• `The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.'

Replacing the curly quotes with straight ones:

• "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog."

• 'The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.'

EDITED FOR TEST RESULTS: Well, the curly quotes were all displayed properly, but not MS Word's font size.
