger boiled within her, and she grabbed Hermione's arm, “C'mon, let's go.”

Hermione gazed at Draco and Pansy wonderingly but was pulled irresistibly forward by Ginny. “Woah, Ginny what's the matter? Why do you look so upset?”

Ginny sighed, “I don't know. I just had to get away from there.” She took a deep breath and plastered a smile on her face, “Let's just go, I don't wanna talk about it ok?”

Hermione nodded, “Sure.”

Ginny sighed in relief. She didn't want to talk about her confused feelings over Draco. She thought they were just friends but lately he had occupied her mind a bit too much, and most of them were not in the friendly sense. Seeing him with Pansy made everything a bit clearer; she liked him, but he had obviously gone back to Pansy and this made her feel just so empty, to realise that he would not like her back.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Draco pulled himself away from Pansy, “Pans, I'm sorry for distancing myself from you, but you were right that day. I was staying with you because I felt obligated, and I'm sorry. You deserve someone better.” He said shaking his head.

Pansy smiled, “It's ok, I think I realise that someone else occupies your heart right?”

Draco gave a small smile, “Noticed have you?”

Pansy nodded, “Well it's not that hard to tell.”

Draco shrugged, “Not much I can do, I don't even think she feels the same way.”

Pansy laughed, “That's a first. Maybe Weasley really is the right girl for you?”

Draco sighed, “In any case, I just have to work extra hard to make her like me.”

Pansy grinned, “Oh, I'm sure you will.”

Draco frowned. She had that right. Even after all the time spent in Ginny's body, he still didn't know where he stood with her. Sometimes he thought she might like him and yet other's it seemed like she was just being friendly. All in all, he was confused and Draco Malfoy hated to be confused.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Hermione pulled on her robe and looked at Ginny, “So how do I look?”

Ginny smiled, “You look great! Blaise is sure to fall at your feet!”

Hermione smiled, “Thanks for helping me with this Ginny.”

“Anytime.” Ginny said with a warm smile, “I'll walk you down to the lake if you like.”

Hermione took one last glance in the mirror and followed Ginny out of the room.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO

“Alright Blaise,” Crabbe said firmly, “This is your chance to snag the Granger girl. Don't blow it!”

Blaise laughed nervously, “Look at this, I'm getting date advice from Vincent Crabbe”

Goyle snorted at that and immediately fell silent as Draco walked into the room. “So?”

Draco smiled, “Everything is ready.”

Blaise let out a sigh of relief, “Thanks guys, I owe you big for this.”

Draco, Crabbe and Goyle nodded, “Oh yes you do.”

Blaise grinned at them, “Well how do I look?”

Goyle tilted his head to the side, “You look like a butterfly.”

“What the hell?” Blaise exclaimed, “What's that supposed to mean?”

“He means,” Draco said smirking, “That you look dressed up.”

Crabbe laughed, “You look fine Blaise, now Ginny will be here any minute so you ready for this?”

Blaise nodded, “Course I am.”

They all turned their heads as the door opened and Ginny stood there. She grinned cheekily at Blaise; “Well your date is awaiting you by the lake. I must admit I was impressed by your poem.”

Blaise blushed and looked at Draco nervously, who kicked Goyle in the leg to stop him blurting out that he helped write it.

“Well, what can I say.” Blaise said, scratching his head slightly.

“Right…” Ginny said blankly, “Well better hop to then, wouldn't want to keep Hermione waiting would you?”

Blaise shook his head and walked out of the common room, Crabbe and Goyle snickered and quickly fell silent at the look Draco was giving them.

“Uhh, we'll just go,” Crabbe said quickly, “Lots of homework.”

“Yeah,” Goyle said, cottoning on, “Must go, well seeya.”

Now Ginny and Draco were left alone in the common room.

Ginny looked at Draco uncomfortably, “So…” she said slowly, trying to think of something to break the awkward silence.

Draco looked at her through his silvery gray eyes and smirked, “Kinda strange those two going together.”

Ginny shrugged, “I can think of stranger.”

Draco looked curious, “Oh, like who?”

`Uh-oh, dangerous ground.' Ginny thought, “Umm, you know….” She trailed off and looked away embarrassed.

“You alright?” Draco asked moving closer, “You're acting strange.”

Ginny felt the heat rise in her face as he looked at her and couldn't contain herself any longer, “Are you really back with Pansy?” she blurted out.

Draco looked surprised, “Pansy?” he said confused, “Why would I be with Pansy, she dumped me remember?”

Ginny sighed, “I saw you two today, in the hallway. You looked quite cosy with her.”

Draco frowned, was that jealousy he heard? “I was merely talking to her.” He said blankly. Noticing her disbelieving look he elaborated, “She's been through a lot lately, is it wrong to comfort a friend?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.

Ginny shook her head feeling very stupid and slightly relieved all the same. “Sorry,” She said in a small voice, “I was just…” she trailed off looking embarrassed.

“Don't worry about it.” Draco said lazily, though secretly he was very happy. He could use this to his advantage.

“I wonder how Blaise and Hermione are doing?” Ginny said, trying to change the subject.

“Who knows,” Draco said amused, “Hopefully she hasn't killed him yet.”

Ginny laughed, glad the uncomfortable atmosphere had gone. “I guess we'll have to wait to find out.”

OOOOOOOOOOO

Hermione stood by the lake, her hair blowing softly in the gentle breeze. She looked up at the starry skies and smiled.

“You look nice.” A voice said from behind her.

She turned around and saw Blaise smiling at her, his forest green eyes glowing with admiration.

“Thanks.” Hermione said blushing slightly.

Blaise walked forward quickly, “Listen, Hermione, I know what I said was stupid, but please believe me when I say I really like you.”

Hermione sighed, “How can I trust you? How do I know this isn't all some game?”

Blaise gripped her hand and held it to his chest, “Do you feel that?”

Hermione nodded, as she felt the furious heart beat in his chest. Slightly surprised where he was going with this, she looked at him curiously.

“My heart is beating like this over you. I feel a strange rush when I'm around you, like everything is confusing and yet so clear.” Blaise placed his hands on her cheeks and looked deep into her eyes, “I like you Hermione Granger, and I want you to understand that.”

Hermione suddenly felt breathless and looked up nervously as he lowered his face, his lips pressing against hers in a gentle kiss. He pulled himself away and smiled, “Could you ever find it in your heart to like a poor Slytherin like me?”

Hermione smiled and leaned against his chest, “I do like you Blaise.” She said quietly.

Blaise kissed her softly on the forehead and wrapped his arms around her in a warm embrace, “I'll remember that.”

A/N: This is the last chapter!

The She-Weasel And The Ferret

The news that Ginny and Draco had somehow switch bodies spread like wild fire around the school. Everywhere Ginny went she saw students gnashing their teeth at her; people were obviously angry about the fact that Ginny had helped Slytherin win the house cup, even the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw students glared at her. Only the Slytherins seemed to not mind, in fact they were all giving her curious glances, even greeting her with friendly good mornings. Ginny had been quite shocked when the whole Slytherin Quidditch team had came and greeted her, giving her slaps on the back and congratulating her on her flying and style.

Ginny watched as the team walked away still chatting happily, “How does everyone know?” she asked Hermione confused.

Hermione sighed, “Ron of course. He went ballistic and told everyone. I think he's just upset because Luna thought it was nice you and Draco are friends.”

Ginny growled and glared at the flash of red hair that could be seen at the Gryffindor table. “That idiot, doesn't he realise what the outcomes of this could be?”

Hermione shook her head, “I seriously doubt it.”

Ginny sighed and walked over to her brother, “Hello brother dear, what is this you've been spreading about me?”

Ron looked at her angrily, though the effect was somehow ruined because his mouth was stuffed with porridge. Swallowing deeply he growled, “Someone had to show what a traitor you are!”

Ginny rolled her eyes, “This isn't about being a traitor or not! How would it have looked if I had purposely lost when I was still Draco? You don't think of that do you?”

“You let Slytherin win, you actually caught the snitch for them!” Ron bellowed. His voice so loud that people around the hall were giving them curious glances.

“How can you be so stupid?” Ginny yelled angrily, “I had no choice!”

“Ginny calm down,” Harry said quietly.

“No Harry, I will not calm down!” Ginny shouted, her frustrations finally getting the better of her, “You all sit there acting like a bunch of idiots, not even talking to me and you're supposed to my friends!” She glared at them, “The Slytherins have been nicer to me than what you have, and I've had enough! Obviously I'm not welcome here!”

Ron turned his face away, while everyone else gave her slightly hostile glances. Ginny sighed and walked away from the table, tears falling down her cheeks. She stopped suddenly in surprise when she felt someone grab her hand. Looking up she saw Draco Malfoy looking down at her, “C'mon Ginny,” He said giving a cursory glance at the seething Gryffindors, “You can come sit with us.”

Ginny followed Draco slowly to the Slytherin table. She sat down on the spare seat next to Draco and looked around at the Slytherins. Some smiled, while other's just stared at her curiously. Blaise gave her a reassuring smile; he looked rather funny sandwiched between Crabbe and Goyle. Pansy was sitting next to him and was looking at Ginny, a strange expression on her face.

“You know Weasley, I wanted to apologise.” Pansy said, sincerely.

Ginny looked slightly surprised, “For what?” She asked confused.

“For putting you through such a hard time when you were Draco. I guess you got caught up in the middle of things and I'm sorry for dragging you into it.” Pansy said shrugging slightly.

Ginny nodded and felt something brush her thigh. Jumping slightly she looked up at Draco who was looking at her apologetically, “Sorry,” he said quickly, “Not much room here.”

Ginny blushed slightly and looked the other way. She could feel the heat rising through her and didn't want Draco to see the effect he was having on her.

Pansy smirked knowingly and leaned over to whisper something in Blaise's ear. Ginny watched the interchange and flushed as Blaise grinned and gave her a small wink.

All of a sudden Ginny became very aware of how close she was to Draco. Their arms and legs kept nudging each other and she could smell his cologne, that almost spicy mysterious scent she loved.

He looked down at her and smiled, a strange look in his eyes, “What are you staring at Ginny? Is there something on my face?”

Ginny shook her head, why was this happening now? It was just Draco. She'd been in his body for over a week for goodness sakes! She knew everything there was to know about him, and I mean everything, even that tiny mole he has on his lower back. “It's nothing,” Ginny said quickly, trying to ignore the smirks Pansy and Blaise kept throwing her.

Draco shrugged and finished his breakfast. Seeing Pansy and Blaise's smirking faces he sighed, “Do you want to go for a walk Ginny?”

Ginny nodded, “Yeah, that would be nice. Everyone is staring at us.”

Draco glanced at the curious and hostile expressions on people's faces around the Great Hall and laughed, “You'd think they had nothing better to do than nose in on other people's business.”

Ginny agreed, giving Ron a haughty glare, as she followed Draco out of the Great Hall.

Once they were away from prying eyes Draco led Ginny away from the doors towards the courtyard. “Now that we got out of there...” Draco said with an amused look, he paused as he saw Ginny's expression, “What's wrong?” he asked concerned.

Ginny sighed, “Well I guess I'm just a little angry.”

“A little?” Draco asked with a small smile, “You're furious, I can tell.”

Ginny smiled, “That obvious huh?”

Draco nodded, “I don't blame you for getting angry at the Gryffindors, but don't let them get to you.” He looked at her seriously, “I don't like seeing you upset like this.”

Ginny looked up at him surprised. Draco Malfoy was being sympathetic to her? He was worried about her? Where did the arrogant snarky boy she used to know go?

“You know I used to think you were so mean to everyone,” Ginny said quietly.

“And what do you think now?” Draco asked curiously, his silver gray eyes looking straight into hers.

Ginny smiled, “Well I've realised you don't just care about yourself, despite what you like to portray.”

“And?” Draco asked, moving closer to her.

“That although you think you are above everyone else, you really do care about them,” Ginny said with a sly grin.

Draco smirked in acknowledgment and looked at her curiously, “Go on.”

“But the thing that has me most puzzled is how different you act around me.” Ginny said, looking up at him questioningly.

Draco smiled and leant his face towards her ear, whispering, “That's an easy answer.”

“Oh?” Ginny asked a little breathlessly.

Draco nodded, “You see it's like this,” he said softly, as he tilted her face up to him, and kissed her full on the lips.

Ginny felt the heat surge through her body and pulled him closer as she deepened the kiss. Draco responded eagerly, running a hand through her luxurious hair as he kissed her passionately.

They pulled apart slightly breathless, both looking at each other rather shakily. Ginny smiled to herself, as she realised the effect she had on him; he was looking just as shocked as her.

Draco looked at her for a second before pulling her into his arms again, as he kissed her even more passionately then before. Ginny could feel shocks running down her spine and couldn't control the fire that ran through her body; who knew Draco Malfoy would be such a good kisser?

“OI!!” Someone shouted angrily.

Draco and Ginny sprang a part, as though they had been jolted with an electric shock.

“What do you think you're doing with my sister?” Ron shouted, as he ran forward.

Ginny, still trying to regain control of herself and stop the dizziness that threatened to overtake her, scowled, “Ron stop being so ridiculous and go away!”

“But-” Ron exploded.

“RONALD WEASLEY IF YOU DON'T GET AWAY FROM ME RIGHT NOW, I AM GOING TO BAT BOGEY HEX YOUR SORRY BUTT ALL THE WAY TO THE MOON!” Ginny screamed, finally losing it.

“I think she's serious,” Draco said amused.

Ron glared at her, “Fine, be that way. Just know we don't like traitors!”

“ARGGH!” Ginny shouted angrily, as she watched Ron stomp off. “He is so annoying!” She said furiously.

Draco smirked, “He's your brother.”

Ginny rolled her eyes, “Yeah well you're going to have to put up with him too.”

“Oh yeah, and why's that?” Draco asked smirking.

Ginny looked at him surprised, “I um..well, I guess I figured…”

“Yes?” Draco prompted.

“I figured we must be, you know, boyfriend and girlfriend now,” Ginny said quickly, blushing slightly.

Draco looked at her contemplatively, “I guess you're right. This does make us a couple.”

Ginny laughed, “You say it like it's a bad thing.”

Draco shrugged, “Well, I've learnt from experience that you can be a rather annoying Weaslette, with a lot of annoying friends.”

Ginny laughed, “Oh and I suppose you've got a perfect personality with perfect friends?”

Draco grinned, “Of course.”

Ginny hit him lightly, to which Draco only smiled. Looking at her seriously he took her hand, “I'm glad that spell happened Ginny.”

Ginny looked up at him curiously, “Oh and why's that?”

Draco gazed into her deep chestnut eyes, “Because I would never have gotten to know you otherwise.”

Ginny smiled, “I guess it wasn't such a nightmare being in my body after all?”

Draco laughed, “I guess not.”

They began walking towards the lake when a sudden idea hit Ginny, “Draco, I realised how we switched bodies!”

“Huh, how?” Draco asked curiously.

“C'mon!” Ginny shouted, grasping his hand and pulling him towards the library.

“Oh Ginny, not the library again,” Draco groaned, “I've been there enough this year to know the whole restricted section of by heart.”

Ginny laughed, “It's not in the restricted section, just come on and I'll show you!”

Draco followed somewhat reluctantly and was surprised when Ginny brought him into the romance section. “Um Ginny-” he began.

“Shh,” Ginny interrupted, pulling out a large black book.

Draco watched curiously as she opened the book and started flicking through the pages. Grinning she handed him the book and pointed to a section. “Read right there.”

Orlando stared at his hands in shock, “How can this be, I have changed into Leon, my rival?”

Hero grabbed his hands, “Oh Orlando, do not be angry. This is very old magic that happens between two people when there are suppressed emotions that need to be solved. You and Leon are brothers at heart, when you can forgive him for what he has done and accept him as your friend, only then will you return to yourself.”

Draco frowned, “This is what happened?”

Ginny nodded, “This book is really old, but I'd say the spell is correct.”

Draco laughed, “To think, after all that time wasted searching in the library, the answer was in the book you threw at me the day it happened.”

Ginny giggled, “That's true.”

Draco put the book down and looked at her, “Well no we know how it happened but I still don't-”

“Draco,” Ginny said firmly.

“Yeah?” Draco said surprised.

“Do me a favour.” Ginny said with a smile.

“What?” Draco said confused.

“Shutup and kiss me.”

Draco grinned and quite happily obliged, pulling her into a fiery kiss.

Ginny smiled to herself as she leaned against Draco's chest. After everything she had gone through, she never thought she would ever call herself Draco Malfoy's girlfriend, let alone actually feel happy that she could.

Fate had a strange way in dealing with things, and sometimes a little push is all we need to get us realising what's in our very faces, even if it is an arrogant ferret and a feisty she-weasel.

A/N: Well there you go, the end! I hope you liked this ending better then my last. I am much more happier with this one, but I would love to hear what you think!!!!

BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO REVIEWED!!!!

15. Deleted Scenes...

A/N: There were quite a few scenes in this story that I really loved but ended up cutting to make things flow better. Anyway now that the story is finished I've decided to do a sort of deleted scenes page, where you can see all the scenes that I wrote but ended up taking out.

Enjoy!

DELETED SCENES

Scene 1:

This scene happened during the Quidditch game, Gryffindor VS Slytherin. Really, I wanted to put it in there because people always seem to have Ginny falling off her broom and Draco catching her. Read on to find out what happens.

Ginny was swooping round the pitch, her eyes searching for the ever-allusive glint of gold. She swerved past Draco, who was clutching the quaffle, and started heading in the other direction, when a loud shriek sounded out through the air.

Ginny turned her head and gasped as she saw Draco plummeting to the ground, as he was knocked off his broom by a bludger.

“MY BODY!!” Ginny shouted losing her head completely and dived swiftly towards the falling Draco. “Gotcha.” Ginny grinned, as she caught Draco in her arms.

He looked at her slightly dazed, “Weasley?” He said dizzily.

“You alright?” Ginny asked concerned.

Draco nodded and looked around. The whole stands were applauding and Luna's dreamy voice sounded over the speaker, “It seems that Draco Malfoy has his caught his damsel in distress, I wonder if he will kiss her?”

Ginny blushed and looked away from Draco's smirk. “You can get back on your broom now.” Ginny said embarrassed.

Draco nodded and shifted slightly, causing a strange heat to run through Ginny's body. She looked down and gasped at where his hand was. “Erm, Malfoy…”

Draco looked at her flushed face and looked down and quickly took his hand away. “Sorry…” he trailed off, feeling just as embarrassed and quickly clambered back on to his broom.

Scene 2:

This scene happens just before Ginny is about to go to the library to find Draco and she meets Blaise. I was going to put it there, and I don't really know why I didn't, but you get to see it anyway now.

Blaise walked into the library with the intention of doing some catch up Ancient Runes work, when a girl caught his eye. She was sitting at a table reading a book, her bushy light brown hair spilling over her shoulders. He edged closer and saw her sweet honey brown eyes smiling slightly, as she read something funny in her book.

Blaise let out a breath and walked over. “Granger.” He said jovially and sat down.

“Zabini,” Hermione said stiffly as she put her book down, “What do you want?”

“Nothing but your pleasant company.” Blaise said airily and looked at her book. “Ahh, Hogwarts A History, a very good book, you enjoying it?” He asked conversationally.

Hermione looked at him suspiciously, “You've read Hogwarts A History?”

Blaise nodded, “Why? Is that so surprising?”

Hermione shook her head and looked away to avoid staring at his intensely green eyes.

Silence fell around them and both were beginning to feel uncomfortable, not to mention the odd glances people were giving them.

“So…” Blaise said looking around, “I guess I better go then.”

Hermione nodded and watched him stand up.

“Nice talking to you Granger.” Blaise said cheerfully and walked away.

Hermione could swear she heard him muttering, “Stupid, why do you always have to blow it like that?”

She sighed and shook her head, going back to her book.

Scene 3:

This is the original date with Pansy. I ended up changing this to the more serious date, but I thought you might enjoy reading what I had planned originally.

Ginny walked towards the fountain feeling extremely nervous.

“Draco,” Pansy simpered and walked over, “You're finally here.”

She looked at Ginny expectantly and Ginny began to feel slightly uncomfortable.

She doesn't want me to kiss her does she?

Well Weasley, that is the custom way of greeting for boyfriends and girlfriends.

Oh shutup!

Ginny leaned down and kissed Pansy on the cheek. Pansy smiled and sat down by the fountain tapping the spot beside her and giving a roguish wink.

Ginny sighed inwardly, This girl is disgusting.

Just go and sit next to her, you twit!

Hey, watch it Ferret.

Or you'll do what?

Ginny glared slightly, she could almost picture the smirk on his face right now.

“Draco?” Pansy said surprised, “Why are you glaring at me?”

What?” Ginny exclaimed, “Sorry.”

Now look what you made me do!

You did that yourself.

Pansy huffed slightly and leaned forwards, “Did you miss me today?” She asked, fluttering her eyelashes.

Ginny had to try hard not to snort and smiled, “Sure I did.”

How can you date that?

I could say the same about Potty…

Pansy smiled a sickly sweet smile and ran her hand up Ginny's thigh, “It's been a while Draco…” She purred.

Ginny leaned back slightly, “Yeah…” She said distractedly trying to move Pansy's hands away from her.

“No one is around…” Pansy said suggestively.

“Yeah…WHAT!” Ginny shouted and sprung back from Pansy, causing the Slytherin girl to fall in the fountain.

“Ugh now look what you've done, you-you CLUTZ!” Pansy screeched, her face unbecomingly flushed.

Now you're in for it.

I didn't mean to.

Yeah right.

“Just go away Draco!” Pansy bellowed and stomped off to the castle.

Well that was a complete fiasco.

Yeah, Weasley, you really blew it.

Puh-lease, as if anyone could put up with that horrible clingy cow trying to come on to you all the time!

……..

Okay so maybe you do.

……..

Malfoy?

Oh, he must have gone back to his body already…

Well, I hope you enjoyed the deleted scenes. There were more but I have gotten rid of them and can't remember them.

This really is the end now!
