Imperfect Love Story

1. Imperfect Love Story

Disclaimer: HP isn’t mine, it belongs to J.K. Rowling and other related companies. The ficlet is mine, however.

Author’s Note: Another nonsensical drabble. Whee. This is from Hermione’s POV, once again.

To all the Wonks – especially Christine and Romy.

Some could call us an imperfect love story.

Why? Is it because we’re two of the unlikeliest people who would get together? Or is it because of the fact we’re abnormal?

It makes me wonder.  Sure, we’re imperfect; everyone is. Even though I strive to be perfect (which is pretty useless really, since there’s no such thing as perfect), in the end, I’ll always be imperfect. And I like it that way. I prefer it that way.

Imperfect is good.

You’re imperfect, too. Although you don’t aim to be perfect, and don’t even bother to try to be flawless.

So we’re imperfect. Odd, abnormal, imperfect.

A love story, though? Maybe . . just maybe. It’s rather doubtful, since we wouldn’t call our story a love story. In a way, it is. No one ever thought about you and me together – yet we got together. Somehow, in some ways, it isn’t a love story. What our story is – it was a slowly developing love story, a story that told of two people who had the ideal love yet didn’t realize it.

A slowly unfolding story of you and me. Two wanderers in life who realized how wrong they had been about love and soon found the love that they knew was there.

A slowly unfolding story of the love that finally came true . . a story within a story. Showing how we got together, why us and no one else –

Just because we did.

So are we an imperfect love story?

An unlikely love story that, in the end, turned out to be true?

Although some could call us an imperfect love story . . .

We actually are -

You and I are an imperfect love story.
