A prophecy made on the eve of the Final Battle caused Hermione to leave London on the night she's finally together with Harry. Now, five years later, she's back. She's ready to reconnect with the people she left behind and introduce Harry to someone he should have met years ago. But a new evil has followed her to London and he'll do anything to get her back.
This is an alternate ending to the original story. It starts at the end of Harry's third year, and continues thru his seventh. There is action in many of the chapters, but it's not the focus of the main story. I believe the overwhelming focus should be the main characters. I'm trying to write about a realistic and honest relationship between Harry and Hermione.
Hermione gets the cat, the flat, the food, and the furniture. Ron gets the family and friends. Harry gets the boot, his little book, the blame, and the shame. Ginny gets a new bloke and a haircut. New circumstances mix with old patterns, and Harry and Hermione find their friendship put to the test.
AU. Voldemort kills Dumbledore and advances on the Potters but is vanquished by just a child. In Dumbledore's will, Snape is left the position of Headmaster of Hogwarts and he has changed the school into something else entirely. Harry, sorted into Slytherin, is beginning his Third Year when he realizes that friend and foe are all too similar for his liking. Competing against allies and enemies, Harry learns that there is a price to winning.
A simple request leads to something more than either of them had imagined. Feelings were revealed that night, old walls broken new bridges being built. My take on the famous Harry/Hermione dance scene from Deathly Hallows film. One shot.
Our teen aged heroes are broken. Seeking to escape a world that placed too much on their shoulders, they run away, seeking comfort in a wider world that doesn't know their names. As they attempt to find themselves, are time and each other enough to heal the wounds of war? Will they ever forgive those who placed such heavy burdens upon them? Can they ever return home?
This story takes place a few months after the final battle, the trio returns to Hogwarts to finish school and Lucius is becoming more powerful and with an army of Death Eaters a new threat washes not only over the wizarding world but the Muggle world also. They carried the war them; each in their own ways. On the surface so many had moved on, but deep beneath they were soldiers plagued by their own demons. When Hermione receives an anonymous death threat it seems only natural that she should seek Harry to work together to solve the dilemma. But as Harry's behavior becomes erratic it seems that he might be the one in need of saving. The truth behind what they are about to face is greater than any of them could have foreseen. Unlikely allies and unheard of enemies emerge as secrets of Tom Riddle's life re-surface and nobody is safe. Moves from cannon, no epilogue.
The problem, as Harry sees it, is he simply wasn't prepared.
Egyptian Series Book 2 - Hermione finds out that in another life she was an Egyptian princess who yielded the element of Earth. She also finds out that she had fallen madly in love with Ginny's second in command, which was now, in this life, Harry Potter.
A Post DH/Post Epilogue fic. Four years after Hermione resigns from her job at the Ministry and moves away, she is forced by necessity to ask Harry to take care of Hugo. Harry doesn't know that Hugo is his son.
I had envisioned when I was but a youth how it would feel to be so loved and so cared for by a man. The main characters endure a lot of pain and hardship in the HP novels. In this story, following the battle of Hogwarts, good things begin to happen. While this story is inconsistent with what JKR wrote in the epilogue of book seven, it considers other magical possibilities that might have occurred. This is primarily a falling on love story that draws on the commitment Harry and Hermione have to each other in the novels.
