Hermione had always been rubbish at Quidditch, but she had been tricked into playing one rainy day at the Burrow.

She was never that interested in the game; she only went to the school events to watch Harry, so she wasn’t paying attention now.

She was caught off guard when a bludger collided with her side, sending her face down in the mud.

Sputtering, she stood up. The Weasleys laughed at her, but Harry just walked to where she stood.

He wiped his hand across her cheek gently, and she stopped breathing.

“Mud on your face,” he said simply, smiling.
