Grim Paradise
1. Chapter 1
Kaytee: Very grim, Ron bashing, very rough. Enjoy.
Disclaimer: Harry and Hermione’d be shagging in the RoR by fourth year if I owned it, but I don’t.
He clasped his had in hers willing the blood to stop poring from her chest and her arms. She seemed oblivious to it, standing and facing the window in the hallway. She was smiling, her pale red lips curved in that knowing smile that he came to know and love. The muscles in her hand were holding onto his as tight as humanly possible, breaking them, crushing them to a lifeless pulp. They seemed to be the only things of her that registered the pain that she was in.
There was all ready a crimson pool at her feet. He could see their nakedness in it, sweat still glistening on their bodies. Half was from the love-making not five minutes ago. The other half was from the pursuit that had just come to a soul shattering end. He could also see the red hair of their pursuer.
“Fucking slut,” the red-haired boy said, before raising the gun he had found lying around the books that littered the room in between the two boys. A shot fired off with a tremulous bang.
She reeled forward as the bullet crashed into her skull and came out through her forehead where her third eye chakra was. It split the glass of the window. Harry watched as Hermione continued to stand, still smiling at him as if they were alone in their secret place by the lake.
A second red-haired figure bounded in, looking just as angry as her brother as she pushed Harry to the ground to start pummeling him with her petite fists, screaming ‘WHY’D YOU LET HIM SHOOT HER?’ He couldn’t feel any of the pain being inflicted upon him.
He just wanted Hermione to fall and end her pain.
She muttered something incomprehensible, touching the younger girl’s shoulder with a quaking hand. Blood stained the Hogwarts dress shirt Ginny wore.
“I’m sorry Ginny,” she wheezed, her speech slurred. “I didn’t mean to fall in love with him. You are my best friend.”
Ginny sobbed and Ron struggled with the gun Hermione had gotten from her father when he died. How he had managed to get it to work the first five times, Harry could never guess. He could only imagine where the last bullets would go.
“Hermione,” Harry choked, touching her calf and remembering how not even a quarter of an hour before he had been kissing them and driving her to insanity. “Hermione, I love you.”
There were five loud bangs from the automatic after Ginny stood back up, all of them lodging themselves in Harry’s body. The first mangled his genitals, the second, third and fourth catching in his stomach and the fifth just barely missing his heart.
Hermione smiled down at him. The look on her face would’ve have been horrifying under normal circumstances, but now... but now...
She finally fell on top of him as though she had been waiting for it and sighed. Blood leaked out in a stream from her mouth and sideways off his chest, the blood from her forehead washing his throat. He kissed the top of her head weakly.
Ginny stood in the nearest corner, looking at her brother in repulsion as he discarded the weapon.
“Serves them right, Ginny,” Ron said. “They were cheating on us so they deserve to die.”
“They never belonged to us! They always belonged to each other!”
Their voices faded out and Harry found himself in the darkest of places. He reached out for Hermione and felt her nearby. When he hugged her warmth to him, he felt everything burst into light around them.
We don’t ever have to leave here.
We don’t ever have to feel pain again.
We can be free to love.
Forever.
“I want that very much.”
Hermione’s thoughts kept repeating over and over again, and he felt himself loving it more every time.
There in Limbo, jealousy would never find them.
In Limbo, they would never be worried about secrecy.
In death they found their paradise.
