Prologue
His eyes shone as he stared out towards the horizon. A bright red glow surrounded him, pulsing as if filled with his anger, a lone beacon in the night.
Suddenly, another larger figure appeared, emerging from the outskirts of the clearing, and, as if a signal; the glow faded leaving a silent darkness. Only the silver mist of the moon guided the second figure now, the frost-ridden ground crunching beneath his feet.
“What news-?”
“Potter. He has…”
“Silence! Do not speak of him!” For a few minutes silence echoed, but then, “You know what we must do.”
“But, aren’t you…”
“No. I am strong. My pain will make this revenge sweeter.” Harsh laughter came from both men.
“Very well.”
“Until the meeting then. Do not forget where your loyalties lie. There is still a chance.”
The larger man quickly bowed his head. He placed his hand on the other man’s shoulder for barely a second, before turning to walk away.
The red aura returned to engulf the figure for a few minutes, whilst he collected this new information. It isn’t over…
