A friend of mine who had a similar problem inspired this story. I advised her to write it down since I thought it would make a nice story. When she refused I told her that I would do it if she didn’t. She seemed to like it, so I decided to share it with everyone. Normally I don’t do stories from other peoples POV, but it’s the only way this story really works. I made some changes to chapter 1 and added a second one from Harry's POV. It takes place in 6th year -- and Fred, George, Angelina and Alicia all pulled a Flint and got left back.

Dear Harry, I did not get the chance to tell you what I wanted to last night, so instead I’m leaving you with this note. Do you remember that evening by the lake when you told Ron and Hermione everything you knew about the prophecy? I was there, sitting on one of those branches in the beech tree above you. I know that I was the other boy Voldemort wanted to kill but he chose you instead. I know that you would have rather him chosen me then you – that’s why I stole Professor Mcgonogall’s Time Turner. I’m going back sixteen years to make everything right. I have nothing to live for, Harry, and you do. You have everything to live for. Expect things to change soon. - Neville

This fic was a one shot that I wrote while in the middle of a story I'm writing on The Snitch. I've finally moved it here. Although the original summary was just "Harry and Hermione have been dancing around each other for years. Now they're about to find their partners for the next dance - each other."
