Harry Potter and the Prophecy of Light and Dark
Disclaimer- I don't own Harry Potter and never will! Sorry this is late but I have heaps of homework and assignments and stuff like that! There's a storm on now, so that's good, haha! Well hope you all like this! Something so funny happened the other day, well in this story I was going to give Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Luna and Neville nicknames like Prongs, Padfoot, Moony and the rat, Wormtail. And I was going to put Harry as Bolt, Ron as Scorch, Hermione as Mellow, and Ginny as Swift, and couldn't think of one for Luna and Neville. Then I was reading a story the other day and Harry was nicknamed Bolt and Ron as Swift for a fox! Hahahahaha!

Chapter Fifteen- Vacated Premises
That day dragged on for Harry, with still no news from the headmaster or the Order of the Phoenix. Professor Snape was absent from his potion's class, with a substitute teacher filling in for him; a substitute with no talent for potion making. Hermione suggested that he was out with the order searching the Riddle House; Ron said he was there as well, but on Voldemort's side. Harry sighed at their endless arguing, rubbing his head where his scar was throbbing slightly. Hermione noticed his actions and immediately stopped bickering with Ron, leaving him with a sense of winning the argument. On his leave, there had been a Quidditch game against Ravenclaw and Slytherin, with Slytherin beating them by at least one hundred points, since Cho had fallen from her broom by an accidental shove from the new Slytherin seeker, Blaise Zabini. Draco Malfoy had dropped from his position on the team, due to “personal” problems.
The trio seated themselves down at the Gryffindor table, scooping some food onto their plates absently. Harry just played with his meal, dragging his fork and knife through the mashed potato making patterns. He gazed hopefully up at the teachers table, but looked back at his food; the headmaster and professor Snape were still missing. Remus Lupin was also gone, leaving a new teacher to fill in for him; Professor Harrington. The sixth year dragons had grown more independent in their age, staying up in the dormitories or flying safely out in the grounds, on orders not to venture too far or attack any students or owls. Harry's dragon reluctantly began to leave Harry for more than a few minutes at one time, flying out in the open air, searching for food, and then flying back to his shoulder. Ron's red winged beast had gotten over her Snape filled fantasies and moved onto a creature of her own species, which happened to be Bolt. Scorch, Ron's dragon, was a female and although Harry's dragon, Bolt was male, he seemed not really to care for any other dragon in that way but mostly stayed silent and in the shadows, helping out if needed.
Right now he flew in through the open window in the great Hall, soaring down onto Harry's shoulder, settling on a lime-green shade of color, even though Harry's cloak was the usual black. Harry absentmindedly stroked his pet's scaly back, still playing with his food, now moving onto his peas. He flicked one easily off his plate, watching it fly threw the air and as it was about to land on Hermione's plate, a blue flash snatched it out of the air. Harry smiled at Aqua, Hermione's dragon, who sat munching on the pea happily on the table. Aqua, it seemed, had taken a liking to vegetables and fruits instead of meat, but when told of it to Hagrid he said that kind of dragon took on its owners habits. This explained finding the light blue dragon propped up upon an armchair by the fire, nibbling on the cover of Hogwarts: A History. They made their way up to the dormitory, settling them selves by the fire and began on their homework. Harry's mind was elsewhere than his charms essay that night, elsewhere like what the order was doing about the Riddle House, and if they caught Voldemort or not. Hermione seemed to notice Harry's wandering thoughts and tutted.
`Harry, you have to stop thinking about what the order is doing, otherwise you'll fail your studies. You see what you've written on the paper, you wrote: The mass to the magical substance of a particular object depends on whether or not Voldemort gets caught,' Harry looked curiously down at his paper and saw that she was right. He sighed and scrunched the parchment up in his hands and tossed it into the flickering flames of the fire. `Sorry, Mione, I just want to know what's happening, we haven't heard anything since yesterday and all the order members at the school are gone.' He sat staring into the flames, sorting through his thoughts. Suddenly a head was sitting in the flames, grinning broadly although his head was on fire. Harry gasped and jumped to the floor, his happiness swelling inside him.
`Sirius!' he stated happily, getting the attention of Ron and Hermione who soon joined him on the floor. Sirius's face was once again whole and happy, his hair was shorter and ruffled like Harry's, but jelled to stay like it. His smile was genuine and full and joyful, and his eyes were full of mischief and pride. `Hey Harry, Ron, Hermione. What are you guys up to?' he asked, `Nothing much, you?' Harry added happily. `Nothing much, hang on, I'm coming through,' the trio gasped as Sirius's head vanished and a second later he stepped through the flickering flames, grin and all. `There, that's better, so, what's been happening? I'm sorry I wasn't here when you turned up Harry, but I couldn't get there. But I was out looking for you when you vanished from Hogsmeade, no doubt about that.' Sirius's expression turned serious for a moment before he soaked into an armchair by the fire, smiling slightly. The other occupants looked frightened at the used-to-be-accused murderer but soon began sneaking closer inconspicuously, trying to get close enough to listen but not looking suspicious. Harry grinned and sat down next to him, followed by his friends.
`Don't worry about it, Sirius, I'm fine. We're all fine. Nothing much has been happening, apart from Death Eaters and all. Oh………' he glanced at his friends and put a pleading look on his face. His friends smiled and nodded, awaiting what was to come. Harry crept closer and whispered very quietly. `Hey, guess what we did?' he said cheekily, catching his godfather's attention. `What, nothing illegal I hope?' Sirius said leaning forward, his ears ready for hearing. `We're Animagi!' Sirius's face lit up in an unknown expression. `You what!' he said a little too loudly, unable to contain his joy. The three friends laughed at his face and told him of their many nights in the Room of Requirement with Ginny, Luna and Neville, then of their forms and their night time Hogsmeade trips. Sirius was in the happiest of moods when they finished their tale, his face holding a large proportion of uncontrollable happiness.
`James would be proud,' he now had a sad smile, but proud as he looked at his godson and friends. The night continued on until the three friends had to go to bed, since they had school the next day. They said their goodnights and watched Sirius disappear through the flames. In bed that night Harry was exceedingly happy. He finally seen his godfather after almost six months and his fathers two best friends knew that he was an animagus. His dreams that night were happy ones, full of his godfathers laughing face and Hermione's beaming smile. The next day the teachers who happened to be in the Order of the Phoenix were still missing, and when Harry asked Professor McGonagall about it she shooed him away. Professor Lupin seemed to have noticed Harry's fowl mood but decided to say nothing of it. They were sitting in their usual seats in the library, scribbling down notes for a Transfiguration Essay. They had moved on from the Triori Spell and onto changing desks into animals which Harry had no mind for.
He was flicking through his transfiguration book, barely seeing anything on the pages when something fluttered onto the table. Harry gazed up into Shadow's deep blue eyes, which stayed the same color even though he was out of his kitten stage. He mewed and dropped a piece of parchment onto his book, seating him self upon Hermione's essay. Harry opened he letter and read it curiously. He gasped and stood abruptly, throwing the note to his friends. He scooped all his belongings into his bag and waited for his friends to do the same. Soon they were walking quickly up to the headmaster's office, Ron clutching the parchment in his fingers. The said the password and mounted the rotating stairs, moving upwards gradually. Harry knocked and entered on Professor Dumbledore's call. The headmaster was sitting behind his desk, hand upon his brow, rubbing it casually.
`Sit, sit. I'm glad to see you got my note,' they nodded briskly, `good, good, your cat turned up outside my door a moment after I got in seemed to know that I wanted it, Harry. Now, the reason I called you here is that the Riddle Manor was empty and burning when we arrived late Wednesday morning. It seemed that Voldemort knew we were coming and demolished any trace of evidence that we might have needed. His where abouts now are unknown, we have been sorting through the rubble but have had no such luck. I thought you would like to know this and I will let you know if we come up with any leads. I will let you go now, as I believe quidditch practice will begin in no less than five minutes.' He smiled kindly and turned to his desk, rustling through his draws for some unknown object. They left the office, having gained not much useful information; Harry's mood had risen a little at knowing what happened, but he didn't feel any better about Voldemort having escaped. Quidditch practice wasn't very exciting, just the usual laps and exercises with Harry shouting things to do. They traipsed up to the Gryffindor Common Room, depositing their quidditch gear on their beds, changing and heading back down to Hermione, Ginny and Neville. Ron and Neville began a game of chess, while Harry, Ginny and Hermione sat around a table in the corner talking about odd things.
`So, what's happening with you guy's?' Ginny sprung on them after talking about Quidditch. Harry felt his face heating up as Hermione turned a light pink, Ginny looked at them humorously. `So, what's happening, I haven't seen you's out together since the ball, what's going on, you can tell me?' she pleaded. `Nothing's wrong Ginny, we just went as friends that night, nothing happened,' began Hermione, gazing nervously at Harry who was sitting motionless staring out of the window, his cheeks red. `Oh, sure, you're not kidding anyone. We all seen you dancing in there and the way you were looking at each other, it was like Ron and Luna all over again!' Harry snorted with laughter gaining the attention from Ron who was staring at him. `Why did you say my name, someone said my name, who?' he asked angrily his ears turning red. `Don't worry brother dear, we were only talking about how Harry and Hermione are turning into another you and Luna, no need to worry.' Ron's ears turned almost from bright red to purple, his mouth opening and shutting strangely. He turned his head down abruptly to the chess board, his crimson ears still showing. Hermione hiding her laughter behind her hand, while Harry smirked and turned to Ginny.
`So what if we were together, Ginny. What would it matter?' he asked thoughtfully. Ginny's face turned a small shade of red, `Err………nothing, it wouldn't matter, I was just wondering that's all,' she answered turning to Ron and Neville's chess game. Harry smiled happily at Hermione when she looked at him and grinned cheekily. Next day was a Thursday, which meant double potions first up followed by DADA then Charms. Harry wasn't looking forward to Potions, as Snape was back, but he was glad to know no one was injured on in the raid, or attempted raid. The trio trudged to their usual seats in the dungeon classroom, pulling out their supplies and parchment, awaiting Snape. But he didn't show up, instead they had the substitute teacher once more, and began to groan as he assigned them to read from their text books. Three hours later, they were sitting at the Gryffindor Table, munching on marinated chicken wings (A/N-YUM!) and cooled pumpkin juice. Ron leant back in his chair, letting out a low whistle.
`I could get used to this, I mean, Potions without Snape, so much more relaxing,' he grinned happily at Harry, then groaned as the bell went, signaling the start of Defense. Remus Lupin was back and beginning to teach them about magical weapons, the weapons that Dark Wizards had used centuries ago to defeat their enemies. He reached into a large batted old trunk next to his desk and pulled out ball on chain, but the ball was covered in five inch spikes, glistening in the afternoon light. He swung it casually through the air emitting a soft whistling noise, its deadly spikes flashing menacingly. They gulped as Lupin lowered it onto the table, the whistling sound stopping completely.
`Can anyone tell me the name of this deathly object?' Hermione's hand shot in the air, Moony chuckled slightly, `Yes, Hermione,'
`It's the Sphere of Annubus, a medieval weapon founded by Anubia Grungwick.'
`Correct you are ten points to Gryffindor. The Sphere of Annubus is highly dangerous, not because of its spikes, but because of the poison imbedded inside the spikes. It is a fatal poison called Death's Kiss or Deadilolia Hangreadry in Latin (A/N-I have no idea!). It kills in a matter of minutes and there is no known antidote. But the poison inside this Sphere has been extracted due to safety reasons. The next,' he placed his hand back inside the trunk, leaving the Sphere upon the table, `is a muggle-based weapon, known as Bear Hug,' he pulled out a small brown teddy-bear, one eyes was missing replaced by a black button. It was really rather cute, Harry thought until he saw how Lupin was holding it. He had his thumb and forefinger barely clasping its ear, holding it at an arms length with pure disgust on his face.
`The Bear Hug is a most deadly weapon, designed by you-know-who in his first reign. It was placed in muggle homes, preferably ones with small children. What would happen is this, a death eater would place this bear in a parcel or leave it out for a child to pick up, but when too much weight is pressed any where but the left ear, it will explode with so much force as to blow an entire home to shards.' Harry gasped, as did the rest of the class. Lupin had a grim look upon his face and a sad smile upon his lips. `It was such items as these that made the first war so terrible, and we believe that the dark lord still holds items such as these, saving them for a good occasion.' The bell rang at the end of the lesson and the students began piling out, talking animatedly of their first lesson on dark weapons. Harry, Ron and Hermione stayed behind, willing to talk to Lupin.
`Hey moony,' greeted Harry happily, watching his old friend seal the lid of the trunk. `Hello Harry, Ron, Hermione, enjoy the lesson?' he asked, swishing his wand and vanishing the trunk. `Yeah, it was great, but kind of………disturbing,' answered Hermione shuddering. Lupin chuckled slightly, `yes, many of the weapons Voldemort used in his first reign were quite disturbing, but what weapons that are in this war is what really worries me!' he said thoughtfully, sitting down in his chair gazing sadly up at the trio. `We told Sirius about………you know,' muttered Harry casually, grinning cheekily. Lupin's face lit up, `Really, what'd he do, and how'd he act?' he asked curiously, `well he was quite shocked at first then he thought it was a brilliant idea and became overcome with pride, I think?' Harry grinned at the thought of the look on his godfathers face when he told him about them being Animagi. Lupin smiled broadly, his premature wrinkles vanishing in a true smile. `So, do you have DA tomorrow night?' the three nodded, `then would it be alright if I tag along and watch you teach things, Harry?' he asked hopefully, opening his eyes wide in a pleading expression.
Harry laughed, `Of course you can, its after dinner, we better go, see you then!' they said bye then left hurriedly, rushing to the Charms Corridor for their last class of the day. Harry stood before his fellow students the next night in the Room of Requirement. Professor Lupin stood at the side, leaning up against the wall a smile upon his lips. `Ok, we've finished most defense spells, hexes, jinxes, including the Patronus. I'm not sure what to move onto now, so I'll ask you all what you want to learn next, any one with a suggestion?' Harry asked looking over the many pairs of eyes staring up at him, some hands were raised, but others just looked completely blank.
`How about magical creatures?' Harry shook his head at Colin Creevley's suggestion, `nah, we've got Care of Magical Creatures for that, and besides, we don't need to learn about animals to defend ourselves, yeah, you,' `What about brewing different Potions to store them incase we need them later on, like a healing draught or truth potion, they might come in handy!' Hermione asked lowering her hand when she spoke.
`yes,' Harry said, `that's a great idea, but you make it sound as though we're this army that's always heading into battle, needing necessities and such,' Harry chuckled softly, but when nobody laughed he studded immediately. `We're not, are we?'
`Well,' began Ron, `we decided to make a great big group, just like death eaters, but for the light side, that can help defend the school or anywhere else when the time comes,' finished Luna. `And besides, we couldn't let you fight you-know-who by yourself again, could we?' grinned Ginny from the front. Harry shook his head and smiled slightly but before he could say something someone spoke out from the shadows, `I think that is a great idea,' announced Professor Lupin stepping into the light and away from the wall. Harry had forgot he was here, but he grinned in thanks, none-the-less. `As long as this doesn't go to all your heads, making you think you're invincible and can run off and help the Ministry fight in the war,' he said patting Harry on the shoulder, smiling happily.
`Thanks, Moony, but I don't want anyone to get hurt just because of me,' he start5ed but Hermione interrupted him, `Harry, we have chosen not to just help you alone but the whole Wizarding community against Voldemort and his silly followers and nothing you can say will change that.' She finished harshly, giving him a harsh but playful glare. Harry sighed in defeat and raised his hands, `Alright, alright, but don't think I'll let you all come with me IF Voldemort comes for me,'
`We'll see,' said Hermione smirking. In Care of Magical Creatures the following week they were still studying their dragons, even though they knew a lot about them now, Hagrid still got a glassy look over his eyes when they did something ordinary, like sneeze. Potions was a change in Harry's perspective. He now had a cause to pay attention in that class, apart from his career as an Auror. He and Hermione had begun taking notes on various potions that would be useful in their training and the upcoming war. Ron had tried to pay attention more so than Harry, but he soon gave up and began drawing pictures in the corners of his parchment of a miniscule game of Quidditch where it showed stick figures throwing a quaffle around, it had been enchanted by Hermione who huffed when Ron had tried to do it himself but only managed to burn the corner of Harry's potions book. By the end of that week, in the DA, many had had the same idea as Hermione and Harry by copying down various potions they had heard in potions class or they had thought would be useful.
Harry was walking back up to the Gryffindor Common room alone, as Ron and Hermione had Prefect duties. He was walking slowly in the darkness, humming softly under his breath when he had a sense of someone watching him. He kept walking but stopped humming, clutching his wand tightly in his robe pocket.
`Err………Harry?' a voice spoke out of the shadows beside him, almost frightening him to death. Harry sighed when he spotted the blond hair of Draco Malfoy. `Yes, umm………Draco?' he said with uncertainly, not used to saying his enemies first name. `Erm………I was wondering if you had any, umm, you know,' he said in a horse whisper, `animagus potion left?' he glanced around in the dark corridor, afraid somebody might be listening. `Maybe, I think we do, why?' he asked confused terribly by now, `well, I need something else to protect me, as I turned down the dark lord and my family. They're after me now, just like you, and I need something to help me next time they come for me.' Harry nodded slowly, thinking if he could trust him. `Ok, umm………when do you want it?' he asked slowly and quietly, the blond boys face screwed up in thought, `As soon as possible I think,' Draco said hopefully. Harry nodded again, `how about you meet me outside the Room of Requirement tomorrow night, at around ten?' he noticed the confused look on Draco's face, `Oh, the room where you found us last year, where we had that illegal club thing,' Draco nodded and looked down, `thanks,' he murmured sinking into the shadows. Harry shook his head, his night just taking a turn for the weird side.
A couple of weeks passed with Harry in the Room of Requirement with Draco, the blond boy stood in the middle of the room, his eyes clenched shut in concentration. Suddenly he clasped onto the ground, breathing heavily, his eyes opened frantically gazing at Harry who had knelt down beside him and began telling him this was it. Then he began to twitch, his teeth clenched shut, sweat beading on his brow. Suddenly Harry stepped back as Draco Malfoy began to transform quickly in front of him on the floor. Once his transformation was complete he was once again the blond haired boy, his once sleek hair was now spread out across his and clinging to his cheeks with sweat. He looked up at Harry and opened his mouth and spoke between rasped breaths, `what was i?' Harry opened and closed his mouth in utter terror.

Authors Note- Hehe!!! Sorry, I have to think of an animal for Draco that makes Harry quake in his Dobby knitted socks. Any suggestions?
