Return to me
1. Chapter 1
Hey guys, I’m really sorry that I haven’t been updating lately, my muses for my other stories seem to have disappeared and I can’t find them but I have a new muse at the moment for this story.
I want to tell you all before you read that its kinda a AU fic, I’m not following the book except from the memories in order to create the mood I’m trying to make and I’m really sorry if you are confused in this chapter.
And second This is dedicated to my friend Rachel! She’s the one who suggested this story for me and I’m extremely grateful for her, so here it is Rachel! Hope you enjoy it!
NOTHING IS MINE! They are all being borrowed and I will put them back in their box after playing with them!
Hermione looked out of her bedroom window as the rain splattered on the window pane, tears ran down her face as her forehead leaned on the pain as she tried desperately to keep her heartbreak inside her, to not show any weakness.
Mrs Granger watched from the doorway as her daughter looked so lost and confused, she looked so heartbroken and she knew very well that her daughter’s heart was breaking in millions of little pieces because this just had to happen.
#Cool breeze and autumns leaves
Slow motions daylight
A lone pair of watchful eyes
Oversee the living
Feel the presence all around
A tortured soul
A wound unhealing
No regrets or promises
The past is gone
But you can still be free
If time will set you free#
Ron was sitting on his bed, looking out of the window, he was in a stunned shock at what happened, he couldn’t believe it, he didn’t want to believe it but the proof was right in front of him, sitting on the table.
#Time now to spread your wings
To take to flight
This life endeavour
Aim for the burning sun
You're trapped insideBut you still can be free
If time will set you free
If time will set you free
But's a long long way to go#Molly was sitting in the kitchen, staring into space, she was angry, upset, confused, all of the above, she didn’t know what to feel and it made her more lost than before.
Arthur was standing outside, he needed the air, he needed to clear his mind and try and get over what happened, it shouldn’t have happened but it did and there was nothing anyone could do.
#Keep moving way up high
You see the light
It shines forever
Sail through the crimson skies
The purest light
The light that sets you free
If time will set you free#
Dumbledore was sitting in his office, staring at the letter that was in his hand as a trickle of tear fell down his face, he couldn’t believe that this had what had come to, his own foolishness had caused this.
Mc Gonagall was walking along the corridor, she needed the walk, she needed something to get her mind of everything that happened, it shouldn’t have happened her brain argued with her but it did.
Hermione was looking in the mirror, she was brushing her hair that was straight, and she wasn’t there at all. She didn’t want to be there.
Ron knocked on the doorway, Hermione turned to face the door way with a look of hope but it diminished, Ron didn’t take it personally, he felt the same as her.
“It’s time to go.” Ron said, Hermione shook her head as she turned back to the mirror.
“I don’t want to go.” Hermione stated with a shaky voice.
“I know sweetie, but we have to.” Ron explained as he squatted down next to her chair, Hermione looked down.
“But if I go, it means that he’s not coming back and I can’t deal with it. I love him Ron and I can’t lose him.” Hermione exclaimed with tears running down her face, Ron took her hand and squeezed it.
“I know sweetie, I love him too and we haven’t lost him, he’ll always be with us.” Ron stated as he got up and helped her out of her room and into the car.
“We are gathered here to day to say goodbye to Harry Potter, the boy who lived.” The vicar greeted.
Hermione was sitting next to Lupin, he was holding her hand as she sobbed while looking at the casket of Harry lying there. Ron was sitting with Ginny as she sobbed into his shirt at the fact that she had lost someone who was like a brother to her.
“It’s a terrible tragedy that Harry, who was filled with life, to have his life cut short, especially by this mysterious killer. We have a few people who would like to say a few words before we move on.” The vicar explained as he looked down then back up. “Ronald Weasley would like to say a few words.” The vicar called out and moved backward as Ron took the altar.
“Harry was my best friend, we became best friend in our first year coming to Hogwart. He was amazing, everything he had been through, all the death that had seen, and he still managed to stay Harry Potter. He hated it when people looked at his scar but just shrugged it off after his first year, knowing that these people didn’t really know him.
Harry saved my life on a lot of occasion, he would save you no matter what, that was Harry, once you’ve earned his trust, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for you. He was extremely brave, modest, he never let the fame get to his head and I admit I was jealous of him at some times but now when I look back, I am ashamed of that and I wish that had more time to tell him just how much I thank him for coming into my life.” Ron explained and sat back down.
“Remus Lupin is next.” The vicar called out and Lupin went up.
“Harry was the son of my two best friends, they died saving his life and now he had died. I loved Harry, I really did and I wished I had the chance to tell him that but it’s too late, I just wish that I had more time with him but sadly, fate took him away, why? We will never know, why did he have to die at the hand of someone that none of us know? He was filled with life, even when he was hurting, he always knew when someone else was in pain and seek out to solve that pain for them. He was a special person, he was one of a kind as you do not see these kind of people around anymore. My only hope is that Harry is now peaceful where ever he is with his parents and Sirius.” Lupin choked out between tears as he sat down.
Hagrid was next.
“I saved Harry from the Dursley in his first year, he made me very proud of him, he was the son I never had. You couldn’t help but love Harry when you first meet him, had the quality to make you feel at ease, you could be yourself and he wouldn’t judge you. Harry had been through so much yet it was amazing how he turned out, he turned out to be a great man, better than any other man I have ever met and I must say it was a pleasure to meet the real Harry Potter. Rest in Peace Harry, wherever you are.” Hagrid stated as he looked heavenward then sat back down as McGonagall comforted him.
“Harry was an amazing young man, I saw him as he faced danger every year at his school, first year he saved the stone from Voldemort, he saved the world, second year he saved young Ginny Weasley from Voldemort’s clutches, third year he saved his god father from a fate worth than death. Fourth year he went through hell yet came back to us to save us once more and in fifth year he went through hell once more, he saw his god father die right before his eyes, he saw his parents being taken from him, Cedric being taken from him, Sirius being taken from him and now he had been taken from us, why? We’ll probably never know.
Harry was a remarkable man, I only wish that we could have seen how amazing he would have turned out but alas, fate had taken him from us.” Dumbledore stated and sat back down. Hermione stood up and moved toward the Altar and took a deep breath as faced the entire audience.
“Harry was my best friend too, he saved me from the troll in our first year, the basilisk in our second year, the Dementors in our third year, he came back to tell us that Voldemort was back in our fourth year and he tried so hard to protect me in our fifth year. Everyone saw Harry Potter as the Boy who lived but not me, I saw more than that. I saw a lost little boy who didn’t have a clue who he was and where he was going. When we became best friend I grew to love him, at first it was a friendship love but as we grew up, it became more, I fell in love with him and I just regret that I never told him how much he meant to me.” Hermione stated, her voice dead and her eyes lifeless, she walked away from the Altar and walked over to the Casket.
Harry was lying there, he looked do peaceful yet so pale. She leaned in and kissed his cheek then his lips.
“I love you Harry James Potter, I always have and always will. No one will ever replace you in my life, just know that.” Hermione whispered and kissed him once more before storming off outside where the rain continued to pour, crying their pain out for the young man who had been through so much and died.
#Sail through the wind and rain tonight
You're free to fly tonight
And you can still be free
If time will set you free
And going higher than mountain tops
And go high the wind don't stop
And go high#
Everyone sobbed as the casket was being buried under the ground, each person grabbed a handful of dirt and threw it on top of the coffin, a Gryffindor flag was placed on top of the coffin, Hermione kissed a white rose and threw it into the coffin as the dirt was being piled on top.
“Ashes to ashes, may you rest in peace Young Harry Potter.” The vicar stated as they all moved away, Hermione looked at her best friend’s grave and walked off while everyone watched with a heavy heart as they watched the young woman walk away from everything she believed in and they all walked back to the Weasley’s house to have something to eat while mourning for Harry.
Harry’s casket was buried under the ground, his tomb read ‘Here lies Harry James Potter, best friend and son, rest in peace for eternal.’
Hermione walked up to the stone and crouched down, her hair matted to her head from the rain, her tears mixing with rain.
“Harry I can’t do it, I can’t move on. I love you too much to let you go. I need you to come back to Me.” Hermione sobbed, she placed a kiss on her fingers then pressed it to the cold stone, hoping that some way it would make him come back, she waited a few minutes but nothing happed.
#Free to fly tonight
Free to fly tonight#
She stood up and started to walk away when all of a sudden a hand shot out and covered her mouth while the other one wrapped around her waist.
“You are coming with me to see my dark lord, he’s been waiting to kill you for awhile and it’s time.” He hissed into her ear as he disapparated to his master’s lair.
Hermione closed her eyes as she waited for her fate, she only hoped it was quick and painless.
Meanwhile thunder rolled in the Graveyard, there was a flash of lighting as the ground began to shake, a hand shot out from the ground and firmly planted itself on the ground as the other hand shot out and did the same.
There was a groaning sound as the earth began to creak, a head popped out from the ground as the figure grunted while lifting itself out of the ground.
The figure stood up and looked off into the same direction the kidnapper took Hermione.
“Mione.” The figure growled, the lightning flashed once more and it showed the face of a murderous Harry Potter, he had come back from the dead to unleash his revenge and to protect Hermione like he promised just before he died.
