1. Chapter 1
Photographs::::::::Chapter 1
“Harry, we leave for Godric's Hollow in 24 hours,” said Hermione. She was so freaked out about leaving the world and chasing Voldemort. Lately, she had been talking like a person in the army.
“Don't you mean in 1400 hours?” said Ron as he appeared in the doorway. Ron's room was very neat these days since he was in it less and less. His family always said that he was `drifting away' like Fred and George.
“Ron, have you seen my blue scarf?” asked Hermione as Ron walked into his room. Hermione got over Ron; obviously he isn't going to make a move.
“I don't track your clothing!” said Ron, offended.
“Sorry,” scoffed Hermione, she walked out of the room and moments later the two boys heard her in the next room talking to Ron's sister, Ginny.
“So, Harry, where are we going to go after Godric's Hollow?” asked Ron.
“I'm not really sure,” said Harry, scratching his chin.
“RONALD WEASLEY! Come down here and clean up this mess!” shouted Mrs. Weasley from downstairs.
“Got to go!” said Ron with a mischievous smile. Harry could have sworn that Ron developed some of Fred and George's cunningness over the years.
Harry was alone and lonely again. He was fumbling with a key when is dropped. He peeked under the bed.
“Oh man, it's going to take me hours to find it in this mess!” shouted Harry irritatingly. He started rummaging through the mess he had added to since the first time he slept on top of this bed. He was about to start looking on the carpet when something scratched his finger.
“OUCH!” shouted Harry in agony. He pulled out a box with a nail sticking out and it was made of plain oak. It had no name, no carvings. Just a box. He opened it and found pictures. A nice stack of pictures.
“Hey, I remember these!” said Harry. It was pictures that he had taken during summers. He walked over to the door and shut it. He locked the door and sat down on his bed where the pictures were.
The first picture was the summer after his first year in Hogwarts. It was Hermione, Harry, and Ron at the Burrow before the second year. They were in front of the flying car and Fred and George were playing Quidditch with Harry. Hermione was reading a book and Ron was trying out his Blade Blaster on the grass.
* FLASHBACK*
“Honestly, Ron, you won't be able to cut anything with those blunt blades. Besides, it was a waste of money! You could've bought some new ink or quills!” scoffed Hermione. Ron gave her a look and she shot a scowl right back at him.
Harry was zooming around on his broom and Fred and George kept on throwing the goat bladder at his broom.
“Harry, your whole back is covered with goop, you might as well quit and go take a shower!” taunted Fred. George cackled and swiftly flew up in front of Harry and they were face to face.
“Come on, let me have a go!” pleaded George.
“No, the last time you had a `go' you stole my broom and it took me hours to get it back!” shouted Harry and flew in the opposite direction of Fred. George tailed him.
“OK, kids! Dinnertime! Hermione, don't read in this light, you'll spoil your eyes!” said Mrs. Weasley motheringly. Hermione shut her book and scrambled in after the four boys.
*End Flashback
Harry smiled. That was the summer Dobby shut him and Ron out of the barrier.
He picked up the second photograph. It was Christmas time in their second year.
Hermione and Ginny were making snow angels. Fred and George were having a snowball fight and Ron and Harry were creating snowmen of everybody. The snowmen that were already made were the whole Weasley family. Then, they made Harry and Hermione. Harry's scar was made out of twigs. In the picture they were still creating Hagrid. Harry was on Ron's shoulders, trying to make Hagrid's head.
Harry gulped at the person that was already made. Dumbledore was standing next to the headless Hagrid. Harry always became quiet at the subject of Dumbledore. Exactly how he used to be quiet at the subject of Sirius.
*Flashback
“Time to decorate!” shouted Ron, Harry was gathering a bunch of Gerome Leaves. They were red, used for the Weasleys' hair. The gathered the black tree shedding for Harry and Hagrid's hair. They used stoned for noses and sticks for mouths. Mr. Weasley was made half bald and they used Hermione's ponytail holder for Bill's hair. Fred and George were very hard, considering the fact that they have to look EXACTLY the same!
“Harry, pass my some twigs!” bellowed Ron over the squeals of the girls. They made all the Weasleys wear their winter jumpers. Ron finished the F and G on Fred and George's shirts and moved onto Percy. For Percy, they just put a pencil on the side of his head and a prefect's badge out of some yellow flowers that managed to survive.
“Ron, how are we supposed to make Ginny?” shouted Harry. Ginny blushed at the mention of her name. At that time, she had a huge crush on Harry.
“Oh, just make long hair like Bill's and put a scarf on her!” said Ron as he spent extra time on himself. Then, they added all the freckles. They used a twig to poke holes in their heads.
Charlie had scars on him and they actually drew a miniature dragon on his shirt.
“Let's move onto Hermione! Go get some pine needles for her hair!” said Ron. Hermione frowned at the rough pine needles Harry had gathered. For Harry, Harry took off his glasses and placed the on the snowman. They put a scarf around everybody. Then, they moved onto Dumbledore. They had found an old, ripped and fading cloak in the snow and they put it on the tall snow figure. They glued some leaves together with magic to make a hat and placed it on Dumbledore's head.
They smiled at their creations and moved on to Hagrid.
*End Flashback
Harry laughed at that day. It was very fun, including the fact that they barely received any homework in their second year, so they actually had the time to do all of that. He moved on to the next picture, which was a little less happy.
It was when he was in his room in the Leaky Cauldron after blowing up his Aunt Marge. The Monster Book of Monsters was eating some of Harry's napkins. Harry had stolen a wanted sign of Sirius Black and was staring at it. He ripped it up and threw into the bowl for the book to eat. The book was delighted and leapt into the bowl.
A/N I don't need to do a flashback for this picture.
Harry sighed. His godfather was still out there. If only he knew the truth, he could have spent more time with Sirius before he…passed away. Harry hastily moved onto the next picture.
This one was a bit different than the others, not really a memorable moment.
It took place during school in their third year. Harry was looking out of the window. Harry remembered that was when he sat Crookshanks with the big, shaggy dog. Then, he didn't know that it was Sirius Black.
Ron was playing wizards chess with Dean. But Harry saw why this picture was really taken. He squinted and saw Neville leaving the room with the note of passwords on it. Scabbers was nowhere to be seen.
*FLASHBACK
“Hey! Well I have got a better move. Knight to E5!” said Ron, he chuckled when his knight practically tore apart the Bishop.
“Not fair, that was a good Bishop! He ate his peas,” said Dean. Dean was looking up at his football (soccer) poster and then at his broomstick.
“Hey, Ron, want to learn how to play football?” asked Dean. Ron was dumbfounded.
“What's that? Is it a muggle thing?” asked Ron. He groaned when Dean nodded. He was sick of muggle things after his dad.
“Fine, then, I won't teach you! But it's just as fun as Quidditch. But…if you don't want to…I guess I could ask someone who isn't a coward!” said Dean. Dean must've done this on purpose because Ron jumped up and agreed. Ron didn't like to be called a coward! He practically fought Voldemort!
“I'll get the ball!” said Dean with a smile on his face.
Harry was still looking out the window into the night. This was the second time he saw those two animals together. This time is didn't come as much of a shock as last time. He thought they became friends and did it every night.
“Want to go join them, Harry?” asked Dean. Harry agreed, he looked out the window once more before getting up. They had disappeared.
*End Flashback.
Harry still wondered what Crookshanks was doing with an animagus. Yes, he knew he was helping Sirius. But, how can they talk? It doesn't matter anymore, though. Sometimes Harry always thought Crookshanks was an animagus himself.
Harry moved onto the next picture, but he immediately dropped it at one glance. He couldn't believe what he was looking at! He had never seen this picture, and he never remembered being in that place!
