Updates
- September 2026
The archive has been completely rebuilt to make it easier to maintain in the future.
We've re-imported all of the stories from our original crawl, a community dump of stories, and the Internet Archive Wayback Machine.
There are several new features:
- An improved mobile design
- Settings in the reading view (press the "Aa" button on mobile), such as a font choice, text size options, and spacing options
- Better search & filtering views
- A list of Incomplete stories - showing the information we have for each one
- Updated EPUB, HTML and text downloads for every story, including better compatibility with Apple Books
- More stories in the archive, and fixes for formatting issues & corrupted special characters
- 16 May 2025
There was an outage that lasted a few days because of a DNS issue. I've set up better monitoring to catch this kind of thing faster in the future! Sorry about the downtime!
- 1 August 2023
There was a succession of small outages last night due to a database server failure. That's been fixed!
- 6 August 2022
Moved hosting provider - sorry for any disruption!
- 17 August 2019
Changed formatting sanitiser - this will affect how stories display on the site. It's hopefully made some rather more readable. Please let me know about any stories that are hard to read (eg dark text on dark background, etc)
- 5 July 2018
Added HTML and Text downloads for stories too. Please note that the text versions are processed automatically from the HTML versions and may therefore have slightly odd formatting.
- 11 June 2018
I've had a few people contact me who are unable to read the downloaded EPUB and MOBI files, but they didn't leave any contact details. I've tested the ones they reported and they work for me.
- 24 February 2018
Added the ability to search by story summary.
- 5 December 2017
Added a JSON API for people who want to download individual stories. See the API documentation for more.
- 9 April 2017
Added searching by story title and author name. All ratings are ticked by default now. Also imported around 800 missing chapters from /r/HPharmony. Please use the new Report as broken buttons to report any other broken chapters! .mobi and .epub files have also been updated!
- 21 February 2017
Uploaded .mobi files. You can download them by clicking the MOBI button on each story.
- 20 February 2017
Uploaded .epub files. You can now download them by clicking the EPUB button on each story. .mobi files are still processing.
