Chapter Seven
A/N: I'm SO SORRY for abandoning you guys for months! I was just so caught up with everything that I forgot all about my writing. That's not going to happen again, I promise. After reading the seventh harry potter book (which I loved) I am not inspired to write again. I'll be updating often again, so don't abandon me!
"I'm so glad you're here," Heaven told her sister, Capella, happily. "I love you so much, Cap. Seriously. You have no idea how lonely I get at home without you." Heaven pulled her sister into a tight hug, and Capella laughed softly.
"I've missed you a lot also, Heaven." Capella pulled out her eyeliner and started applying it. Heaven smirked at her sister.
"You don't have to make yourself so pretty for Darien. He likes you for you, not for your eyeliner." Capella finished applying her makeup and gave Heaven a look. She raised her eyebrow.
"You don't understand how it works, Heaven. You've never really been in a real relationship." Capella looked at Heaven and realized that her sister looked really hurt. Capella bit her lip. "I didn't mean it in a bad way, Heaven." Heaven shrugged, lowering her gaze.
"I know I'm not as pretty as you, Cap, nor am I as fun to be with. But seriously, there's no reason to rub it in my face that you have a perfect boyfriend."
Capella looked seriously offended now. "Heaven, I did not say it like that. I was just saying that when you're older, your relationships will be more serious. You do realize you're three years younger than me."
Heaven glared at her sister. "You know, I may not have a boyfriend, but at least I know who my father is." Capella's jaw dropped, and Heaven knew she had hit a nerve. Capella bit her lip and looked down, and for a moment, Heaven thought her twenty-year old sister was going to cry.
"Get out of my room," Capella whispered softly. Heaven bit her lip. She hadn't intended her comment to be so mean. She didn't know her sister would take it so personally. Obviously, not knowing her father was a touchy subject.
"I love you, Cap, and I'm sorry," Heaven whispered, really meaning it. Capella ignored her sister, on the verge of tears.
"I said, get out of my room," Capella repeated, her voice sounded more deadly. Heaven bit her lip, and although she wanted to apologize some more to her sister, she knew it was wise to listen to her.
"Sorry," she mumbled, letting herself out of the room. Capella heard a bang, and knew that Heaven had left. Swallowing, Capella let her tears fall. She had never been so miserable in a long time. Tears rolled down her cheeks, and she sniffed loudly. A few minutes later, Capella heard a knock at the door.
"Go away, Heaven," she sniffed. She continued to cry, burying her head in her hands. The door swung open and Darien came in.
"Capella!" he gasped when he saw her crying, "What happened?" He hurried over towards her and pulled her into a hug. Capella allowed him to comfort her, but made no attempt to dry her tears.
"It's nothing," she answered, trying to stop the tears from falling. "Really, Darien, please just go outside and have fun. I don't want to get you down."
"Capella, you're my girlfriend. I'm not leaving until you tell me what's wrong. You can't tell me to leave, either, because we're sharing this room." Darien ran his fingers through Capella's hair, and gave her a small, comforting smile.
"I just… I just can't believe I'm twenty and don't know who my father is," Capella sobbed, wiping her eyes with her sleeves. Darien kissed her cheek softly, and hugged her again.
"Capella, don't worry about it. It doesn't matter who your biological father is. Your real father is Ryu Zhang, and that's all you need to know." Capella nodded, but wasn't so sure. There would always be some part of her that felt distant towards Ryu. But who would abandon their kid? Did her father not know that her mother had a kid? Was that way he had stayed away for twenty long years?
"Thanks for being here for me, Darien," Capella whispered softly. She rested her head on his shoulder and kissed his neck softly.
"I'm always here for you when you need to talk," Darien smiled, "And I'm here when you don't want to talk." Capella laughed weakly and wrapped her arms around her boyfriend. They had only been going out for three months, but Capella still felt amazingly close to him. She had a feeling Darien felt the same way.
Capella bit her lip. "I… I love you." She swallowed, looking into her boyfriend's eyes. She had finally said what she had been feeling for weeks. Capella was unable to breathe as she continued to stare at Darien with wide and hopeful eyes.
"Capella, I love you, too." He smiled softly, and Capella felt a wave of relief. She pressed her lips against his.
"I'm sorry I was such a wreck," Capella apologized, drying away her tears. She rubbed her eyes and then ran a hand through her hair. Darien shook his head and kissed her cheek.
"No need to apologize. I'm here for you."
For the first time, Capella felt like she had someone to trust.

"Er hi Serenity."
Serenity took a sip of tropical punch and then craned her neck to see who had called her name. She smiled as she spotted James in the distance. It was amazing how much he looked like Sirius.
"James!" she waved, her eyes brightening, "Come sit with me over here." James came over obediently and took a seat next to her. She offered him her punch, and he took a quick sip.
"Is Sirius around?" Serenity couldn't help but ask. James gave her an offended kind of look.
"I don't know where Sirius is," James grumbled, giving Serenity an annoyed and irritated look. Serenity's eyebrows lowered in confusion. She decided not to bring up Sirius again today.
"I'm really hungry," Serenity announced suddenly, holding her stomach. She ate a gigantic amount, and her parents always said she took after her father in that aspect. Surprisingly, she was fairly skinny despite her large consumption of food.
"Aren't you always," James snorted, lightening up a bit. Serenity smiled secretly to herself.
"Care to join me?" Serenity asked him.
"Not unless you join me in the pool first!" James laughed. Before Serenity knew what was happening, James picked her up and flung her into the pool. Serenity's face went underneath the waves and she resurfaced moments later, gasping for air. She gave James an irritated sort of look.
"I was enjoying my drink!" she exclaimed. "Help me out of the pool." James offered his hand, and Serenity pulled him into the pool as well. James let out a scream as he fell into the pool with a gigantic splash. He splashed her and she squealed. She splashed him back, and then began to tickle him.
"Stop…tickling…me…" James gasped in between his laughter. Serenity refused to stop.
"That's what you get for pushing me into the pool, Potter!" She continued to tickle him for a few more minutes before giving in to his pleading looks. Her gaze caught his and they stared at each other for a few moments.
Serenity felt something within her that she hadn't felt before. Some part of her was glowing, and it was almost as if there was a connection between her and James. Her heart hammered quickly, and she didn't dare breathe.
The moment continued for another minute before Serenity spotted a certain someone. She looked away from James. "Sirius!" she cried out, waving frantically at James' brother. James bit his lip and tried his best not to look disappointed or hurt by Serenity.
Sirius looked towards the two of them. He forced a small, friendly smile and then waved back. "Hey Serenity. Hey James." Serenity beamed, unable to contain her excitement. Her eyes twinkled, and her smile was embarrassingly large.
"Why don't you join us in the pool?" she called out to Sirius. He shook his head, and disappointment fell over Serenity's face.
"I'm actually a bit busy," Sirius admitted, "But I'll take a rain check on it. Thanks for the offer." Serenity pouted. James took a deep breath and tried very hard not to explode with envy. It was typical of his brother to ruin one good moment he had with Serenity. James sighed. It wasn't as if he could blame Sirius… it wasn't actually his fault that Serenity was ga-ga over him. Sirius was everything James was not. He was more athletic, definitely better looking, and older.
"Okay." James had never seen Serenity look so disappointed. The sparkle had left her eyes and she was hanging her head. Sirius looked like he felt terrible.
"I'll sit with you at dinner," Sirius promised, "We can talk then." The sparkle was immediately back in Serenity's eye. She gave Sirius a dazzling smile.
"See you at dinner," she promised, "Bye!"
Sirius disappeared out of sight, and Serenity turned back towards James, a dreamy expression on her face. She smiled at him.
"Your brother is so dreamy," she muttered, smiling slightly. "Do you think you could ask him if he likes me? Please James?"
"Uh…" Heck no. James bit his lip and gave Serenity a small smile. He didn't want to hurt her feelings, but there was no way he was going to ask Sirius that. He already knew that Sirius thought of Serenity as nothing more than a friend. There was no way he was going to show feelings for a girl three years younger than him.
"Please?" Serenity begged. "For me?"
James groaned. How could he say no to that perfect face? "I guess," James finally answered, defeated, "But you're going to have to make it up to me." Serenity leaned in and kissed his cheek. James felt warmth tingle throughout his body. He bobbed up and down in the water, momentarily frozen. Serenity gave him a small smile and then climbed out of the pool. She grabbed a towel and then began drying her hair. James continued to stare at her.
"Thanks again," she gushed. "I'll see you at dinner. Don't forget to ask Sirius!" James watched her disappear from sight, grinning like an idiot. Oh God, he couldn't ask Sirius. What was he going to do?

"Victoria, are you ready for dinner yet?" Matt called, feeling frustrated. They were supposed to go to dinner and then out dancing, but Matt had been waiting for thirty minutes.
"You want me to be pretty, don't you?" she called back, "I'll be ready in five minutes."
Matt groaned and sat down on the bed. She had been saying that for the past half hour. How long did it take a girl to get ready? Matt sighed. Victoria may be the hottest girl in Hogwarts, but she was definitely high-maintenance. He didn't know if he could keep up with this much longer.
"I think you're beautiful just the way you are," Matt answered back, trying to control his frustration.
Victoria reapplied her lipstick for the fourth time, rolling her eyes. Matt was such an idiot for a few times. The few extra minutes she took were worth the wait. He shouldn't take her good looks for granted. Not everyone was the most wanted girl at school.
Victoria admired herself in the mirror, twirling around in her miniskirt and tank top. She smiled and brushed her hair again.
"Victoria, get out here this instance!"
Victoria chose to ignore Matt. He began yelling again. Unable to apply makeup with his irritating calls, Victoria put down her brush.
"I'm coming," Victoria answered sweetly, "Keep your pants on. Actually, don't." She giggled at her joke.
Victoria walked out of the bathroom and did a little twirl for Matt. Matt's jaw dropped, and he headed towards Victoria.
"Was I worth the wait?" Victoria purred. Matt nodded, and he slid his tongue into her mouth. She felt her insides squirm with pleasure as they continued to make out. They were the meant-to-be couple- he had been in a movie; she was the hottest girl in Hogwarts. Victoria didn't like to brag about herself, but she had to admit that they were the two most desirable people in the school.
"I can't believe you used to date that Helga girl," Victoria muttered, thinking about Matt's old girlfriend.
"Heaven," Matt corrected. Victoria gave him a weird look.
"Whatever. It's not like you'll be seeing her anytime soon." Victoria kissed Matt slowly and teasingly. Matt sped up the kiss, pressing his body against her own. Victoria felt the heat of his body against hers.
"Let's not talk about Heaven," Matt muttered. Although he was going out with Victoria, he still wasn't completely over his ex-girlfriend, Heaven Zhang. They had been going out for a little over two months and although two months didn't seem like a very long time, it most definitely was. Matt had really grown attached to Heaven, and he couldn't believe that they had broken up. He could remember it like yesterday.
Matt spotted Heaven in the Great Hall. He waved to her and she stood up to greet him. Matt pulled her close to him and kissed her deeply.
"Hey," she muttered, kissing his cheek. She leaned in to close the gap between their lips. They continued to kiss for a few more minutes before they took a seat at the table.
"Are you sure I'm allowed to sit at the Ravenclaw table?" Matt asked her softly, glancing around. Heaven laughed, swatting his arm playfully.
"Of course you are, idiot. Are you afraid you're going to break a rule?" Heaven teased. She kissed him softly again.
"Hey Mattie."
Heaven groaned, rolling her eyes. Matt turned around and saw Victoria Houghin, the hottest and stupidest girl in Hogwarts. She was skinny with defined curves and long brown hair. Matt didn't know much about her other than the fact that she was pretty much with a new guy every other week.
"Hi Victoria," Matt answered in a friendly tone. Victoria acted as if Heaven wasn't there.
"Can I have your autograph?" she swooned, giving him a smile. Matt couldn't deny that she was gorgeous. Every part of her was defined. Matt felt as though every person in the school was staring at the two of them.
"Yeah, er sure. Do you have a pen and paper?"
Victoria dug around in her bag, purposely taking a very long time. Heaven tapped her fingers on the table, obviously irritated. Victoria looked up at Matt and gave him an apologetic look.
"I must have left it in the Slytherin common room," she muttered, "Can you come with me?" she pursed her lips in a way that Matt couldn't say no. He gave Heaven an apologetic look.
"Let's go," Victoria told him, her voice smooth. She started walking, leaving Matt and Heaven at the table.
"I'll be back in a few minutes, okay?"
"Don't bother," Heaven shook her head, "When you come back, I won't be here." She stood up and gave Matt a long look. Matt stared at her, confused. What the heck was she talking about?
"What do you mean?" he demanded, a bewildered look on his face. Heaven sighed.
"Matt," she began, "You're a great guy but I just can't deal with this anymore. Victoria has been after you for weeks and you just can't brush her off. And not just her… all the girls that swoon at you. I think it's just…better this way."
Heaven glanced at him, biting her lip. She sighed. "Go catch up with Victoria. I don't want to talk to you again."
She stalked off, leaving Matt standing there, his mouth standing open. His mind was numb and he couldn't believe what was going on.
"Matt, are you coming?"
Matt turned around and smiled weakly. "Yeah, I'm coming." Victoria gave him a look.
"What's wrong?" she breathed softly into his ear. Matt felt the heat of her breath on his skin.
"I just have a lot of things on my mind," Matt answered back softly, shrugging. He bit his lip, hoping he wouldn't break out in tears.
"Maybe I can help you," Victoria suggested. When Matt didn't answer, she crushed her lips into his. Matt didn't pull away. Instead, he slung his arms around her neck, throwing all of his problems into every kiss…
…And that was the start to their relationship.
"Matt, are you even listening to me?" Victoria complained, running a finger through her long brown hair. Matt looked at her and cleared his throat.
"Er, yeah. I did. I think you're hot, too." Matt knew that whatever she was saying, it had to be about herself. Victoria smiled sexily.
"I knew you thought so," she breathed. She leaned in and Matt lost himself in the passion of their kiss.
