My Other Half

Quietly, I stand

And wait for my

Comfort to arrive.

I love her looks

Her feel, her taste, her scent, her sound

My other half

Deep in the night

She's almost here!

I can feel it!

Tall and slender,

Honey colored hair

Eyes as brown as chocolate.

Heart as pure as gold

Mind as wise as an aged man

Face of a girl, yet one of a woman

I turn her way

I see her quiet creep

And smile at the effort

She smiles back

My stomach flips

My heart skips a beat.

And the night passes

As I stay with my other half

To be completed until the morning light.
