Ginny's Secret
6. Hermione's Attack (chapter 6)
Malfoy grabbed his coat and went to Hogsmeade, he first got a butterbeer. Then, he thought of where Ginny would be. He looked in the three broomsticks, no sign of her. He looked in Madame Rosmerta's Pub, still no sign of her! He tried Madame Pudifoots and The lone beanstalk, yet there was NO sign of her.
He sat down on a bench and decided to go back to the three broomsticks and get drunk on butterbeer, this was a stupid idea. Then, he heard some giggling behind him. He turned around and there was a redhead on the ground with somebody tickling her. He got up and got a closer look, but the person tickling the girl said, “Oi! You git, get away from this private make out place, you don't have a partner!”
When Draco heard this he stalked around looking for Ginny and he found her. She was sitting next to Colin and Colin was talking to her about how he knew all the constellations and what they meant. ` That Prat, he is such a suck up!' Thought Malfoy.
“Colin, I have to be totally honest with you, I thought you were just somebody with the brains, but I see you're MUCH more. I LOVE the stars, they're my absolute favorite thing in the whole world! Yet, I know that you're interested in me, but I really don't fell it, it would be better if we stay friends,” whispered Ginny.
`Yes YES YES!!!!!!! I knew it, if she likes stars, I'll give her stars!' Thought Draco and then he ran out of the bush and towards the castle. His plan would take weeks and the school year had just begun!
The hospital Wing
“Malfoy? MALFOY! Where are you? You never miss a medicine day! You HAVE to take your medicine! MALFOY!” said Ginny as she walked around the deserted hospital.
Malfoy quickly burst through the doors and saw Ginny there. He straightened his hair out of habit and started to laugh.
“What is so funny? That you almost scared me out of my wits?” asked Ginny with a furious expression on her face.
“No, it's just-you'll see. Weasley, gimme the potion!” said Draco, petulantly.
“That attitude will get you nowhere! Now sit down and you can take your precious potion, and hurry up. I have to be someplace very soon!” said Ginny, she hadn't gotten her apparating license yet.
“Oh, does this have to do with your sadness?” asked Draco, in a nonchalant tone.
“I'm warning you, don't use those words loosely!” said Ginny in a strict tone.
“Yes Ma'am!” said Draco and then he cracked up.
“What?! Are you DRUNK or something? You are acting VERY strange!” said Ginny.
Draco looked around as if he were about to tell her something secret and then he answered `YES' in a hushed voice. Draco then tore off the bed sheet.
She had the most curious expression on her face, one of disgust and shock. She immediately pulled away.
“Draco! You are way too drunk! What have you been doing?” asked Ginny, she was GOING to slap him.
“You-You said my name!” said Draco and he was point at her as he swayed back and forth.
“Of course I said your name; I always say your name! Oh, you mean I called you Draco! Well, I only say that when I'm mad at you!” said Ginny. Malfoy swayed some more and fell out of the window he was staring through. Ginny immediately grabbed his hand.
“DRACO! I'm going to pull you up now! Give me your other hand!” ordered Ginny. Draco obeyed and when she pulled him out he fell (PLOP) on top of her. They stayed that way for a couple of moments and Malfoy got up and walked out of the Hospital silently. He was stopped by Ginny, though.
“Oh no you don't! Nobody walks out of this Hospital drunk! Come here and I'll give you some medicine. This is why I only have one glass of wine and nothing else! You make me sick!” said Ginny as she went to get his medicine.
Malfoy gulped down the potion and forgot everything that happened when he was drunk (Ginny did that!) and he fell asleep. Ginny decided to leave him there for the night and then he would be Madame Pomfrey's problem in the morning. She ran out of the Hospital to go to her meeting with the DA. Yes, they still had them even though Voldemort was gone, because there were still death eaters.
The morning
Draco got up and saw he was still at the hospital wing. Since he didn't remember that he almost died last night, he assumed he fell asleep after drinking his medicine. He got up and saw a note on the table. It read…..
Dear Malfoy,
If you are reading this I guess you aren't drunk anymore and the potion is working. Last night you came to the hospital wing drunk and you fell out the window, I pulled you out. I gave you some potion that made you forget it all so you don't know this. I believed you had the right to know.
Sincerely yours,
Ginny Weasley
After Draco read the letter he yearned to go to Ginny and thank her for saving his life, but he had to go to potions class.
“Now today I will be teaching you how to make Verutiserum, but with a twist. You will make Herutiserum, this is where one person can only tell lies” said Professor Snape in potions.
“Um, sir, does anybody have to drink it?” asked Neville.
“Not unless you volunteer, Longbottom” answered Snape and the whole class broke into laughter.
When the class started trying the potion themselves, Madame Limon (A/N She is the new messenger at Hogwarts and she is an added character) came inside and gave a message.
“Very well, thank you Madame, Draco,” said Snape, “You have to go to the painting of Herbier the Heir and somebody is meeting you there”.
When Draco got there, he saw Ginny and she abruptly told him that she had to cancel today's hospital meet and she gave the vial to him to take. She said that she was sore and tired and felt like relaxing. Draco took the vial and left, even though he wanted to talk to her, she was clearly in no state to talk and he had to get back to the dungeons.
Draco started planning his plan for Ginny during lunch. He was going to go to the forbidden tower (A/N this tower is parallel from the astronomy tower, I thought it would be a bit more exciting.) and he knocked out half the wall with some magic. They had a clear view of the lake and beautiful Scotland. He took a small oval out from his pocket and put it down on the ground on top of a red-checkered table cloth. Just like a muggle picnic, but all the food served itself and everything floated. He changed the background of the tower to a star-filled sky, to make the theme more real. Then, he went to Ginny to see if she was feeling better. When he got there, he hid behind a wall and listened as she talked to somebody.
“Oh no! Hermione has been attacked? I think I know who did it! Where is she, I need to talk to her, I knew I should've warned her earlier!” said Ginny to some unknown person. Draco leaned over to see Ginny talking to Harry, he quickly pulled back and got a huge headache with the thoughts dashing through his head now.
Draco thought, `What? Hermione-attacked-Ginny-Harry!? It must've been that Jason guy who she over heard long time ago! Man, he was serious, I need to put a stop to this, he is going to hurt Ginny next! But, what about the picnic and the tower? What am I supposed to do with the set up, it took me hours! I'll have to postpone it till tomorrow! Man, this was really important though. But Hermione is a clever (as much as I hate to admit it) witch and she is usually not vulnerable, and her being attacked it very rare! I gotta go now!'
Draco ran up to the tower, shrunk it inside a trunk and put the trunk in his pocket. He heard footsteps coming up, he hid himself with a cloaking device he learned how to do by his father.
“Yes, yes I know it will take months, but we have to get this done soon! Or else Jason will transform and blow into pieces again and I can't live without my son for 60 years again! He can't be reborn again, it is too complicated! We just have to go along with his plan, make him think that those innocent people are dead! Now, Arthur, I understand you don't want your son to die, and we won't let him, but you have to make a few sacrifices now and then!” came the………Minister of Magic's voice?
(A/N yes, I know it is a cut off, I'll copy the last paragraph in the second chapter, that way you won't get confused!)
