The sun was shining, the sky was blue, and there were no clouds in the sky. Flowers were blooming, spring was finally here. And an uncharacteristic shout of glee came from Malfoy Manor.

Ginny smiled as she looked down at the Home Witches 15 Second Pregnancy Test™.  It wasn't planned by Ginny Weasley Malfoy was pregnant. She noticed that her breasts had started to feel tender and that she couldn't eat as much as she usually did. So, she grabbed one of the tests the last time she went to the drug store. Ginny said to herself, "A child... Draco will never believe it!"

Then, her expression changed. Draco had made it clear that even though he needed an heir, he wasn't ready for children and he didn't want to have, as he said it, "a litter of brats like your parents did." Ginny made him sleep in the other room for a week after he said that but she understood why he didn't want to have children yet. They had been barely married a year; most of the witches and wizards their age had married as soon as possible after Voldemort had been defeated. Many of them had two or three children already. Draco and Ginny had been lagging behind.

Ginny sat on the toilet seat with a thud. How in the bloody hell was she going to tell Draco without him going crazy?

******

Draco watched Ginny with narrowed eyes. All night at supper, Ginny had been abnormally quiet. Normally, she would chatter about what she did at work, about her idiotic brothers and Potter, and about what she and her friends had done during the day. He'd rather die that spend more than ten minutes with Potter and her brothers, but he'd rather her talk about something than just sit here like this.

"Cat have your tongue, Ginny," Draco asked while cutting a piece of steak. Ginny looked up and replied, "Oh no, just thinking," adding mentally, "About how the bloody hell I'm going to tell you that I'm pregnant."

Draco commented, "Just thinking... I thought I was going barmy, you haven't tried to talk my ear off tonight."

Ginny's eyes narrowed and she acidly replied , "Going barmy? You don't need to not here me talk to go barmy, Malfoy."

Draco took one more bite then put his knife and fork on the plate. "I'd love to continue this conversation but I have to go. I forgot to tell you, I'm meeting with Blaise and tonight about some Ministry business. I'll be back later."

He got out of his chair and Apparated out of the room. Ginny sighed and looked down at her steak and potatoes. She thought, Chance 1: failed to even open my mouth.

"Wotcher, Ginny!"

Ginny looked up; it was Tonks. She had just walked into Weasleys Wizarding Wheezes, hoping that one of the twins' gags could cheer her up after last night's failure. Ginny smiled and said, "Hello, Tonks, what are you doing here?"

Tonks smirked. "Bill came by to talk to the twins about this Gringotts loan they are planning to take out. It seems like since they've made so much money here, they want to expand the brand to ."

Ginny laughed. "I wish the teachers at Beauxbatons good luck if that happens. Got a moment to talk?"

Tonks replied, "I still have thirty minutes left on my lunch break. What's wrong?"

Ginny motioned for Tonks to follow her to one of the less-frequented corners. She started, "I'm pregnant-"

Tonks exclaimed, "You're pregnant! Your mum will be so happy! She's hoping that you'll have a girl since the rest of us have only managed to have boys! "

Ginny continued, "Yeah, Tonks, except that I haven't told Draco yet."

Tonks blinked. "Draco doesn't know yet," Tonks asked. Ginny nodded and complained, "I don't know how to tell him!"

"You just can't tell him, Draco, we're going to have the long-awaited Malfoy heir at the end of the year," Tonks asked.

Ginny said, "Draco has said over and over again that he doesn't want to have children yet. After everything that happened after Voldemort was defeated and the hoops he had to go through to even be alive, I can understand why Draco doesn't want any children right now."

Tonks gently told Ginny, "If Draco was so sure he didn't want to have children right now, he should have stopped trying to shag you when he could."

They snickered. Ginny asked, "What would you do?"

"What would you do what," Bill asked, startling both of them. Bill was accompanied by the twins.

Ginny rolled her eyes. "I might as well tell you all now... I'm pregnant."

Bill said, "That's great," while the Fred commented, "I can't believe that you're having that blighter's kid."

George nodded. Tonks added, "And, Ginny hasn't told Draco yet."

The twins snickered and George drawled, "Oh, really."

Ginny exclaimed, "Please do not think this is a time for one of your tricks! I'll tell him myself with no help from you two!"

Bill turned around and whistled. He said, "Well, I think you'll be telling him sooner than later," pointing to the front of the store. Draco was opening the door to the store.

The twins laughed and Fred mockingly said, "Oh dear sister, please do not take away this golden opportunity away from us," before heading to the front of the store.

******

Draco cautiously walked into the store. Prior experience made him wary of the twins, especially in the little shop of horrors they called a store. He held his wand to the side, just in case, especially as the twins walked towards him. Fred taunted, "Oh Draco, you still don't even trust your brothers-in-law, coming in here with your wand out."

Draco shot back, "Most wizards don't have brothers-in-law who consider playing schoolboy tricks a worthy occupation."

George gave Draco a lethal smile. "These schoolboy tricks are worth thousands in Galleons a year, mate."

Draco raised an eyebrow. "It is fitting, that it took schoolboy tricks for the Weasley family to actually have some kind of wealth. Where's my wife, I was told she was here."

The twins growled, ready to hex Draco when Ginny came towards them. Fred commented, "Once again, saved by our little sister."

Ginny shot the twins a look before turning towards Draco and asking, "How are you?"

Draco's face softened and he answered, "All right?"

George snickered. "I doubt you'll be all right for so long."

Tonks yelled out, "Wotcher, Draco," while Bill waved as they walked towards them from towards the back of the store. Draco waved back, commenting, "A mini-reunion here today, I guess."

Fred drawled, "Oh, our sister came here with a certain issue she needed help to deal with."

Draco looked at Ginny and asked, "Oh, really?"

Bill and Tonks exchanged a look as they met the group at the front. Smartly, Bill said, "Hey, we never finished that talk about the loan, Gred and Forge," pulling them away from the couple. Tonks said, "My lunch break is over, I'll see you later," winking at her husband and at the couple before walking out of the store. Before they were out of sight, Fred shot out, "I hope you like children, Malfoy!"

Draco looked at Ginny. "What in the bloody hell was your insane brother talking about?"

Ginny swallowed, and then said to herself, I'm a Gryffindor!  Gryffindors have courage. Why am I waffling on this?

She blurted out, "I'm pregnant."

Draco's face went from confused to unbelieving to resignation before he sighed. Ginny held her breath, waiting for Draco to say something, anything. She let out her breath when Draco began to laugh. He said, "Bloody hell, my parents' are spinning in their graves. The Malfoy heir will have Weasley blood."

Ginny smirked. "It's just as pure as theirs' were."

Draco snickered. "No wonder you were so quiet last night," he commented.

Ginny admitted, "I didn't quite know how to break the news to you. You were so against having children so soon."

"The Gryffindor was scared? Oh, I thought they were so brave. It doesn't matter, if the child has red hair, we'll just give him to one of your brothers," Draco drawled, while brushing a piece of lint off of his robes.

"We're not giving away red-haired babies, Draco," Ginny retorted. Draco smiled and Ginny groaned, realizing she fell for the bait once again. Draco gently said, "Come on; let's go get something to eat. That's why I came here looking for you anyway."

Ginny smiled and held out her hand. Draco grabbed it and they left.
