*Note* Okay for you people who like these little things (~~~) they are in this chapter and it means the changing of a scence. Just for you. Now I do have to do some explaining for this chapter is a flashback within a flashback. Confusing I know but I figure that if you aren't confused than I am not doing my job correctly.
Also some people have questioned the fact that I didn't let Madam Pomfrey give Hermione drugs. Here is my reasoning: she is a witch giving birth to hopefully a witch or wizard. So in my head these two factors mixed with the pain med. could hurt her or the baby. Yes muggle mothers use drugs but they also don't know their child is magical and they themselves aren't magical so the risk is much lower to complete nothingness that they have the potential to harm the child. For them it is something normal but for Witches and wizards they use magic and potions to heal themselves so I figured that since you can't always control the amount of pain relief that is administrated to the patient that it was much better off that she get none at all.
Oh and please, people, cut down the drama. I would never kill Hermione or would I. Now that you have got me thinking…on with the story!
The lavatory was where so many things took place, though not many people would think so because no one had experienced anything of significance in a lavatory. She had several moments in her life that held a special place in her heart, and all took place in a lavatory. Well, most of them anyway.
She laid on the cold hard floor of the lavatory where her most important friendship had started. Harry and Ron saved her from a mountain troll that they had locked in with her unknowingly, of course. Not many people came into this lavatory after that had happened. Many said it still smelled like troll, but she knew that wasn't true. So it somehow became her lavatory, the place she went to when she just needed a moment to collect herself.
Now this lavatory held more importance than just being the place where a friendship started, but it was also the place where Harry told her he loved her. True, when she thought back on it, it wasn't very romantic, but it was classic Harry.

(I hope you people are happy now!!!!!!)
It was two weeks until Halloween, October the 17th if anyone was wondering, and she had just finished all her homework. So the weekend for her was now as free as can be. She was now free to discover what it was that Harry was hiding.
True she didn't have any concrete information to go on, but one look in his eyes and she could tell there was something haunting him. Ron kept telling her to leave him alone he told her Harry was still grieving over Sirius. She knew that wasn't it; it was something that had Harry in a no win situation.
Casually she flopped down in a seemingly empty corridor, with nothing but a gargoyle in it, and waited. Any minute now Harry was due to get out of his occlumency and legilimency lessons. Carefully she took in her surroundings and gathered her thoughts. If she was going to do this now would be the best time.
“Okay,” she said to herself. “I can do this. All I have to do is rip into him like I rip into Ron. I mean how hard can that be?” Just as she finished questioning herself she heard the sound of Dumbledore's gargoyle moving aside.
Harry jolted off of the moving staircase and Hermione rushed over to catch him. As always he was dead tired after his sessions with Dumbledore. She straightened him up and looked him over. His hair was much messier than normal, his green eyes were dull behind his glasses, and his face was a nice pale color. Sighing, she threw one of his arms over her shoulder, and started helping him down the corridor.
“Hermione?” He whispered. “What are you doing here? I thought it was Ron's turn to pick me up.” They had implemented a schedule so that one of them would always be there to help Harry back to the common room.
“He has detention tonight. Remember? He cursed Malfoy for something or another.” She told him and he started to laugh as if he remember what Ron did. “Come on I have to get you to a lavatory so you can wash up.” She started pushing him down the corridor. They reached her lavatory about five minutes later.
She sat on the cold stone floor of the lavatory as he washed up. He splashed cold water on his face so many times she thought he might be trying to drowned himself, but once he was done he looked much better than before. His eyes were still dull though and that worried her.
“Hermione why are you still in the boys lavatory. What if someone walked in?” He said when he spotted her on the ground gazing up at him.
She held back a chuckle as she was instantly reminded of her second year at Hogwarts. They made the polyjuice potion in a girl's lavatory and Ron and Harry were perplexed at the thought of making it in a lavatory. But no one went into that lavatory either for it was haunted by Moaning Myrtle.
Gently she rubbed her temples trying to fight back the headache that was coming on. “Harry no boys are going to enter this lavatory.” He stared at her as if her words were sinking in very slowly.
“What is it with you and girls lavatories?” He questioned her.
“Um…girl.” For once she didn't have to string together a long complicated answer for his question. It could all be summed up in one word. She was a girl. “You don't recognize this place do you?” Harry looked around and shrugged his shoulders. She suddenly felt so angry at him. How could he forget this place when it meant so much to her? “This is where it all began.”
“Where what began? Hermione this is making no sense to me?” He sunk down to the floor beside her.
She immediately put aside his questions for later. Instead she took a deep breathe and with one last look at him she started her speech that she had memorized. “Harry, what went wrong? You barely talk to me anymore. You don't come to me for advice or even glance at me for help. Instead you just go off in a corner and sulk. I'm worried about you.” Granted her speech wasn't very long but it was the best she could come up with.
Her gazed was fixed on the boy sitting that was sitting tensely beside her. “I don't always need to go to you to be able to solve my problems.” He snapped at her. Suddenly he stood up as if glaring down at her was something to brag about. But she stood up to her fists clenched in anger.
“Jeez, Hermione, you think you know it all, don't you? Well guess what? You don't. I've been getting along just fine without your help!” He was beginning to yell at her.
“Just fine? You call this just fine?” She said gesturing at him. “Look at yourself Harry. You look like you don't sleep and you barely get your homework done. You don't pay attention in class. And you don't talk to anyone anymore.” She was trying to make him see, trying to open his eyes so that he would start living again.
“They are my problems so just stay out of them.” He growled at her and for the first time she noticed what a compromising situation she was in. Her back was up against the wall and Harry was standing inches in front of her. Their faces were just centimeters from touching and green eyes held her brown ones.
“How can I stay out of them if you won't even let me in?” The question lingered in the air for a few seconds before Harry finally spoke and when he did his voice was hoarse and full of emotion.
“I'm not going to let the one thing I love most in this world get hurt.” And with that he turned and walked out of the lavatory. Hermione stayed rooted to that spot for several minutes. She kept hearing his words echoing in his head. He loved her? It was just too much for her to take in, how the hell was she suppose to deal with this?
“Harry!” She shouted as she burst out of the lavatory. She started running down the halls looking for any sign of his mop head of hair. She reached the entrance to the entrance hall and shouted his name again. The doors to the Great hall were open and everyone stopped what they were doing to pay attention to her.
Finally she spotted him standing in the open doorway to the Great Hall. “Stop right there!” She shouted pulling out her wand. “If you take one more step I will hex you.” He slowly turned around and faced her. “Now it is your turn to listen to me. Where do you think that you can get away with telling me that and then leaving? Did you just expect me to do nothing?”
Harry started walking toward her. “NO!” she shouted. “Don't come near me.” Her emotions were going in overdrive and so was her mind. Tears were streaming down her face and she wished he would stop looking at her. As she cried she felt a hand enclose around her wrist bring her wand hand down. “You can't just say you love me and then leave.” She sobbed out at him. “Because when you left I never got the chance to say it back.”
Neither was quite sure who started it but they suddenly found themselves kissing. She melted into him and as suddenly as it started it stopped. She pulled back as if the sudden realization of who she was kissing hit her dead on. “Harry, I love you I do but I can't trust you.” She turned and started walking toward the main staircase. When she reached the first landing she turned back and saw him standing in the same spot she left him. “You are hiding too much from me.”

A beeping noise erupted Hermione from the thoughts of that night. It had been one of the best moments of her life and one of the worst at the same time. But now that was all behind them, for they were married now. It was the beginning of May and she found herself in that bathroom waiting on some important news.
She looked at the timer which was standing right in front of her face. It was early morning and no one was up as far as she knew. This was the perfect time to find out. Now as she straightened herself up from the ball she had curled up in, she thought that maybe her plan hadn't been thought out well enough.
“What if it says yes? What do I tell Harry? I'm only sixteen. I don't want to be a mother at sixteen. Hell I don't want to be a mother for another five years. This wasn't in the plan.” She was starting to panic and when she panicked she paced. Finally she pulled herself together and picked up the directions. “Line is positive and dot is negative.” She mumbled to herself and then went to the sink counter where her pregnancy stick laid.
Quickly she snatched it up and looked down at it. For about a minute she stared at the inanimate object and than laughter erupted from her. Laughter that was quickly followed by an onslaught of tears, she sunk down to the floor knowing her life had definitely changed.
“Ms. Granger I assume everything is not alright?” a voice came from the doorway. Her blurry eyes made out the shape of Albus Dumbledore.
“Professor, what are you doing in the girl's lavatory?” She tried to compose herself but she couldn't stop sniffling.
“I was just headed down to breakfast when I heard crying and decided to investigate on what was going on.” He said coming farther into the room. “May I be of assistance to you?”
“I don't know what to do? I don't even know how it came to this.” She was starting to cry again and she was trying so hard not to. “Harry and I aren't ready for this. We are still in school. It's going to interfere with classes and homework…Oh my god. What if he doesn't want it?” She just came to a shocking realization. What if Harry didn't want their child? They had never discussed children before and now they were going to have one. Correction she was going to have one and he was the father.
“Miss Granger I think I you should go see Poppy she can give you an examination to make sure everything is okay.” Albus being the wise man he was knew instantly what was wrong with the girl sitting in front of him, though he was at a complete loss as how to help her. True, he had no children of his own so he had no real experience handle this sort of situation but he would be damned if one of his brightest was going to fall on his watch.
“It's Potter.” She mumbled at him. He apologized to her and asked her to repeat what she just said. Apparently his hearing wasn't very good at the moment. She snorted at him and then said, “It's Potter now. Remember?”
“Ah yes. How could I forget? Beautiful ceremony I preformed. Wasn't it? Now how about we go done to breakfast and get something to eat. Then afterwards we'll go see Poppy and have you check out. That way we can make sure the little tyke is okay.”
He reached out his hand to help her up and she gave him her left one. He noticed the two rings sitting on her ring finger and silently admired them. Her wedding band was simple that. Made out of white gold with two H's engraved on it and her engagement ring was also made with white gold. But instead of being plain it was adorned with diamonds. It was a delicate engagement ring with a round cut center diamond amongst baguette and round diamonds. Stunningly beautiful, some would say almost as beautiful as the girl who wore it.
By the time they reached the Great Hall for breakfast it was at its busiest time. People were rapidly filling up the empty spaces and the scent of food made her feel sick. She fought down the urge to run to the nearest lavatory and then scanned the Gryffindor table for Harry but didn't see him.
“Now don't forget to stay here until breakfast is done. Then to the hospital wing we go.” His kind gentle voice said.
“Thank you, Professor. I'm not going to tell Harry just yet. Not until I get it confirmed by Madame Pomfrey and decide what I want to do myself.” She said as they walked into the hustle and bustle.
“It will be our little secret then.” With a smile and a wave he made his way to his seat beside Professor McGonagall and she had a sudden thought. Instead of going to her regular seat she followed him to the staff table. “Did I forget something?” He asked her.
“No Professor. Well, yes in a way you did.” And suddenly she hugged him. She didn't think anyone had hugged the aging headmaster before. Well yes, someone probably had, just not in the Great Hall. When she pulled away she smiled at him, “I would like Professor McGonagall to go with us too.” And with that she left it up to him to divulge the information and made her way to her usual seat.
It felt like she had only been sleeping for a minute but she opened her eyes to find Harry sitting in the chair next to her bed and a crib on the other side. The baby, she thought when her eyes fell upon the crib. Carefully as not to wake Harry she tried to climb out of bed but her body felt like it had been pumped full of liquid. Luckily she didn't have to wait a moment longer.
“Oh good your awake. Gave Mr. Potter quite a scare until we told him that you just needed the rest, labor is after all very exhausting.” The stern yet gentle voice of Madame Pomfrey came from the left side of her. She turned her head to see the matron of medicine and then motioned to the crib. “Yes, I know you want to see the little tyke.” She walked over to the crib and gently picked up what looked like a bundle of blankets.
Hermione sat up so she could hold her new born child. “Hermione Potter I would like to introduce you to the new addition to the family. You are now the mother of a beautiful baby girl.” The nurse transferred the sleeping infant into her waiting arms. Tears of joy sprang into Hermione's eyes as she they took in the sight of her daughter. She gazed at her and then looked up at the nurse. “Don't worry only Harry and I have held her. And no one else has seen her but Minerva. Though I won't say the others haven't tried.”
“She did get her father's hair.” Hermione said as she looked down at her daughter and was filled with so much love she thought she might burst.
