The Unofficial Portkey Archive API

The archive has a small JSON API for fetching a story's text and details, aimed at people who want to use them in other tools.

Please don't use it for bulk downloads - the whole archive can be downloaded in one go.

Endpoints

  • GET /api/v1/story/{id}/ - a story with the text of every chapter
  • GET /api/v1/story/{id}/meta/ - a story's details, without its text
  • GET /api/v1/author/{id}/ - an author and their stories
  • GET /oembed/story/{id}/ - a story as an oEmbed link

A story that has been taken down carries a takedown_reason in place of its formats and chapters. Errors answer with a 404 and {"result": "error", "error": "STORY_NOT_FOUND", "message": "..."}.
