BOOK 7 SPOILERS!!!!!

Okay, so I have come to one conclusion about the romance in DH. It wasn't meant to be. These following parts that I found undercover were taken out of the book or changed by JKR. But, see, she was FORCED to take them out/ change them by RWHG fans, who couldn't see HPHG get together after all they had said/done to pumpkins. So yeah, they cornered her with a balloon and promised to give her the worst hair day ever if she published these clips. Scared to death JKR took these parts out, but has given me the responsibility to show these to you, so we can know that HPHG is the perfect couple and that they ended up happily ever after………

So….here we go……

I do not own HP…the only thing I own is this iPod I'm listening to right now, and the many HPHG moments floating in my head which helped me write this story…..I-I mean…which helped me uncover the truth….yeah so plz read and review!!!!!! This is not a one shot!!!!!

And here it goes…..hope JKR did something right……..

Italics are parts from the 7th book!!!!

*Chapter One: The Silver Doe: UNEDITED *

Least loved now, by the girl who prefers your friend…Second best, always, eternally overshadowed…”

“RON! Stab it now!” Harry bellowed. He could feel the locket quivering in his grip and was scared of what was coming. Ron raised the sword still higher, and as he did so, Riddle's eyes gleamed scarlet.

…

“Presumption!” echoed the Riddle-Hermione, who was more beautiful yet more terrible than the real Hermione: She swayed, cackling, before Ron, who looked horrified yet transfixed, the sword hanging pointlessly at his side. “Who could look at you? Who would ever look at you, besides Harry Potter? What have you ever done? Compared to the “Chosen One”? What are you, com pared with the Boy Who Lived?”

…

“Your mother confessed,” sneered Riddle-Harry, while Riddle-Hermione jeered, “that she would have preferred me as a son, would be glad to exchange…”

“Who wouldn't prefer him, what woman would take you, you are nothing, nothing, nothing compared to him,” crooned Riddle-Hermione, and she stretched like a snake and entwined herself around the Riddle-Harry, wrapping him in a close embrace: Their lips met.

Ron's face filled with anguish. He raised the sword, arms shaking.

…

“She's like my sister,” Harry went on. “I love her like a sister and I recon she feels the same way about me. It's always been like that. I thought you knew.”

…

Hermione launched herself forward and started punching every inch of Ron that she could reach.

“You-complete- arse- Ronald -Weasley!”

Harry was sitting outside the tent in the middle of the woods, his brilliant green emerald eyes were foggy with tiredness, hidden under his unruly mop of jet-black hair. He was clutching his wand at his side, his grip slackening with every minute as sleep threatened to overtake him. Harry shook his head, and looked down at his watch that the Weasleys had given him for his 17th birthday. The many hands were pointing around at miniature replicas of the planets, showing that it was 2:19 AM. Harry yawned loudly. It was his turn to guard the tent. Well, it had been Hermione's turn actually, but he had decided to take her spot. She obviously was confused and hurt with Ron's return, and clearly needed some time to mull things over in her head and relax. She needed to gather her thoughts about that certain, red headed, freckled man. Somehow, Harry had hoped that with Ron back, Hermione would be happy.

How wrong had he been? Harry sighed shaking his head, remembering how Hermione had attacked Ron with physical force, swearing at him. Harry had never actually heard Hermione swear, so it was pretty obvious that she had been very angry indeed.

Somewhere, a rustling crossed the small clearing, and Harry looked up, suddenly wide awake. His wand arm sprang up, ready to defend. His heart was beating painfully in his chest. Surely it was the Death Eaters. They had found them. It was all over.

But no, it couldn't be. They wouldn't have been able to find them with all the charms they had placed over the clearing. Harry squinted and saw a deer in the bushes, moving through the bushes, looking for food. He sighed with relief, letting his wand fall.

It had been like this for many weeks now. Utter confusion, not knowing what was happening in the Wizarding world, not knowing what to do with their mission. Having some lead, and then, suddenly, it would be ripped from them, or else disproved. Spasms of fear, quickly replaced by an eerie sudden calmness. No matter what happened, it always seemed that he, Ron, and Hermione would end up right back where they had started: alone with no clue about what to do now to find the Horocruxes.

Isn't that why Ron had left? Harry's hand clenched, his fingernails digging into skin.

“It wasn't exciting enough for him,” Harry growled, his nails digging harder, surely about to pierce his skin. “This mission didn't reach his expectations.” He was shaking, his wand letting out red sparks. Suddenly, Harry felt his wand get hot, sending a strong burning feeling to crawl up his arm. Harry jumped, dropping his wand. It wasn't healthy for him to be this mad. He could do something stupid and screw their cover. He had to stay calm. But that wasn't likely.

Half of him wanted Ron to just pack up and leave for good. Harry had seen where Ron was with the Horocrux hunt. At first, the idea that it had been the Horocrux talking saved Harry's vision of Ron. He had made himself believe that it had only been Voldermort's soul possessing him, causing him to drown in minor feelings and allow them to take over. But deep down he knew that Ron meant every word that had rolled off his tongue. There was no way the Horocrux could have just planted those words in his mind. They had been there from the start. And as he saw Hermione cry more and more every day due to Ron's absence, his tolerance for Ron had diminished to the little amount that was left today.

“He should have sucked it up. It's not like we all are having the time of our lives here. Hermione is putting up with this situation…why couldn't he?” muttered Harry. “She stayed with me…she's a much better friend than Ron could ever be…No matter what I do, Hermione seems to always be there. Ron can't say that. She believed me in 4th year about the Tournament when no one else would; she came with me alone into Umbridge's office even though she clearly didn't want to. And now this, she could have stayed with the man she loved, she could have abandoned the hunt. But Hermione didn't. She even modified her parent's memories so she could help him, and then sent them to Australia. She knew that she may never see them again, but that didn't stop her.” Harry felt his heart glow with admiration. Hermione was the strongest person he knew. Just reflecting on the many things she did for him made him smile. It made him feel like someone honestly cared for him. She cared for him, Harry, not Harry the Chosen One/ Boy Who Lived.

“She's always there, willing to sacrifice so much for me,” whispered Harry, looking up to the sky, the moon reflecting upon his glasses.

And that is what Ron had been talking about. Hermione always would stand by Harry, even if it meant ditching him.

Suddenly, scenes from the pond replayed in his head as if someone was rewinding to parts that made him as uncomfortable as possible. The Riddle-forms of himself and Hermione were floating around in his head, jeering at Ron. A picture of them kissing was plastered in front of his face, followed by a picture of Ron sobbing his eyes out, reaching out to Hermione.

“She's like my sister. I love her like a sister and I reckon she feels the same way about me. It's always been like that. I thought you knew…”

Harry shook his head, as his stomach churned. Had he truly meant that? Or had he said that for Ron's sake?

“Of course it was the truth,” muttered Harry, rubbing his eyes. “Why am I questioning that? She's my best friend. She's like family. Why…..how could it not be the truth?”

“How could what not be the truth?” asked Hermione, yawning, holding her wand a lit, holding the tent flap open. Harry jumped and turned around, pointing his wand at Hermione's face.

“What are you doing here?” he asked, squinting from the beam of light being projected onto his face by Hermione's wand. Hermione rolled her eyes.

“Get inside. You need your rest,” she stated simply. “Go on…shoo!” Harry chuckled, and lowered his wand.

“Shoo?” he laughed. “Are you serious?” Hermione glared at him, but the glare quickly turned into a smile.

“Just go inside. You look like you are going to pass out.” Hermione put her hands on her hips and gave him a look worthy of McGonagall.

“I'm not moving,” said Harry swiftly, watching Saturn move 3 spaces counter-clockwise on his watch.

“Your mother confessed that she would have preferred me as a son, would be glad to exchange…”

Harry's stomach churned uncomfortably. He was hoping dearly that Hermione wasn't going to start questioning him about what had happened when Ron showed up. He didn't want to reveal what had come out of the Horocrux at all.

“Well, I'm not going inside, so I guess we are both on watch,” said Hermione stubbornly. Harry looked up at her as she whispered `nox' and turned off her wand. Her face was engulfed in darkness in a second, but he could still see the faint trace of her brow furrowing: that only happened when she was thinking very strongly about something.

“Don't be stupid,” snapped Harry angrily. “Just go inside.”

“You stop being stubborn! You need the sleep more than I do!” she snapped back, crossing her arms. Harry shook his head.

“Fine! You win. You can stay. Happy?”

“Very,” replied Hermione icily. “Though either way, I would have stayed. I don't need the blessing of the Chosen One to act. I can do very well on my own.” Harry could hear the laugh in her voice. He chuckled as Hermione sat down next to him, staring straight ahead.

“Well, as long as you are happy,” said Harry sappily. A silence engulfed them as they were lost in their separate thoughts. They both were staring out into the forest, their wands ready, ready for the slightest sign of movement. Ron's snores could be heard from inside the tent. Harry's insides churned once again. How could Ron have walked out on him and Hermione? How could he do that to her? Harry scowled, face screwing up in anger, eyes flashing with loathing, the color intensifying, gold sparks visible in his pools of emerald. He left us….he left her after how much she cared. He deserted us all and insulted us and accused our parents too... After all she has done, he had the nerve-

“Harry?” asked Hermione testily. Harry kept looking forward, anger filling him up, making his head throb. He was sure that Hermione could feel the heat radiating off from him.

“Hermione?” he asked quietly, straining his ears for sounds. Hermione's voice was squeaky. He could tell by her voice that she was afraid that he would explode with anger at her question.

I can read her so easily, Harry thought. How can I do it?

He felt Hermione shift, and her arm brushed against his.

“Harry?”

“Yes?” asked Harry, now looking at his shoes, using every amount of power he possessed to not blow up and take out his anger on Hermione. If only Ron was awake. Maybe I should just go in there and hex him while he is asleep, thought Harry evilly. The possibilities were endless.

“Why won't you look at me? Are you even listening to me?” Her voice sounded hurt and confused. He didn't respond. “Can you look at me? Please look at me? Are you mad at me?” she asked, voice cracking.

“Is it because of what Ron said? I'm so sorry, I never should have agreed with him! Harry, you know I'd never leave you! Harry? ANSWER ME FOR MERLIN'S SAKE!”

Hermione reached up and grabbed Harry's face, forcing him to look her straight in her eyes. Harry blushed, knowing if Ron saw them. He felt guilty for the position. He had been feeling like this since Ron had returned. He felt guilty that he and Hermione had this…connection. A connection that Ron could only dream of having with her.

They could read each other's emotions, knew exactly how what each other was thinking. It was like their minds were connected. They were so alike; they understood every little thing about each other…well, almost every little thing. And now, for Hermione to be holding him like this …made him feel like he was cheating on his friend. His best friend.

“Should I forgive him?” asked Hermione, looking Harry straight in the eyes. He didn't answer. One part of him was telling him to keep his mouth shut. The other part wanted to tell Hermione what a big prat Ron was.

“Should I forgive Ron?” Harry shrugged.

“Do you think you should?” he asked. “Does he deserve it?”

“No way in hell does he deserve it, but I can't keep this up for long.”

“I don't believe that,” snickered Harry, remembering her argument with Ron in 6th year. Which involved attacking him with birds, taking a boy he hated to a dance to make him jealous, and who knows what else. Hermione shook her head, chuckling.

“Shut up Harry,” she sighed. She let go of his face and hugged her knees, still tightly grasping her wand. Harry shook his head.

“It depends, how much do you love him?” asked Harry quietly, a pang of annoyance rising in his chest as he said those words. His words had an effect on Hermione that he never would have expected. She whipped around, hair slapping him in the face.

“What did you say?” she asked eyes wide. Harry looked at her, a weird look in his eye. “You think that I love Ron?” She stressed Ron's name, a look of disbelief on her face.

“What you thought that I couldn't tell? I mean, ever since 4th year the signs have been there. Come on, I'm not as thick as you think I am,” stated Harry shortly, wondering why he was getting so testy with this subject. Hermione shook her head wildly.

“No no no, oh no Harry. You have it all wrong.” Harry snorted.

“Why are you so keen on hiding it? I mean, I understand if you don't want Ron to know. You can trust me with anything you kn-,”

“I DON'T LOVE RON!” spat Hermione nastily.

“But all of-,”

“Let me finish!” she exclaimed, taking a deep breath. “I admit that I liked Ron. Liked Ron. Never will I say that I was in love with him. Never. And right now I'm not too crazy about him.”

“But all last year you were jealous of Lavender! I thought you two hooked up over the summer!”

“Hooked up? What?” yelled Hermione. Harry put his hand over her mouth.

“Could you keep your voice down?” he asked. “You'll wake Won-Won up!” He removed his hand, and the next second Hermione started laughing insanely. Harry actually scooted back, afraid that Hermione had finally cracked.

“I-I for-forgot about that!” she laughed. “Won-W-Won!” She grabbed her stomach and kept laughing.

“Shh! Bloody hell Hermione! Quiet!” Hermione clapped her hand over her mouth, muffling the sound of her laughter.

“Sorry, but I totally forgot about that tart's nickname for Ron. Man…I needed that.” Hermione wiped her eyes and looked back at Harry. “I was stupid last year. I just freaked out when the only guy who ever really liked me got a girlfriend. I mean, I kind of liked him, but when I realized that my possible only chance was gone…. Well, you know how I acted. I'm half ashamed of it. As for us hooking up, no, that would never happen. Oh no. After Dumbledore's funeral, things changed, and I didn't really like it. It seemed like we began fighting even more. When I was at the Burrow before we collected you, Mrs. Weasley was trying to push me with Ron. Bit awkward really.” Hermione took a deep breath and closed her eyes. Harry stared at her, feeling an odd sense of hope, though he had no clue why.

“So you really don't like him?” asked Harry, dreading the answer.

“No, I really don't think I do. At least, not anymore. It's just…you know when you want something really bad, and once you get it...”

“It's not what you thought it would be,” replied Harry, nodding. “Yeah, I understand. Hermione let her eyes flutter open, and she stared up at the sky.

“Hermione?”

“Yes?”

“What is love anyway?” asked Harry quietly, voicing a question that had been stuck in his mind since the wedding. Hermione sighed heavily.

“I'm really not sure Harry.”

“Can you try to explain it? I mean, you had loving parents and family. I never had that. I really don't understand love. But you might have an inkling on what it is.”

“Why do you want to know?” asked Hermione in a monotone voice.

“Ummm…..well, at the Burrow, this summer, Ginny told me that she loved me,” blurted out Harry quickly. Hermione's head whipped around again, hitting Harry in the head again with her hair.

“Sh-She did?” she stuttered, looking at Harry with an odd stare. “Well, great! I am really happy for you two. She loves you and you love her. It's a happy ending isn't it?”

“I don't think so…because I'm not sure that I love her. That's why I need you to tell me what love is!” pleaded Harry.

“Fine!” snapped Hermione in an annoyed tone. “I'll try my best. Well, I guess, love is…well, uh, when you are very attracted to a certain person.”

“I could figure out that much Hermione.” Harry grinned at her, and Hermione laughed.

“Yeah, well, um, that person completes you. Knows everything there is to know about you. They are always there when you need them. And, uh, you don't have to be anything you are not with them. You don't have to worry about them judging you, because you know that whatever you do they will care for you. And whatever your flaws are, they will accept them, and, not let them see you in any different way. They'd give up their life for you to be happy, and, you just have that feeling of security. They connect into your life perfectly. And when you're with them, nothing else is important. It's just you and them.” She looked deeply into Harry's eyes.

“An n-nothing else matters…they'll always be yours…and you know that…” Hermione looked down at her shoes, fiddling with her shoelace.

“So that's love?”

“Yeah, I think so.”

“Then, I do not think that I love Ginny,” stated Harry. Hermione's heart leapt.

“Y-You don't?”

“No. I don't.”

“Why? I thought that she made you happy.”

“She did but, what you described, it didn't fit.”

“I could be wrong.”

“You've never been wrong before. I trust your insight to the fullest.” Hermione smiled. Luckily it was pitch back outside, so Harry couldn't see her blush.

“How do you know she's not the one?”

“By what you said. You said that they know everything about you. Well, we really didn't talk that much. How would she know who I am? She's not always there when I need someone. You're the one always there when I need a shoulder to cry on, or someone to talk to, not Ginny. Whenever I'm around her, I feel like I have to be overly cheerful, because she's like that. When I'm around you, I can be moody and depressed if I feel it, but I feel like I have to act for her. We never really judge each other, but sometimes I feel like `what would Ginny say if I actually did this?' You're the one that's always there ready to sacrifice yourself for me, not Ginny. She doesn't connect into my life, when I'm with her; I'm in a different life. And, yeah sometimes it is nice. But Harry Potter the Chosen one is part of me. I really don't want to loose it. Whenever I was with her, yeah I was happy, but at the same time I felt a bit empty, because I felt like a part of me was missing. And the happiness that I feel when I'm with her isn't like what you described. I never think `man, this girl is for me'. I guess, we just aren't meant to be together.”

Harry leaned his face into his hands. He could feel Hermione watching him. “And sometimes I wonder if she's in love with me, or The Boy Who Lived. I mean she doesn't really know me, so it must be my fame right? At least partially? You're the only one who really knows me, Hermione.”

Harry jumped up, hands leaving his face. He looked straight ahead, shock running through his veins. He could feel his body shaking; his head was spinning, realization hitting him fully in the chest. He felt a throbbing in his temple, and he quickly began to rub it. Hermione shifted over quickly and put an arm around his waist.

“Harry, are you alright? Is it your scar?” Harry shook his head, trying to rid his mind of the picture of his Riddle-self and Riddle-Hermione kissing. It was replaced by a picture of him and Hermione, walking by Hogwart's lake, talking and holding hands. Then, suddenly, Harry spun her around and kissed her right on the mouth. Harry could actually feel Hermione's lips on his own, his brain going fuzzy.

“Hermione- No, we can't,” he muttered softly. Hermione shrieked.

“Harry! Snap out of it!” yelled Hermione. Harry was still staring ahead, not able to hear his best friend, saying his voice into his ear as loud as she could without waking Ron. Waves of truth were hitting him one after the other. No. It-it couldn't be! No! Suddenly, Harry felt something fly against his face; Hermione had slapped him. Harry jumped, the picture of him and Hermione having a snog was gone, and instead he saw the forest clearing again. He turned around and looked at Hermione. Her eyes were wide with fear.

“Harry, is it him?” she whispered fearfully. Harry shook his head.

“No. It wasn't. I just dozed off. Headache you know.” Hermione looked at him skeptically, clearly not believing him.

“Headache?” she asked, raising her eyebrow. “You sure about that?”

“Yes,” exclaimed Harry. “It's nothing. I just dozed off.” Hermione studied him under one of her famous glares.

“Fine! Either way, I really think you should get some sleep. We need to leave early tomorrow. Okay?” Hermione stood up, hands on her hips, readying herself for a fight.

“Good. Great! Yeah I'll do that! I'll go inside. You. You stay here. I mean-someone has to stand guard. Yeah, I'll see you in the morning,” rambled Harry. He stood up, and lifted the tent hanging, dashing inside, leaving Hermione standing outside the tent, confused and bewildered.
