Chapter One: Airplane
[:.-- -- -- -- -- --.:] [:.-- -- -- -- -- --.:] [:.-- -- -- -- -- --.:]
You've got your airplane
And I've got the plain air of here
You're gone and I've gone insane
Oh when will you reappear
I'm just some new kid
Who can't get his mind off of you
And I know that it's stupid

"Airplane?" I said. "What the hell is an airplane?"
My girlfriend smiled at me. "It's what Muggles use to fly around." She picked up her bags from the floor. "I should be heading out now, James."
I looked down at her, pleading for her to stay. "How long are you staying?" I asked.
"I don't know yet, James. Not longer than a month." She walked closer and closer to the door, teasing me. I trailed behind her.
"Why do you have to go?" I asked. "Why can't I go with you?"
"Because, James," she said, "It's something called a Evans Family Reunion. If we end up married, then you can come next year."
I poked her on the shoulder and she sighed. "What, James?"
"Will you marry me?"
Lily smiled and turned around. "We just got out of Hogwarts, sweetie. I don't know if I'm ready yet."
I pouted again. "I love you."
"I love you too," she smiled. "I'm going to miss you and I'm going to write to you every single day."
I nodded and I opened the front door for her. "What am I going to do without you?"
"Why don't you go stay at Sirius's or something," she shrugged. "We've talked about this a lot over the past week, James. I'm sorry that I have to go, but I haven't been to a reunion since I was eleven, and I really need a vacation right now."
I rolled my eyes. "But you're going to be a Potter soon. Why do you need to go to the Evans reunion?"
"Maybe I won't be a Potter soon," she shrugged, a twinkle of mirth in her eye. "I'll see you soon, baby." She stood on her tiptoes and kissed me softly on my nose. "I'll write."
"You better," I said, grabbing her waist and pulling her closer to me. "Or you'll get it when you come back."
She giggled and I gave her one final kiss on the lips before she picked up her bags and went out to the weird hunk of metal in front of our house that she had called a car. She made her parents honk the horn as they drove away.

A/n: Hey guys! I'm completely procrastinating on updating my other stories, so I wanted to write this one. I know it's short, but more is to come and longer chapters. Review please!
