Sequel to ‘More Important Than Any Broomstick.’ The Wizarding World faces an even greater threat than Voldemort – a civil war led by a dark lord from the past. As with ‘Broomstick,’ this story is set ten years later than canon. Therefore, it begins in 2005 instead of 1995, the summer before Harry and Hermione start their fifth year at Hogwarts. Remember that in the previous story, they found a way to power technology with magic.

AU A few days after being rescued from the dementor's kiss, Sirius Black decides to share information with Harry about his destiny. The story continues on from there.
Total Dumbledore bashing. He's manipulating many people, including Harry, for his own purposes. Story starts a month after Harry has been told the prophecy in OotP. Very slight DH spoiler in the last chapter. No Horcruxes
AU It's Christmas in Harry's third year. When Hermione causes his new Firebolt to be confiscated, he realises that she is more important than any broomstick to him. Continues on through the books from there until the end of their fourth year. 21st century technology is used (as though this story started in 2003 instead of 1993)
At the Yule Ball in GoF, Harry realizes that his feelings for Hermione have changed.
