Chapter 26: Danger and Dreams.
Hermione moaned as she turned in her bed, she was feeling really hot for some reason. A figure walked into the room and crossed it to get to Hermione; they filled out a vial of blood red liquid and grabbed Hermione’s chin, tipping it up while parting her lips and placing the vial to her mouth.
“Down we go, time to go to sleep.” The figure whispered as she tipped the vial so the liquid would go into Hermione’s mouth. Hermione moaned as she turned her head to the side, refusing to take the liquid but the figure just gripped her chin harder, forcing Hermione to take the liquid.
Hermione swallowed the liquid then relaxed on her bed before all of a sudden arching her back in pain as her head tipped back to let out a howl of pain. The figure dropped the vial in shock before rushing out before anyone came in.
Poppy came rushing out of her room and saw Hermione on the bed howling in pain as her back was arched and her head moving sideways.
“Oh my!” Poppy gasped when she saw a broke vial lying on the ground, she hurried out of the room to get a hold of Snape.
Everyone was in dungeon, wondering what to do as they looked over the box, there was nothing there to help them but they felt that they had missed something.
The doors burst open which startled them, they all looked toward the intruder and Harry’s heart stopped when he saw Poppy standing there with a hand on her chest, breathing hard.
“Hermione is getting worse, someone had force-fed her liquid, don’t know what kind!” Poppy gasped between breaths.
Snape shot up out of his seat at the word liquid and left the room with a flutter of his robes while Harry ran after him, wondering what was going to happen.
Snape looked at the liquid on the floor and saw that it was blood red and saw the position Hermione was in, he groaned as he slumped in the seat while swearing.
“What is it?” Ron demanded, Snape looked up at everyone and sighed.
“This potion is extremely hard to come by, this potion is the kind that stop healing process and speeds up the killing, what ever it is happening to her body, is going to speed up and no healing potion is going to stop it. I’m saying that whoever sent her that box wants her to die.” Snape finished looking at Harry and felt a stab of pain in his heart when he saw the heart broken gaze on Harry’s face.
Harry shook his head in denial as his emerald green eyes glazed over with fear and tears.
“No.” Harry whispered.
“Harry…” Dumbledore started but stopped when Harry threw him a glare.
“Get out all of you!” Harry snapped, not thinking clearly. Everyone knew this but did what he or she was told because they knew how dangerous he could be when he was irrational.
“I’ll come up later mate.” Ron whispered as he left with the others. Harry looked at Hermione for a while before moving over to her and sitting on the bed, at his touch she relaxed and her body rested back on the bed, the howl of pain slowed down till there was no noise at all.
“Hermione I can’t lose you.” Harry whispered brokenly as he reached over and stroked back a stray hair and ran his finger down her cheek till he reached the base of her neck, feeling her pulse still beating under his fingers. His thumb on his other hand rubbed the ring that was on her finger. “We still have to get to married.” Harry whispered and shook his head as the tears built up once more. “God I love you so much! Please come back to me!” Harry sobbed as he leaned over her and buried his face in her neck, breathing in the scent of her that made him feel safe.
Soon his tears exhausted him that he fell into a deep sleep.
Harry found himself in the corridor once more, the humming was back and he looked around the place, looking for the source.
“Why am I back here?” Harry whispered.
“You will find the answer, to find the answer you must seek.” A familiar voice echoed, it sounded so much like…
“Hermione?” Harry asked, looking around.
“Harry look deep inside your heart for the answer, you have been in the place before, you must remember to seek it out.” The voice whispered as the humming grew louder.
“I know this place?” Harry shouted, confused.
“Follow your heart to seek your desire.” The voice explained and it clicked in his mind, his first year in the forbidding corridor, before he went past the fire, Hermione said something to him but cut her self off before finishing it.
“Loyalty, Bravery and love!” Harry whispered as a blinding light covered him.
“Follow you heart.” The voice whispered once more.
Harry found himself in the chamber once more, the mirror was there in front of him, and he walked over to it and looked into it.
It was the same once more, Hermione’s parents were alive and chained to the wall but there was another figures this time, Dudley and the shadowed figure was laughing. He squinted harder to find it that it was.
“Why can’t I see?” Harry demanded.
“You must seek it out!” The voice screamed with pain. Harry bent over his waist as his hands flew up to his ears to cover them.
Harry woke up with a gasp, he sat up in the bed was a gasp and sweat was shining on his forehead from the moonlight beam.
Harry scrambled out of the bed, not before giving Hermione a kiss on the forehead then on the lips.
“I will save you!” Harry promised before rushing out of the hospital wing, down the stairs till he reached his final destination.
The Forbidding corridor on the Third level.
