1. Chapter 1

A/U: Hello, I’m Blithe. I wrote this back when Kaytee was hospitalized in August. I meant to post it on her birthday (the sixteenth of August) but things piled up and it got pushed to the back of the priority list. This is more of what I like to call a ‘storble,’ a work of literature that is not quite a drabble and not quite a story, so it’s plotless and probably crap. You’ll plausibly be seeing more of these from me.

Disclaimer: Harry Potter belongs to everyone who rightfully bought him out. Mightnight Show is not lucky or rich enough to get a slice of that cake, so if you sue, you’ll win and be disappointed at the $4.58 you make from the legal proceedings.

It was hard to realize just when they fell together. Perhaps they had been falling together since Halloween of 1991, jumping way above the earth and to young to realize it. Maybe during the Triwizard Tournament when everything began to fall apart and come together all at the same time. Whenever it was, wherever it was, it was so distinctly them.

By the time they had both realized it, the earth had come rushing up and stopped their six year descent. It had taken hold of them with true love’s persistent gravity locking them in place in the midst of enemies and death. An intermittent war that tore lives apart with one flash, one knife in the dark, one whisper of betrayal, tried so desperately to rip them to pieces.

Never had something so life-changing fail so spectacularly.

The pressure it brought two lumps of coal together to form the brightest, clearest diamond the world had ever seen.

They had changed, but it was imperceptible to everyone except themselves. War changes people, but when you exist through something with the one you love at the heart of it, it cannot change that love. The growth does not happen in one person and leave the other behind. They grow together and help support the crosses they bear during and afterwards.

In a world filled with increasing sin and corruption, they were undauntable beacon of light even long after they disappeared in the impenetrable fog of the future, long after their deaths far into the 22nd century, long after their children were telling stories to their grandchildren.

They set the bar for true and honest love and no one had yet come to reach it.
