Hi guys, so sorry that I just left it, I was having problems trying to figure out what to do next so here we go.

Chapter 29: the Halloween ball.

Hermione was staring the mirror of her room, she bit her bottom lip nervously as she twirled for the mirror.

“Don’t worry dear, you look gorgeous darling.” The mirror assured, Hermione just nodded but was still nervous.

 It was two weeks after she had left the Hospital Wing and she had never seen Harry being more protective than he was now, she was never out of his sight unless they were in different classes but there was always another student in the class looking out for her under Harry’s order. It made her love Harry even more but it also worried her how he was making himself ill because of what had happened to her, she had asked him but his eyes always went dark and his skin went pale, he just mumble something then turn it to another conversation.

Tonight was the night she was going to show Harry that she was not a little girl and can take the bad news no matter what and she was going to prove to him that she was fine!

A little girl she wasn’t, not the outfit that she was wearing.

Everyone had to dress up for the Halloween ball apart from the first to fourth year, they were happy about that, apparently someone had been telling them that a troll had came in the trio’s first year and attacked Hermione so it made the youngest convinced that another troll was going to come in attack them!

Hermione sighed as she twirled again in the mirror making sure that she looked fine.

            Harry was pacing the common room’s room, he was wearing a Black trousers and a black jacket while a white shirt, he explained to Ron that he was pretending to be and F.B.I agent and with Dean’s help, he managed to get Ron to understand. (A/N Okay I know that its seem a little stupid that a wizard is pretending to be an agent but I needed him to be wearing a suit and this was the only thing I could think off!)

Ron decided to go as Frankenstein while Luna went as Frankenstein’s wife (A/N Seems a good idea at the time!) they both looked amazing thanks to Ginny’s make up magic, she went as a Mermaid but one that had legs when she went on land so she was wearing a light blue sarong and a light blue bikini top while Draco went as a rock punk, he grew his hair a bit longer and it was spiked up while he wore a pair of black leather pants and a white shirt that was left unbutton and the sleeves ripped off, there as a sliver bicep bangle in the form of a snake which made him look more dangerous than normal, Ginny was all flushed when she saw him.

            Harry stopped pacing when he heard footsteps on the staircase and looked toward it, his breath stopped when he took in Hermione’s form.

“Wow!” Harry whispered, feeling hot all of a sudden.

Hermione was wearing a dark red dress with the straps hanging off the shoulders and dark red thigh high boots that made her nearly the same height as Harry, just a few inches shorter, her hair was curled neatly with some of it pinned back while the rest was loose around her face, there was two splits in her dress on either side and they reached nearly the top of her thigh while the top part of her dress was like a bodice. “Oh man.” Harry groaned to himself, wondering how the hell he was going to keep his hands off her all night.

Hermione walked toward him, taking in the sight of him, his white shirt was left unbuttoned at the top which left a fair bit of skin for her to feast on, he looked extremely hot in his outfit.

“F.B.I Agent huh?” Hermione asked as she smoothed out his collar.

“Yes, and what you might be?” Harry asked, raking his eyes over her body.

“I am a princess with a secret.” Hermione explained.

“Hm…what kinda of secret?” Harry asked, Hermione just smiled and winked at him.

“you’ll see.” Hermione teased as she kissed him. Harry just chuckled as he kissed her back then wrapped his arm around her waist to lead her to the Great Hall for the best night of their lives.

            “This place looks great!” Ginny commented as she looked around, there were floating pumpkins and there were bats flying about while the candles changed colours of oranges to black, to purple, to red then back, giving it a horror sort of feel.

Draco nodded in agreement.

“Yeah, the prefects have done a really good job on it.” Draco commented as he looked around and brightened. “Look, there’s Sirius and Lupin, shall we go over?” Draco asked, Ginny nodded and laughed as Draco bowed while holding out his arm to lead her over.

            Harry and Hermione were all ready with the two men.

“You could have told us that you were coming!” Harry exclaimed as he hugged Sirius and Lupin in greeting, extremely glad to see them.

Sirius had been cleared of all charges because Peter somehow managed to stuff up and let himself be seen in public, no one knew how he managed to do it or why he did it but just accepted it while Snape still had his doubts, he still claims that Peter was up to something.

“We wanted to surprise you two.” Lupin explained.

“So how are you feeling today Hermione? Sorry we couldn’t see you earlier, we weren’t allowed out.” Sirius explained and Hermione nodded.

“I’m fine, if Harry, here, would just accept it then I would be even more happier!” Hermione gently teased Harry as she cuddled into his side.

“Sweetie, you know what I’m like, I’ve been the same since our first year so I don’t think I’m going to be changing personalities soon.” Harry teased back and Hermione laughed as Harry kissed her on the lips.

“Aw, how sweet! Young love! Our Harry is all grown up.” Sirius teased as he wiped away a fake tear, Lupin just shook his head at Sirius.

“Don’t think you’ve grown up lately.” Lupin remarked as he turned to the food while Sirius looked at him with a frown while Harry and Hermione stifled their snickers.

“And what is that suppose to mean?” Sirius demanded, Harry shook his head as he pulled Hermione out onto the dance floor as a slow music came on.

Hermione sighed as she rested her head on Harry’s chest and closed her eyes, just letting herself be happy, that she was alive and dancing with the one she loved. Harry just looked at her as the music seeped into his ear.

He couldn’t believe how that just summed up his feelings for her, he kissed the top of her head then rested his chin on it, just relaxing and enjoying the night with the girl he loved.

            Ron and Luna were dancing off to the side.

“They look so happy don’t they?” Ron asked Luna and she nodded then looked up at her boyfriend.

“Ron? What is it?” She asked and Ron sighed.

“I just get this really bad feeling that something will happen to tear the two of them apart and I don’t want to see that happen.” Ron sighed. Luna looked up at him sympathetically.

“If something happens, they will make it, I promise you that they will make it.” Luna whispered as she kissed Ron gently on the lips then rested her head on his chest while watching the other couple. ‘At least I hope they do.’ She thought to herself.
