I'm Movin' On

Title: I’m Moving On

Author:  Bri Black or Bri Thile, depending on if you are at fanfiction.net or portkey.org

Ship: H/Hr, what else would it be? Except for maybe D/G

Rating: PG, because or certain angst qualities

Disclaimer: I don’t own Harry Potter, or anything related. Everything belongs to JKR, who I am not. If Harry Potter did belong to me, I would first kiss Draco Malfoy senseless (what is it about the bad boys?) and then I would lock him in a bathroom with Ginny, without their wands, until they figure out that they positively adore each other. Then I would lock Ron in a closet so he can’t interfere with Harry and Hermione slowly, and I mean SLOWLY, figuring out that they are perfect for each other. Isn’t that a great plan?

Dedication: I would like to dedicate this story to my friend, and beta reader, Derek. He doesn’t really have a pen name or anything, because he has never been to a fan fiction site in his life. I go to school with him, and he is really nice, even though his friends are (censored, in case of little children).

Summary: He’s lived with pain all his life. He can’t take it anymore.

I’ve dealt with my ghosts and I’ve faced all my demons

Finally content with a past I regret

I’ve found you find strength in your moments of weakness

For once I’m a peace with myself

I’ve been burdened with blame, trapped in the past for to long

I’m moving on

I fought Voldemort, in different forms, seven times, when I was ranging from the age of one year old to twenty-three. I hate my past, making it so I can't even walk into the Leaky Cauldron without people asking me for my autograph, but I’ve learned to live with it. I remember all the times you were so stuck, but when I needed you, you were there for me. When I think of you, remember you, I feel a peace within me.

It was my fault. When Wormtail got away, when Cedric died…

Everything was, still is, my fault.

I’ve lived in the place and I know all the faces

Each one is different but they’re always the same

They mean me no harm but it’s time that I face it

They’ll never allow me to change

But I never dreamed home would end up where I don’t belong

I’m moving on

I only lived a Hogwarts for seven years, but I know what everything, and everyone, looks like. They are always different, but each one is always the same. Nobody means to hurt me, but they are by just NOT letting me be famous. I never thought that Hogwarts, my home, would be the place I don’t belong, the place I don’t want to be.

I’m moving on

At last I can see

Life has been patiently waiting for me

And I know there’s no garentees, but I’m not alone

There comes a time in everyone’s life

When all you can see are the years passing by

And I have made up my mind that those days are gone

Now, I can see what life has been telling me to do. I know there’s no way I can be sure I’ll see you again, but I know what I have to do. I’m going to do this, and no one can stop me.

I sold what I could and packed what I couldn’t

Stop to fill up on the way out of town

I’ve loved like I should, but lived like I shouldn’t

I had to lose everything to find out

Maybe forgiveness will find me somewhere own this road

I’m moving on

I lost everything, and now it’s my turn. It’s my turn to go. I need to see you again. I yearn to touch you again. I love you, my ‘Mione. I love you, and now I will die to be with you.

A/N: Some people would call this a cry for help. Some would say I’m insane. I say it’s just my twisted mind wishing someone would die for me, so I decide to write about Harry dying for Hermione, and vice versa. I find it hopelessly romantic, in a twisted way.
