Disclaimer: As you know, I do not own Harry Potter. Disney owns the song or whatever you want to call it. It's from the movie Pocahontas. That's where I got this idea kinda. It doesn't go with the movie or anything.
Summary: Picks up during 6th Year. Voldemort is gone. Will love flourish between Harry and Hermione or will it all come to an end?
Hermione Granger sat on the window seal, looking out to the Hogwarts grounds. She saw Harry and Ron down there playing quidditch. God how she hated flying. She was scared to death of it. There was only one thing that scared her even more… the fact that she had became so close with Harry. A slight breeze came across her face, it was as if the wind was whispering to her…
*~*Krah Krah na tu rah, you will understand.*~*
What would she understand? It was just so confusing. She got off the seal and walked out of the common room. She didn't know where she was going to go, but she didn't want to stay up there. She walked out to the gardens and sat down under a Cherry Blossom tree. "I didn't know that they had Cherry Blossoms here…" She said aloud. "Yeah, they're magical though so they won't die." a voice came from behind her. She turned around slowly and there he was…Harry…

The wind picked up to a slow speed. The leaves and the blossoms swirled around them. She closed her eyes and sighed. If she listened with her heart, she would be in so much trouble. She didn't want any more pain or hurt. She had just lost her parents in a car crash a few months ago. "Are you ok Hermione?" "Yeah, I'll be ok I guess." She stifled a cry. It was just too much. Harry came and put his arms around her. He layed his head on hers. She walked away from his arms. "You don't want me Harry. I'm just a bookworm and a mudblood. What is there about me that is good?"
*~*Let it break upon you like a wave upon the sand.*~*
"Hermione, what is there about you I don't love? And don't talk about yourself like that." He turned her around and looked deep into her chocolate-honey orbs. He kissed her deeply. "Hermione, you don't you know long I have waited to do that. I love you and that's never going to change, no matter what." Harry kissed the tears that trailed down her soft, slightly blushed cheeks. "I love you too Harry. I just didn't know what to think about it. I was so confused. I… I just… I was afraid. Why would someone like you, like or even love someone like me?" She sighed. Harry kissed her once again. He understood fully.
*~*Listen with your heart. You will understand.*~*
Hermione understanded perfectly. Your heart can't help whom it loves. It's just something that you feel when you're around that person, when you cry to yourself wondering if they're going to be ok. She was so scared when he fought Voldemort that one last time. She had been taken captive and held hostage. She was too blind then even to understand that he loved her then. In the end Harry came out on top. She was saved and that was the whole story. The world may have been safe, but her heart wasn't.
She came back into the present day. She finally listened with her heart. She was in love. They walked back up to Gryffindor Tower and sat down. He played with her hair. "Can I braid it?" She blinked a couple of times. "That's a switch. Everyone always wants me to do their hair." He laughed some. "Ok, that's a yes then." He got up and ran up to his room, grabbing a comb. He sat back down and started to French braid her hair into pigtails. When he was finished, she looked so cute. He kissed her tenderly. She blushed. "Thanks." "It looks great like that." She laughed. This 6th year was going to be the best.
