Harry Potter and the Fulfillment of the Prophecy
Disclaimer/Author's Note- I don't own Harry Potter, and never will, yarda yarda yarda! Well, this is the seventh chapter, yay! I know this story is coming out kinda slow, but it'll get betta, I hope, anyhow. Please review and that stuff, I'm not begging, just suggesting.
I'm over this story that's why it took so long for this chapter to come out! I couldn't be bothered writing it anymore, but if I get enough people convincing me to keep writing I will. AND I'll check the spelling and grammar in each chapter and put more effort into it.
I have went back and re-written the chapters and fixed everything up. Hermione's birthday is fixed up and everything has been explained properly.
Enjoy!
Thanks Raj and Firelord my inspiration! This chapter is dedicated to you!

Chapter Seven- Dreaded Doubles
With intertwined fingers, Harry and Hermione entered the Great Hall the next morning. Curious glances and knowing nods followed their trek to the Gryffindor Table. Or what was once, the Gryffindor Table. For now, as the two love-struck teenagers took their seats, it was not only Gryffindors that surrounded them. Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs sat amongst the red-clad students, talking animatedly about such-and-such. Nobody seemed to care that a lone Slytherin sat in their midst, shifting nervously in his new position.
Sitting beside Draco and guiding Hermione down beside him, Harry grinned sheepishly at the peroxide blond.
“Good morning my dear Slytherin friend,” Harry said cheerfully. Draco Malfoy merely glared at the over-joyous boy-who-lived and sniffed grumpily. “Maybe not a good morning for some,” Harry mumbled a little-too-loudly. Malfoy decided not to answer. Ron was half asleep opposite them, one eye sagging lazily.
“Since when were you a morning person?” he said raising a piece of buttered toast to his mouth. Grinning, Harry answered, “Since now!”
Breakfast progressed slowly ending when Professor McGonagall handed out the Seventh year Timetables. Turning his head to see his first subjects he caught sight of the new Professor Tide walking swiftly from the room; with Snape glaring at her back the whole time. Wondering what she had done other than take his much-wanted position as Defense Teacher, Harry finally looked to see that he had double Potions first up. Groaning loudly he allowed Hermione to pull him from the table with Draco smirking behind her.
“Not much of a morning person now, are you Potter?” The three of them left the Great Hall to the stone cold dungeons leaving Ron snickering behind. After the first period had ended of the dreaded NEWT Level Potions class, Harry decided never to let himself get into a happy mood on the day of double Potions again. As soon as the three of them had entered the room and sat, Snape swept in and took five points from Harry because he looked suspicious with all his smiling.
Immediately after organizing their parchment and quills, the oily-haired Potion's Professor had lectured them about the importance of NEWT Potions and how extremely difficult it was. Harry knew the man was referring to him when he stated that only the best would pass and any others left lagging would be dropped quicker than a cement block. The evil glare in his direction had made statement quite obviously about Harry.
When lunch finally rolled around Harry was all too keen top leave the dungeon classroom, leaving a fuming Snape behind. When asked how his first lessons were by Ginny, he merely sighed and gulped down a glass of pumpkin juice. Hermione sat placidly beside him, reaching for his hand. They clasped them together and Harry immediately felt more calm and less peeved about his first classes. After Lunch they all had Defense Against the Dark Arts with the new professor. They all were excited about how she would teach them, if at all. Harry remembered Umbridge two years ago and consciously rubbed his other hand over his right. The thing faint scars could still be seen, but only if you were looking for them.
Straight after lunch Harry, Hermione, Ron and Draco left the Great Hall and headed to the Defense classroom. Most of the class was already there when they took seats in the middle. A few moments later Professor Tide strolled in. She obviously had something on her mind at the time because she didn't seem to notice she had a class until Hannah Abott cleared hr throat slightly. With a quick jump and bright eyed gaze of the room, the professor's face grew into a false smile.
“Welcome class, I'm Professor Tide. After I mark the role I will introduce you to the topics we will be researching this year,” grabbing a piece of parchment she began marking off the students. They were all the same people as the previous year as you had to complete two years of NEWT study to pass your exam. When she came to Harry's name, she looked up.
“Harry Potter,” she seemed to just stare at his eyes a faraway look on her face. Harry caught a slight murmur of, “his eyes...” before she composed herself and looked away. Hermione and Harry shared a confused glance before paying more attention to the teacher.
“NEWT Level Defense Against the Dark Arts is a hard course to get into and an even harder course to pass. By the looks of all of you, I would think you were all pretty clever in this subject, some more than others,” once more her eyes landed on Harry before passing to her arm of papers. “All of your last teachers have been pretty ill-informed about the course curriculum except for...” her eyes grew wide and she coughed to cover up her surprise. Everyone saw.” Except one Professor Lupin...” Another curious look was shared by Hermione and Harry.
“He seemed to have the proper training and course outline. So, you have learnt many species of Dark Creatures and the Unforgivable Curses and the results from them. This year, I will be teaching more Defense Magic and dueling techniques. Today, we will just revise the spells you have learnt over the years. Now, I believe a few of you can cast a Patronus?” Many people murmured replies or said Harry's name.
Professor Tide's eyes landed on him and seemed to bore into his own.
“Mr Potter, will you please be able to show us your Patronus?” Harry nodded and slowly stood. Walking to the front of the room and pulling out his wand, he imagined his and Hermione's first kiss.
“Expecto Patronum!” A large silver stag erupted from his wand and galloped to where the professor was standing. Her face had gone pale and eyes wide with fear. Standing, she reached out a hand to touch the stag's head but only gathered air as the great animal dissolved in a white flash. Gathering herself once more she screeched, “class dismissed!” as the bell rang. The class quickly grabbed their things and filed from the room. Many glancing at their professor with confusion.
“Now that was peculiar...” mumbled Draco once they had faded from the vicinity of the classroom. The other students were scurrying passed them, all talking excitedly about their previous class.
“...and did you see how beautiful that deer was...”
“..it wasn't a deer it was a stag...”
“...same thing, it was still very handsome...”
“...yeah, like master like spell...” Hermione glared at the two passing Ravenclaws. They smiled lovingly at Harry and gave Hermione disapproving looks. Harry was chuckling and ran a hand through his hair. Dropping the arm immediately his smile faltered. A vision flashed before his eyes of a young James Potter deliberately messing his hair when a pretty red-head passed...
“Potter, hey Potter?” Harry jerked away from his thoughts to see Draco standing in front of him. “Huh?” he said. The Slytherin smirked. “your girlfriend would not like to find out you were fantasizing about those Ravenclaws that just passed, now would she?” Harry spluttered.
“Hey, I was not fantasizing...erm...Hi Hermione?” he said when the bushy-haired girl stepped into his view. “I don't mind if you eye other girls, but remember...” At that moment Harry pulled her forward and joined them at the lips. A few minutes later and after a disgusted `Eurgh' from a passing second year, they pulled away. Hermione was blushing as Harry pushed a strand of hair from her face.
“The only girl I want to eye is standing right in front of me!” She giggled as did Ginny turning up beside the four friends.” Well, me and Hermione have to go see a woman about a dragon...see you later, lover boy!” With that the two giggling girls left, leaving Harry blushing, Ron glaring and Draco with a vacant expression gazing after the red-head with troubled eyes.
...........................
After a delicious lunch, Harry and Ron ventured down to the grounds for double Care of Magical Creatures. Hagrid was standing near his cabin holding a large bow in his arms. When the two friends meted the half-giant, he grinned broadly.
“I've got a nice lesson planned for al' yeh today,” the large man said. Harry and Ron shared wary glances. Their description and Hagrid's definition of a `nice lesson' were two completely different things. When the rest of the class turned up, which was a mixture of all classes, Hagrid led them into the forest. Harry and Ron shared terrified glances this time.
The oaf of a man traveled for a few hundred meters. They were following a roughly woven path that trailed between the tall trees and spiky bushes. They walked until no sunlight seeped through the tall canopy and they had to light their wands. Breaking forward, Harry asked Hagrid where it was they were going. With a toothy grin, the half-giant just shook his head.
After about fifteen minutes the class could hear distant wailings and screeches. At this point many were clutching their wands with a little more strength, tiny beads of sweat shining on their foreheads. But soon they got near enough to make out the fluttering of tiny wings and familiar, cat like purring. Many were now grinning with excitement.
A loud screech met their ears and a black flash appeared before their leader. It flew straight into the chest of Harry and wrapped around his arm. Grinning broadly, Harry stroked the tiny dragon with a hand.
“Its nice to see you too, Bolt!” The other class mates were soon jumping up to catch their winged beasts which were zipping over their heads. They came into a clearing. Many thick-trunked trees were growing in a large circle, all spaced at about three meters. Nests of sticks and straw were perched in each crossing of branches. Littered upon the ground were skeletons of small mammals and droppings from the Dwarf Dragons. Aqua and Scorch flew down from the high branches with a few other small beasts. They landed on the shoulders and in the arms of Ron, who was looking a little swamped by the blue and red creatures.
“Why did Hermione have to drop this class? Now I'm stuck with all these little horrors!” Harry smiled. He knew Ron loved the scaled animals but did not like to show it. Bolt was still clutched in Harry's arms, crooning up at him softly. How they had missed each other over the summer. Harry was not able to take the dragon with him to Grimmauld Place as an enclosed space was no place for a creature meant for the sky. But now he was back at Hogwarts, they would be able to spend their time together once more.
“Now class,” began Hagrid, standing in the middle of the clearing. You could hardly see his beetle black eyes from all the multi-colored beasts clinging to his huge form.
“All yeh have to do today is take notes of how the'r acting and mayb' sketch them!”
Harry was part way through his sketch of the ever still Bolt who had blended into the leaved ground. A rustling of bushes happened at his back, and Harry turned to be face to face with a skeletal winged horse. Harry got over his first fright and stood beside the Thestral. It was gazing at him with a deep blue gaze. Harry reached to pat it only to find his hand in its mouth a moments later. A voice spoke from everywhere and no where.
“Harry....Potter...I am coming...as is he...return to power...rule the world...just like I once did...with the help of some old friends...and new ones...I will come for you...and what was once mine...” the voice stopped and the Thestral faded. Harry gazed at his bloody hand. Fang marks had been punctured into his skin and a green-yellow ooze was stinging them fiercely. Bolt hissed from the ground.

A/N- I am so sorry I haven't updated for so long! And to end my newly written chapter with a cliff-hanger...so sorry once more!!! Please forgive me for the long wait and I will try and get my chapters out quickly. Probably once a week or something like that. I would have done them quicker but I am writing another two stories with this one, plus people have been reviewing me to write a sequel to Harry Potter and the Prophecy of Two and I don't know what to do!!!
Please review and tell me what I should do! Should I finish this story and the Shadow of the Snake or try and do this one, Shadow of the Snake and Behind Emerald Eyes? Which I have not posted just as yet. But it will be a look at what Harry's life is like after Hogwarts and after the time of Voldemort. The first chapter in that is done as is half the second chapter. So, please review and tell me what you thought of this new installment!!!
