He thought he didn't need anyone. A Malfoy stands on his own, after all. But after Draco died on the battlefield he finds himself back on Earth, visible only to Ginny Weasley and destined to find the one thing he desired from life yet refused to accept. Love. His resolve begins to fade...but so does his opportunity for a second chance.
After Ron's death, Harry promised Hermione that he would always be there for her. He might have to break that promise as he battles a deadly disease within himself. Songfic, based off the song 'When I'm Gone' by Three Doors Down
The meaning of love is taught to a little girl as she repeats a question to her mother. A story through the eyes of Hermione looking at her daughter as she writes the love of her life. Years later Hermione's daughter reads the letter. Bittersweet. Slightly fluffy. Not like my other stories. R/R!
Forever changed by the final confrontation with Voldemort, Hermione finds a way to move on in the one man she'd thought left forever...Harry.
"When I sit and look out of my window and think about all that my life has become, it makes me sick. To be so incredibly intelligent, I have been morosely naïve in the ways of love and how they affect me. I was in love-am still in love."
Inspired by the song "Viva Forever" - go listen to it...right now. You should all read this...the fics only like what - 350 words? Please R/R.
Harry and Hermione find a mini-solace. A bit of smut, post HBP.
I can never think of a good title, but anyway, this is a short one-shot that takes place at the end of the final war. It's from Hermione's point of view. I hope you like it.
“Harry Bloody Potter, Mr. I always have to be the one to save everyone and take all the credit,” Ron spat. The look on Harry’s face could kill. Before Ron knew what was happening, Harry wound back and punched him hard on the eye. Harry narrowed his eyes and abruptly turned and stormed off.
"Some things," he said, holding her eyes for all the while, "should never be forgotten."
How can the light that burned so brightly suddenly burn so pale? A sad Hermione, together with Harry, promises herself one thing...
She placed her hand on the cold glass, as though she could actually touch him. That she could really make everything okay, or possibly even lift the weight of the world off his weakened shoulders. She wished that, just for a time, she had the power to make his life easy.
Hermione gives her virginity to Harry to help him battle his depression after the events of Book 5. No longer a one shot. Please Review, even just to say my story sucks:)
The briefest of drabbles, wherein the Author attempts to reconcile recent canon with Higher Truth. Call it a morsel of comfort food.
Even with Voldemort gone, Harry finds that his 'Happy Ending' still eludes him. FIC ADMIN (gal-texter) NOTE Nov 2008: ending chapter may be found here: http://community.livejournal.com/fanfict00bs/43760.html
One-shot, my take on a scene from HBP
MAJOR BOOK SIX SPOILER WARING: I have used some dialogue form book 6 in the second chapter!!This is a response to a challenge in the forums, Helping Ginny. It will be from Hermione's PoV on helping Ginny get Harry, and how she fights for her own feelings towards him. Most of this will be taking scenes from the new book and filling in the details JKR left out, and how there is still hope left for H/Hr in the 7th book.
As things come to a head during 7th year, Hermione explains her feelings to Harry. Chapter 2 is a fix plus a bonus scene.
Spoilers for Book 6, so don't read this if you haven't read that first. THIS IS NOT A HAPPY FIC! If you want nice fluffiness, seek elsewhere. This is a purely depressing story reflecting how I felt after reading HBP. Enjoy.
No one ever talks about her, but it always hangs in the air.
"Hermione Granger clung blindly to the broken castle walls, struggling against the crowd of screaming people running through the tumbling debris." Trapped in a world they don't know and can't understand, Harry and Hermione must learn to depend on each other to survive.
Harry's been gone for eleven years, assumed dead. Hermione was left without a husband, but with a child. Is Harry alive? What will become of Hermione and their daughter Lily when they find out the truth?
During the Final Battle, Ron decides to figure out when Harry and Hermione fall in love as he lies wounded on the battlefield
What kind of dreams do you have when you're 17-years-old and the Boy Who Lived?
Sharing a terrace house in London with Ron is no problem for Harry or Hermione - but each has trouble with the other being so near, and yet so far. What would Harry do if he knew Hermione had a certain sex toy? And how would she feel about a certain kink he has? Also mentions Ron/Luna and previous (not explicit) Harry/Ginny.
It all starts out with a meeting. Little do Harry and Hermione know what problems and dilemmas will surface along with their secret relationship. Hearts are shattered, prophecies are spoken, disappearances occur, plans are schemed, and discoveries beyond their understanding are made. Can their relationship withstand the perils it is subject to? Will their fate and worries stand in the way of true love? They can only hope not...Final Chapter Up
What is the line between good and evil? Harry's grown tired of letting others control him. Finally he takes matters into his own hands.
setting: harry and hermione are sitting by the lake, coming to terms with a loss... (rated for swearing)
They had dreamed of this day since that fateful night when Harry Potter had become famous. Voldemort’s defeat was the one thing everyone had wanted. But no one felt like celebrating because they had been defeated too. Somehow got deleted? Warning: Inferred character death. PG for some depressing imagery.
A prophecy was predicted several years ago. Years later, the Prophecy has been repeated and the battle lines have been drawn. Harry finds courage in places he had never looked before. When the ones he finds himself closest to are attacked, will he rely on those he hadn't counted as friends before to help him defeat his enemy, or will he attempt to go forth on his own? ((Also G/D and R/L...AU since HBP))
Hermione worries that she's failed him. Again.
Harry has been away from the magical world for a while, having lost his ability to perform magic when he defeated Voldemort. Summoned back, he can hardly believe the changes that have happened. The new Dark Lord’s influence has spread quickly and this time the Order isn’t there to help. Still, perhaps all Harry really needed to get his strength back was one of Mrs Weasley’s breakfasts. Completed.
Greater love hath no one than to give one's life for another... It was the power of love, the power of sacrifice... the power Voldemort knows not.
Ron Weasley always used to think that Luna Lovegood was insane. Utterly loony. At first he had laughed outright at her obvious lunacy; who else but her would believe in such crazy, surreal things? My response to a challenge made over at the Ron/Luna Ficathon.
Written in memory of my grandfather. Remus watches as Harry passes away, and comes to an important realization.
A group of onlookers watch as Harry and Hermione's relationship literally explodes into the next step...One-shot.
Hermione Granger wasn't always a bookworm. She led a frightened, intimidated childhood which she would never let down. This is a one shot fic from Hermione's perspective, telling about her greatest regret, how she came to love books, and how she came to know a kind, tiny, raven-haired boy.
(One-Shot) There was just no way around it. Whether it was necessary or not, heroic or not, there was simply no escaping the fact of his actions. He had killed. And he made me just like him… (Minor Fluff Warning)
"He’s seen the meticulous way she arranges her life. It’s about allotting time and lists and careful arrangement. For the first time, he understands how he’s changed that." Hermione Granger is nothing but rational - everything love is not.
Why can't I breathe whenever I think about you? Why can't I breate whenever I talk about you? Songfic based on the song "Why Can't I?" Bad summary, little bit better story...
Bittersweet Harmony fluff about Harry's return from the warfront.
Yet another take on Harry revealing the prophecy to his nearest and dearest. Plus some other light-hearted banter! Not necessarily as lame as it sounds (once you get past some minor corniness). My first story; please review!
Harry struggled with himself. He had faced Voldemort, hundreds of death eaters, a basilisk, and giant spiders, and none of it even compared to how hard this was. How could he tell the love of his life that he was ready to let her go? Harry stumbled over the word in his mind, but once he saw the pain in her eyes, and the struggle she was going through, he knew what his answer would be. Angst/Romance. Please R&R! *Epilogue Posted*
It’s just an angsty bit of romance that I felt compelled to write a long time ago for Valentine’s Day. Note the title; it is a bit sad at parts, but it has the kind of ending that we all love. Originally a one-shot that I've decided to add a SECOND CHAPTER to. Now complete. Small Snippet to Torture Reader until Reader Reads (and Reviews .:Hint:. .:Hint:.): His lips descended upon hers. Oh Merlin, such warmth, need, desperation . . . love. The world fell away, and all she knew was him. Smooth, soft lips, teeth, tongues . . . he was everywhere, touching everywhere.
"He lives on stolen kisses and meetings arranged by fate." Harry and Hermione, forced to choose between love and duty, choose duty. But what if they had chosen love? Angst abound!
As if Hermione Granger would let a little thing like death keep her from talking. Now she recounts her love for a certain raven-haired messiah from beyond the grave. But wait, there's going to be a happy harmonious ending, right? (right)
Hermione quietly wages a battle with herself. WARNING: Nothing but angst.
When Harry finds himself stranded with no where to go he decides his best bet is Hermione's house. Too bad that when he gets there he finds she has another vistor that is definately not her brother. Plot is finally revieled and somethings are made clear.
Ginny is not as she seems. Protected by both sides in the war, she haunts Draco's mind. He dedicates every moment to her demise, but how will he react when she steps into the ring of Death Eaters once the last war is about to begin? More importantly, what will he do when he is assigned to teach her what the day in the life of a real death eater truly means? See if they can survive each other's company...
"She knew that she would probably never be fully appreciated by him, always taken for granted. But why did she stay? Because she knew, deep down, that he needed her. And that was enough." How our hero unknowingly makes a great mistake and how our favorite heroine handles it.
