The Greater Power of Three

2. Fiction... or Not

Chapter two- Fiction or Not

Harry had been reading for the past two hours. He needed to find out as much information as possible, he needed to be prepared. He often thought Hermione would be better at this job, with the researching and translating of books about demons and prophesies. He had become quiet bored with this Auror job. There wasn't enough action, now that Voldemort was gone everything Harry did as an Auror just seemed like a walk in the park.

Last year when he was approached by a man named Quinton, he had no idea of all the dangers in the world. Now Harry had become a Watcher. He was one of the few that were not hunted by the Bringers of the First. He remembered when the Watcher's council was blown up, killing everyone inside. He was lucky that he met with Hermione in Diagon Alley, or he would have been dead as well. Now he was working along side Rupert Giles, the prized Watcher of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Before Harry had been told that he may never be a Watcher to a Slayer, but will help out with the Potentials that they trained. Now every girl in the world that could be a Slayer is a Slayer.

Girls had been showing up from all over the world. So far they had been all muggles. Harry had yet to see a girl from the magical world become a Slayer. He knew Willow was a witch, but he didn't make it known that he was a Wizard.

“Hey Potter, You gonna help out today?” Kennedy walked into the Library. Harry had donated the mansion they were in to the cause, he had the money and they need a new HQ for the Watcher and Slayers. Somebody called it `Slayer central' out of the blue and the name just stuck. It was located outside London in the country side. It had plenty of room for some of the Slayers to train. Harry had been helping out with training the Slayers, but he also trained Watchers. Somehow he got stuck with Andrew, an annoying geek who didn't want to grow up. Giles said that it might do Andrew some good if someone took him under his wing.

“Yes, of course. I was just going to put this book away.” Harry replied, “You haven't seen Andrew anywhere have you? With any luck he has probably gotten himself lost.”

“He still going on about how he thinks you're the real Harry Potter, you know from the books.” Kennedy said sitting on a table, “No matter how much we tell that those books are just fiction, he somehow is convinced it's all real.” Kennedy eyes him in suspicion.

Harry chuckled to himself. A couple years back a witch named Rowling wanted to write about his story and make it seem like a muggle fiction story for the muggles to read. Harry had agreed and thought it was a good idea. Muggles would never think that it was real, he thought back then. But now there were the muggles that were obsessed with the books. Harry prayed that Andrew never find any solid evidence to prove his story.

“Willow and I met another Potter in London today.” Kennedy said.

“Really?” Harry asked, “`Potter' isn't really a common name in these parts.”

“That's why I think you might know her.” Kennedy said.

“Her?” Harry said playing dumb. He knew the only Potter to be roaming London would be Hermione.

“Come one Harry, before today I wouldn't think twice of Andrew's ramblings. But now today, `Hermione' Potter?” Harry knew he was busted.

“So? What do you want me to do? Go up to Andrew and tell him that I am in fact the real Harry Potter. What's to stop him from telling the whole world?” Harry said putting his books away.

“Aha! It is true I was right.” Andrew walked into the room, “You are the all mighty Harry Potter, the boy-who-lived the…”

“The one who can make you forget with my wand, if you don't shut your gob!” Harry told him.

“Ok,” Andrew squeaked.

“Let's get going shall we?” Harry said and Andrew and Kennedy followed him out of the Library to the room where the new slayers were trained.

“So what's happens in Book 6?” Andrew asked. Harry just gave him a look. “I mean you obviously know what's going to happen.”

“I graduate, marry the girl of my dreams, them become a Watcher.” Harry said. “And asking about any details of my life is not shutting your gob.”

“Sorry.”

“Hermione seems nice.” Kennedy added.

“She's perfect.” Harry replied.

“Hermione Granger, brightest witch of them all. Top of her class at Hogwarts, the brainy know-it-all. One third of the Hogwarts trio…”

“Andrew!!” Harry and Kennedy both shouted. “One more word and I will turn you into a toad.” Harry said. Andrew gulped. They entered the room where Giles and a group of fifty Slayers were waiting.

“Ah Kennedy, has Willow come up with any new leads on the Slayer in London?” Giles asked her.

“I just left her at a magic shop; she's getting some things for a pretty powerful locator spell. Willow can't seem to get a lock on her. She tried a regular locator spell but it just pointed to the magic shop we were at.”

“Maybe some kind of magic is blocking her. Someone doesn't want her found perhaps. Who was in the shop when the spell was cast?” Giles asked.

“It was just me, Willow and the shop owner,” she replied.

“Anyone just leave or come into the store after it was cast.”

“Just…” Kennedy stopped and looked at Harry. Harry saw her look.

“No!” he said.

“It has to be, she was the only one to come into the shop when the spell was cast.” Kennedy said.

“Look at all the girls here. I know for a fact that not one of them is magical in any way. She can't be.” Harry was in disbelief, how could anyone suggest that his Hermione could be a Slayer.
