Set in the summer of seventh year, right after Half-Blood Prince. After finally realizing their feelings for one another, Harry makes Hermione swear that no matter what happens, she will remain strong and continue on with her life. But when the worse occurs, Hermione finds it harder and harder to keep her promise. Threatened with letting Harry down, Hermione runs away from it all, not realizing that sometimes you have to let your guard down in order to move on. Based on Michelle Branch's "Goodbye to You." EXCERPT: "I paused for a bit, unsure where to go from here. Did she understand now? Did she see that her devotion to him had been nothing short of, not to sound so cruel, a stalker? 'Would you die for him, Ginny?' I asked her finally. 'What?' Ginny looked confused. 'I asked you if you would die for him.' 'I…well…I mean…' Ginny rambled on. I closed my eyes. 'Like you would!'
