Chapter one- Dreams of the Past
It was if she was hypnotized. She felt her body sway from side to side having no control. There was a woman in front of her, her skin pale, young with beauty and dark long hair. She was the one hypnotizing, with her fingers. All she could do was follow the fingers pointed at her eyes.
She felt she need to fight, it was what she had always done. But now she felt helpless. Her mind was drugged, unable to react to her surroundings.

Now all she felt was pain and a warm liquid running from her throat as she collapsed to the floor. Blackness engulfed her into death.
Hermione sat up in bed grabbing her throat gasping, as if what she dreamed was real. She had been getting dreams like this over the past month, ever since Harry had left, she realized.
She and Harry had been married now for three years. Harry was an Auror and was away on special training. At least that was what he told her. In the past Harry has keep his whereabouts a secret even from her, for safety precautions. Hermione had tried not to let it bother her. She received owls from him everyday, so she knew he was ok.
Hermione worked at the Ministry translating ancient text among other things in the research department.
Hermione got out of bed. She looked at the clock and it read 6:28Am. She tuned off the alarm that would go off in two minutes time. After getting dressed and making her some tea, Hermione headed to the balcony of the loft she and Harry lived in. The sun would be up soon and Hermione didn't want to miss it.

Hermione walked by a ruined building on her way to work. A couple months back a bomb had gone off killing many. Hermione remembered that day. Harry had come home shaken up because of it. To this day Hermione still didn't know why.
Hermione walked everywhere, she never apperated much. She stopped by the muggle magic shop. Hermione would go in from time to time to see the kinds of thing they had. Some of it was actually legitimate. Real magic books and supplies, some stuff you could not even get in Diagon alley.
Inside there was only two other customers, who obviously were together. One was a red head, who reminded Hermione of Ginny. She was collecting some items off of shelves. The other girl, with the brown hair, was playing with a voodoo doll at one of the tables.
“Ah, Mrs. Potter, haven't seen you here in a while. How have you been?” Mr. Brown, the shop owner called from over the counter.
“Fine, Mr. Brown,” she answered, “Just came to seen what's new.”
“What's new is that we have a real witch in our presence.” He said.
Hermione almost panicked, she would hate to have Mr. Brown's memory modified if he found out she was a witch. “Really?” was all she said.
“Yes, yes, Miss Rosenberg here is helping out with a little problem I've been having with some break-ins.”
“Now Mr. Brown you wouldn't want to scare your customer away. I'm sure she doesn't need to know about that.” The red head said, and with the lack of the British accent, Hermione figured she was American.
“Oh it's quiet alright; Mrs. Potter here has an open mind, a bright one at that.” Mr. Brown said.
“Please call me Hermione, `Mrs. Potter' makes me sound older then I really am.” Hermione insisted.
“Same goes for me,” said the red head, “Just call me Willow. And I'd appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone, that I am a witch, it's kind of a secret.”
“Hey Will, did you do that locator spell for the London Slayer yet?” the brown haired girl called from the table.
“No, Kennedy, that one of the reasons we are here, remember?” the one called willow said. “Mr. Brown, do you have any thing for a locator spell? Perhaps a map of London?”
Mr. Brown nodded and left the room.
“Do you think it's wise to use magic so openly?” Hermione asked Willow quietly.
“Oh I don't usually; it was just a protection spell I cast on the shop.”
“You aren't afraid you'll get caught. We're really not supposed to do magic in frond of them.” Hermione said.
“We?” Kennedy said, “You mean you are a witch too.”
Hermione nodded, “We're lucky no one from the Ministry found out.”
“Ministry?”
“Of Magic, you know.”
“No we don't know.”
“You mean you don't know what the Ministry of Magic is. Where did you go to school? You must have gone to Salem.” Hermione implied.
Willow caught on to what Hermione was getting at. “You mean to say that there is a whole society of Witches?”
“You didn't know?”
“No, I would love to meet more witches, other then the ones I already know.” Willow said.
“Hey Will, I told Giles I would help out with the new recruits today so I'll see ya later. Love ya.” Kennedy said walking out the door.
Hermione looked at her watch and realized she was going to be late for work. She jotted down the address of the Leaky Cauldron on a piece of paper, “If you're free later, say around three, you can meet me there. I will show you the Wizarding world.” Willow agreed to meet her later and Hermione headed out the door.
