Chapter 1

I’m so over Harry. I don’t like him, and I never really did. I’m tired of being a little girl with little girl crushes. I’m a sixth year after all, but I still look like a very tall first year. I want to change myself. I just don’t know how.

Ginny put her diary away in her drawer and headed down to the Great Hall for supper. The Hall was already decorated for Halloween, even though October didn’t really start until Monday. Ginny was surprised to see the decorations this early, but overlooked it and proceeded over to the very end of the Gryffindor table.

She always sat alone in this same seat. She stopped sitting with Harry, Ron, and Hermione this year. She had realized over the summer that she was just a tagalong, and that Harry and Hermione were dating. That’s when the horrible truth had hit her: Harry thought of her as a sister and nothing more.

The food suddenly appeared, she automatically filled her plate, and ate as quickly as she could, never looking up at anyone or anything.

As she was eating, a loud burst of laughter was heard from the Hufflepuff table. She glanced up quickly and saw Hannah Abbot, Susan Bones, Millicent Bulstrode, Pansy Parkinson, and a new girl this year from the states, Sara Smith.

Ginny didn’t really know what to call them; they didn’t really have a name. They did sleep around though, or in Pansy’s case, pretended to. They were the most popular, the prettiest, and most envied girls in school.

I wish I were like them Ginny thought as she looked back down at her plate. When she was finished, they let another loud burst of laughter escape their little group. Ginny looked at them again, and it hit her like a ton of bricks.

If I want a new life, I have to become one of them!

Ginny tried her best not to run out of the Great Hall, but as soon as the doors closed behind her, she ran as fast as she could to . When she entered the Common Room, she ran over to the bulletin board and look at the Hogsmeade Visit parchment. The next visit was tomorrow! She then ran back to her dorm to count how much money she had saved up over the summer. She had tons of little jobs that earned her a lot of money, at least 300 Galleons.

She was so glad she hadn’t bought that broomstick she was going to! She knew how she was going to get into their group. She couldn’t wait until the Hogsmeade trip tomorrow!
