Chapter 20
Hogwart found them outside Krum’s house, Harry sent a signal for each team to go ahead and get in place.
Harry, Dumbledore stayed behind at the castle in order to get back up, was leading Harry’s team.
Harry, Ron, Luna, Ginny, Draco, Justine, Cho, Crabbe, Goyle, and Neville hurried over to the front door, Harry looked around as he muttered the unlocking charm. The door, silently, swung open and the team slipped in the door as they hurried over to the stairs.
“Where do you think she is?” Ron whispered as they all looked at the two corridors, each leading to stairs, one up and one down.
“My guess the dungeon?” Draco asked and Harry nodded in agreement.
“I agree with Draco, Voldemort is up to something and no doubt it will be big so he need to be underground so that no passenger by will see what is happening.” Harry explained as they all rushed down the stairs to the door leading to the dungeons.
Hermione found herself chained to a huge rock. All the death eaters were surrounding her while Voldemort was standing to the side in front of an altar that had the book resting on it. He had his hands raised to the ceiling.
“Mien, Lang Noctum, Mien Lang Noctum.” He muttered over and over again. “Casta Bie Dang Sa La!” Voldemort demanded and there was a huge gust of wind as the ceiling began to fade away, opening itself to the darkness.
Hermione gasped when she realised what was going on and she fought the chains to free herself but it was useless.
Lightening began as Voldemort kept on chanting away.
The doors crashed opened, interrupting the ceremony, everyone looked toward it, wondering who dared to enter at this very moment and saw that the team was standing there with their wands out, ready for battle.
“Let her go!” A voice growled.
“Harry!” Hermione screamed as her body weakened from relief that rang through her body at the sight of seeing her saviour.
“Harry Potter has come at last! But you are too late boy!” Voldemort sneered as he threw back his head to stare at the darkness. “Dragonise, hear my plea! Come before me and bestow the power on me as I have longed for!” Voldemort demanded; there was a crack of lighting as a dragon appeared out of nowhere and began to circle the rock that Hermione was chained to. “This is my sacrifice, take her and bestow the powers on me!” Voldemort commanded as the death eaters began bowing.
Hermione fought at the chains as Harry began to rush over to her but someone stepped in his way.
“Lucius Malfoy!” Harry hissed when he saw who it was.
“Yes Potter, me. I believe that we have some unfinished business to take care off.” Malfoy sneered as he raised his wand.
Harry didn’t stop to think at all, he didn’t reach for his wand. He launched himself at Malfoy and tackled him to the ground. Malfoy didn’t have a chance to utter a spell when he hit the ground and his head hit a rock, knocking him out cold.
Voldemort snapped his fingers, which provoked the death eaters running toward the team. Thank to years of defence against the dark art lesson and to D.A meetings, everyone quickly assumes their battle stances and began stunning away.
There was a crash from the left and the right, which stopped everyone, saw that the rest of the students had turned up, surrounding the area.
Voldemort let out an amused groan as he sat back to watch the show and waved his hands to let his followers know that it was okay to kill them.
Everyone was fighting as Harry stunned the ones that were blocking his way as he rushed over to Hermione.
The dragon swung her head to face him and let out a low growl, warning him to back off, Harry just drew out the sword and met her eyes with glare of his.
“Bring it on.” Harry muttered as the dragon began snapping at him. Harry jerked backward as he sword swung at the mouth, effectively cutting her snout. The dragon let out a howl of anger and pain as she took a step backward and slowly growled. Harry’s eyes widen when he saw smoke billowing out of her snout and ran behind a rock as flames roared out, missing his cloak but most of the death eaters weren’t so fortune, they burnt to death.
The students ran over to the door and watched everything with a look of horror, they now realised what Hermione, Harry and Ron go through each year.
Harry rounded the rock and stared at the Dragon with a determined look like he did with the snake in his second year. He watched the dragon for any movements.
Soon the dragon launched herself at Harry only for him to duck and thrust his sword up into the dragon’s chin, penetrating the eyes. The dragon let out a howl of pain as she slump down, dead.
Harry sighed with relief as he got up and watched as the dragon disappeared before their eyes but it was intruppted by a howl of frustration from Voldemort.
“NO! You will pay for that one boy!” Voldemort snarled at Harry as he raised his wand and waved it, sending out a red beam of light. It shot over to Hermione and disappeared into her chest.
“Oh!” Hermione gasped as her eyes widen in shock then filled with pain before turning glassy as she slumped against the rock, lifeless.
“Hermione!” Harry screamed.
