Chapter 7: Memories and love.

Harry found himself sitting in front of the fire in the Gryffindor common room.

Hermione and he had arrived back up to the common room only to find that everyone had got to their bed, seeing Cho and Harry’s argument had put them off partying so they decided to go and get some rest. Hermione had gone up while Harry went into his room only to stare at the ceiling. He couldn’t sleep, he just knew that something was going to happen and he hated that feeling, he just wanted to be a normal boy and to belong in the two worlds but he can’t, in the Muggle world he was a wizard, someone who had powers while in the Wizarding world he had powers that no one else seem to have and he is the only one who can save them as he was the only one who could defeat Voldemort.

Harry groaned slightly as he shifted under the covers that was over him, he hated feeling useless, all he wanted to do was go and kill Voldemort some times so that everything would be over, so he could get on with his life but he knew just as the next person that it would never happen. To everyone in the Wizarding world apart from a few people he would always be ‘The boy who lived’.

“But I don’t want to be him.” Harry muttered.

“Don’t wanna be who?” a voice asked, startling him, Harry spun his head around and his heart melted, Hermione stood there, her hair slightly ruffled, it was still straight and she was in the P.J that he bought her when they were in fifth year, she was rubbing her eyes to get the sleep out of them as she moved toward Harry and sat next to him.

Harry lifted up the covers and held out his arm, inviting her to snuggle into him.

Hermione moved over toward him and rested her head on his chest as his arm closed around her protectively and wrapped the covers around him.

“Don’t wanna be who?” Hermione repeated and Harry grinned slightly to himself.

“I don’t wanna be ‘The boy who lived’” Harry said and Hermione looked up at him with concern in her deep brown doe eyes.

“Harry, you are not ‘the boy who lived’, well, not a least to some of us.” Hermione said and Harry smirked.

“Yeah I’m ‘The boy who’s a pain’ in Voldemort’s case.” Harry said and Hermione giggled, knowing that Harry was right, they knew that Voldemort was getting frustrated because Harry wasn’t easy to kill.

“Yeah I get that. But to me, you are Harry, just Harry.” Hermione said, repeating the same words he used when he introduced himself to Hagrid. Harry smiled remembering the moment, which caused Hermione to be confused. “What are you smiling at?” Hermione asked and Harry grinned.

“It just, well when Hagrid came to get me I told him the same thing. ‘ I’m Harry, Just Harry.’ It’s just kinda funny hearing you say it.” Harry said and Hermione smiled, thinking about it.

“I remembered when I first met you on the train.” Hermione started and Harry started laughing.

“Has anyone see a toad? A boy named Neville had lost one.” Harry repeated and Hermione blushed.

“I still can’t believe those were the first words I said to you two.” Hermione said and Harry nodded.

“But that’s who you are, you didn’t care if anyone famous was in the compartment, you were too busy making sure that Neville got his pet back. It was more funnier when you started going on about all the books you read about me in and you didn’t even give me your name.” Harry said and Hermione rolled her eyes.

“I was so caught up in trying to remember all the books I’ve read about you in rather than my name.” Hermione defended herself and Harry tickled her side lightly.

“I’m just teasing you.” Harry whispered as Hermione lay back down.

“Remember Fluffy?” Hermione asked and Harry laughed.

“I remember how loud we all screamed when we came in contact with that dog! Wonder if it’s till there though?” Harry wondered and Hermione thought about it.

“They wouldn’t still have the dog locked up in that small room would they?” Hermione asked worried and Harry bit his lip.

“Why? Are you going to set up another club? P.O.T.H.D. Protection Of the Three Headed Dog?” Harry teased and Hermione elbowed him in the stomach.

“Watch it Potter.” She warned and Harry laughed lightly.

“Oh Last name terms already? Are you turning into Malfoy?” Harry teased and Hermione turned to face him with a sexy glint.

“Now, if I was turning into Malfoy, I wouldn’t be able to do this would I?” she asked as she kissed him lightly as she shifted herself onto his lap, Harry moaned when he felt her light weight on his lap and her teasing kisses. Soon his arms went around her body, pressing her into him as his mouth grabbed hers and started kissing her thoroughly.

Hermione moaned as she wrapped her arms around his neck as they enjoyed the kiss. Soon Harry was spinning out of control and he knew it was too fast, it was too fast to be heading in that direction as they had just got together and he didn’t want her to regret anything.

“Hermione, we need to slow down.” Harry whispered and Hermione pulled away looking at him warily, scared that he was pulling away from her again.

“Slow what down?” Hermione asked and Harry smiled as he tenderly tucked a stray hair behind her ear.

“The physical side of our relationship, I don’t think we are ready for it yet.” Harry said and Hermione nodded as she got of his lap and snuggled into his side, she laid her head on his shoulder while he laid his head on top of hers as they both fell into a deep sleep, their mind picking up where they had left off.
