Chapter Eighteen- Finding the Eagle

Harry hovered there in the air, thinking through what he was going to do. How was he meant to find Armarnd, when he didn't even know anything of this man? Harry had remembered seeing his Animagus trainer transform before them one day while at Grimmauld Place. If he could just find him and explain what was happening, maybe he'd be able to defeat Avlantia before it was too late. He circled the sky, gazing down at the battle scene with angry eyes. Many people had fallen since he'd last looked. But they were worse off. There was still the same amount as Death Eaters standing as there was teachers, students and order members, but the Death Eaters were more experienced. He spotted with his hawk eyes, a group of hooded Dementors closing in on two people near the castle wall. He squinted and spotted a flaming red hair. Ron. With out thinking, he dove from the sky, straight at the pack of soul sucking fiends. He morphed into a human, and began to feel the impenetrable coldness chilling his bones. He heard Ron shouting over and over again, “Not Claire, don't touch her!” Harry gritted his teeth and pointed his wand at the dangerously close Dementors.

“Happy thoughts!” he hissed, “EXPECTO PATRONUM!” a giant, silver stag erupted form his wand. It charged at the Dementors, pushing them back with its silver antlers. Hermione was quivering and pale, she looked almost good compared to Ron he was cowering on the ground, scratching at his head.

“Ron?” Harry said unevenly, stretching out a hand to touch his shoulder. He drew away. He turned his eyes to Harry's. There was a fear like Harry had never seen building in them. “They're-back!” was all he managed to say, grinding his teeth and pulling at his hair.

“It's ok, Ron, its ok now, they're gone!” Harry tried to comfort his best friend. Hermione was looking at them with teary eyes, having no idea what Ron was talking about.

“But-but, where's Claire?” he whimpered, staring at him with those strange, fear filled eyes. Harry glanced around, not knowing what to do. “Ron, it's me, Harry! Its alright now, Claire is gone. You are Ron, not whoever you think you are! You have a sister!” Harry said, trying to get the old Ron back.

“I know I have a sister-my sister is Claire!” he said, choking on invisible tears looking up at him confoundedly. Hermione sniffed.

“Harry, what's wrong with him? Where's Voldemort and-and Avlantia?” she said, struggling to stand. Harry shook his head.

“I'll explain about Ron later, Voldemort is fighting with Dumbledore, and Avlantia is with Tyson. I have to find Armarnd! Help me with Ron!” he said, rather quickly. Hermione nodded, still having no clue on what was going on. When they had managed to pull Ron up, he gazed around in confusion.

“I have to find my sister, I have to find CLAIRE!” he said loudly, trying to pull away from Harry and Hermione.

“No, Ron, Claire is gone-!”

“SHE”S NOT GONE, AND STOP CALLING ME RON!” he yelled, finally getting away. He gave a last fleeting look at the two worried friends before turning on his heel and dashing back down the slope, screaming out for Claire to come back.

“Go with him, Hermione! Keep him safe, be safe! I have to find Armarnd, no time to explain!” she stared at him, tears streaking down her cheeks. She opened her mouth to speak. “NO! I'll be fine, go get Ron, please! And keep safe!” he said. Hermione nodded and leant in. They shared a few seconds of a goodbye kiss, before Hermione took off down the grounds in search of their red-headed friend. Harry savored the kiss, thinking it could be the last time he touched Hermione. He stopped himself from thinking such things and set out to figure away to get to Armarnd. There was a high pitched scream echoing around the grounds, from the direction Hermione had just ran. Harry growled, and bolted after her, as a black wolf.

He soon found the source of the scream. Hermione was standing, petrified staring before her. Harry soon spotted Voldemort, holding Ron up by the neck. Dumbledore was close by, but captured in a red web. He was yelling at Voldemort to release Ron, but he wasn't listening. A sickened sort of smile was present on Voldemort's lips, as he choked Harry's friend. He howled and streaked forward, ignoring the shouts form Tyler who was standing in front of Avlantia, who was smiling triumphantly at the Dark Lord. Voldemort looked up to see Harry almost gliding towards him, and grinned. He tossed Ron to the side and drew his wand. He smirked and hissed two words. A green flash was heading towards him, and all he could think of was finding Armarnd some how before everyone was killed. He didn't even notice the green light before it was too late. He growled and kept running, unable to stop.

But he kept running, even after the green killing curse should have hit him. He ran into something solid, slamming his head forcefully. He pulled himself off a concrete ground as Harry the Human. He looked around. The solid wall he'd slammed into was the side of a great building. He looked around to find a group of people staring at him, nonplussed. He caught the familiar appearance of Armarnd Bytin. He jumped forward towards him, ignoring the pain in his leg and now throbbing forehead.

“Harry-what?” his Animagus Trainer began but Harry cut him across.

“You have to come! Avlantia is at Hogwarts, Tyson's with her, but he needs you, I know you're Ashir! You have to come!” Armarnd looked at him with blankness, but a light lit in his deep blue eyes.

“Take me there!” he said plainly. Harry nodded quickly, morphing into a wolf and watching Armarnd transform into an eagle. He latched onto Harry's hair onto his back, squeezing hard for him to go. Harry didn't know what he was supposed to do, but he began to ran, full pelt down the street. People were yelling at the peculiar sight. Some, what looked like tourists, were snapping away with cameras. Harry only saw glimpses, as he was running so fast now everything was a blur.

“I have to get to Tyson! I have to get to Tyson!” were his thoughts as he ran forward. He wasn't fast enough to spot the car in front of him it was beeping madly. It swerved to miss the canine, but there was no need; they were already gone.

They returned to the battle scene of Hogwarts. It hadn't changed. They swerved to a stop in front of Dumbledore's webbed prison. He felt Armarnd leave his back, as he transformed back by Hermione's side. Avlantia stepped forward, her eyes alive with malice as she stared at Armarnd.

“Ashir, my love, my sweet, my one and only! You have joined me again, but not in time I'm afraid, as our poor friend has had an accident!” she pointed, laughing, at the form of Tyson McCloud lying to the side. His eyes were closed, and his mouth was hanging open. Armarnd-Ashir leapt forward to the ground to his life-long friend. He placed his hands to the side of his face and bowed his head. He then stepped up slowly and his features immediately began to change. Where his rough brown hair had been, was now sweeping raven black hair, which reached down to his lower back. In the light form the setting sun, it shown deep blue. His eyes were the same color but a tint of green had been mixed in. He stared hardly at Abagale.

“I have shown my true form, Abagale, now its time to show your own.” He said. Avlantia smiled at him and clicked her elegant fingers. Her white hair shortened to shoulder length and began to grow blond. Her eyes turned to brown and her skin began a bit creamier. She smiled, showing off her white teeth and plum red lips. Ashir nodded and turned to his left. Everyone gasped to find Tyson McCloud standing beside his elf-friend, in his true form. His hair was short and scruffy and a deep red. His eyes were an extremely light, pale green. He brushed off his cloak and placed a hand on Ashir's shoulder.

“It's good to see you, brother.” Then they turned to Abagale, both looking sternly at her, anger flaring in their eyes. Abagale looked at Tyson with confused eyes, and then she grinned.

“I should have known, Ashir that you would have managed to share immortality with Tyson somehow. Now, down to business!” she raised her hand to them, but did nothing. Voldemort was cackling madly. Dumbledore was still trapped with no way out, yet. Harry had been sneaking closer to the web, spells flashing through his mind. He knew no spell he had in his head would be strong enough to break Voldemort's, but he had to try something. He then thought of what his headmaster had told him last year. About Harry's secret power. A light switched on in his head. He had to use his emotions to unlock the webbed cage. He thought of Hermione and Ron and Sirius. He thought of love and directed it at the cage, pushing with it hatred and anger. There was a sudden blearing of white light. Out of the white mist stood Albus Dumbledore. Harry heard pained yelling; he turned to see Voldemort clutching his head. Dumbledore smiled slightly, nodded and turned to complete what he had been doing. Harry now turned his attention back to Ashir and Tyson, staring at Abagale with her outstretched hand.

He didn't see the figure standing behind him, ready to strike. While his eyes had been diverted back to Ashir, the figure dove, pulling Harry's Ron form his hand. A blue beam shot from the wand, hitting Hermione in the chest. She crumbled to the ground, blood spilling from her robes. Harry screamed and lashed out at Bellatrix Lestrange, who was lying on the ground with a nose bleed after Harry had elbowed her. She cackled madly, staring with glee at the bleeding Hermione. Harry yelled, drawing his wand to the woman who he hated so much. But before he could utter a curse, a red light hit her. Harry turned to see a very disgruntled looking Ron pointing his wand at her. He smiled meekly then his eyes landed on Hermione.

He rushed forward, but only to be blasted backwards and into Ron. Lucius Malfoy and two other unknown Death Eaters stood over them, all smirking.

“We have got him, master-!” but he too was shot down with a stunner fires from Harry's hand. He didn't need his wand which had been blasted through the air and into a bush. The other tow fired spells at them, which he and Ron blocked easily after having many training sessions for this thing. They soon were lying upon the ground with Malfoy. Harry and Ron scrambled over to their fallen friend. She was breathing, but barely.

“I hope this works………furl!” Harry said, pointing it at Hermione's chest. Bandages shot from his wand and wrapped around her injured chest. She remained lying down, but her breathing became steady. “Watch her!” he said quietly to Ron. He stood and walked over to where Voldemort and Dumbledore were talking.

“You can not win here today, Tom!” Dumbledore said calmly, not noticing Harry step up to his side, but Voldemort did.

“Oh, look. The famous Harry Potter has come to fight the strongest wizard in the world by the side of his headmaster! How noble!” he said humorously. Dumbledore flicked his eyes to Harry.

“You should not be here, Harry! Go and take your friends with you. The ministry should be here momentarily, until then I have to take care of Tom! Please, go, Harry!” Harry didn't move. He raised his hand to his front, pointing it straight at Voldemort.

“No!” he said angrily. His head and blood pumped with anger, he could feel it surging through his finger tips and out in front like small lightning bolts. Dumbledore looked into his eyes and nodded, an understanding coming into his eyes. Voldemort looked into Harry's emerald eyes and an odd realization came over him. He smiled, even though there was a strange look of something like fear in his eyes.

“This boy thinks he's special because he can use Soul Magic. Hate to burst your bubble, potter, but so can I” Voldemort flicked his wrist and a red bolt shot at Harry. He waved it away with a flick of his finger, sending a cloud of purple lightning rods at it. He felt so much anger in his chest. He could taste it; he could feel what he wanted to do to this monster so badly.

“My parents were killed, Sirius was killed, Cedric was killed was killed, so many people have died at the hands of you!” he said, sending more bolts of electricity out of his fingers. “My friends have been hurt, Hermione was almost killed, and Ron almost went insane. This has all happened because of you! And it all is because of me. You are after me! And that is because of a stupid, pathetic prophecy. You don't even now what the last of it said, but I do.” Harry glared at Voldemort, breaking into his mind, although he didn't know how. He flicked pictured of Sybil Trelawney speaking the prophecy into Voldemort's head. The monsters red eyes opened in shock, but closed to slits. He tried to break into Harry's, but Harry was holding his shield up with love. Voldemort gasped, and clutched at his head.

“You are but a boy! I have killed thousands older and more advanced than you. I don't know how you survived when you were a child, but it was because of your stupid, mudblood mother with her `love'-!” Harry yelled, lashing forward with a fast Crucius Curse; he didn't even now he had that curse in mind. Voldemort pushed it aside with his hand. “But that was all she was, Potter, a mudblood and so is your stupid, filthy, little girlfriend!” he shot a Crucius curse towards where Ron was with Hermione. Harry put up a shield and blocked the curse.

“I think you should leave, Tom.” Dumbledore spoke, placing a hand on Harry's shoulder. Suddenly there was a tremendous screaming. They turned and looked at where Abagale, Ashir and Tyson were. Abagale was on the ground, on her knees screaming her loudest, clasping her hands over her ears.

“STOP IT! STOP IT! YOU DON'T MEAN IT! YOU LOVE ME, NOT HER!” she was yelling, while Ashir and Tyson stood over her.

“I loved Saydi and my children. I only liked you as a friend, Abagale. We felt sorry for you all those years ago at Hogwarts. I never have and never will love you as much as I love my wife, Wade and Elindor. You are nothing to me. You are not my love, and nor am I yours!” that was enough for Abagale. She screamed and rose from her kneeling position. She rose in the air, her long, white her was back, as were her eyes and skin. She cackled, her eyes were white and staring, the exact of what had possessed Hermione.

“You will love me! You have and forever will love me!” she screamed and began swirling through the air. Ashir stepped forward.

“No I won't. You are nothing to me! Saydi was my life and my love as were my children. Since you have stolen my entire life from me, I will take yours!” with that he began an incantation, which sounded familiar to Harry. He had glimpses of a high, dark tower, with wind whipping by his sides. Avlantia was screaming. Voldemort rushed forward, completely ignoring Dumbledore and Harry. He was yelling and thrashing around with his hands, firing spells in every direction, trying to hit the two immortals. But none did. Harry and Dumbledore had placed up shields. Suddenly, with a large blinding flash of white light, Avlantia was gone, only a soft, white mist remained. Voldemort yelled, and began to fire the killing curse in every direction. Ashir and Tyson were dodging them, here and there .Ashir was a second too slow and a spell was heading straight to him. Not even his elf immortality could stop the Avarda Kedavra. Just when the spell was about to hit, the was a flash, and he was lying on the ground, alive and well. He scrambled over to his friend who was lying to his side, eyes open and a brave smile on his lips.

Tyson McCloud had saved Ashir. He had taken the Avarda Kedavra Curse.
