AN: Thanks again for the reviews. I don’t believe this will be a stereotypical story because I have the plot in my head. Just hang in there with me laila, the plot will change! Oh, and by the way I’m five months along and having a girl. I was actually thinking of naming her Laila!! What a small world. Sorry about the personal info. On with the chapter!

Chapter 4

Ginny stood there about five minutes before Hermione came out of the Great Hall. She looked worried, and as soon as she seen that Ginny was near tears she threw her arms around Ginny’s neck.

Ginny just stood there, not making a move to hug her back.

“Oh, Ginny. What did he say? Was it awful,” she asked in a quiet voice.

“More like hurtful.”

Hermione just nodded. Ginny was trying to decide whether she wanted her there or not.

“Ginny, may I ask why you changed?”

Ginny kind of chuckled. I was wondering that myself.

“I want to be somebody, Hermione. I’m just tired of being ignored.”

“Well, if you wanted attention, you got it.”

Before Ginny could reply, the Great Hall opened. Malfoy walked out. He spotted Ginny, looked her up and down, and walked away. Ginny could have sworn there was a hint interest in his eyes.

Hermione gawked after him, “Did you see what he just did to you?”

All Ginny could do was smile and nod. He noticed me!

“Well,” continued Hermione as she walked away, “Looks like you got his attention.

The morning classes for Ginny seemed to fly by. Everyone still stared at her, but she loved every minute of it.

Finally, lunch time came. Ginny waited few minutes, just to give the group time to get there. She didn’t want to be seen waiting on them.

As she was walking down the hall, some guy walked into her knocking her bag onto the floor, causing everything in her bag to scatter on the floor.

Ginny stooped down not even glancing at the guy. As she was picking up her stuff, she noticed he was still standing there. She closed her bag and looked up at him and saw that he was Malfoy and he had his hand extended to her to help her up. She took his hand and as he was pulling her up he said, “Trash doesn’t belong on the floor; it belongs in a garbage can.”

He let go of her hand and walked off. It took Ginny a minute to realize what he had meant. That really hurt. She took her time going to the Great Hall. She had to collect herself. She could not be shook up over something a lousy Malfoy had said to her. He’s said many things like that to hurt you and your family, this is not different.

She started walking again, but when she reached the end of the hall, her name was called. She turned around to see Mrs. McGonagall bustling toward her.

“Miss Weasley, you haven’t turned in any essays I’ve assigned to you. What is the problem?”

Ginny immediately reached in her bag while explaining, “Mrs. McGonagall, I’m so sorry. I’ve done them. I guess I just forgot to turn them in to you this morning. I’ve had a lot on my mind.”

Mrs. McGonagall looked down at Ginny’s new wardrobe and nodded saying, “yes, indeed you have.” She took the papers from Ginny’s hand and walked down the hall.

What is with everyone today? She continued down the hall, and down the staircase.

She stood once again in front of the double doors leading to the Great Hall. Here we go, Ginny. Don’t screw this up!

Ginny opened the doors quietly, deciding she didn’t want the whole room’s attention if she was ignored. She saw the group of girls and made her way over to them.

When she walked up to the table, Pansy just looked at her, pointed to a chair, and said, “Sit.”

This made Ginny even more nervous than when she walked up to the table. She sat down next to Sara.

“Alright, I’m not going to beat around the bush. I don’t like you. Simple as that. However,” she said cast a glare at Sara, Susan, and Hannah, “others in the group like you, so that causes some conflict that has to be reasoned with.

Ginny just nodded. Oh, no.

“So, we have come to an agreement,” Pansy paused dramatically.

Ginny just waited.

“You have to prove your worthiness to be in the group.”

Please don’t be awful.

~*~*~*~*~

Blaise Zabini came into the Great Hall right after Ginny. He watched her walk over to the Hufflepuff table, then went and sat by Draco.

“Man, isn’t she hot or what,” Blaise asked Draco. Draco glanced up at her, shook his head no, and went back to eating.

“Are you kidding me man? How can you think she isn’t?”

“Simple, she’s a Weasley.”

“So if she wasn’t a Weasley?”

“Then she wouldn’t have that god-awful red hair.”

“You’re still stuck on the Weasley thing.”

Draco nodded.

“Bet you ten galleons I’ll sleep with her before I graduate.”

Draco laughed then. “Yeah right Blaise.”

“You don’t believe me? Bet me then.”

“Fine.”

They shook on it. Draco got up laughing and headed toward his room.
