Hey guys, this is the sequel and I have posted up to where I have left off in my other site so I hope you will enjoy this.

To answer to my reviews, I had to make Harry leave because it was the only way I could fit in this story and no Voldemort is not dead just wounded and I’m sorry for the dragon chapter, I wasn’t feeling too well at the time when I wrote it and wanted to hurry it up. Really sorry again.

Please keep sending me reviews; I love them so much!

Prolong

“Mione, of course I have to worry about you. You are my best friend; if it wasn’t for you I would have died a long time ago. Voldemort would do anything to get through to me and that means using my friends.” Harry said and Hermione shook her head.

“You don’t have to worry about me, it’s not if you really care about me that much.” Hermione said and gasped at what she had said. Harry pulled his hand away from her cheek.

“Mione, Has Krum been hitting you?”

“I’ll always be here, where ever you go, I’ll be watching you, and protecting you and when ever you come back, I’ll be right there, okay?”

“I know how you beat her up and you emotionally abuse her, you tortured her parents but you don’t have them any longer because Snape got them out of your house and took them to a safe place. I can assure you that I know more about Mione that you know about her.” Harry snarled and threw him across the room. “If I catch you anywhere near her I can assure you it will be the last thing you do!”

   Krum had taken Hermione

“I have to, it’s my destiny to be alone.” Harry whispered as he kissed her one more time. “I love you so much.” Harry muttered against her lips then pulled away and walked off determinedly, not once looking back.

Hermione stared at his retreating back with tears rolling down her face.

“I love you too.” She whispered then turned to face to lake.

Chapter 1: Home and Truth

Now

Harry was looking out of the window of the Dursley’s house, it was the summer, and he was going into his last year at Hogwart.

This year there was a change, he wasn’t going to the Weasley’s house, he couldn’t bare to face them at the moment, no matter how much they all begged him, he wouldn’t give in, he was staying at the Dursley’s house till it was time for him to go to Diagon Alley to collect his stuff and he was staying there for the last two weeks till it was time to go to the train station.

Mrs. Weasley was horrified when she found out that Harry, who was a son in her heart, wasn’t going up to their house like he normally did and was wondering what had changed.

Harry sighed as he rested his forehead on the window and choked back the tears as he thought of Hermione. He told her that he loved her but he left her, it was too dangerous for her to be around him and he wasn’t ready to lose her yet he pushed her away.

The door opened and there was footsteps.

“Harry?” a soft voice asked and Harry pulled his forehead from the window and locked gaze with his Aunt.

“Hey.” Harry greeted with a flat tone and Petunia felt her heart break, she walked over to him and sat on the bed.

“What’s wrong? Ever since you’ve come back, you have been, well to be frank, dead to the world, you are hardly eating, and I’m worried about you.” Petunia said which caused Harry to look at her shocked. “Listen Harry, as much I have treated you over the last few years, I want you to know that you can talk to me whenever you want okay?” Petunia said and nodded as she got up.

“I’m in love.” Harry said quietly, stopping Petunia in her tracks, she turned to him with a stunned look.

“You are?” Petunia asked and Harry nodded, Petunia sat back down and looked at Harry.

“But?” Petunia pressed on and Harry sighed and looked out of the window.

“I pushed her away, I told her that I love her then I pushed her away.” Harry said and Petunia felt her heart break once more.

“Oh Harry, why? Does she not love you?” Petunia asked.

“No, she loves me, she told me, and I told her that it wasn’t safe for her to be around me.” Harry said and looked at his aunt straight in the eye. “She almost died because of me too many times, I can’t lose her, I need her too much so I pushed her away to keep her safe.” Harry whispered and Petunia shook her head.

“Harry, it’s her choice.” Petunia argued and Harry got off the window ledge and paced the floor,

“I know Damn it! I know  but I made that choice for her, I knew that she wouldn’t let me go, I knew that she would stay by my side so I pushed her away. All my life I’ve ever wanted was to be normal, to have my parents back but no, I can’t because a mad man killer out there wants to kill me because I’m the only one who can kill him, he’ll destroy everyone that I love and care about! Now do you see? Why I can’t let her near me? She’ll die and I rather die than seeing her die before my very eyes, like my parents died and Sirius almost died, Cedric died because of me and too many people have went through hell because of me.” Harry snapped while Petunia sat there in a stunned shock, she knew that Harry went through hell every year he went back to school but didn’t know it was this bad.

She reached up and pulled Harry into a hug as she ran her hands up and down his back, soothing him while he buried his face into her neck and clutch the back of her shirt.

Petunia felt someone watching them and turned her face to the door where Vernon stood there with a stunned look on his face, it was obvious that he had heard everything, he left them two alone so he could go down stairs to think.

Hermione was her room; she was sitting on the window ledge, resting her forehead against the cool pane.

There were footsteps leading up behind her and a hand was placed on her shoulder, she turned and saw Ron standing there.

“Lo, Ron.” Hermione greeted.

“Wanna tell me what is going on? Harry not coming up and you are hardly saying anything or eating anything, I get the feeling that they both are connected.” Ron said and Hermione felt tears rush to her eyes.

“Harry told me that he loved me.” Hermione said and Ron was happy but saw the heartbroken gaze in her eyes and jumped to the worst.

“Please don’t tell me that you don’t love him.” Ron started begging and Hermione turned to him with a shock look on her face.

“No, I told him that I loved him but he pushed me away, he said it was too dangerous.” Hermione sobbed and Ron pulled her into a hug.

“Sh, didn’t you tell him it was your choice?” Ron asked and Hermione nodded against his chest.

“But he said he was making the choice for me.” Hermione said, muffled by his shirt. Ron looked toward the door and saw that his parents and siblings were standing there with pain in their eyes at the sight of Hermione crying.

Bill and Charlie came up to check for themselves that everyone was okay and they had to be there for the order. They were stunned when they heard that Hermione had been abused by Krum and was furious, they wanted a piece of Krum but was delighted when they realized that Harry had already done the job for them.

There was trial on the case in a couple of weeks, Hermione wasn’t looking forward to seeing Krum again but knew that she has to go if she wanted to put him away for life.

All she  wanted was Harry to come up and say that he made a mistake and that he needed her in his life but she knew far too well that he could be stubborn when he wanted to be, especially when it comes to her or Ron’s life being in danger.

“You heard?” McGonagall said and Dumbledore nodded. They both were in Dumbledore’s office.

“I can’t believe Harry!” McGonagall exclaimed and Dumbledore chuckled sadly.

“The poor boy has gone through too many things, things that a full grown wizard hasn’t been through. You know how he is, he takes everything onto his shoulders and refused to let anyone else be burdened by this, he tried so many times to cut himself off from Ron and Hermione but they refused, now that he had now made up his mind, I have a feeling that it won’t be so easy to break down.” Dumbledore said and McGonagall scoffed.

“Too much like his parents he is.” She remarked and Albus smiled.

“Yes but that what makes him who he is.” Albus said and Minerva nodded as she left the room, leaving Albus to his thoughts.

“What are we going to do?” Ginny asked.

Everyone in the Weasley family were down stairs, Hermione had managed to cry herself to sleep, hugging the cuddly toy that Harry had given her last year for her birthday.

“I don’t know, you all, just as well as I know, that Harry can be really stubborn and nothing is going to make him change his mind.” Ron said which got everyone nodding.

“Damn him, can’t he see that he is hurting her?” Ginny snapped and Ron nodded.

“He knows, that why he never came up, he scared that if he sees her, he will either give in and let her in or hurt her even more by pushing her further away.” Ron said and everyone looked at him curiously.

“Hey, I’ve been friends with the guy since first year, I know him!” Ron defended himself and everyone nodded as their thoughts came back, they all lapsed in silence once more, trying to figure out what to do with Harry and Hermione.

Harry was packing his suitcase when his photo album fell of his desk onto the floor, he sighed and picked it up and looked at the page that it landed on. His heart stopped in his throat when he saw the picture.

It was Hermione, she was sitting on the couch with her feet propped up on the other side of the couch with Crookshanks on her lap, she was laughing at something Ron said who was standing off to the side while Colin took the picture and Harry had the book that she was reading out of reach as she tried to get it.

Harry smiled when he thought back to that day.

Hermione was lying on the couch, reading her favorite novel; she had no homework as she had done them all. Her thoughts were preoccupied as she read the book. There was a loud laughter coming down from the corridor and she rolled her eyes when Ron and Harry stepped through, laughing at something Ron had said.

“Hey Guys.” Hermione greeted, sending both boys a smile.

“Hey Mione!” Both boys greeted back with the same goofy smiles which got her laughing.

“Whatcha reading?” Harry asked as he came up behind the couch and took the book out of her hands.

“Hey!” Hermione exclaimed as she tried to reach for the book but Harry held it out of reach.

“Who knows? Maybe it’s a love story or even a sex book.” Ron suggested which got Hermione cracking up as Ron rushed over to Harry to take the book out his hands to have a look. Harry rolled his eyes.

“No it’s not, it’s about…” Harry said as he looked at the title and rolled his eyes. “Body Language?” Harry asked and Hermione smiled.

“It’s mystery book which involves sex.” Hermione said and Ron shouted with glee.

“Give me that book!” Ron cheered as he chased after Harry which got Hermione cracking up once more. Colin had come in and snapped a picture without them seeing it. He later gave that picture to Harry for his Christmas which Harry cherished ever since then. It was a rare moment for the three of them to have laugher after everything they’ve been through.

Harry sniffed as he wiped a stray tear away while he closed the album and placed it in his suitcase, he flung himself on the bed and buried his face in the pillow.

He missed her so much and he wanted her in his arms but he couldn’t, he needed her to be safe and that means staying away from her.

How the hell was he going do that when he got to school?
