Second Interlude
Readers:
Even though I have not posted in several weeks, I have not abandoned this story. I have been extremely busy with end of summer activities and a major remodeling project to add a new family room to the house. Things are beginning to return to normal and I will start writing again very soon.
The last part of Chapter 17 will take some time to develop and write, as it will set the stage for the next book (July 22 thru July 31, story time) as well as answer the many questions raised in this last chapter. The final part of Book One is crucial to the continued viability of the entire saga.
For me personally, ‘The Order of the Phoenix’ did little to increase, or even maintain, the inspiration that JKR’s first four books instilled within me. As of the end of Book 5, for me Harry was even less mature and likeable as a young hero than he was at the end of Book 4. In many ways, Hermione is the one true gem that endures throughout all of the books. Since JKR killed off Sirius, and he is central to my fan-fiction, my story is now truly an alternate universe in which the behaviors and attitudes of the main characters will diverge significantly from JKR’s remaining books yet to be published. I will try to remain true to the HP canon as set down in the first four JKR books, with only those changes necessitated by growing older and experiencing more of what life has to offer.
If you have any comments or suggestions, please post a review. I enjoy hearing from you and value what you have to say.
Sincerely,
The Hogwarts Oracle
