Lily blushed. James smiled at seeing this. His plan was working.

James was very happy; he didn't think his plan would work this early on in the evening.
"Are you guys having fun?" James asked. People screamed loudly. James laughed. "I'll take that as a yes! So how many guys have had a girlfriend and some other guy tries to come on to her, trying to ask all macho?" Some of the guys shouted thing out. "Then you can relate to this song." James looked at Lily before going on.

James looks really hot up there, Lily thought.
"This goes out to a very special girl. No matter what she said or did to me, I still came back," James said, smiling at Lily.
Everyone knew he was talking about Lily. A few people dared to look back at her. She blushed.

Lily laughed at the lyrics. They were true and flattering.
"For our final song, we're going to slow things down a bit," James said. He looked Lily right in the eye and sang:

James jumped off the stage and walked over to Lily to sing to just her. And as he did, everyone else disappeared. They were the only two people in the world. Neither ever breaking the eye contact.
