Chapter 21: A Knock out!
It was dinnertime in the Great Hall and everyone was sitting at their usual table, well, apart from one particular Gryffindor or was it two?
“Hey Ron!” Dean asked and Ron looked over at Dean with a raised eyebrow in question while stuffing his face with a chicken leg. “Where are Harry and Hermione? They never miss a dinner?” Dean asked and Ron shrugged, not bothered as he knew that they would turn up soon.
Meanwhile in the Library: In a dark corner at the back.
“Oh, we can’t stay too long, it’s dinner time.” A female voice moaned and there was a distinctly male grunt.
“I’m having my dinner now.” He growled as he attacked her neck.
“Harry…” she groaned as her head fell backward, giving Harry more access to her neck.
“Mione…” Harry groaned back and she lost it, she grabbed his hair and pulled him off her neck.
“We need to go to the Great Hall Harry, we are head boy and girl, we are suppose to be setting an example!” Hermione chastised and Harry rolled his eyes.
“Mione.” Harry whined but Hermione shook her head as she got up and brushed down her clothes. Harry, grudgingly, did the same. They both grabbed their stuff and linked hands as they made their way to the Great Hall. They both stepped in only to stop short when everyone looked at them.
“Do you have an excuse for missing half of Dinner?” Snape asked and Harry looked at him with an innocent expression.
“Got lost?” He asked with a shrug while Hermione rolled her eyes.
“Likely excuse.” Snape snapped and Harry shrugged.
“Fine, we lost track of time making out in the back of the Library.” Harry stated, which caused Hermione to slap his arm and everyone to look at him stunned.
“He’s kidding, we lost track of time because we were studying.” Hermione covered up and McGonagall nodded, accepting the answer.
“Very well, take your seats please.” She replied, motioning for the two of them to sit down.
“Yeah, studying French more like.” Harry muttered under his breath and Hermione threw him an evil smile and a sly wink.
Harry noticed that everyone was still staring at the two of them and rolled his eyes.
“Okay people, show is over, you may go back about your business.” Harry stated with a shoo of his hands. This startled everyone out of their stunned daze and they continued on like nothing had happened at all.
“Seriously, why were you late?” Ron asked and Harry looked at him with a sly wink and Ron caught on.
“You were telling the truth weren’t you?” Ron exclaimed and Hermione scoffed as she rolled her eyes
“Boys.” She muttered, turning to Ginny to have a proper conversation.
“Harry, will you please meet me at my office.” Dumbledore said as he walked past, Harry nodded as he kissed Hermione on the cheek and hurried up to catch up with Dumbledore.
“Yes sir?” Harry asked.
“I have been thinking about your dreams and the fact that Hermione’s parents are dead. I have to ask you this, have you heard from your Aunt and Uncle lately?” Dumbledore asked and Harry shook his head.
“No, they never sent me anything this Christmas. Why?” Harry asked, confused.
“I’m just wondering, if I’m right I will contact you later and explain it to you.” Dumbledore explained to him but Harry looked at him without moving and Dumbledore understood his hesitated. “I promise Harry, I will keep you informed this time.” Dumbledore assured and Harry nodded then left the room. Dumbledore sighed as he sat down on his seat.
“You did hurt him in fifth year you know by keeping things from him, you can’t blame him.” A voice said from behind him and Dumbledore nodded.
“I know, I just wish he could learn to trust me once more.” Dumbledore sighed sadly and Minerva crossed the room and sat on the chair across from him.
“Give him time, I know it was nearly two years ago you told him.” Minerva interrupted, seeing that Dumbledore was about to open his mouth “But it hit him pretty hard, especially when he almost lost the one person who was like a father to him, you can’t expect him to get over very quickly, especially after everything he’s been through.” Minerva explained and left the room. Dumbledore just sat there staring out of the window, deep in thoughts.
Harry was walking along the corridor when he heard a noise from one of the empty classroom; curiously, he opened the door and stepped in.
“Hello?” Harry asked as he looked around, he heard a muttering sound and a flash of light, which sent him reeling back into wall; he slumped down unconscious.
