Chapter Seven- Missing Pieces and Brain Dead

The kitchen was buzzing with anticipation when Harry and Hermione entered. They seated themselves next to Ron, with Harry in the middle. Ron seemed to be just about bursting with excitement with the fact that they were about to sit their very first order meeting. Soon the kitchen was packed with various order members, all glancing nervously at the three young people seated at the table. Once every one had entered and seated themselves, Albus Dumbledore strolled in, a faint twinkle in his eyes when he looked at the three friends. He lifted his hand for silence, which he immediately got. He stood at the head of the table, everyone looking eagerly up at him, expectedly.

“Now, recent events have to be taken into order, that is why we have some guests joining us for tonight,” he smiled casually at Harry, Ron and Hermione, before continuing, “I, and many others feel that Harry has been put through more than he should have, and his friends, Hermione and Ron, have been with his through most of it. That is why they are joining us, so we may be able to inform them, and aware them of the dangers involved. Now, will our informant please inform us,” He sat down as Severus Snape stood, glaring at Harry for a second.

“The Dark Lord has gained more power over the last few weeks, gaining control from the inside in silent. He has spies inside the Ministry, more than before. Fudge still remains clueless to our threats and continues to employ the spies. With the recent actions of Azkaban………yes, Potter?” Harry had shot his hand in the air.

“Umm………what actions of Azkaban?” Snape sneered at him.

“Azkaban has been taken over by the Dark Side, Harry. The Dementors are in Voldemort's control,” Instead of Snape, Lupin answered from his left, smiling slightly.

“Thank you, as I was saying, before being rudely interrupted,” he sneered at Harry again, “With the recent actions with Azkaban, we need to find a securer prison for our prisoners, I have a few ideas, but will tell the more, how may I say `important' members later. The Dark Lord suspects a spy is among them, but has no suspects. He has plans, more deadly than I know, he has only told the trusted few in his inner circle, which consists of three. That is all.” Snape took his seat, as Kingsley Shacklebolt stood up.

“The Minister still suspects Albus of plotting against him and is placing another High Inquisitor at Hogwarts. I'm not sure who it is at this time, but I do not think it would be Umbridge again. The Ministry Officials are against Fudge's antics of ignoring he-who-must-not-be-named until there is proper proof. He has convinced the officials that the events that happened last year in the Ministry and the sighting of a pale-faced, red eyed; cloaked creature was classified as a sick joke played by Albus Dumbledore and some students. No one wants to stand up to him, they are too afraid to loose their positions. People are beginning to get frightened, with the sightings of Death Eaters and every thing being quiet, people are beginning to talk. We don't know what to do!” He took his seat, a pleading expression on his face. Professor Dumbledore stood, facing the others.

“Thank you Severus, Kingsley. Yes I'm afraid things are getting complicated. With Voldemort's powers and followers getting stronger and larger, we must stick together and fight till the end. Remus, if you would?” Remus Lupin stood a grave expression on his face, he nodded softly to Dumbledore.

“With the darkening times, we must ask for the help of all creatures. I will be having a journey to find the were-wolves. We need their help in the up-coming war, and it would be easier for me to travel alone as I am one of them. We might be too late in asking them, as Voldemort may have beaten us to it. But we have to try, try any thing to get help. We need to join forces, even with the ones we have disliked for ages. I am returning to the place where I first got my condition, there used to be a few colonies in the Balimere Woods, hopefully they haven't shifted.” He took his seat, looking paler than usual. Harry smiled sympathetically at him, feeling guilty that his life was destroyed because of a bite. The meeting went on for about four hours, with various order members standing and telling the others what they had learnt. At around ten when Ron let out a large moaning yawn, Mrs. Weasley shuffled them out and up to bed, telling them to get to sleep straight away without talking. Hermione said a sleep goodnight before moving off into her and Ginny's room leaving Harry and Ron trailing into their own. Harry collapsed onto his bed, he saw Ron do it as well, while letting out a sort of groan.

“Hey, I'm going to stay in here tonight, okay?” Harry asked sitting down on his old bed, still worried about the spear that dissolved into the floor.

“Sure mate, that's fine. That was so…………boring. There was nothing even remotely exciting about it, except Snape's talk about you-know-who. I thought it would be a little more informative than that.” Harry nodded in agreement, putting his glasses on his bed side table after getting changed.

“I think they weren't giving us all the facts. They left something out, I can feel it.” Ron mumbled something from under his pyjama top, emerging on the other side and lying on his bed. They said their good nights and closed their eyes, ready for sleep.

He was standing on the tower again, mumbling the same verse under his breath, slowly getting louder. Darkness swallowed all around him showing nothing but the tower he was standing on. The poking began on his left shoulder getting harder and sharper, but just when it was about to stab through his skin, he stopped rehearsing the verse. Everything was silent, no wind whipped about his body, no spear poked and prodded his shoulder. He stared blankly out into darkness staring into nothingness. He stood there for a long time, still staring, still feeling the presence of the thing behind him, when a small white dot appeared a long way off in the darkness, slowly coming closer and growing larger. It took form of a person, a woman with long white hair, bright blue eyes and a long white dress. She looked out of place in the darkness at the tower. When she was about three metres away, she screamed a high pitch scream, reverberating around in nothingness. She rushed forward still screaming, straight at Harry. He didn't flinch as she became mist and floated passed him, leaving silence again. He began hearing whispers beside his left ear; he turned around showing no one, not even his hidden poker. He turned again to become face to face with the white haired woman. He still didn't flinch, but let out a small gasp. She whispered silkily at him.

“Soon, Ashir, soon,”

Harry awoke in a cold sweat panting. He grabbed his glasses from his bed-side table, slipping them on his nose. A cold shiver ran down his spine as he remembered his dream; the white haired woman floating before him.

“Who's Ashir?” Harry mumbled to himself, rubbing his fore head trying to think if he'd heard the name before, but some thing beside him moved and moaned. He glanced over at the bed beside him, a thrashing Ron inside it. Harry quickly moved over to him, placing a hand on his shoulder to wake him, but he didn't.

“No, please no. Get of Him. No, he's not dead, not dead. GET AWAY FROM ME! CLAIRE!” Ron shrieked, sitting bolt upright knocking Harry back, where he stumbled over his bed, landing on the floor. As he got up he heard Ron's shallow breaths and hurried foot steps coming up the hall. Light spilled into their room blinding them for a second. It was Mrs. Weasley.

“What's going on in here, who screamed, are you's ok?” She bustled over to Ron, looking around for Harry, spotting him getting up off the floor. “Harry? Are you ok, was it another nightmare?” She asked sympathetically. Harry was about to say it wasn't him, but with a quick glance at Ron, told him other wise. He was still breathing shallowly, but more slowly, sweat dripped from his hair, his pleading eyes looking at Harry than his mother, a look of dread clearly showing.

“Err………yeah, sorry, it was just the usual nightmare,” Which was kind of the truth, “sorry I woke you.” She looked sternly at him a few seconds before smiling sadly.

“That's fine Harry. Now are you alright, you still look a little shaken,” Harry nodded with a smile, “that's good, you both should get some more sleep, it's only about three hours after the meeting.” She left with a quick `sleep tight', before shutting the door, leaving them in darkness again.

“Harry?” Ron's voice spoke through the darkness, “Yeah?” Harry answered pulling himself into bed, “Thanks, for telling mum it was you, its just…………never mind, good night.” Harry pulled himself back up; staring at Ron's shadowed form.

“Ron, I do mind, why have you been having these dreams, I know Claire isn't your neighbour.” Harry heard Ron shuffling uncomfortably in his covers. There was silence for around a minute, before he answered.

“I don't know. I've been having them since…………before the holidays,” Harry knew he was about to say since the incident at the Ministry, “I don't know who Claire is or any one else is in the dreams are.” He let out a small confused mumble, allowing Harry to think for a few seconds.

“I don't know either, Ron. But I'll try to find out.” Harry answered settling back down into his bed. “Thanks, Harry. Goodnight.” Ron answered a sound of gratitude in his shaken voice. “What are friends for?” Harry took his glasses of and placed them back on the bed side table. He closed his eyes, flashes of the ministry kept flicking across his mind. He saw the death eater's head get shrunken to a babies head, then back again. He felt how he felt when Hermione got hit with that unknown curse, being flown into the wall unconscious. He saw Neville with his broken nose rush to help a giggling Ron with the brain trying to strange him. He looked upon Ginny, holding her ankle in pain. He saw the prophecy slip from Neville's hands and smash. He was there when Sirius fell. Fell through the veil to his death. It was his entire fault that they all nearly died. But they volunteered; they all were willing to risk their lives to help him. He smiled in his sleep, for realizing what great friends he had. But one thought stuck in his head the entire night.

He awoke with a start in the morning, the flashbacks still crisp in his mind. But the one thought was still in his head, still flashing. Harry gasped. The one thought that was in his head was the one about Ron. The brain had wrapped around him, digging its tentacles around his arms and neck. It was the brain giving him these dreams. He struggled getting up from out of the covers, which were twisted around his waist and legs. He finally escaped, but seeing Ron's empty bed, he hurried downstairs, but after meeting Ginny and Hermione on the downstairs landing, hurried back up. He still only had his boxers on from last night. He pulled on some pants and singlet top and went back down.

He passed the two giggling girls on the landing. He rushed into the kitchen red-faced and short of breath. Ron was sitting at the table picking at his food and occasionally putting some in his mouth. He looked up when Harry slumped into a chair beside him.

“Morning Harry,” He said with forced happiness. Harry managed to steady his breathing enough to tell Ron what was giving him the night mares. His face dropped when Harry finished. “So, you really think it was the…………brain?” He stammered, his food lay forgotten on the table in front of him. Harry nodded meekly, gulping down some orang juice. “So the dreams I'm having are, actual things that happened to that person?” He asked, looking blankly at the table.

“Definitely looks that way doesn't it? So all we have to do is find a way to stop them from going to you, some how.” He reached out and took a cold piece of Ron's toast, eating it thoughtfully. Hermione and Ginny entered later on, still giggling every time they looked at Harry, who just shrugged it off, since they only seem his boxers and bare chest, nothing more. The day was uneventful, but the afternoon brought unexpected surprises.

Minerva McGonagall turned up at around three with three other unknown people. They all were carrying trunks, including McGonagall. They ushered Harry, Hermione, and Ron into a large room, which Harry had never seen before. It seemed the same size as the great hall at Hogwarts, with murals over each wall. They sat their not-talking for over half-an-hour, but when Harry was about to ask why they were there, the large door opened and Albus Dumbledore entered, a twinkle in his eyes. He stopped in front of the seven people gazing around at them all.

“Now, you may be wondering why I have asked you to come here today, the reason I will tell in a minute, after I introduce some guests. This is Dainin Strongfoot,” He pointed to a muscly looking person, with dirty blond hair and deep brown, almost black eyes, he smiled warmly at them, “this is Maizy Kirra,” He signalled to a small little witch, with short boyish black hair and bright eyes, one blue, one green. “Hiya, guys!” Her voice was bright also and cheerful, “and this is Armand Bytin,” the last was a middle sized man, with a strong looking face, light brown hair that was rough, but not as much as Harry's, with deep blue eyes, he merely nodded at them all. “They will be your personal teachers. You all will be studying the art of wandless magic or soul magic, as the magic is contained in the soul, with Dainin, stronger Occlumency and Legiliumcy with Maizy and I feel this is necessary, Animagus Training with Armand. You will start tomorrow morning and go through until school starts, which will be in about three and a half weeks. They will continue to teach you at school, we have yet discovered a means for this. Please speak to no one of this, not even your parents as we would like to keep this a secret so if Voldemort has a spy in our midst he will not know of your training. You may go now if you like.” Harry, Hermione and Ron all said their goodbyes and thank you's, heading out of the room and up stairs.

“Well that was a surprise.” Said Hermione once they were upstairs in Ron and Harry's room. Ron nodded happily.

“Yeah, it was. So we don't have to do Animagus Training our selves, we have professional trainers to help. I can't wait to see what forms we are. I wonder when we do.” Harry said pacing around the room, imagining all the forms they could be. Harry imagined himself as a dragon, soaring over the forbidden forest, diving at unsuspecting students. That night after dinner they organised to meet in the hidden room that night, to clean some of it out. Once up inside the dusty hidden room, they set to work. Moving boxes and trunks aside and cleaning them out. They found heaps of old books, which Hermione needed to lock into trunks to stop herself from reading, old robes and broken broomsticks as well as old hats and photographs. After midnight they made their way back to their rooms to sleep, Harry went back to Sirius's old room, feeling unsteady about the whole spear incident but more aware that it was gone. He lay down in Sirius's old bed, pulling the covers around his neck, getting finally comfortable. He closed his eyes and dreamt of turning into Buckbeak, flying over Hogwarts with Hermione on his back then picking up Sirius and soaring over the mountains, forever happy.
