Ok so I caved. I'm updating tonight. I'll still update tomorrow though. Promise.

"Would you forget about the mistletoe?!" Lily said.
"I looovvveee mistletoe. Especially if I happen to be with you at the time." James said sweetly, giving her puppy dog eyes he knew she couldn't resist.
"That's sweet James, please don't look at me like that."
"Why? Do you think I'm irresistable?"                                                                            "Oh, yes. Absolutely irresistable" Lily said sarcastically, then her tone changed, "Oooh, is that Frederik?"
James followed her gaze, and saw that she was indeed, looking at his fifteen year-old cousin. "Yeah, that would be him."
Lily quickly looked at him when she heard his tone. He was jealous. "Relax James, I'm not going to forget about you, contrary to what you seem to think."
"I am not jealous." he said.
"I didn't say you were, you did."
"Oh. I guess you got me there." he said sheepishly.
"So, what exactly is the timeplan of this shindig?" Lily asked in an American accent to make James smile.
"We dance and do whatever for thirty minutes, to give people plenty of time to get here, then we eat. The caterers will bring food in. Then we dance until the ball ends or we fall asleep."
"All-nighter!" Lily said with delight.
"Probably not. Most of these people won't make it past one."
"I can always dream." Lily said airily, and started walking towards the table where Frederik and some people about their age sat.  James hurried to catch up with her. He didn't trust Frederik with Lily. Actually he didn't trust any guy with Lily. How could they resist her? He also wondered how she managed to stay so down to earth, every guys in the world slavered over her.
"Well, hello. I'm Frederik." Frederik said in a sauve voice that made James want to choke im with his bow-tie.
"Hi. I'm Lily Evans."
"Hmmmmmm. Haven't I met you somewhere before?"
"Yes. Two years ago, here."
"Ahhh, you're James's little friend. His neighbor, correct?"
"Yes, she's my girlfriend." James stepped in, and sat by Lily.
"Oh." Frederik looked vaguely disappointed.
"She's even living with us until we go back to Hogwarts" Gina added, there were no muggle children there yet.
"WHAT? Oh, didn't my parents say something about you? What was it...." Frederik pondered.
"Thanks a lot Gina." James said.
"You're welcome James. Everybody, that is why there's so much mistletoe in this blasted house. He tried to lead Lily around, catching the poor girl under it all the time." Gina answered.
"GINA" Lily said in a calm voice. Everybody expected her to be mad, or embarassed, or something. Not cool as a cucumber.
"Sorry Lily." Gina said, somewhat repentantly.
"THAT'S IT" Frederik said triumphantly. "You're half-Sinnient, like James. And something happened, so Aunt Meredith and Uncle Anthony had to monitor you."
"Newsflash, Frederik had a brainwave." James said, causing the mentioned to scowl. Shortly dinner was served, so James and Frederik didn't get into a verbal fight, much to Lily's relief. After dinner James and Lily danced a lot. They found out both of them knew how to ballroom dance, so they were even able to dance the classicals. About midnight James got the bright idea to conjure up some mistletoe for him and Lily. He knew he couldn't be tracked since he wasn't using a wand, and Lily was close enough he wouldn't need it. James transfigured a candy cane into a sprig of mistletoe, directly above an unknowing Lily. He started walking towards her with a smile, but Frederik had also seen this, and beat James there.
"Oh, look. Lily and Frederik are under the mistletoe!" One of James's aunts declared. The entire room turned to stare at them. Lily looked up, surprised at the mistletoe. James was seething. It was supposed to be James and Lily under the mistletoe.  "Lay it on her Fred!" one particularly rambunctious cousin shouted, causing the room to giggle. Frederik leaned down to do just that, but Lily ducked.
"I didn't realize I was standing under mistletoe." she said, and started to walk off. Frederik caught her arm, and his mother said, "It's bad luck if you don't!"
"How much?"
"15 years."
"Come, on you two have to kiss." one said. Lily didn't see any other hope for it, so she kissed him lightly on the cheek.
"Nuh, uh. That's not a real kiss." somebody said.
"Hey, you guys, give her a break. She's going out with James." Gina spoke up, and Lily gave her a grateful look, and started to walk off again. Once again, Frederik caught her wrist.
"I'm sure my cousin won't mind a completely innocent kiss, will he?" he said sweetly. The entire room looked at James, who was turning a rather scary shade of red. "Go right on ahead." he managed calmly. Lily shot him a look that said, 'you're dead'. Frederik flashed a triumphant smile, and kissed Lily. His intentions were to prolong it, but Lily deftly removed herslf from his grasp and walked across the room. James followed her.
"That was terrible," she said, "and you said he could!"
"Well, what was I supposed to do? Say what I really wanted, hell no, don't touch her? I would be laughed out of here!"
"I'm sorry, I know you really had no control over it. But how did that mistletoe get there?"
"I kind of put it there. WAIT! Don't interrupt yet. I was planning on kissing you, not Frederik. He got there first."
"Well, do you want your turn?" Lily asked.
"What? You're not mad?"
"Nawww. I'm over it. I'll meet you there in five minutes." Lily said.
"Okay. I'll be at the buffet until then." James said, and then went in opposite directions, Lily danced with James's dad asked her while she waited.  After 4 minutes and thirty seconds Lily innocently made her way to the mistletoe. James also did the same thing. Both of them managed to look unaware of the other, as well as the mistletoe. They were standing there chatting momentarily, then someone shouted, "James and his girlfriend are under the mistletoe." They recognized Gina's voice. This time Lily didn't try to runaway from the mistletoe, but met James halfway. Onlookers smiled at them, then were astonished at what they saw. They were glowing. Not a happy glow, they were that too, but gold and red. The light was coming from them, and mixing.
"What's going on?"
"What's happening?"
"Is there going to be an explosion?"
"Why is this happening?" were questions whispered. When Lily and James broke apart the glow remained.
"Lily, James, I need to talk to you." Anthony Potter said. They followed him into the library. James for once was ignoring the mistletoe along the way.  "Lily, let me see you're ankle" he said without preamble.
"WHAT?"
"Let me see your ankle. I have to check for something." Anthony said. Lily hiked up the hem of her dress and showed him her ankle.
"Yes, as I thought. Now James, let me see yours." James also showed him his ankle.
"You two are full Sinnients now."                                                                               "What? How?" James asked.
"You two were half-Sinnients together, and somehow your magic bonded when you kissed out there. Lily, you were glowing gold , and James, you were glowing red."
"Wow, that's cool" Lily said.
"Yes, we need to take you to the Ministry tomorrow. Full Sinnients have to be checked out, and there's some kind of restriction too."
"Okay. But why did this happen?" James asked.
"I don't know. Maybe you two have a purpose we don't know yet. Anyhow, let's go back out there and enjoy the ball."  James and Lily danced the night away, and Lily's thoughts were preoccupied more than once. She was thinking how she didn't feel anything when she kissed Frederik. When she kissed James though, electricity ran down her spine, she loved kissing James. She wondered if it was supposed to be like that. Anyhow, they had a good time, and Lily didn't get to pull her all-nighter. True to James's words, the party was over at 1:30.   The next day they went to the Ministry of Magic, where Anthony Potter worked. He walked in, went to a secretary's outer office and said, "I need to see the Minister directly. I have two Sinnients here." The secretary pool went silent with shock, looking at James and Lily with awe.
"Yes sir, Mr. Potter. I'll tell him right now." and she scuttled out of the room. In thirty seconds an older man came out and said, "I hear you have TWO Sinnients! TWO?"
"Yes Rorik. My son and his friend."
"Let me see them." he said. They all followed him into his office.
"Let me see your ankles." he commanded, and both of them showed them the crescent shaped scars that were pale on their inside-left ankles. "Yes, that's the scar alright. When did you find out?"
"They found out earlier this year that they were half-Sinnients by their defense against the dark arts teacher, Marzipan Evans. He's Lily's uncle, and a full Sinnient also. Last night, at our Christmas party they kissed, and started glowing. I took them into my office and saw the scar."
"Yes, it sounds like they're Sinnients then. Each of you perform some kind of a spell."
Lily did an engorgement charm to enlarge his file cabinent. James transfigured a chair into a dog, then back again. This time the light was red and gold, not a single color as before.
"They're definitely Sinnients. They're powerful, even for Sinnients. I can tell by the the vividness of the light. They will be restricted from using their powers until they're 21, most Sinnients are 18, but they are too powerful. They need to be older before they have them completely under control. So, please use your wands as normal. Be careful children. Be very careful. Anthony, let me talk with you privately."  Lily and James left the room.   "The dark wizard, who is rising in the east, will want these two. Two powerful magicians such as themselves will be great assets to both sides. Instill in them, Anthony, goodness, honesty, morality, and honor. Teach them the right side, they will need all of their willpower to stand up to the dark lord, and I know that they will have to some day. Whichever side they're on will eventually win, mark my words. Pray they will be on our side. If they are, they will be in danger from the dark side. If they join the dark side, we might as well throw in the towel now. For we will have no hope, none at all. I shudder with the thought of the power a child of theirs would have. His would be a power equal to those. Could you imagine, three Sinnients at one time, all related to each other?"
"Surely they're not that powerful?"
"Yes they are. Even now, they are probably more powerful than most wizards that are full grown. When they reach maturity, they will be a power to be reckoned with. Some say Albus Dumbledore is the greatest wizard of our time, but he will be replaced. When these two turn 21, they will be the most powerful magicians to ever have lived. They will pass the dark lord, Dumbledore, even Merlin."
"Oh, Merlin!" Anthony Potter exclaimed, "This is serious. Is it good to promote their relationship?"
"YES! Those two must be together at all costs! If they're on opposite sides, oooohhhh. It will be bad. A wizard's war. If they truly fall in love by chance, things will never be the same for anybody. Two magicians that powerful, I can only imagine. They will both have a great capacity for love, and that love will make them even stronger. They will face problems others will never face, and the other may be the only place they can turn for understanding and comfort. Yes, I can see that we may see it in our lifetime." he said the last part almost to himself.
"See what?"
"A great love was predicted many years ago. Here, I have it written someplace. Ahh, here it is, read this." Anthony looked at the old parchment
In the days when love is hard to find
One great love will rise above the land.
In the days when loves seldom lasts,
We will see a love splendid and grand.
This love, it shall never tarnish,
Staying bright and new.
These lovers, powerful they may be,
Strong separated, invincible united.
When these two procreate
This child will be powerful and great.
None of these shall have a superior,
No one to stop them.
They must guide eachother,
Wandering down their own path.
Stumbling over roots and rocks,
Catching each other when they fall.
Who will these great ones be?
The heir and the mate.
The stag and the fox.
The one who supplants and the flower.

"My God" Anthony breathed. "The one who supplants means James. The flower is naturally Lily. But I don't get the stag and fox bit."
"They're training to become animagi" the Minister said.
"WHAT?"
"Their whole crew have examinited it critically. We know from the school employees. If Dumbledore hadn't noticed we wouldn't have known. Those children are sneaky. We won't say anything to them, because James and Lily are strong enough to reverse the effects if it goes wrong. They will register when they feel it is time. For now we know their animals. That's enough."
"This is so hard to take. I will naturally direct Lily, since her parens are muggles."
"Naturally. Treat them as normal children, only with more strictness. I understand James is a prankster. That's fine, but don't let them get out of hand. He could be dangerous unintentionally. I believe Miss Evans will keep him out of serious trouble though. Let them be kids. They grow up fast enough as it is. Remember, teach them well. Honesty, honor, bravery, humility, grace, pride, love, and morality. Those are the keys. That's all I have to say Anthony, besides good luck."  Anthony walked out to meet his son. The son that was the spitting image of him. It was a trait of Potter men. The mother was nearly untraceable in all the male children. And he looked at the girl. He knew in his gut that this girl would be his daughter one day, sure as he knew the sun would rise the next morning. Strangely enough, he wasn't upset, but comforted and relieved. She was a good girl. Honest and faithful from what he could tell. She sure put up a fight with Frederik. Smart as a whip, a Sinnient nonetheless. Stunningly beautiful and kind. Beauty radiated from the inside from Lily. She obviously liked James. He knew his son was smitten with Lily. Why else would he go to all the trouble picking out the perfect Christmas present for her and hanging mistletoe. She had nice parents, even though she had one lousy sister. This girl was strong he could tell. She might only come to James's chin, even now, but there was a strength that would never break. Life and spirit sparkled in her eyes. She seemed happy just to be alive, and wouldn't let anything break her. Yes she would be good for his son, just what he would need. James better hang on to this girl with both of his hands, and fight tooth and nail to keep her. He would be miserable without her. She was a one of a kind jewel. "Would you two mind if I just did a small smidgen of work while I was here?" Anthony asked.
"I don't mind Mr. Potter." Lily said.
"Me neither Dad." James said, and went back to talking to Lily.
'Well great, my son is already ignoring me. He will probably hole himself up with her for twenty years once they get married' Anthony thought with amusement, and led them to his office. He was an Auror. James actually tore himself away from Lily and said, "Hey Dad, it looks like you have a pretty cool job. This looks like my kind of job. That is, if I really have to work."
Anthony laughed, "Thanks son, I'm guessing you might have to grow up sometime though."
"Too bad."
"MR. POTTER! Is it true?" one older wizard rushed in. It was one of his colleagues.
"Is what true Artemis?"
"The Prophecy? And they're Sinnients?" he asked breathlessly.
"We suspect the prophecy is true, and yes they're Sinnients. James, Lily, this is Artemis Bingint."
"Nice to meet you Mr. Bingint." Lily said politely.
"Hello Mr. Bingint." James said.
"It's wonderful to meet you two." he said, and bowed as far as his arthritis ridden back would allow him. "Thank you" he said directly to them, and left. This happened several times during the twenty minutes they were there.
Finally James asked, "What is The Prophecy?"                                                                   "I can't tell you. The right time will come, but not for many years. Albus Dumbledore will tell you when it is time. I will speak with him when you go to Hogwarts. In fact, I'll take you there myself, and we can all talk together."
"DAD!"
"James, that my final answer. I'm ready to go if you are."
"Yeah, let's go. I'm starved."
"What's new?" Lily asked.
"My shoes, I got them for Chrismas, do you like them?" James said smartly.
"They're wonderful James." Lily said sarcastically. Anthony smiled behind their backs. Yes, there were definitely great things ahead for these two. "How about we walk over to a muggle fast-food restaurant?" Anthony suggested.
"Sure!" James said excitedly.
"Do you have any suggestions Lily?" Anthony asked her.
Lily smiled, the Potters always made her feel so at home and welcome. Maybe a little more so than with her own family. Petunia didn't like her, and she couldn't talk to her parents about magic stuff. She wished for a moment she had been born into the Potter family, but immediately felt ashamed for it. She realized they were both staring at her. "Oh, sorry. It depends what you like. Hamburgers, chicken, roast beef, Mexican."
"Hamburgers!" James said.
"Hamburgers it is then, if it's okay with you, Lily."
"Fine with me. Let's see, Mcdonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, or Sonic?"
"Sonic sounds interesting." Anthony said, "Is there one in this town?"
"Yeah, I'm not exactly sure where we're at, so I don't know how far it is. Won't we have to walk?"
"Yes, she should have a muggle map." he said, pointing to a young witch. They walked over, and indeed, they did.
"We're right here." the witch said, pointing to a spot on the city map.
"Alright" Lily said, "We just need to go south three blocks."
"Let's hit the road."  They walked down the road, earning several stares as they walked. James and Anthony were both wearing wizard's robes since they were going to the Ministry. Lily was wearing a pair of jeans and a sweater along with a coat. Her hair was pulled back in a low ponytail, revealing the fine lines of her face. More than one boy stopped to stare, and one started following them.
"Does this happen often in the muggle world?" James asked.
"With me, yes. For some reason, most people don't have this problem, but I do." Lily said, genuinely unaware of why people of the opposite gender were staring at her.
"Hey, excuse me!" one shouted, Lily turned and raised an eyebrow. He started jogging towards her. She kept walking with James and Mr. Potter, wondering what was going on. She was thirteen for crying out loud! The guy looked to be maybe a year older than her and James's height, though not so good looking to her biased eyes. James had something to draw people to him.
"Hi, I'm Josh. I just had to meet you."
"I'm Lily." she said weakly, and looked at James for help.
"Hey, Lily, I was wondering if I could have your phone number."
"No."
"Why not?"
"You're a stranger." Lily said.
"No I'm not, I just introduced myself. Remember I'm Josh, you're Lily."
"No, you're a stranger. I don't know your last name, age, where you live, your parents, and to top it all off, you just walked up to me."
"I live for the moment. My last name's Rice, I'm 15, I live on Prewitt Street, and my parents are John and Belinda Rice."
"That's nice, but please leave me alone." Lily said, and continued walking with James and Anthony.
"Wait Lily. I really want to get to know you better! You don't have a boyfriend do you?"
"Yes, I happen to."
"Well, ditch him."
"NO."
"Come on Lily, we belong together."
Mr. Potter laughed. James couldn't believe this.
"LEAVE ME ALONE." Lily said.
"Is your boyfriend better looking than me? Is that it? Does he play sports? What does he have that I don't?"
"Yes, Yes, and everything."
"What?"
"I just answered your questions you moron."
"Oh, so who is this boyfriend of yours?"
"He's right here for crying out loud!" Lily yelled with anger.                                          "You mean him?" Josh asked, looking at James.
"Yeah."
"Oh. Well. I guess I'll be seeing you then."
"Probably not." Lily said and he walked off.
"How often does that happen?" James asked curiously, "Muggles sure do act strange."
"That's the first time anybody has stopped to talk to me."
"You did an excellent job handling that, Lily." Anthony said.
"Thanks Mr. Potter." Lily said, and they continued their walk to the Sonic in silence. Once they got there Lily led them to the picnic area.
"Okay, here's what you do, push this button and tell them what you want to eat."
"Lily, you probably better do that part, you're the only one with this muggle food experience." Mr. Potter said.
"I want to push the button!" James said.
"Okay, James. You can push the button. What am I supposed to order?"
Mr. Potter had been examining the menu screen. "I want an extra-long cheese coney and a medium coke."
"Got it. James?"
"Let's see, I want the brown bag special with Dr. Peppers."
"Okay, now push the button."
James excitedly pushed the button, making Lily laugh. "Welcome to Sonic, how may I take your order?"
"I want an extra-long cheese coney, a medium Coke, the brown bag special with Dr. Pepper, and a grilled chicken sandwich with no lettuce and a medium cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper."
The Sonic guy repeated the order and gave them the total.

They ate and walked back home. When they walked in the door Mr. Potter said, "I need to tell Meredith about this. Please excuse me. I've got an idea, why don't you go to the skating rink. I understand muggles enjoy ice skating."
"Sure, if James wants to." Lily said. James could tell she really wanted to go. He wasn't so sure about ice skating. It sounded dangerous.
"I'm game." he said instead.
"Let's ask Gina too." Lily said, and went to ask James's sister. Gina agreed to go, so James and Gina changed into muggle jeans and sweaters while Lily went to get her ice skates from home. They walked a mile to the skating rink, it was only about 50 outside, so it wasn't too cold. James and Gina rented their skates and they were about ready to go. Lily noticed James didn't look too good.
"What's wrong James? Sad there's no more mistletoe?"
"Yeah, I should've bought more and froze it to use throughout the year. Actually, this ice skating looks difficult."
"It's not that hard. Even Severus Snape could do it." Lily said, but didn't believe it.
"Then it can't be too hard." James said doubtfully. Gina was already out on the ice and apparently she was a natural. She was skating smoothly with some boy. Lily grabbed James's hand and led him onto the ice. He fell as soon as he put foot on the ice.
"H-h-here. Let me help you up." Lily said, trying not to laugh.
"I don't like this Lily. It's dangerous. My butt already hurts from falling, and I've only been here ten minutes."
"Relax, I'll find some mistletoe for you if you manage to skate decently."
"Really?" James asked hopefully. He would use a charm on it once he got back to Hogwarts to make it last a long time.
"Really." Lily assured him.  Lily hoisted James back up and they managed to make a full round around the rink. James kept tripping, but only fell once.
"You're doing good James." Lily said.
"Really?" he asked hopefully.
"Much better than earlier." Lily told him.
James finally was able to skate smoothly, but only after he wiped out once more. "Boy, these muggles sure are a glutton for pain, aren't they?" he asked, rubbing his wounded arm.
"Most muggles catch on a little quicker."
"Hey, I'm captain of the quidditch team, I'm a Sinnient, I'm in the top of all my classes, give me a break!"
"Relax James, I was just teasing."
"Okay. Can I pllleeeaaasssee take a break?" he pleaded.
"Yeah, but I'm going to keep skating."
"Fine with me. I'll be over there nursing my wounds." he said, motioning towards some benches.
Lily kept skating smoothly, going backwards sometimes. She hadn't fallen yet. She felt slightly conspicuous, because everybody else was skating in partners, she was the only one skating single. She wished for a minute that James would get his butt out there, but felt sorry for him and got over it. She was about ready to go sit with him when a boy came skating over to her. "Hi, I noticed you didn't have a partner either, would you be mine?"

Meanwhile, at the Potter residence....

"They're Sinnients Meredith. Both of them are. Full blooded Sinnients. Can you believe it?" Anthony asked his wife.

"No, it's hard to believe. In the history of magic there has never been two Sinnients the same age. There's only three alive right now, Marzipan Evans, James, and Lily. Not even You-Know-Who is a Sinnient."

"Say the name Meredith. Avoiding the name incites greater fear. It boggles the mind anyhow. Can you imagine? I'm astounded. Both of them. And The Prophecy. We learned about it as children in our third year at Hogwarts. Defense against the dark arts. I wonder if they'll still learn it this year? Surely not. I'll speak with Dumbledore about it."
"The Prophecy fascinated me so much when I was younger. I never imagined my son could be one of them. I have it memorized." She repeated it softly, "In the days when love is hard to find.
One great love will rise above the land.
In the days when loves seldom lasts,
We will see a love splendid and grand.
This love, it shall never tarnish,
Staying bright and new.
These lovers, powerful they may be,
Strong separated, invincible united.
When these two procreate
This child will be powerful and great.
None of these shall have a superior,
No one to stop them.
They must guide eachother,
Wandering down their own path.
Stumbling over roots and rocks,
Catching each other when they fall.
Who will these great ones be?
The heir and the mate.
The stag and the fox.
The one who supplants and the flower. Maybe I should have been more cautious choosing a name. If I would have looked up the meaning of James I would've remembered The Prophecy."
"No Meredith, you couldn't prevent The Prophecy. It's Fate. We would all be burned if you had tampered with Fate."  back at the rink.....
"Umm, I don't mind, but my boyfriend is over there, so when he recovers I'll skate with him again." Lily said hesitantly. She didn't know exactly what to say. This guy seemed so....nice.
"That's fine with me." he said, so they started skating. They weren't holding hands like other couples, just skating side by side. "What happened to him?" he asked.
"He's never been skating before, and he fell a few times. He's bruised so he wanted to sit out for awhile."
"I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Tyler Crane."
"Hi, I'm Lily Evans." she said, and waved at James as they skated past. He raised his eyebrow and waved back, but stayed stationary on the bench.  Gina and her partner came skating over to Lily and Tyler.
"So, did you finally dump my dear big brother?"
"No. He's recovering from wiping out one too many times. Is he really older than you? I never asked."
"Yeah, five minutes, and he never lets me forget it. So, why did Dad take you to work today?" Gina asked, apparently oblivious of muggles.
"We're full Sinnients." Lily said shortly.
"WHAT?" Gina shouted, and fell down out of shock.
Lily helped her up and said, "Yeah, but we're restricted until we turn 21."
"Wow, that's amazing. Oh, here comes James, and he doesn't look mad. I'm surprised." "See ya" Lily said to Tyler and skated over to James. "Hi, how are you doing?"
"I could be better. It hurts to sit down. It hurts to stand up. And my girlfriend just dumped me for another guy."
"I didn't dump you and I thought you weren't mad. When we skated by you waved."
"I was in too much pain to get up and start yelling."
"I was the only one out there without a partner, he asked me to be his!"
"Well excuse me for not being well accquainted with the muggle world. Maybe you just need a muggle boyfriend like him." James said, and with as much dignity as possible turned and started chopping along towards the edge of the ice.                                      "James, you don't mean that!" Lily cried, trying really hard not to laugh.
"And how do you know what I mean?" he sneered.
"I don't, but I don't want a muggle boyfriend. I'm a witch remember? I go to your school. Oh, why am I even arguing with you? You're gonna think what you want, and I can't stop you."
"Maybe Snape was right. Maybe a pureblood is too good for you." James said, now out of control with hurt, anger, and jealously. Both of them sucked in their breath, astonished at what he said.
"I see how you feel now. I am surprised you kept it a secret this long." Lily said quietly, tears welling in her eyes. James felt close to tears now himself.
"Awww, Lily don't cry, I'm sorry. I just-"
"I don't care Potter! Leave me alone, and I'll leave you alone. You won't have to be around a dirty little mudblood like me."
"No, Lily-hey!" James was thrown against the wall, much the same was as Kathleen was. Lily's eyes were that light green again, and she was mad. James got up and was staring daggers at her. They were close to getting into a wizard's duel when the Minister of Magic himself stepped in between them.  He jumped between them and said, "Whoa, you two. If you want to fight, it's your own business, but don't do it in front of muggles. I'm taking you home. NOW." They meekly followed him out, where he used a spell to make them along with Gina reappear at the Potter house.
"Anthony" he said, and when he appeared the Minister continued, "These two were fighting. Without wands, but a duel nonetheless. Remember what we talked about. Well, get these two sorted out, and I'm leaving." he disapparated with a PLOP!
"You two, it's important that you get along. I can't explain it at this point, but it is. Go in here, and don't come out until you make up. I'll have to get the mistletoe out if it takes too long." he joked.
"That's not funny anymore, Dad." James said calmly.
"Okay, well I will leave you two alone then." He left, leaving them alone.
"Lily, I-"
"James, I-" they both started and stopped at the same time.                                              .
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have over reacted. You were just skating, not even holding his hand. I shouldn't have said anything about your blood. I'm really ashamed about that. Please forgive me." James said.
"Is it really the way you feel about me?"
"NO! I was just mad. And I was hurt, so I wanted to hurt you too. I wanted you to feel the pain I was feeling when you skated with that guy."
"Okay, then. I guess we got that sorted out then. Friends?"
"More than friends." James answered. "Now, about that mistletoe you said you would get me if I skated smoothly? I skated smooothly. Where's the mistletoe?"
"In my room. I kept some myself. For blackmail." Lily laughed. "I'll go get it."
"Wait. Isn't it a sibling tradition to hug and make up? We just had a fight. We should kiss and make up." James said matter of factly.
"You're crazy James." Lily said. Did he ever have anything besides kissing and pranks on his mind? She gave him the kiss he requested anyhow.  Lily gave James the mistletoe as promised. That night at dinner Anthony Potter announced, "Tomorrow we will go to Church."
"WHAT?" James and Gina both asked. Neither of them had ever set foot inside a church and they said so.
"That's exactly my point. You're being raised as heathens. We could all use some help from above."
"Whatever you say Dad.." Gina said.
The next morning the Potters and Lily filed into the third from last pew at the First Christian Church. Mr. Potter's real reason was to pray for Lily and James. They needed all the help they could get. After they left he said, "It's comforting to think of a greater force, isn't it?"
"Yeah, I guess." James said.
"Lily, do you ever go to Church?" Meredith asked.
"My family attends Easter and Christmas services, that's about it."
"That's more than we usually go to."
"So, what's the change all of a sudden?" James asked.
"Special circumstances."  Five days later Gina, James, Lily, and Anthony used Floo powder to get to Hogwarts. They came out the grate in Dumbledore's office and Gina was excused to the Gryffindor tower.
"Ahh, the new Sinnients." Dumbledore said proudly, "It's wonderful to have a Sinnient back at Hogwarts. Two and both from Gryffindor nonetheless."
"Yes, and there's quite a few things I need to go over with you." Anthony told his old headmaster.
"Very well, let's start."
"First of all, they are not allowed to use their Sinnient powers until they're 21. That's the only thing that isn't very private."
"Fine. James, Lily, no magic without a wand, okay? At least not intentionally. I realize it sometimes hard for young Sinnients to control their magic when they're young. You may go to Gryffindor Tower now. Tell only your very closest friends about your recent developement."
After James and Lily left Dumbledore said, "Now Anthony, what's so urgent?"
"Several things. First of all is The Prophecy. Do you happen to remember it?"
"Yes, I memorized it as a boy. Are you wondering if James and Lily are the heir and the mate? The stag and the fox? The supplanter and the flower?"
Anthony Potter nodded.
"Well, they are. I'll be honest with you Anthony. They will fulfill The Prophecy. And I will tell Professor Evans not to teach it until they graduate from Hogwarts. Now, what else is on your mind?"
"It's what the Minister said. About them being powerful."
"Oh, yes. He has already visited me. I will carefully supervise them to make certain they do not become corrupted by the dark arts. He is right you know, when they turn 21 they well be able to shake the earth itself."

"This is a nightmare." Anthony moaned.
"Actually, it's a dream come true. Those two will play an essential role in defeating evil. I won't let them become evil. We all are goners if they do. Anthony, I don't think you honestly realize how powerful they are." Dumbledore said quietly, and with a hint of awe. "They make me look weaker than the Peter Pettigrew they hang around with. Their powers are equal to mine now and they're thirteen. They just don't have the knowledge to use them. The powers they have and will have are enough to make most turn green with envy. They will learn spells in seconds it takes others years to learn. They can put a force behind a spell to topple a strong man. For example, the imperius curse. Nobody, not even myself would be able to defy it if they tried it on me. The scariest part is the more time they spend together, the stronger they will become. They draw strength from each other. Their child, it freezes my mind to think, if he grows up around them, he will be more powerful than me at the age of 8. James and Lily are true gems. They can be blackened and ugly or polished and beautiful. Oh yes, these two will set the world on its ear one day. When they turn twenty one, yes they will be the most powerful witch and wizard to have ever walked the earth. Nobody will be able to stop them. Not me, not you, not Dementors or giants. Aurors and vampires would be crushed before them. The only thing that would stop one is the other. That is why it is so important for them to get along and be good. They are each other's only influence once they reach twenty one."                                  "Just in case something happens to me, would you please tell them about this once they turn twenty one?" Anthony asked.
"Of course, but I believe you have a much better chance making it." Dumbledore said with a smile.
"You never know. Please keep an eye on them. Goodbye, and thanks." he said, and left through the fire.
"Ah, these children suspect so little of themselves. Their greatest goal is to make it through school. They would never believe they would hold the dark lord at bay for 16 years, then destroy him completely. The Prophecy underestimated itself. These two will the greatest couple the world has ever seen." Dumbledore said to Fawkes, who cooed softly back.  James and Lily went to the Gryffindor Tower and Sirius exclaimed, "They're here!" as they walked through the portrait hole. "What took you two so long?"
"Dad brought us, he had to talk to Dumbledore." James answered.
"I heard Lily stayed with you James." Sirius said with a grin.
"Yeah."
"So, did she get her own room, or did she sleep with you?" Sirius asked.
"SIRIUS! You pervert! Get out of here!" Lily yelled.
"Is that a yes?"
"It's a NO!"
"Fine, let's see, I also heard that James bought out the mistletoe store and that you two had your first real fight as a couple. And umm, let's see, and that you're full Sinnients now."
"You sure heard a lot of stuff Sirius." James said.
"All from your dear sister."
"I'll go talk to her. You tell Sirius." Lily said, and he knew what she was talking about. This was supposed to be a secret.  Lily told Gina about the secret, and she agreed not to tell anyone. James also told Remus and Sirius about it, and they promised not to tell. He also told them about the entire break. They came up with a wicked prank to pull on Lily. The next morning she woke up to a bed full of mistletoe. There was mistletoe hanging eveywhere in the dorm.
"JAMES POTTER!" she yelled.
"Yes my sweet?" he asked, sitting on her bed.
"How'd you get here so fast?"
"I was waiting on you to wake up. Don't you like my use of the duplicating spell?"
"Not particularly. I need to get dressed now."
"I don't mind." James said.
"I do. Leave."
"Don't I even get my mistletoe kiss?"
"Yeah, I guess." Lily gave him his mistletoe kiss (how could she resist?). Just as they were kissing the curtains were flung open by Gina and Adriana, who had a camera in their hand. They snapped a quick picture of the couple.
"Hey!" James yelled.
"Sorry big brother. Black mail." Gina said.
"Nuh uh. Give it back. What are you doing spying on us anyhow?"
"There's a forest growning in here, particularly around Lily's bed. We had to check this out. We brought the camera along just in case."
"GINA! Give me the picture."
"Sure. Duplicito!" Gina said, copying the picture dozens of times, and giving one of them to James.
"What are you going to do with them?" Lily asked.
"Well, we could hang them up in the common room. Or in the great hall. Maybe we should just keep them for black mail."
"How about you give them back. I could always tell Mum and Dad about the guy you were skating with at the rink." James threatened.
Gina paled, "Then I would have to tell them about how you were found in Lily's bed this morning. Picture included."
"Gina, please give them back." Lily said.
"Sorry Lily. I don't have anything against you, but I want to embarass my dear brother."
"I'm innocent in this situation. I'll be the one harmed. I'll have 50 raging Hufflepuffs coming after me."
"That's a chance we'll have to take." Gina said.  As one Lily and James jumped at Gina and Adriana, trying to wrestle the pictures away from them. James managed to get them away from his sister, but Lily was still working on Adriana. Adriana ran out the door, forcing Lily to follow her. They ran around the common room several times, then luckily Sirius and Remus came down.
"Stop her!" Lily shouted. They blocked Adriana's path, allowing Lily to catch her. "Give me the pictures."
"No."
"Yes."
Sirius grabbed them from Adriana and started looking at them with interest.
"I can see why you wanted these back." Sirius said knowingly.
"Give them back Sirius." Lily said quietly. Remus had to look now, and looked at Lily and started laughing.
"There's no way I am giving these back. Only a fool would turn up such a juicy piece of blackmail."
"You're our friend, Sirius." Lily said.
"SIRIUS! Give them here!" James said, running down the stairs from the girls dorm.
"Did Jamesey finally decide to come out of the girls dorm?" Sirius asked.
"Yes, now give me the pictures."                                                                                        "I'm definitely keeping these pictures. Just in case I need to use them sometime." Sirius said craftily. Lily and James once again sprang on the photo possessor, this time Sirius. They chased him around the common room, and since it was two against one, Lily and James finally got the pictures. Remus wouldn't help Sirius. Once Lily got the pictures she immediately threw them in the fire.
"Can we go to breakfast now?" Remus asked pitifully.
"Sure Remus, we wouldn't want you to starve to death." Lily said, playfully swinging her arm around his shoulder. James narrowed his eyes at Remus.
"You don't suppose he wants her back, do you?" he asked Sirius.
"James. You are so paranoid when it comes to Lily. You could easily run her off with your paranoia." Sirius said with exasperation.
"Well, I can't believe any sane person wouldn't love Lily." James said.
"You dont't love her do you?! Sirius asked with alarm, "You're 13. You're too young to be seriously involved."
"No, no, NO! I DON'T love her. No way." James said. He was appalled at the thought. He wondered how Lily felt about him.
Remus turned to look at him, "I'm surprised you haven't threatened to kill me already."
"I'm starting a new program. Calmness and trust. I'm going to stay calm and relaxed." James said.
"Yeah, right." Remus said with amusement.                                                                         "The day you're relaxed James, is the day I dye my hair." Lily said.
"What color?" James asked with interest.
"I'll tell you what, if you managed to stay calm the entire day, I'll let you pick the color. If you don't, I get to dye your hair."
"Deal." James said. This would be a piece of cake.
His patience was tried as soon as he walked past the Slytherin table.
"Hey Potty, I heard your girlfriend spent the vacation with you." Malfoy said in a tone that was clearly unflattering. James chose to ignore him. He actually managed to get through the entire day without getting mad.
That night they were sitting in the common room. "Let's see, I made it they whole day without getting upset. Now what color should I dye your hair, Lily? Blonde? Maybe Black? There's always brown." James wondered. Lily was relieved, anything as long as it was a natural hair color.
"Then again, maybe not. I personally like blue. Green would be pretty with your eyes, but that's Slytherin colors, so that will never do. Oh, so many choices, only a color at a time. Too bad."
"You could always stripe her hair." Sirius suggested. Lily was mortified. BLUE?
"Excellent idea Sirius! Blue and blond striped hair. I love it!" James exclaimed with delight. Lily groaned. This would be bad.  "NOT STRIPED!" Lily said.
"Yes striped. Blue and blond striped to be exact." James said, "So, so we need a charm or dye or what?"
"Some girls probably ought to be able to find us some blond hair dye, and I have some blue." Sirius said. "I'll go ask some. Fifteen minutes later he came back with a box of dark platinum blond hair dye and light blue dye. James read the instructions and announced, "Okay, the way I see it we need to dye her hair blond, then put this blue stuff in it."
"NO. That stuff is permanent. My hair will have to grow out to become the natural color again. I won't let you." Lily said.
"You're right. That's a very bad idea." James agreed.
"We could just put a temporary charm on it." Remus suggested.
"Right. Okay, we need a sink, gloves, combs, and Lily." James said. He transfigured an end table into a sink complete with running water and tied a blanket around Lily's neck so her robes wouldn't get stained. Remus had run down to the kitchens and got a refillable catsup bottle, which they mixed the hair dye in. James put the gloves on and started putting the dye on Lily's hair. After about ten minutes he said, "My God, this stuff reeks."
"How do you think I feel Potter?" Lily asked irritably.
"Don't whine just because you lost a bet. You're acting like a sissy." James said.
"A sissy huh? Well how about you let me dye your hair."
"No way." he said, and continued putting the dye in her hair. Remus put the temporary charm on it, and they let it set for twenty minutes. While they were James said, "You know, we need to dye her eyebrows too."
"NO." Lily said.
"Yes. Blue will be perfect."
"I'll let you make them blond. Not blue."
"Fine, blonde it is then." James said, then dyed her eyebrows.
After they washed the dye out Lily dried it with her hair drier, and it didn't look too bad. Blond wasn't exactly her color, but it could look a lot worse.  Then James eagerly started adding two inch horizontal sapphire stripes to her hair. Lily was slightly embarassed because it was James's signature color.
"James, you're enjoying this was too much. Are you sure you're not a gay hair stylist?" Lily asked.
"I MOST CERTAINLY AM NOT GAY!" James said indignantly, and Sirius and Remus had a hard time staying under control.
"Fine, if you say so." Lily said placatingly, trying not to laugh too hard. She didn't want her stripes to be crooked.
An hour later she emerged with blond hair with blue stripes. It kind of looked strange down, but when it was styled differently it looked kind of neat. She would have to try this more often.

The next morning Lily braided her hair in two French braids, and loved the effect. She really liked her new color. When the other girls woke up they asked with alarm, "What happened?"
"I lost a bet once again, and James dyed my hair."
"Oh, it actually looks good." Adriana said.
"Yeah, it's amazing, considering my brother did it." Gina said.
"You ought to give James more credit. He's really smart." Adriana said, then blushed as she realized what she had said. With Lily in the room no less. Lily pretended not to hear her and walked down to the common room.
Just to let you know how other girls felt about James, I'll let you spy on them in the various girl's dormitories.
Gryffindor third years...
"Can you believe James actually dyed her hair?"
"No, but my brother's an idiot."
"Gina, you're an idiot. Your brother is a God. He's amazing. Cute, smart, funny, athletic, cute, rich, cute."
"Whatever."
"I wish he would break up with Lily."
Gryffindor second years....
"James Potter is the hottest guy in this school" giggles
"I know, I would sell my soul if he would ask me out."
"Maybe I ought to find some crazy glue. I'll glue myself to him."
"His girlfriend's too smart. She'll be able to unstick it."
"I know, she's really nice and all, but I want James."
Hufflupuff 7th years ....
"James Potter has got to be the dreamiest guy to ever walk the halls of Hogwarts."
"Scratch that, ever to walk the earth."
"He's a third year you nitwits."
"He's hot, who cares. He looks old for his age."
"He's better looking than your boyfriend, you're just jealous of Lily."

Hufflepuff third years.....
"Three classes! Three classes! That's all we have with him. What a rip off."
"No kidding.  We were really jipped this year.  Too bad we're not in Gryffindor. Especially if we were in Lily's dorm. We could pretend to be her friends, and see James a lot because of it."
"I know. She is the luckiest girl on earth."
"I wish I was going out with James Potter. Ah just think, someday my name could be Margory Potter."                                                                                                      Ravenclaw third years....
"Can you believe how good James looked in his quidditch robes the other day?"
"I know" sigh "They were designed with him in mind."
"I nearly swoon when he walks by. I can't help it."
"Oh, his hair. It's so untidy, but soooo cute."
"And his eyes. Sapphires. He looks good in that color too."
"I heard rumors that that's the colors his bed set is."
"From who?"
"I'm not telling!"                                                                                                           Slytherin third years....
"Too bad Potter's in Gryffindor."
"I know. I wish we didn't have to fight with Gryffindors."
"Slytherin is ten times better."
"Get real! They've got James Potter, Sirius Black, and Remus Lupin. We've got Lucius Malfoy and Severus Snape. Woo freaking hoo."
"Hey."
"I don't care if Lucius is your boyfriend, he's a wimp compared to James."
"I know. He's a hunk and a half."
Now, let's spy on the guys.
Gryffindor third years...
"I can't believe you actually dyed her hair."
"I'm surprised she didn't get mad."
"Aww, she can't live without me you guys."
"Yeah right. I happen to recall when she wanted to kill you."
"YOU DYED HER HAIR? Her beautiful red hair?"
"It's a crime"
"What's it to you? She's my girlfriend."
Gryffindor fifth years....
"You know, Lily Evans, she is one of the best looking girls in this school."
"If not THE best."
"No kidding. She's better looking than some of the 7th years."
"That James Potter though, he's got every girl in this school wrapped around his finger, except for Lily."
"Yeah, I know. She's the only one that stands up to him. A mind of her own."
Slytherin third years....
"You know, one day Lily Evans will be mine."
"Sure Snape. You've said that for the past three years."
"NO, one day she will see Potter for the strutting little moron he is."
Ravenclaw 4th years....
"You know, Lily has got to be one of the prettiest girls I've ever seen."
"Ohhhh, I know. She doesn't pay any of us any mind though."
"The only guy she sees is James Potter."
"Aggravating isn't it. I wish he would dump her. I'd offer a shoulder to cry on."
"He won't dump her because she's the only one who doesn't fawn over him like a besotted little idiot. She has pride, something most girls in this school are lacking."                          Lily met James in the common room, and smiled, "Don't you think my hair looks cute?"
"Stunning." James said.
"Why thank you." she said.
"Wow, Lils, you're in a really good mood today." Sirius said with surprise.
"I know. I like my hair. Thanks for dying it for me." she said cheerily, and kissed each of them on the cheek. "Are you ready for breakfast?" she asked, and not waiting for an answer, skipped out of the room.
"She's on something." Sirius muttered as they followed her.
"She's merely infatuated with me." James said arrogantly, but Lily heard him.
"Sure James. Sometimes I don't know why I go out with you." Lily said teasingly. James took her hand and said, "I'm an amazingly good kisser."
"Oh, you two, break it up!" Sirius wailed.

As they walked into the great hall, a silence decended. Lily's hair was a real attention getter. Lily flashed a white smile, and the entire male population of Hogwarts(excluding teachers) smiled back. A dark frown settled on James's features. Lily led the way to their usual seats. Most of the room either started staring at her or rushed out of the room. Most of the people who rushed out of the room were either going to tell their friends about her new hair color or make a trip to the owlery. At eight o'clock about twenty owls came swooping in for Lily. She opened each one, and here's some of the stuff they said:
Dearest Lily,
I've dreamt of you for ages.
Steven

Lily,
My sun rises and sets on you,
Joshua

Lil,
Marry me,
Ricoli

My love,
You're an angel, I can't hide my feelings any longer,
Gregory

"Good grief, what is wrong with people today?" Lily asked out loud. She looked up and saw half the people in the hall staring at her.
"What's all those letters for?" Sirius asked.
"They're love letters. Can you believe it? I've got five marriage proposals. People are going crazy today."
"WHAT?" James asked.
"They're love letters. Can you believe it? I've got five marriage proposals. People are going crazy today."
"Some guys have proposed to you?" he asked in a cold voice.
"Yeah, I don't know what's going on."
"Lily, I can't believe you! One guy just isn't enough for you is it?" James asked in an outrage.
"James, calm down. What is your problem? You go hysterical if somebody looks at me!" Lily said.
"That's not the point! There's guys at this school that's just waiting on me to turn my back so they can snap you up! You're like a little lamb being prowled upon by the big bad wolf pack."
"I can take care of myself thank you very much Mr. Potter." Lily said indignantly.
"Well, maybe I need to defend what's mine!"

"Oh, my gosh, I can't believe you just said that!" Lily hollered. Their fight turned into a yelling match, both of them standing.
"Why not? Somebody needs to look after you."
"Believe it or not, you're not my parents."
"I don't want to be, I pity them."
"Well at least my parents didn't raise a hellion like you!"
"Don't bring my parents into this!"
"Well you brought mine into it, two can play this game!"
"You think you're so smart Lily!"
"Unlike you Potter, I really am, I don't just think!"
"Oh, that's cute."
"I'm a lot cuter than you."
"I admit it Lily! You're hot! But you have the worst temper I've ever seen!"
"ME? You're the one who brought my integrity under examination!"
"I did not!"
"You did too. Some people send me letters, and you get all huffy about it and say I'm trying to cheat on you."
"I didn't say that."
"You didn't have to. You implied it!"                                                                        "WELL I'M SORRY, OK? I'M SORRY! I was wrong! Is that what you wanted to hear?"
"YES"
"I just couldn't help it! I was mad!"
"WELL MAYBE YOU SHOULD THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK!"
"WHY ARE YOU STILL SHOUTING?"
"THE SAME REASON YOU ARE!"
"I'M SHOUTING BECAUSE YOU ARE!"
"WELL, I'M SHOUTING BECAUSE YOU'RE SUCH AN INCONSIDERATE JERK!"

"OH, I'M AN INCONSIDERATE JERK? WELL, I HATE TO THINK OF WHAT YOU ARE THEN!"
"YOU, RUDE, POMPOUS, LITTLE BONEHEAD!"
"OH, RESORTING TO NAME CALLING ARE WE?"
"TOOK YOU AWHILE TO CATCH ON!"
"WOULD YOU TWO KISS AND MAKE UP ALREADY?" Somebody shouted.
"You act like you're already married!" another yelled.  Lily plopped down on her chair at the table and started eating. James followed suite.
"Come on, you can't end a fight like that!" one guy shouted.
"Not after all the trouble we went to!"
"WHAT?" Lily asked
