Takes place where book 5 ends, and shows the growing relationship between the trio, and the tension between Harry and Hermione...even though Hermione agreed to go out with Ron...as to not hurt his feelings. How will Harry feel? Will he be able to get Hermione for himself without ruining his friendship with Ron? (yes, but it will surprise you...)

Voldemort builds a terrible fortress christened the "Xanthius" to project more terror to the Wizard World. ACT 1: "Fugitives of the Ministry" - Ron is accused of the murder attempt on Dumbledore. There is a much deeper and more sinister plot than meets the eye. Harry and Hermione do all they can not only to save their best friend, but they will also have to fight for their lives.

This fic starts where OoTP leaves off and takes Harry and the others through the summer as he deals with his grief, guilt, and new feelings for Hermione. This is my first H/Hr fic!
[Time Turner Fic] '“Harry,” said Hermione, shivering herself. “The room we were just in–the time room. I think the vortex may have been some sort of portal. I think,” she paused, gathering her breath, “we might be in a different time.”' You know the time room in the Department of Mysteries? What would've happened had Neville, Hermione, and Harry taken a different door? One that will lead them to a bleak future, a proud past, and an uncertain beginning.
Luna has tried every subtle way to get Ron to notice her. Oblivious to her affections, he still thinks her as “Loony” Lovegood. Toward the end of his 7th year though, Ron suffers a tragedy and the only person to turn to is Luna. After their encounter, Ron finds himself looking at Luna in a new light. But she has moved on, given up after two years of being ignored. Now Ron has to try and win her heart back before he loses her forever. *Chapter 2 reposted!!*

But when he returns from victory, he comes back to find the girl he loves in ruins and that he had just lost the one thing he swore to return for.
