Everyone knows what the last word of Book 7 was reported to be (before it was changed at the last moment). But I don't have to read the book (which I have no intention of doing) to know that it won't be used anything like it is here. Rated R just to be on the safe side.
Harry has changed his mind about leaving school to seek out Voldemort’s Horcruxes and avenge Dumbledore’s death. Having been persuaded that he is unprepared for so monumental a task, Harry returns for his final year at Hogwarts, determined to learn all the magic he can before setting off to fulfill his destiny. But danger, as it ever does, finds him wherever he is, whether at school or at the Burrow. As he rises to meet these challenges, he faces new feelings that complicate his mission to acquire the skills that will enable him to triumph over the Dark Lord. As old questions are answered, new ones arise to take their place, culminating in a secret so incredible that it will shake Harry’s world to its foundations. Follow Harry, his friends, and his enemies as they struggle with the decisions that will shape their lives. (A canon-based plot, augmented by an AU romance based on reworked canon data.) Alas, this novel-in-the-making is now paused for a while. Thanks to all for your support.
After a trying week at work, Harry is looking forward to a relaxing weekend with his wife and family. No such luck. Upon his return, he learns that his daughter did something she shouldn't have done, which was seen by someone who shouldn't have seen. What unfolds then, to use Harry's words, shouldn't happen to a dog. (My first, and last, humor fic.)
