Chapter 3
Harry woke up with a feeling a dread, he had a nightmare but couldn’t remember what it was about. He could remember hearing someone crying in the distance and calling his name but it was too fuzzy.
“Damn it! Why can’t I remember it?” Harry snapped to himself as he pushed himself off the bed and started pacing the floor, the dream was important, he knew that but for the first time it had nothing to do with Voldemort because his scar wasn’t hurting. He, somehow, knew it was connected to Hermione but didn’t know how.
“Better contact Dumbledore and Sirius to see if they can help me.” Harry muttered as he sat down at his desk and pulled out a fresh piece of parchment and wrote to Dumbledore first.
“Professor,
I’m worried about Hermione, she hasn’t been in contact with me since the summer had started, Ron had also told me that she hasn’t been in contact with him or Ginny which is really unusual as you know how Hermione would keep in contact with us ever since Voldemort is back. You see, I had a nightmare but it felt more of a premonition or something like that but for the first time it has nothing to do with Voldemort, as my scar doesn’t hurt. Can you please see if you can get in contact with Hermione, I have a feeling that something is happening but I can’t stop it, Please just try your best and contact me as soon as you can.
Thanks, Harry.”
Harry didn’t care about the protection of the letter; he needed Dumbledore to know how important that it is and he needed to make sure that Hermione was okay that was safe. Hedwig came over and hooted softly.
“Hey girl, can you take this to Dumbledore for me and make sure that he gets this, it’s really important.” Harry whispered and Hedwig nodded and nibbled his finger affectionately before flying off into the distance. Harry settled down once more and began to write a letter toward Sirius, it was the same one as before but with one addition, he had asked Sirius if he could change himself and go to the Granger’s house to see if there was anyone there. Harry sat back on the chair with a worried sigh, he was scared witless about Hermione but somehow talking to Sirius and Dumbledore made him feel a bit better now that he knew that two more people knew about his concerns for Hermione. Maybe now they’ll be able to tell him what was going on with Hermione and how he would be able to protect her.
Harry got up and laid back on his bed to try and get more sleep, thanks to his nightmare, he felt like he hadn’t slept a wink!
“Please no, I promise I’ll be good, please just don’t hurt me!” a girl’s voice whimpered as she coward in the corner, attempting to get out of the way.
“You promise you won’t go anywhere near another man again?” A male voice growled and she nodded with a small whimper, agreeing to everything that he said. The man let out a satisfied grin.
“Good, keep it in mind when you go back to school that you have to keep in contact with me and stay away from them!” he growled and the girl sighed, she really didn’t want to lie to her friends but he left her no choice.
“Yes I promise I will keep in contacts with you and stay away from them.” She whispered.
“Good, baby you know I love you, it just that they don’t care about you, all they want to do is keep you to themselves, you saw how they were when we were together, I promise you, this is for your own good.” He said and she nodded. He left the room and she flung herself on to her bed, sobbing her heart out.
“Please Harry, just find me!” she whispered to herself as she let her finger trail down Harry’s cheek on the photo that she pulled out from under her pillow. “Please don’t let his words be true.”
