Picking up four years after Deathly Hallows (not counting the epilogue), Hermione and Harry find themselves without their spouses who were killed by a rogue group of Death Eaters. Harry struggles to raise his daughter and find his way back to a life of happiness. Meanwhile, Hermione struggles with raising her son while staying home full-time with the help of the Weasley family. She too wants to enter back into the life she had over a year ago, one filled with happiness, satisfaction and thoughts of what the future may bring. Something happens near the one year anniversary of the Death Eater attack that gives them a nudge in the direction they desperately seek.
